FORMAL COMPLAINT 15 August 2026 Customer Service and Complaints Department Booking.com B.V. Herengracht 597 1017 CE Amsterdam, The Netherlands Subject: Formal complaint and request for intervention and refund - reservation 5034406313 Dear Sir or Madam, I am submitting a formal complaint concerning accommodation booked through Booking.com at The Beverly Hilton for 4 to 10 August 2026. The listing and booking process did not provide adequate notice that a central advertised amenity was unavailable or that extensive renovation activity would materially affect the stay. We relied on the information presented when committing to a booking costing US$16,499.78. Reservation details Reservation Booking.com confirmation no. 5034406313 Property The Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills, California Stay 4-10 August 2026 (six nights) Party 11 guests: 7 adults and 4 children Rooms 4 rooms: 1 Premier Room with Terrace and 3 Junior Suites Total price US$16,499.78 (approximately NIS 48,752) Grounds of complaint - The swimming pool was unavailable throughout our stay. We were not informed of the closure before arrival, despite travelling with young children and selecting a full-service luxury hotel. - Extensive renovation work was taking place at the hotel. From early morning, numerous workers were operating in and around the parts of the building where our rooms were located. This caused substantial noise, disturbance and loss of privacy. No meaningful advance disclosure was made. - We are Sabbath-observant and therefore do not use elevators on Shabbat. On Saturday, access to the stairs was blocked because of an event held at the hotel. Staff prevented us from using the staircase for close to an hour while we were accompanied by young children. Our explanation and requests were not handled with appropriate care or urgency. - These were not minor inconveniences.

Room was clean, good size and nicely laid out, Bathroom was clean and breakfast selection was good
Could have provided a notice that hotel was under renovation as construction noise was loud and started early in the morning. To use alternative swimming pool and spa you had to book ahead which is irritating on a 2 day trip. Restaurant always felt damp in the morning due to humidity, hotel overall feels outdated and breakfast was not great for the price. Much better off going next door to the Waldorf Astoria for breakfast, ambience, service and food was far better and not too much of a price increase.

I have enjoyed my stay at the Beverly Hilton, the location was decent and the room was clean and comfortable.
Construction on-site is a bit confusing for ubers to know where to pick us up from
The bed was comfortable
The property was going under construction, so our suite that we paid extra money for with the balcony overlook the whole construction site, which was not explained to me upon making the reservation. There was a few pieces of trash on our floor of our clean room and hair by the bedside pillow. For a popular hotel, I would expect the coffee maker to be in the room instead of having to call for it and we got three packets of creamer that’s it I guess I just would’ve expected a little more than what we got.

