Quinta do Passo

We stayed in the 2-bedroom villa for 4 nights. The location is fantastic — right in the middle of the city, near the main plaza, and within walking distance of several restaurants. The supermarket is also just a 5-minute drive away. The kids loved the pool and used it after we return from our day trips

For our family of 6, the villa felt a little small.

La casa es ideal, perfecta para 3-4 personas! Esta bien equipada y es muy cómoda. Es como un paraíso en el pueblo que tiene muy poca infraestructura.

No sabia que la piscina era compartida, aunque es cierto que las otras villas no la usaron. No había lavadora.

We loved the location, right in the heart of Ribeira Grande! Lovely light, nice pool, gardens and patio, comfortable beds.. The guests in the other units during our stay were very nice, friendly and conscientious. Thanks to our host for the tasty gifts provided...we would definitely stay here again if we get the chance!

De ligging is super, huis is super mooi en modern. Heerlijke tuin en zwembad.

The apartments are in a very private and tranquil location yet only a few minutes’ walk from the central facilities of Ribeira Grande. Comfortable living area and bedroom and a good size bathroom with walk-in shower. The kitchen area was well-equipped too for fairly simple home cooking using the hob and microwave. Too cold to use the pool but lovely outdoor seating areas, nicely maintained.

The only minor issue was that it took a really long time for the shower to get hot. The kitchen bins had colour coded bags but there were no instructions about what to put in each bin.

We stayed as a family of four with two young children (ages 6 and 9), and the experience was wonderful. The hosts were exceptionally kind and welcoming, always ready to help with any request or question. We were greeted with a thoughtful gift upon arrival, which made our stay feel even more special. The villa is secure and gated, with convenient parking inside the property. It’s perfectly located, regularly cleaned, and very well equipped. We truly enjoyed our stay as a family.

The only small downside was that the sofa bed mattress was a bit thin, which made it slightly less comfortable for sleeping. Other than that, everything else was excellent.

Cool location, near a quiet town square, front patio and spacious private back patio. Modern design, all new build, pretty swimming pool. Two dedicated parking spaces on the street for the rentals. Welcome basket and coffee maker very thoughtful and helpful. Great restaurants within easy walk. Two beautiful churches nearby kept time. Single story property but must be ambulatory to climb exterior stairs to enter property.

Communication with management requires data or wifi to get check in instructions. Otherwise, it was lovely.

Liegt zentral, hat alles super geklappt, in jedem Raum Klimagerät, was in der kalten Jahreszeit super war. Viel Platz, sehr sauber. Freundlicher Empfang mit lecker Brot, Milch, Käse...Parkplatz vor dem Haus sehr gut.

Estuvimos a punto de no reservar al leer un par de comentarios negativos, por suerte SI reservamos porque es un alojamiento fantástico. La distribución del apartamento es muy buena el exterior con las zonas comunes es muy bonito, las camas super cómodas, todo estaba limpio y la atención recibida por el anfitrión fue estupenda, incluso nos dio una cesta de bienvenida. Además en el pueblo que está ubicado en el centro de la isla hace que sea muy cómodo desplazarse para visitar otros lugares sin necesidad de tener que estar cambiando de alojamiento. Y por último tiene cuatro plazas de parking reales dos dentro y dos reservadas justo enfrente en la calle. Recomendaré este sitio a mis amigos para que reserven cuando visiten la isla sin dudarlo.

Como decían algún comentario negativo hay un poco de humedad en la esquina de la ducha del baño y la puerta está algo pesada para abrir y cerrar, pero son dos cosas que no tienen ninguna importancia ya que todo lo positivo supera en mucho estos puntos insignificantes. Por poner un inconveniente, si tuviese lavavajillas sería perfecto, pero me alojaría de nuevo sin dudarlo aunque no lo tenga.

A estadia na Quinta do Passo foi uma experiência envolta em serenidade e beleza. O encontro harmonioso entre a arquitetura contemporânea e a paisagem natural criou um cenário de rara inspiração, onde cada detalhe parecia cuidadosamente pensado para despertar bem-estar. A atmosfera acolhedora, a delicadeza dos espaços e a atenção genuína da equipa transformaram a estadia num refúgio de paz e encanto.

Nada a apontar. A experiência foi absolutamente irrepreensível.

Beautiful outdoor areas and great location!

I wish it were a 2 bedroom. Using the sofa bed for the kids made the living area tight.

Situació, centre població, la Quinta do Passo, és molt acollidora, molt ben cuidada i feta amb molt de gust, cuiden tots els detalls, tant de fora com de dintre, fan els llits i neteja cada dia.

