Very beautiful place

My second stay at Stoney Creek while sending my kids to university. Just a really comfortable place to stay and great value.

Room was not cleaned or towels replaced during stay.

They charged my card 2 times. It was caught immediately but I had to wait for it drop off so I was on a tighter budget than I expected.

Dirty. No staff ever around.. lights out in lamps. No outdoor lighting in parking lot. Pricey for condition. Room smelled of cat. Shower. Curtain fell.

I didn’t have a tv.. my bathroom was broken.. it was very loud from the noise upstairs.. the dog next door barked all night long.. I asked front desk for help.. but they didn’t do anything and waited until 11 at night to try to change the TVs..

Breakfast was not good and fresh never seen a breakfast attendant and I specifically asked about the breakfast before booking and what I was told was just the opposite

The front desk staff and assistant manager were amazing. The location was close to everything. The hotel has interesting themes in each room. The rooms were very spacious.

Our room wouldn’t cool down, bathroom faucets were leaky, light switches were broken and the hot tub jets were not operating.

The front desk was cheerful and friendly. The facilities had everything we were looking for; pool, a good breakfast , a good location near the attractions we were visiting and a microwave and refrigerator in the room.

The pool wasn't very well maintained. On the first day there I noticed the floor around the pool and some dead bugs, and the sides of the pool were quite dirty, but it's late in the season so I could overlook that, although the bugs were still there the next day. But the second day by noon there were few towels and when we came back that night there were none. I did tell the front desk when we returned to our room. I tried to use the phone to inform the front desk, but it didn't work. The freezer in our room was frosted up, something else I would over look. But when we woke up on our departure date the freezer had thawed and our drinks were not cold. I did not know that when staying for a couple days there would be no maid service. However, we did empty our trash and got new towels from the maids carts. I would have asked first, but we never saw a maid just the carts. Cups in the room would be a good idea, as you have a coffee maker. We got ours from the front desk.

I loved everything about the hotel it was definitely one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at and it was exceptionally clean the room blew my mind in was big and had a very nice setup and also the staff were extremely nice and professional,I will also say the swimming pool and jacuzzi were amazing it was truly an experience that any person/family should be able to experience no matter how far they are

The outlet where I was supposed to charge my phone didn’t hold my plug so my phone didn’t charge overnight. The shower somehow leaked water ALL OVER the floor. I was supposed to have a king size bed and had a double instead.

This property was pet friendly and the room had a jetted tub. I was impressed by how large the room was and there was even a patio with outdoor access to take my dog outside. The bed was comfortable. The spa tub was heaven.

No complaints here.

Manager was rude about parking and kicked us out for barely being over a line. Wasn't full parking lot. Very strange way to behave for a manager. Apparently her bad day got taken out on us.

The room wasn't clean. There was thick dust on the higher surfaces, and there was hair all over the bed, comforter, and sheets. There was also hair on the walls of the shower. The bathroom counter was broken, and the faucet leaked badly.

Easy location

I requested extra towels to be placed in our room… NO TOWELS. Front desk said they forgot to do that. They were NOT busy either!!! I can understand overlooking that IF they were busy. No ice bucket in the room either!!! The hallway on the third floor was VERY HOT and HUMID!!!

Room was very nice the chair in the room was very comfortable. Your day time staff at the front desk was very nice and cheerful.

The night clerk wasn't very nice try to tell us we didn't have a room. But we ended up with one and we did have a reservation.

Location and the decor

It is in need of repairs. Going down hill. The rooms were dirty. We stayed in 160 and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Toilet was dirty. I wanted to ask front desk if she had cleaning supplies so I could clean the toilet. Electric outlets were broke. No towels, toilet paper, coffee pods. No towels in pool area. Breakfast bar was poor

It was a beautiful place

My room was leaking from the ceiling the entire time I stayed there. The noise was intense with stomping screaming yelling from people next to us.

The Stoney Creek Hotel has seen better days and needs some updating - but the property is beautiful and peaceful.

They have double charged me! One time through booking and a 2nd time at the lodge. i called and no call back. I emailed and no response.

The hotel was sold out and the facility had tool booking,com ahead of our visit. The property looked great and the desk staff was very nice and apologetic about our mit getting a room. I think it would have been a nice place to spend the night.

I didn’t like that booking made us a reservation, knowing that the hotel was already sold out.