Just got here, the room is very nice and quiet . John from the concierge team is very friendly and accommodating. All of the staff is great, I feel at home!
I’ve stayed in many many hotels and this one is excellent. The standard of cleanliness is splendid. The fit in this room and bathroom is beautiful. Separate shower and luxurious bath and bed. The whole four day stay has been just lovely due in no small measure to the fantastic staff.
I liked everything.
This is an elegant hotel full of history. It is well worth a stay. The grounds were well kept. The property was well maintained. The staff were helpful and friendly. The service was excellent. The view from our room was fantastic. The toiletries, Byredo Bal d'afrique, is one of my favorites. The late dinner we ordered was so delicious. The wait time was a bit long but it was worth it. I would love to come back.
The restroom, is dirty and wet, I mentioned this at the front desk
An icon ! Everyone we encountered were helpful and willing to assist . The construction made it painful and everything was so different . Maybe having more areas for meetings and quiet time, there was a particular girl Marshel who went above and beyond to assist me with an emergency . Thank you again!
I was working the event and Marshall was so efficient! I saw her interacting with guest and was phenomenal!
I love everything about this place ! Everything and every time deliver perfection! Shoutout to Marshall from New Orleans! I came in for my usual lunch and she was so nice !
I love this hotel
The Hilton Beverly Hills has been totally REDONE. Now it is straight off wilshire boulevard. The Hotel is stunning. More modern than the Beverly Wilshire. Absolutely new in every way. The rooms are huge, newly decorated. Byredo products. The terrace looks at the whole city. Lovely areas throughout. It feel lavish. And the staff is over 5 stars, specially Hayadeh who has the customer service I have seen in only the highest rated places. Absolutely professional. As well as Princess. The Hilton Beverly Hils is the new jewel of this area. With great prices. Absolutely a must.
Location and staff friendliness
Not the same as before. Most of the places were closed
A $600/Night Nightmare: Ruined Vacation and Hidden Disclosures I booked a stay at The Beverly Hilton expecting the premium, luxury experience the brand is known for. Instead, my vacation was completely ruined. At over $600 for a single night (FOR A NON IMPRESSIVE ROOM MAY I ADD), the conditions of this hotel were entirely unacceptable. They hide a tiny disclaimer about "neighboring construction" in their policies, but that completely fails to represent the extreme severity of the disruption. The construction wasn't just "neighboring" it was directly outside my balcony, rendering the room practically uninhabitable. Here is what you can actually expect if you stay here right now: Deafening Late-Night Noise: There was loud banging and smashing right outside our room that relentlessly continued until 1:00 AM. It was completely impossible to sleep. A vague disclaimer does not excuse industrial noise in the middle of the night at a "luxury" hotel. Noxious Fumes & Unusable Balcony: A strong, pervasive smell of burnt tar drifted directly into our room. Because of the toxic fumes and the immediate proximity of the work, we couldn't even step foot on our balcony on Friday evening. Undisclosed Pool Closure: To top it all off, we arrived to find the pool was closed. This was never mentioned anywhere during the booking process, stripping away a major amenity we paid for. Paying premium prices for late-night industrial noise, toxic fumes, and closed amenities is an absolute joke. I have contacted management for a full refund, but in the meantime, consider this a warning. Save your money and look elsewhere!

I’ve stayed here before, lovely hotel. My preferred place to stay when I come to LA for work. However I’m not reviewing the hotel right now. I am highlighting Hayedeh Lopez and her exceptional service. Great concierge who is TRULY helpful.
This hotel is under major construction. There are limited services- no pool, no salon or spa, one small restaurant, no room service or in room coffee. Small gym in basement. The lobby feels unfinished. The Ubers had a tough time with the construction entrance. Plus side is good Beverly Hills location and clean room. So only stay here if you have to be in Beverly Hills and have an amazing rate. I look forward to seeing it when the construction is completed.

Supertolles und modernes Hotel mitten in Beverly Hills. Das Frühstück im obersten Stockwerk war genial.
This was a very disappointing experience overall. The level of service did not meet even basic expectations for a hotel of this category and price range. The staff was consistently unresponsive and lacked professionalism, particularly in the restaurant, where service was slow, inattentive, and disorganized. What was most concerning is that the management team appeared disengaged and ineffective in resolving issues. Requests were either ignored or handled without any real follow-through, which created a sense that guest concerns were not taken seriously. Given the premium pricing, the quality of service and overall experience were far below what should be expected. There is a clear mismatch between price and value. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the worst hotel stays I have experienced.

There are some pluses to this hotel, even amid the construction, which I'll come back to in a moment. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. Other than that, the construction noise is almost around the clock and it is difficult to sleep at night because of it. The quality of the food in the Circa 55 restaurant is institutional. Staff are pleasant but there's really no reason to stay here among the other choices in the immediate area, unless you have to.