Unser Aufenthalt über vier Tage war leider äußerst enttäuschend. Der Außenbereich war ungepflegt: durchnässte Lounge-Kissen, ein beschädigter Gartentisch und viel Moosbewuchs. Innen roch die Wohnung feucht und miefig, das Badfenster war undicht, die Schiebetür kaum zu bedienen und der Kunststoff-Parkettboden löste sich. Die Küche war veraltet, unpraktisch und zusätzlich von Ameisen befallen. Die Kühlschranktür war falsch montiert, es gab keine Abwaschmaschine und während des gesamten Aufenthalts nur lauwarmes Warmwasser (ich duschte nie)!!! Trotz hoher Kosten erschien nur einmal jemand zur Reinigung. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist völlig katastrophal. Wir haben alle Mängel fotografisch dokumentiert. Dieses Appartement können wir unter keinen Umständen weiterempfehlen.

Excellent stay! Host really was communicative so easy to check in. Loved the accommodations … bed was extremely comfortable and the place was beautiful. So nice to be near historic downtown area but it felt like a little oasis of our own. Courtyard was beautiful and too bad we were off season as the pool was looking lovely. Close to restaurants, grocery store and the beautiful waterfront area. Truly top notch. Great to have designated parking!

Nice stay in Quinta do Passo - easy spot to visit the area - very clean and quiet rooms - lots of space.

The property was beautiful, well maintained and equipped. There was a lovely welcome basket waiting for us upon arrival, providing essentials to hold us over until we were able to go grocery shopping. Having several designated parking places was very helpful. It was like a hidden garden oasis in the midst of an old city.

Though the directions for usage were detailed, the door lock to the unit was complicated. We finally got the pattern down by the time we left. A suggestion for consideration is to provide a few suggestions for local restaurants, grocery stores and sights to see in the area. Though google is our friend, some personal recommendations would have been appreciated.

This was our favorite stay in Sao Miguel and exceeded our expectations. The location is unbeatable and there is a town square nearby with lots of eateries and live music on the weekend. The pool was perfect and the communal space feels both private and inviting. Facilities were impeccably clean. Would definitely stay here again.

La facilité d'accès, le parking, la parking, le ménage fait tous les jours, la disponibilité et rapidité de réponse du propriétaire.

Il y avait quelques traces en bas de certains murs, liés certainement à des dégrats des eaux.

The villa and grounds were beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Very central to a lot of points of interest on Sao Miguel island, and everything was easily accessible by car. Also, Ribeira Grande itself boasts some fun cafés, restaurants, a grocery store, and a beach, most within walking distance of Quinta do Passo. Our host Nuno was very friendly and gave us some great tips on spots to check out on the island.

The villa is highly recommended. Top location right next to the beautiful village square with a super pasticeria. The beach is within walking distance and also a meeting point (depending on the weather) of a surf school. The seating area overlooking the pool and the beautiful garden is a lovely spot. The houses are modern, but in the centre of a historic environment.

Situé au cœur de Ribeira le site est exceptionnel un petit havre de paix dans un écrin de verdure au cœur de la ville. Les appartements sont très soigneusement aménagés et propres.

Location is on the city's central street, but it's a bit of walk toward the beach (downhill to there, uphill back). Parking was easy - reserved places, plus some free around. Getting in so-so, as second parking place is inside the courtyard, that car occupies space you need to turn around with luggage. Steep stairs up, no lift. The villa was 2-bedroom at the end, with private inner terrace and overall spacious for 5ppl. Inner garden territory is well maintained, perfect lawn and small yet cozy pool. The villa looks cool overall, I would love to have more service associated with it - like having cook come and do the dinner, have breakfast prepared and served.. Not by the host, but just give locals opportunity to earn more by catering and servicing. I got this in other places, wasn't an offer here, unfortunately. It's kind of too good for AirBnB style, yet misses more personalized service offering to make it luxurious, relaxed and free of cooking duties.

The building is modern, yet to me moderately comfortable (I wish to have hotel style beds with plush bedding). Biggest issue was not having an in-built oven, so you can't just put food into oven to cook and enjoy the evening, instead you need to truly cook on the cooking top. No good restaurants nearby. City environment next to piazza is dirty, loud and full of drunk local folks, so again, not enjoyable to walk back late evenings from far away. The grill is available outdoors (no instructions provided, no one used it from our neighbors within the stay). Having second wc would be good too. Overall it was Ok, yet haven't met my expectations.

Unexpected little oasis in the city. Very comfortable suite in a beautiful setting with a pool that is lit at night. Easy to check in and leave. Very close to the centre and the major attractions. Parking was very easy as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Lots of space in the villa and the villa was as good as in the pictures on booking.com.The kitchen utensils were of a very high quality. The air conditioning was very effective.All chairs and the sofa were comfortable. Able to walk to shops and restaurants, but it is better to hire a car to explore the rest of the island.

The air conditioning unit of the villa next to us was slightly noisy at night when sitting in the living room. Didn't have an oven, and I would have liked a parasol, but these were only minor things..

The location is amazing - within a few hundred paces of the centre of Ribera Grande. All very clean, comfy beds, well-equipped. Each of the 3 bungalows on site has its own parking place.

Having only one key was a bit annoying, as was having just one bathroom/toilet. But these were small things.

