Haus, Zimmer, Gemeinschafts-Küche, Frühstücksbereich und Garten waren sehr sauber neuwertig und gepflegt.

Nur am ersten Tag (Sonntags) gab es ein erweitertes Frühstück mit gesunden Toppings (Goij-Beeren, Mandeln usw) fürs Müsli und den leckeren Dingen, die auf den Fotos zu sehen sind. An den anderen Tagen war die Auswahl kleiner aber ausreichend. Die Betten sind ok; die Matratze könnte besser sein.

Tolles Frühstück, alles frisch zubereitet. Der Pool war angenehm erfrischend. Dank der Größe der Unterkunft sehr angenehme Atmosphäre

Es ist ein kleines Paradies auf Erden. Wunderschön ausgestattet, herzlich und mit Liebe gestaltet, kleines, aber feines Frühstück. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt geliebt- Highlight außer unserem Zimmer war die Einladung am örtlichen Festival beim Blumenteppichgestalten teilzunehmen. Obrigada for the love we felt!

Sus instalaciones son muy completas: piscina, cocina completa, parking,… lo que facilita mucho la estancia. El desayuno está muy bien, muy completo y rico.

Por decir algo, no tiene ascensor y cuidado de pequeños detalles: la cisterna sonaba, el estor no estaba muy cuidado. Pero todo muy muy bien y recomendable.

Mir hat die geschmackvolle Einrichtung gefallen, sogar schöner als auf den Bildern dargestellt, zweckmäßige Zimmereinrichtung, wo es aber an nichts fehlt, Ablagemöglichkeiten gibt es auch. Extra Handtücher gibt es praktischerweise für den Pool und für Thermalquellen in der Umgebung. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist super praktisch und das Frühstück ganz toll. Parkplätze gleich am Haus. Was will man mehr im Urlaub? Zum Entschleunigen super gut.

Nous sommes partis tôt en raison de l'horaire de notre vol retour et n'avons pas pu déjeuner. On aurait apprécié avoir au moins une capsule de café et quelques viennoiseries avant de partir...

Das Frühstück war großartig, mit viel Auswahl und vielen lokalen Produkten und selbstgemachten Komponenten - war etwas leer, wurde sofort für Nachschub gesorgt. Das Personal beim Frühstück war super hilfsbereit und nett. Der beheizte Pool war für die Kinder großartig. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, die Matratzen nicht durchgelegen. Das Zimmer bot viel Platz und wurde täglich gereinigt. Die gesamte Anlage ist toll gepflegt und wunderschön, auch der gemeinschaftliche Aufenthaltsbereich ist großartig. Die zentrale Lage auf der Insel ist super - von hier kommt man überall gut hin. Wir haben schöne Tage hier verbracht und kommen sehr gern wieder!

Wunderbare Anlage mit geheiztem Pool und tollen Frühstücksbuffet im Freien. Schöne Zimmer und aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

El alojamiento estaba impecable y las instalaciones son muy nuevas y bonitas. Habitación grande, cama muy cómoda y toallas buenas. La piscina está genial y el agua caliente se agradece. El desayuno está muy completo y con productos de buena calidad. Repetiría sin duda!!

El modelo de alojamiento es muy buena idea, zonas comunes de las todos pueden hacer uso..cocina, frigo común, etc.El problema en estos casos suele ser la gente, cuando no respeta lo que no es suyo y coge comida de otros. Por poner un 'pero', sabiendo que íbamos con un carrito y un bebé, la habitación en la planta alta teniendo que subir escaleras era un poco inconveniente.

L'ensemble, hôtel au top. Je recommande fortement ce lieu. Calme, propre et une belle terrasse avec piscine à débordement.

Moc krásné ubytování, měli jsme pokoj s výhledem na moře. V celém objektu bylo čisto a cítili jsme se tam moc příjemně. Personál byl ochotný a nápomocný. Super byl i vyhřívaný bazén. Snídaně byly výborné, denně bylo čerstvé ovoce. Moc jsme si pobyt užili! Parkovacích míst bylo dostatek a byla zastřešená.

Akorát nebyl moc prostor na sušení plavek a ručníků.

El desayuno buenísimo. El ambiente tranquilo y la piscina calmada que ayudan a desconectar desde que entras. Te proporcionan toallas también para las termas sin problema. El personal muy amable.

Schöner Pool Bereich, überall sauber und gute Möglichkeit in der gemeinsamen Küche etwas zu kochen. Jedes Zimmer hat sein eigenes Fach und ein Kühlschrankabteil.

