DoubleTree by Hilton Columbia

The food

The pool

The beds and pillow were comfortable. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

I didn't like how the air conditioner turned off and on.....but maybe it only runs like that. It was loud, then quiet.

The Spa, Whirlpool, Indoor pool and the buffet

The fire alarm that kept going on and off

Location

The air vent right beside the head of the bed I slept in made me a little sick. And the pool should be available around 8am instead of 10am, because of check out time.

Didn’t have my reservation. Took an hour for them to finally let me cancel my booking.com reservation and make a new one. Room was also not well cleaned

Comfort and peace and the shower

Room bar

Someone had a dog on the third floor. We have stayed here three previous times and never heard a dog before.

Clean and convenient

Air conditioner was loud when running

terrific breakfast. very nice neighborhood. quiet.

Clean, comfortable, conveniently located!!

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. We were visiting family that lived 3 minutes away from the hotel. It was very convenient for us.

It must be difficult to regulate the sound of the air conditioning unit but it was a bit noisy during the night when it cycled on and off.

The cheeseburger was the best I ever had at a restaurant

Location

This property is in dire need of upgrades. Only working elevator was malfunctioning, price was high as well

cleanness , breakfast

no laundry service

The hotel inside is huge and very nice, great full bar as well. Indoor pool and just a nice looking hotel. Great price point for the quality of the hotel

The rooms are nice but a little aged, the bathrooms are very nice and what was amazing was the water pressure haha. I know that sounds funny but so often showers are just plain weak and aren't refreshing. The TV access as far as channels and apps could use an update but that didn't take away from my view of the staff and building itself.

Is loved that it still has a lot of the old hotel look. Yet the renovation is still beautiful. I was greeted and handed a warm delicious cookie and water. Very sweet and warm atmosphere.

The room still needs a little updating. The drawers were broke. And some things still outdated. But it looks like slowly they are getting there.

Location

Hot tub out of order

Vriendelijke personeel

Mooi rustige omgeving

Friendly staff , Hilton warm cookies

The stay was comfortable and enjoyable

There was an incident with some of the teenagers there during our stay banging on our door and running but the staff made sure to intervene and got it under control

Very good and large selection of breakfast items to choose from.

Accessible room was at the end of the 4th floor... not very accessible. Room not ready by 3 p.m.

Clean and friendly staff

Nothing

One member of front desk staff gave wrong information that made an otherwise easily remedied issue much worse.

Experience with one member of front desk staff who gave wrong information and neglected to communicate a simple request to her colleagues.

The breakfast was very nice.

The indoor pool was closed. There was no bathtub. One elevator was broken making the other incredibly slow. The place reeked of marijuana. By far my least favorite Double Tree visit.

The hotel was Beautiful in itself

The pool area was not heated and the jacuzzi was not working and closed very cold in the pool area making it a bad experience

The rooms were clean .

Pool was broke , I called before to make sure because that's the only reason I chose them . So they give me over priced breakfast vouchers for their buffet . It was disgusting , had better food at 2am at Dennys.

The staff was excellent, rooms are nice

The room was close to a busy highway so traffic noise was noticalbe for several hours

Love the atmosphere! Very friendly and professional staff! Breakfast was awesome!! Location was wonderful!!

Pool wasn't working but booking.com site said it was open. That was very, very disappointing!!

The walls were paper thin, heard everything from neighbors, asked to move then they put us beside a baby that cried all night! Place was empty no reason to put us side by side! Pool and hot tub were broke and I even asked before booking if it was good!!!!they should note when it’s down they said it was down for weeks!

Our room was very clean, and staff was great. Room is a tad-bit outdated, but I would stay again. The hotel itself is well designed. Thank you to Ms. Mary and Ms. Angela in Operations for singing Happy Birthday to my son! They made our day!

Keep up d good job

None

The property was in a convenient location. The staff was kind and professional. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

There wasn’t anything about the property that I didn’t like.

The rooms and conference room were excellent, clean, and good sized!

The restaurant in the hotel couldn't accommodate our group due to already having another group reserve for 6pm on Sunday. We have been eating at the restaurant after every business conference we've attended at the hotel with a group anywhere from 15-40 people. We understood but we were not happy with the way the manager handled the situation with our group. He was actually quite rude.

The room was dusty.

The staff, the hotel beauty, and the home feeling!

Stayed here because it was the closest reasonable hotel to where we needed to be. The Marriot Merriweather was closer but 3 times the price. Hotel was fine. Room was fine. HVAC was a little noisy but it didn't bother us. Standard Hilton Doubletree. Pool looked nice but we didn't try it. Room was clean. They did forget to clean the room one night. Breakfast was the downside. Normally breakfast is not included however Hilton was running a special and included the buffet. I would have been very upset to pay for the buffet. It is only a slight step up from a Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, the only restaurants in the area may be 10 minutes away. I would probably stay here again if the rates were good but would find another place for breakfast.

Nice property

Pay for breakfast, it’s not included

Location was great. About 15 mins from the Inner Habor. Breakfast was delicious.

It had a nice lobby/ bar area w beautiful Christmas decorations.

Stay wasn’t long enough to experience it fully. But rooms were a little dated in some aspects.

Loved the inside of the hotel and room. Was very nice and modern.

A customer service worker wasn't super friendly

The place is very good and very clean. The service and staff are very good, especially Mrs. Angela from the cafe canteen, an excellent, charming person.

The hotel's televisions could be smart TVs in the 21st century, they still use flat screen TVs, it's incredible.

Nice staff . Nice room and good bar. I used the gym everyday which was clean and functional

The room could have been cleaner in the nooks and crannies. I would also say that the bathroom is a little tired.

All good. Loved the pillows! Very convenient if you are seeing a show at Merriweather Post Pavillon.

Breakfast was not the quality I expected for the price. Bagels were stale. Sausage was of an unusual consistency - were they microwaved? I can't speak for the items I did not try. Service was very friendly and quick to bring coffee, juice.

Nice stay. Roomy with nice sitting area.

Unfortunately the only thing I had to say was I booked for a king room and when I arrived for check in I was told that they overbooked king beds and asked if I would be okay with having two queens instead. I was fine with that but just disappointed that I wasn’t able to get the room I originally booked.

lovely hotel in a lovely location.

friendly check-in experience with complimentary water bottles and cookies.

Nice hotel.

It was secluded and very quiet. Very clean and welcoming

All good

Room was clean and updated

Clean room. Beautiful lobby and common areas. Nice breakfast offerings. Friendly staff.

Great location with nice restaurant and bar

Repeat guest. Always good.

Hotel was modern and very clean.Location and shuttle bus to Merriweather Post.

Nice hotel

Always consistent in service, cleanliness and friendliness. Steve G

Shuttle to nearby concert venue.

Traffic noise HVAC unit too loud (had to turn it off to sleep Toilet exhaust fan too loud (sounds like a truck) Breakfast is not free, very expensive, charge $3.00 for bad coffee

Great service but really dated and broken furniture in rooms. We stay here once or twice a year due to convenience and service. Last year we asked when they were going to update the cabinetry (doors falling off, beat up at the bottom) and upholstery (dirty chairs and sofas and finally replace old outlets with USB ports. The front desk said they thought last March 2025. Well, that didn't happen. We'll give it one more try, then may switch to Marriott.
