Very clean comfy bed and I loved the room darkening curtains!

My only complaint was that we did arrive about 1hour 15 minutes before the 4 o'clock check in and they would not check us in without paying an additional 25.00.. most places accept early check ins .thar would be my only reason for not returning

It was close to Baltimore, near eateries, gas stations, and other major retail establishments. Easy to get to the interstate as well. Room was clean, updated, AC worked well, beds comfortable. Parking was easy and readily available. Enough soap and shampoo and conditioner.

Breakfast was less than. For the price I paid for the hotel, breakfast should have been included like so many others. Staff did not answer questions or really make any effort to resolve anything.

Broken light switches, tattered furniture, two of the three exercise machines in the gym didn’t work, and the staff didn’t seem to care who knows how long they’ve been broken.

The staff was friendly.

Again, the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, after a long day of running errands and arriving late, I was disappointed that I had to request a different room because the first one was not clean. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition the bathtub was dirty, and the overall cleanliness did not meet expectations. Even my second room was not clean — there was a dirty rag behind the chair , and makeup on the pillowcase.

It had a great location to get to the merriweather post pavilion

It smelled a little musty, our tv didn’t work in our first room, it looked like the rooms hadnt been updated in years

I've stayed there before and liked it but this bed was very lumpy and there were used paper towels on the balcony and what looked like blood on the curtains

All except the laundry is old school I can’t use , coz need coins . I’m like travel light and how I will bring coins . That’s very inconvenient as my daughter need to swim and now we will flying with wet clothes. Very hassle . Need to improve that, I ask for help the receptionist said she don’t have . If u don’t want to changes it atleast some available coins or make token we can purchase or charge to the room

I have always liked this location.

I have been staying here several times a year for the past 3 years with my Irish Setters and never had an issue. I declared I had 2 dogs with me when I made the reservation. However, I was informed at check in that there was a policy for no dogs over 20 pounds. This is new and the policy is not apparent on the property details. This was the 4th of July weekend, I had no alternative to choose another hotel and I would have had to pay the cancellation fee anyway. I was charged $300 extra dollars ($50 a day per dog). This is outrageous. I feel I was taken advantage of and will never stay at this property again!

Staff at the front desk was rude. Rooms advertised as have balconies, was told at the desk after getting a room without a balcony that wasn't guarantee even though it didn't say that anywhere in the booking - the only part of the hotel that looked nice was the lobby, guest rooms were stained, dingy, and didn't feel clean. They will also hold your room deposit for 10 days after check out! Won't ever stay at a Sonesta Select again.

The air conditioning didn’t work, there were not extra linens for the pull out bed, there was a very bad smell through most of the hotel especially the corridor to the pool, the pool was cloudy and very small. These air not working and the bad smell made it difficult to sleep and the only reason we picked this location was for the pool that we didn’t end up using due to the awful smell and the unclean look of the pool.

I’m writing because the booking/listing states breakfast included, but the breakfast provided was only a muffin. There was no choice and no additional items. Also, beverages were not provided as expected—there was only black coffee, and orange juice apple juice options. In addition, housekeeping has been a major issue. The room was not cleaned properly, and during my stay I did not receive basic amenities—most importantly, there was no bottle water in the room. Because what I received does not match what was advertised,

I was appalled when I got there and sat in lobby with my pick up dinner and was told you can not eat in lobby. My family had 3 orders of steak and I said where am I to eat and was told my room. I travel a lot and never have been told no eating in the lobby with seating and tables for 40+! Never will stay here again or recommend this hotel

The whole hotel had unclean smell to the facility, and the hotel room was very smelly and musty. I had to place lots of air fresheners in the room along with spraying lots of Lysol.

Breakfast was not available as posted on Bookings.com and I was unable to adjust the thermostat to my liking and was unreasonably cold. It was very late when I arrived and was too tired to call for extra blankets or adjust the thermostat. Highly disappointed there was no breakfast as mentioned so I left still hungry, angry and disappointed. I will not return to this facility.

The desk staff were doing their minimal effort for answering questions but I was too tired to hang around.

all rooms seem to be advertised to have a balcony. I booked a room with a balcony… to arrive to a window and no balcony.

When I booked through Booking.com, there was an option to select a room with or without breakfast, and I chose the breakfast-inclusive rate. Unfortunately, when I checked in, I was informed that no breakfast is served on Mondays. I contacted Booking.com and made them aware of the issue. If you're booking, I would recommend confirming directly with the hotel that breakfast is actually available on the days of your stay so you don't end up paying extra for a service that isn't offered.

The pool was not clean! The ceiling of the ice machine room was dripping water and moldy. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom of my room as well.

The decor was somewhat updated/modern and the facilities were clean.

I booked my stay online and looked forward to breakfast being included only to learn that I get a drink and a pastry. There were additional options available for purchase. So, the breakfast description and options should be more clearly stated on booking sites.

This hotel and in convenient to my work place and very affordable. I used to stay here 2-3 times a week until management changed.

Change in management they aren’t accommodating and quick to call the local cops over situations that can be resolved easily with the customer.

The room and staff were nice

The shower head was detachable and fell off and busted the porcelain soap bar holder. I almost cut my hand because I dont wear my glasses the shower. Dangerous design.