- Frühstück war okay, aber nicht so gut, wie das alle hier beschreiben. Da hatten wir schon um Welten bessere Frühstücke. Eier waren kalt und die gekochten Eier so hart, dass sie kaum zu essen waren. Das Rührei schmeckte alt und nicht frisch. Den „Kaffee“, wenn man das so nennen kann, kann man gar nicht trinken. Ansonsten ist es einfach gehalten, nicht spektakulär und auch nicht sonderlich qualitativ und frisch. - Im Bad fehlte es an Ablagen und Haken! Man konnte fast nichts abstellen. Die Dusche ist nicht ganz dicht und könnte mal erneuert werden (Schimmel) - Das Zimmer ist sehr steril - Wenn man am Pool ist und sich etwas an der Bar bestellen möchte, muss man eine Klingel drücken, damit jemand kommt. Leider scheint es die Mitarbeitenden nicht zu interessieren, denn es kam NIE jemand, um uns zu bedienen! Dann muss man auch nicht mit einer Bar werben, wenn sie scheinbar nur Deko ist.

Der Pool und das Frühstück und das man selber Mahlzeiten zubereiten konnte.

Die Betten. Unsere Tochter hatte blaue Flecken auf der Wirbelsäule von dem schlechten Zustellbett.

Everything! From super helpful staff at front desk to the beautiful (and well-cleaned rooms) to the absolutely amazing breakfast, we could not have been more pleased. Location is pretty central so no long drives, grounds and pool were beautiful and the staff was so friendly and super helpful. Would highly recommend!

The house and premises are modern, clean, comfortable, cozy in many areas, great breakfast, garden and pool area.

I booked that place because it had a heated pool( to be able to swim for health reasons). A few months ago after my booking the hotel staff notified me that one of the 2 days I was staying the pool area would be unavailable all day for a private party. When I expressed my big disappointment the staff just said to me to visit the island instead. That is s un aceptable as answer and also not a solution for the people who book the house and paid money to have a pool. Also we were told the day I could use the pool that it was 32 degrees but it was not the case. It was maximum 23 or 24, not enough to be long there.

Pool durfte ab 8.00 Uhr bis 10.00 Uhr nicht benutzt werden. Ich musste jeden morgen um 6.30 Uhr aufstehen, um 1 Stunde schwimmen zu können; das war für mich leider ein Kritikpunkt. Ich hatte das Hotel extra wegen dem warmen Pool gebucht. Nach 10.00 Uhr in den Pool zu gehen macht keinen Sinn, wenn man auf der Insel wandern oder Besichtigungen plant. Servicepersonal beim Frühstücken war leider meist unmotiviert. Unter anderem wurde das Geschirr während des Frühstücks nicht abgeräumt, das störte uns persönlich sehr.

We very much enjoyed 4 nights at this small hotel: very comfortable and well appointed room, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast choice and heated swimming pool. Parking is available and a short walk from the town/ beach and good selection of restaurants. One night was a little noisier (our room faced the street and heavy internal door closing could be heard within the room) but we would still recommend this hotel and Riberia Grande as a location. We left very early on the final morning to drive to the airport - just 25 minutes away.

The property felt like someone’s home. It had a nice living area and kitchen set-up for the guests. It was nice and quiet too and close to all amenities and the beach.

Our room - room 6 was very small which in itself is not a problem but there was barely any closet space to unpack into. There’s a small clothing rack at the foot of the bed, one medium sized drawer that my wife and I fit our underwear and socks into, and that’s it. Not very comfortable if you’re staying longer than a few nights and travelling light. No place to store suitcases etc… other than that the room was cute and clean and everything worked including A/C.

This little charming hotel lies on the edge of the centre of Ribeira Grande, and is a small and nice hotel. The hotel is very clean, rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and towels are switched on demand. Towels for the Caldeiras are also available. Staff is very nice and helpful and the breakfast is very good with a big variety of choices.We were booked in one of the suites with a big bathroom and good beds. The centre of Ribeira Grande is on walking distance with some nice restaurants and some shops.

La chambre, séparation entre la salle de bain et la chambre avec seulement du verre (on réveille la chambre quand on a va toilettes). Pas de boutons pour éteindre la lumière près du lit… pas de prise proche du lit. Les volets étaient rouillées, impossible de les fermer. La climatisation n’a pas de mode nuit et le souffle est assez puissant mais bruyant. L’insonorisation de la chambre est mauvaise, on entend les gens dans le couloir/partie commune, et les voitures qui passe, heureusement la route n’est pas trop passante.

The common areas, including the lounge and breakfast area, were beautifully designed and had a very welcoming atmosphere. The pool area was also lovely and well maintained. Breakfast was consistently good, with a great variety of options and regularly some new items to try. The staff were friendly and helpful, and could assist with arranging excursions and other activities. Although the room was quite small, it was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our stay.