I recently stayed at Stoney Creek for the better part of 5 consecutive weeks (minus weekends) for business in town. Short of some very minor housekeeping needs the stay was very quiet, accommodating, and comfortable. My team especially enjoyed the early daily breakfast being ready in time for them to grab a meal prior to heading out to the job site. As for me personally I found the staff very pleasant and professional. GM Noelle went out of her way to make this a welcome and satisfying stay for all. She was even kind enough to keep me booked in a 1st floor room near all the conveniences during my stay as I was dealing with a knee injury at the time. I would definitely go back and recommend for any individual or business looking for a quaint budget friendly stay option with a pleasant and accommodating staff!

My daughter stayed here on 07.12.2026, she checked in late and they charged her $25.00, she woke up after being bit by a bed bug. She have 8 bites. She went to the front desk at like 4am, showed the clerk the video and her bites and she said she didn't know what to do. She called the manager who told her she didn't know what to do either, just to put her in another room and put her belongings in a plastic bag. The manager would talk to her when she came in. She was scared to death to go to sleep. She checked the whole room and ended up falling asleep on the couch. When the manager came in she said she knew nothing about it and the clerk my daughter spoke to had already went home and there was nothing she could do. Than tried to charge her full price (multiple times) for the room!!!!!!!!! I told her to ask for a copy of the incident report and was told they didn't make one and even if they did they wouldn't give her a copy of it. I hope the health department checks every room in the place. Absolutely horrendous!!!!!!!!!!! Just an FYI, I was in video chat with my daughter the entire time. Tried to upload the videos below but it keeps giving me an error.

Property was run down, in need of several repairs, and seemed short on staff. I have stayed at this same hotel years prior, but would not recommend now.

It’s a themed property. We used to come here years ago when the girls were little. The breakfast was better than the normal hotel fare

It’s showing its age. The furniture is scuffed and the whole place could be cleaner. After three nights they were supposed to change the sheets and towels. That didn’t happen.

Cabin (room) size was nice. Kitchenette area was adequate for our needs. The complementary breakfast was good - there were several options including hot food. The pool area was very cool with it's indoor/outdoor design and other features.

One of the outer doors in and out of the building near our room did not always close on its own. We found that if other visitors were not intentionally pulling it closed, it was not always locked at night. One of the faucets in our bathroom would not completely turn off. We did report this to the front desk, and they were going to have a plumber look at it the next day.

I took an offer to upgrade my room for an extra $15. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The lodge theme and decor is nice. Great location!

Facilities are a little run down. Seems like it used to be a really nice place. I had high expectations based on the reviews I read and was a little disappointed with the overall condition.

Beds need new mattress

Missing tile in elevator. This needs to be addressed immediately. This is a tripping hazard.

The breakfast was for me since I just grabbed a quick bite before going to work. The gym was good. Nice TV set, functioning machines, a nice set of barbells Good location. 10 minutes away from the University Hospital moving on a bike.

The cleaning service could have been better. Didn't get soap in the shower or a shampoo refill.

The location

The bathtub was extremely tall and very dangerous to exit after a shower. The front desk staff were always on a smoke break and difficult to get them. The bartender had a bad attitude. The bar had no common drinks available. The entire hotel is in bad need of a renovation. Absolutely no way I would stay here again even if it was for free.

The room was large

Room phone was broken, ceiling fan was broken as well. The electric outlet for the air conditioner did not have a cover and I had to move a dresser in front of it so my toddler could not touch it and get electrocuted. Their crib was broken so my toddler didn't have a bed and had to sleep with us. Told the front desk about these issues and they did not attempt to fix any of the problems.

There is not very much to like. The room was never cleaned nor did staff tell us how to connect to that. We were able to get some fresh towels after a few days. Basically, the place is so run down. Needs refurbishing and repairs and an update. The desk clerk wasn't around when I wanted to pay for some snacks. Had my daughters confirmation party there 20 years ago and obviously it has gone down hill since that time. 20 years is a long time to not refurbish the furniture, repair the doors, replace the carpet etc. Lighting is poor as well. I wouldn't recommend it unless they don't care about those things.

The jets in the pool area hot tub were not working. The person at the front desk who check us in was not familiar enough with the layout of the hotel that she could not tell us the most direct route to our room.

The room I stayed in was dirty, the microwave handle was glued back on, just replace the whole microwave. They’re cheap. I feel like I got robbed with how dirty it was in there and the bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were terrible.

Emma, at the front desk, helped me out when I had inadvertently, double booked. Originally, I thought I was booking through the hotel website, but found when I checked in that the original reservation was booked through a third party that I didn't know. Emma researched the info and got me the confirmation number for the third party reservation, and I was able to call and cancel.