Historic hotel, great suite.
Arrived in the middle of renovations, no prior notice given of these. The building work was constant, could not sit on the wrap around balcony of the suite we'd booked. The hotel was hosting an event and the external company had taken over the hotel. The guests were made to feel like an inconvenience and could not go anywhere in the hotel. What was supposed to be the pinnacle of our 6-week trip was, in reality, a waste of time and money.
Location and view
Towels were very small - I know it’s a minor detail but it’s a very expensive hotel-
**Disappointing Operational Failures — Saved Only by Two Outstanding Employees** Before getting into my stay, some broader issues need to be addressed. The Beverly Hilton is shockingly bad at answering its published phone number. I called the evening of 1/27 to confirm my 1/29 check-in — the phone rang roughly 15 times before anyone answered. I called multiple additional times during my stay, including the evening of 2/3/26, and the phone was never picked up at all. This was *after* the hotel had cleared out from the Grammys, so there were no remaining excuses. I was calling to extend my stay — a fairly basic request — and this level of inaccessibility is not what one expects from a top-tier (nearly five-star) hotel. I’m sure management will respond with a generic “we’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations,” but how about properly training your staff instead? This clearly wasn’t an isolated incident and did not only affect me. When I finally got through, I spoke with a young man and asked to be connected to a front desk representative named Dickey (who I’ll mention again — he was excellent). I was told no one by that name worked there. I explained that he absolutely did and spelled the name. At that point, the phone went silent. I called back and reached a young woman who informed me — unlike the previous person — that I had not reached the front desk and that she would connect me with in-house reservations. Within two minutes, my extended stay was handled efficiently and professionally. Whoever that young man was should be spoken to. This is not the level of service expected at the Beverly Hilton. Management might consider sending some employees down the street to another hotel with “Beverly” in its name for a lesson in five-star hospitality. Now to check-in. Due to construction, the main entrance is closed, making it very unclear for drivers where to pull in. Some find it, some don’t. When I was dropped off, there was no one available to assist with luggage. I had to drag my heavy bags up the front stairs myself while staff looked on without offering help. I’m perfectly capable, but after traveling, assistance would have been appropriate. I later learned there was a ramp around the side — something no one mentioned while watching me struggle. Be extremely careful where your room is located. There is massive construction underway, including major excavation at the front of the hotel. You do *not* want a room facing that area. I checked in around 10 p.m. and was stunned by the noise below — trucks, activity, constant disruption. I don’t mind city noise, but this was far beyond that. I went to the front desk and was told construction would stop by 11 p.m. and not resume until 9 a.m. I requested a room change and was told none were available on the quiet side. Construction continued well past 1 a.m., and I was woken again at exactly 7:20 a.m. by truck backup alarms. It was a miserable night. The next morning, I mentioned the noise to housekeeping staff, who informed me that some rooms on the quieter side were becoming vacant. I immediately went to the front desk and spoke with Dickey. Dickey was a **superstar**. He moved me to a quiet room, handled everything seamlessly, and restored what had been a very poor experience. He also arranged for bellman Craig to assist me — and Craig was equally outstanding. Professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Thanks to the two of them, the remainder of my stay was excellent. Management: please don’t respond with a canned apology. If you reply at all, make it clear you actually read this review.
Nice and clean hotel with good staff
Stay was only OK. No coffee bar in room. No coffee available in lobby. Room service breakfast took a long time and wasn’t great. Construction going on outside can be loud. I didn’t have a do not disturb sign when I first got there. Had to ask for it twice. Hair dryer was not good. I did like that the comforter was not too heavy or hot.
The hotel is adjacent to a construction site which goes with diggers and noise until 11pm. Do not stay here for at least 2 years.
Staff and location are always excellent, which is why I keep returning. That customer service is top notch; they make everything wonderful. Free wifi.
Loads of construction for massive renovations that is expected to go into 2028. The construction went into the night but not late. No hotel gift shop to get sundries due to construction. For the high rates of a room this is a bit annoying; throughout the construction the rates should be lowered. Drop off and pick up is temporarily on Wilshire out front. It’s just something to be aware of. If this doesn’t bother you, stay there because the staff are seriously the best people in the world and this construction has nothing to do with the service level. It’s a necessary renovation.