The location was somewhat less ideal. Unfortunately, our room faced the street, and there was a significant amount of noise from outside. Sleeping with the window open was virtually impossible because of the traffic and street noise, especially at night.

We had a room (Suite No. 1) with direct access to the very pretty garden area. The room was lovely and well-equipped. Room service was excellent. What could be improved: for example, there were far too few electrical outlets. If the (very good) breakfast is served by the pool and not in the breakfast room, this should be clearly indicated. The staff, or rather all the employees, were always courteous and helpful.

We got room which was super small and with strange bathroom(only glass walls). It was loud from the street in the night and both bed and window blinds were old and used.

Loved breakfast, important to note brunch is on weekends, so the offer changes during the week. Suggest mentioning this during check in. The kitchen was well equipped and the fridge cupboard system works well, as each room has its designed space.

The location of of our room (unit 1) lacked privacy, as the garden faces a corridor that staff use regularly, so they can look into this room, so not great (wished I knew this when I booked). The other issue is the bathroom as is surrounded by glass and not soundproof, so something that was inconvenient for us (not fans of this setup).

Wish there were conveniently located unused outlets in room. Had to unplug lights or TV and bend down to plug in our phones or other devices. The outlet on hair dryer in bathroom didn’t work consistently for us.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is amazing: they did everything they can and beyond to help us and ensure we have a good experience, starting from reservation, tips about places to go, booking activities and answering any question we had with smile and patience. Breakfast is remarkable, rich and tasty. We definitely recommend this place.

Lo importante cuando uno duerme fuera de casa es sentirse cuidado, escuchado y que se preocupen por ti, Volcanic cumple esos tres requisitos a la perfección. Un alojamiento muy mimado, que desprende hospitabilidad y que es justo lo que quieres encontrar al terminar el día o al iniciarlo.

To the team of Volcanic Charming House, I would like to thank you once again for the warm welcome and support during our stay at Volcanic Charming House. Special thanks go to the employee who helped me open my suitcase and to the service team who prepared a packed lunch for us because we had to leave for the airport at 5 a.m. The heated outdoor pool (January) was particularly special. I assume that it was heated with geothermal energy.

There was high humidity in the Azores, but this is due to the climate and could be compensated for by the air conditioning. We also received fresh towels in different colours every day (blue for the house pool, brown for the thermal baths) as it was not possible to dry the laundry. It might be useful to have a dryer in the house.

Ein kleines, ruhiges, sehr sauberes, ansprechend und modern eingerichtetes Haus. Innen wie außen. Das vielfältige und qualitative Frühstück. Am Wochenende gab es ein überaus großzügiges Frühstücksbuffet. Kein Einweggeschirr. Eine zusätzliche Kochgelegenheit in einer qualitativen Küche wurde uns für Mittags sowie Abendessen angeboten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt und die Betten gemacht. Nach der Hälfte unseres Aufenthaltes wurde frische Bettwäsche aufgezogen.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 2. Stock. Es benötigte eine gefühlte Ewigkeit, bis warmes Duschwasser kam. Das sehr sehr schlichte Garderobenstoffgestell in unserem Zimmer. Passte für mich gar nicht zum Rest der qualitativen Einrichtung.

Strávili jsme tu několik mimořádných dní. Servis i prostředí bylo skvělé, personál nadstandartně ochotný a nápomocný. Krásný interier i zahrada. Perfektní snídaně byly bohaté - se spoustou lokálních potravin a bylo z čeho vybírat a neomrzely i po více dnech. Na místě bylo možné nakoupit víno a různé drobnosti. V okolí možnost nákupu a centrální poloha. Děkujeme❤️

Facilities (pool area, kitchen, lounge etc) were good

Room not as described - the deluxe suite is listed and described as having 2 beds (a double with a sofa bed). On arrival we were told it was an extra €50 per night for bedding for the second bed - this is not stated on the website direct or on booking.com. When discussed with front desk the staff member just repeatedly said that we had to give him €50 (without any basis?) if we wanted to use the second bed listed as inclusive in the room. Dishonest description

Staff were friendly, helpful, professional. Room was great, size good, very clean. The breakfast was excellent, lots of variety, fresh & tasty. The pool area was lovely & relaxing, plenty of seating. Loved the communal kitchen where one could cook if one wanted to, designated fridge space for each room & cupboard to keep drinks, snacks, food.

Would have liked some shelving in the room for clothing - stayed for for 9 days, would have appreciated being able to take some clothing out of the suitcase (a chest of drawers under one of the windows would have been great or a larger hanging clothes rack to hang up additional items). Other than that everything was great.

The breakfast was amazing! The staff, house, and cleanliness was also superb. The pool area, kitchen, and wine available to drink was great. When we got there, the front desk person was incredibly helpful and told us all of the key places to go on the island! The house also gives out a map, with recommendations for restaurants and activities.