Excellent location, easy parking, nice terrace, easy self check-in

It was quite dirty and wet. Windows were covered with stains and dirt as if they never get cleaned and when we arrived, the flat had an unpleasant smell of a mould. In our welcome basket a cheese was spoiled and covered with huge mould. It'd be better not to have that welcome basket at all. When taking a shower it's impossible to avoid water being all around the floor because of a flat shower construction. Disgusting quality of toiletries - basically 1 kind of cheapest diluted 2l bottle of something 3 in 1. They have to mention to other guests that there's only 1 parking per room. Few times we arrived and couldn't park because neighbours had taken 2 places. No towels change. Wi-fi connection was down several times during all the day. Would be nice to have a dishwasher and an iron. On the last day we were 20 min late to check-out so the manager (who never answered my calls before) called me twice! talking in a very unfriendly way to get out.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit kleinem Pool. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (bei über 300 Euro/Nacht) leider nicht gut, zu teuer für die Grösse und Qualität. Schimmel unter der Spüle, ansonsten aber sehr sauber.

Very good location, cleaning the rooms everyday exept weekends, perfect garden and pool. The host was helpful and answered any questions. Check-in and check-out are very smooth.

The pillows were uncomfortable and of poor quality. The second sofa bed is not comfortable to sleep on because it is very hard and does not have an additional mattress. We were unlucky because we arrived during the ancient craft fair - when there was a celebration in the city center during which we couldn't sleep until 2 am for 4 days. This is one of the few disadvantages of being near the central square.

We had a beautiful 5-night stay in the end unit of this 3-unit property. The entire property was immaculate and peaceful. Perfect location in the center of town so we could walk to everything, and there are private parking spots for your rental car. Being centrally located, we could drive anywhere on the island in less than an hour. Nuno the host left a very nice welcome basket with local cheese, milk, crackers and cookies. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast every day. We would definitely stay here again, and although we had a number to reach Nuno if needed, we would have loved to have had a more personal interaction with him, as we enjoy meeting our hosts (note- this did not take anything away from our stay, it’s just our preference!). We truly loved our time here, thank-you Nuno for providing such a wonderful stay!

The property accommodated 6 people (4 adult, 2 young girls teens) quite well for its size because the outdoor living spaces are so lovely. We enjoyed great family meals on the back patio and appreciated the well stocked kitchen for cooking and we enjoyed the front area for Lounging and reading. The location was perfect and walkable to all of town, with town square being located right across the street. It was very quiet and safe. We would be happy to return.

We didn’t find any complaints about the property. Minor, but it may have been nice to have two gate openers with 6 people but we figured out quickly to just leave it in the safe box so we could be on independent schedules.

Our accommodations at "Quinta do Passo" in the town of Ribeira Grande on the Azores were exceptional. Wonderful design, modern, well maintained, clean and all amenities available. Perfect location with yet private inner court with pool and amazing garden. Rear patio area and grill as well. Key pickup and communication were impeccable. Rooms were cleaned twice during our stay with a change of towels. Host, Eduarda e Nuno Costa got back to us within minutes of any question we had and resolved all inquires.

It was very convenient to find Quinta with a detailed description of the staff. There are a few parking spots. The territory has a beautiful pool with lights. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is clean and well equipped. Special thanks for chairs in front of the house.

Great apartment! I appreciated the great communication from my host, Nuno - he provided all the necessary instructions prior to my visit & also made sure I was comfortable when I arrived. They used self - check in & check out with all instructions clearly explained - all went fine !! The apartment was perfect for a short or long stay - great amenities- all kitchen utensils/appliances & full size propane bbq. The weather was cool so I was not able to use the outdoor pool but in the summer months this would be perfect on a hot day!! I highly recommend & would would stay again !! Great complex with 3 units & close to the old town with restaurants & local people.

Beautiful in town apartment that feels like a mini oasis. Loved having a kitchen and loved the outdoor areas. The hosts made sure we were set up with a crib for the baby which was so nice as we didn’t have to port one with us.

Nothing really. If I’m being nit picky the modern shower with no closure always seems weird to me as water escapes but it’s truly not a real issue.

Amazing stay!..The host was super kind and attentive, available to help us when we had doubts. We were surprised with a basket of local treats which we found super lovely! House was well equipped and House cleaning every second day was the cherry on the cake. Thank you very much for making our stay one to remember!

We loved everything about this property... the amenities, location, privacy, parking, etc. The bed was sooo comfortable, bathroom was roomy and shower worked great, the outdoor space was exceptional (we'd have a beer in the afternoon sitting on our patio), TV's in both the living room and bedroom had lots of channels to choose from, A/C in both the living room and bedroom worked great, and kitchen was just big enough to get the job done if choose to cook. After going into the larger town of Ponta Delgada in the south to catch a tour, we were so glad we decided to stay in the quieter area in the north of Sao Miguel! This property is a few minutes walk to the ocean, shops, and restaurants. Including, an outdoor public square where you can get a bite to eat and/or drink (including a latte in the morning!) with the locals.