No pool & building work - wasn’t made aware
The Beverly Hilton is the place we would stay whenever we came to Los Angeles. While stays in the past were always enjoyable, the pool was out of sight, (especially when Dean Martin and Frank were playing in the background). Old Hollywood indeed! The food is delicious and the staff is always over and above polite, professional and kind. With the extensive construction, Hilton most certainly could have done better with extra perks for the customers due to the considerable inconveniences. Honestly Hilton, you are a multi-billion dollar entity.....it's time to give back to those who made you who you are today, that being, THE GUESTS! How about a free nights stay, complimentary dinner, tickets to the nearby comedy club in West Hollywood? It's above the immediate management's power to make these calls. Let the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors and Hilton family step up to the plate and start giving back! Are not your wallets padded enough with comfort? I doubt you would even come across this review on Trip Advisor. You are far too aloof, and lack true awareness, know not how to take action, and have your own agenda to honor this idea. Never forget where you came from, and the hoi polloi who helped get you there!

Location, grandezza della camera d dotazione. Cordialità del personale.
Palestra troppo piccola. Minibar vuoto (incomprensibile per un 5*). Couverture non effettuata.
I stayed at this property for New Year’s Eve. While I was upgraded to a nice suite and the stay was pleasant, for the price there is room for improvement. For what I spent, I honestly should’ve stayed next door at the Waldorf. The “NYE meal” at Circa 55 was a disappointment. Rushed service and lack of attention. It felt as if they were more concerns with pushing guest through than delivering a memorable experience. I was also told that only the prix fixe option was available, and then watched as nearby tables ordered off the full menu. One glass of “complimentary” champagne with my dinner and never offered another cocktail. The lobster bisque’s emulsion was broken and visibly oily. The petite filet was maybe 4oz. Dinner was a let down. The property was also undergoing construction which , while hinted at in the app at booking, was drastically underplayed as to the extent of inconvenience. My Uber had to circle the block twice to find a drop off “entrance,” which then required me walking in through a side door, what felt like a service corridor, and some stairs before I could find the lobby. Yes, they had staff to direct me, but it set a sad tone from the start. The entire entry / departure process was so inconvenient I literally had my departing uber meet me at the Waldorf to make it less complicated. The upgraded suite was nice, but the empty space on the wall where a TV was shown in the app was a reminder of the incompleteness of the room. Amenities were lacking and bath toiletries you would expect in a luxury property were essentially absent. I recognize the property is iconic and as such, dated - in need of the makeover it is receiving. However, the experience for a major event like NYE was notably lacking in comparison to the expectations set by the properties online portrayal. Perhaps after the construction it will be worth the price and worth another chance… until then, I caution against this property - particularly considering other options in Beverly Hills. I typically enjoy every Hilton property and trust the brand, but in this case, Hilton could do far far better.