Loved having parking space and access to the full-stocked kitchen. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. I loved the aesthetic of the spaces.

We travelled off-season and the hotel was empty, which meant that breakfast was not buffet-style, the pool was covered, and the outdoor terrace/bar was closed. Due to the high humidity in the area, the room smelled mouldy and I noticed some on the window frame. It wasn't so bad as to affect my breathing or sleeping, as it might in other instances.

O alojamento estava muito bem localizado e inserido numa zona relativamente sossegada. As infraestruturas eram modernas e bem cuidadas. Foram ainda disponibilizadas toalhas para a piscina (aquecida), bem como robes e toalhas para podermos desfrutar das águas termais da ilha, o que considerámos um ponto bastante positivo.

Relativamente ao quarto, apesar de confortável e limpo, apresentava bastantes manchas de humidade nas janelas. No que diz respeito ao pequeno-almoço, as reviews e as fotografias apresentadas na plataforma Booking não corresponderam totalmente à realidade que nos foi apresentada durante a nossa estadia. Sabíamos que éramos os únicos hóspedes aquando da nossa chegada (passados dois dias chegaram pelo menos mais dois hóspedes) e, por isso, não era expectável um buffet com grande diversidade de pão, pastelaria, bolos, queijos, sumos, etc., até porque compreendemos que tal implicaria um elevado desperdício alimentar. No entanto, o pequeno-almoço publicitado não correspondeu ao que nos foi servido durante parte da estadia. No primeiro pequeno-almoço (terça-feira), foi-nos apresentada uma cesta na mesa com sumo, ovos mexidos e bacon, pão, bolinhos, manteiga, queijo, fiambre, fruta e pudim de chia. Neste dia, a máquina de bebidas quentes encontrava-se ligada. No segundo pequeno-almoço, no dia anterior, foi-nos pedido para assinalar, num papel, os itens que desejávamos. Esses itens, assim como os talheres e as taças, foram colocados num armário da cozinha com o número do nosso quarto. Foi ainda deixada uma jarrinha de leite no frigorífico da cozinha e duas cápsulas de café ao lado da máquina de café. Perante esta alteração, questionei o pessoal da receção, tendo-me sido explicado que estavam com pouco pessoal e que éramos os únicos hóspedes no hotel. Foi-nos ainda referido que, no dia seguinte, entrariam mais hóspedes e que o pequeno-almoço voltaria a ser igual ao do primeiro dia. Questionei também se a máquina de bebidas quentes iria permanecer desligada, ao que nos foi respondido que tínhamos leite no frigorífico e cápsulas de café disponíveis. Apesar de nos terem pedido para preencher o papel com a seleção do pequeno-almoço, não nos foi previamente explicado que haveria alterações nem o motivo das mesmas.

Świetna lokalizacja w centrum z bezpłatnym parkingiem. W okolicy mnóstwu restauracji i sklepów. Obiekt bardzo ładny, urządzony z gustem. Dostęp do świetnie wyposażonej i nowoczesnej kuchni. Dostępny basen aczkolwiek podczas naszego pobytu awaria - brak ogrzewanej wody. Pokoje przestronne, możliwość skorzystania z wielu części wspólnych. Śniadanie hm. jedno bardzo obfite, kolejne skromne.

Zapach w pokoju nie był przyjemny. Rolety i okno do doczyszczenia (pleśń). Przeszklona łazienka może jest ciekawa, ale to chyba nie jest jednak dobry pomysł.

Services de qualité exceptionnels: cuisine commune qui permet de se faire à manger, petit déjeuner excellent, prêt de serviettes pour les thermes et la piscine, piscine que l’on peut utiliser le soir. C’est un petit hôtel à taille humaine et l’on s’y sent bien, car tout a été pensé pour que l’on s’y sente bien. Il mériterait plus que 3 étoiles.

Tout était parfait. Pour faire la difficile: rajouter des dosettes de café avec les sachets de thé, mais c’est vraiment pour trouver quelque chose à dire :)

Vraiment excellent je regrette de ne pas avoir réservé plus de nuit. Endroit idéal pour passer un séjour de rêve à Sao Miguel. Piscine cuisine partagée avec une étagère dans un frigo. Petit déjeuner très complet et de qualité. Le top !

Der beheizte Pool war toll! Auch die Zimmer sind super, diese sind geräumig und modern. Durch die Bepflanzung auf dem gesamten Grundstück wirkt es wie eine Oase. Handtücher gibt es jeweils separat für Zimmer, Pool und sogar für die heißen Quellen.

Atentos no pormenor. Adoramos o detalhe de terem disponível na cozinha vários condimentos. O pormenor e cuidado ao fazerem a cama das crianças. Parabéns