A really disappointing stay. Wish I had read the reviews earlier. The construction has really limited service, from valet and drop off to room service, and there was even a planned two hour power outage during dinner time which is insane for a hotel. But instead of trying to make up for its shortfalls the Beverly Hilton does nothing. There was little warning of a planned power outage and they did nothing but offer flashlights to guests. The staff is friendly and generally great so they are not to blame. All of these issues fall on management. Even when I asked for an umbrella during the current extreme storms happening in LA, staff said they weren’t allowed to. Their response to these issues seems to be to blame construction but the truth is they do nothing to mitigate the impact. They charge visitors the same prices for much, much less and just blame construction for their bad experience. I ended up moving to the Fairmont nearby and recommend everyone else does the same.
The Beverly Hilton has very nice rooms with clean toilets. It also has an amazing view! The hotel staff were top notch with the basic amenities like a pool and a gym which were decent. However, do note that it is undergoing an expansion so sounds may be heard. I found that the bedsheets were a bit old but overall, kids and adults will enjoy this hotel.
Hi. We love this hotel , usually, but not this time. First I need to compliment the staff. They were all professional, hardworking and very personable. Thanksgiving dinner at Circa 55 was wonderful and a great evening. That’s about it. The info online about the renovations do not go into the extent of the chaos. It’s a freaking mess. The logistics to drive to the hotel is beyond crazy. The valets are trying hard to make sense of drop off but it is a mess to find it and hard to deal with. The whole place is not what it used to be and I believe that for the next 3-5 years it will not be worth the trip. No room service, no mini bar, no coffee pot. Truly not a one star for a 4-5 star hotel. Not a peep ahead of time about the extent of the chaos. When we checked in the clerk asked us if we wanted to cancel! Where we would go on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving after driving 7 hours to get there. We did change rooms to the other side away from the construction which was very nice. No compensation or credit for a very expensive hotel stay. We were very suprised at the lack of any information from management. Don’t stay there now. Find another location until it’s all done.
excellent rooms, upgraded fully. Large and nice lobby too. Breakfast was good and staff courtesy was excellent too. Quite a great place to stay
The hotel is in a good location, rooms are spacious, staff is very helpful and friendly.
Currently there is a construction right next door.
Location is great, lots of restaurants and shopping options close by, nice neighborhood too. Princess at the Concierge desk went the extra mile and valet service was great
Breakfast was poor in every way possible! Couldn't handle more than ten tables, even though we stayed at the hotel we had to book if we wanted to have breakfast between 8 and 9, menu was limited and the quality well below par. Major renovations on the site are being done which they don't mention when you book. Noise levels early morning from the drilling was horrible. Booking.com confirmation indicates that taxes etc. are included in the rate, however, they say that's not the case and we have to take it up with Booking.com
The room was very noisy. The stuff was not helpful. The whole place is under construction.
I would like to express my deep appreciation to Ms. Grazyna and Mr. Michael Sanchez. They were truly the best part of my entire experience at this hotel. Both of them were exceptionally professional, kind, and attentive—they made me feel as if I were the only guest they were serving. If I have any respect for this hotel, it is solely because of these two individuals. However, the overall service provided by the hotel was extremely disappointing. To begin with, my room was not cleaned for three consecutive days. I even approached a staff member who was working in another room and politely asked him to tidy my room, but he refused and did not do it—something I consider very unprofessional. Additionally, there was no water in the room, and water was only provided when I specifically asked for it. There was no coffee machine, and the lamp in room 758 was broken and not functioning. Parking was another inconvenience and added unnecessary stress to my stay. Furthermore, when I called room service to request something very simple, I was told the wait time would be 35 minutes because they were “busy.” I honestly do not understand how a hotel of this level considers such delays acceptable. It feels as if the hotel management is unaware that guests are actual human beings who deserve proper hospitality and basic service. In my opinion, the hotel is in urgent need of reorganization and operational improvement, because the current level of service does not match its name or reputation.
Temiz konumu çok iyi bir oteldi. Çalışanlar inanılmaz yardım severdi
Herşeyden memnun kaldık
The staff
So much guest and outside event traffic
מיקום מעולה ואוירה טובה
תשלום יקר על חניית רכב במלון
It was clean and nice
No room service No mini bar Load construction out side No breakfast buffet All above has nothing on your website that it does not exists. We paid $650 for one night and it was a max $150 a night experience
Do not stay at the Beverly Hilton. Their parking and valet situation was already messed up, along with the closure of the pool, now there’s no room service either. And forget about ordering DoorDash because there’s no place for the delivery driver to park their car to come inside to deliver the food. There was no help available to bring our luggage to our room. The rooms are stripped of anything you can grab and walk away with, like a pen and a notepad. If you call the front desk to request more water, they tell you to pay for it because you are only allowed two water bottles at check-in. For $550 dollars a night, at a supposedly premium hotel, you get only one water bottle per person for your stay. Yes, you can walk to the “ICE” room and refill that water bottle however times you like. Very disappointed.
It could be made known in plain simple unhidden, and talked about messaging that there is construction going on I would not have booked.
L emplavement
Le personnel pas agréable pas serviable très décevant . La propreté de la chambre très moyenne
I didn’t get the level of room that I paid for; so i definitely overpaid and then I ordered room service and it took over an hour so I was late to a meeting; not to mention the breakfast order that arrived as I was walking out the door was not even the correct order. I was told they would compensate for the meal but I never even had breakfast; and no refund for my room. Very Disappointing:(
Construction on going and we couldn’t access the pool
