My room had issues with the ceiling that looked like a leak that was not repaired.

En el piso 7 no estaba disponible la maquina de hielo, habia que subir al piso 9, el control remoto de la TV no funcionaba tuvimos que Llamar para que lo cambiaran, se sentia mucho olor a humedad en el pasillo por las alfombras, en el balcon habia hongo en las paredes, necesita pintura y mantenimiento Algo importante y de seguridad es que los telefonos no functionan para llamar a las Extenciones y en caso de una Emergencia Esto puede traer problemas El unico restaurant que sirve y es excelente es Mortons , Rustica no sirve ni siquiera Tiene copas para tomar un buen vino A Lola no fuimos, salimos a cenar fuera del hotel. En terminos generales la propiedad necesita Mantenimiento el personal es bueno y amable

Maria at the reception was great, like Zaida and Xavier at breakfast. The hotel is well located. Breakfast menu is awesome.

For the price we paid, we were expecting that the resort would be in better shape. There is big changed needed everywhere, at night there is always beeping, even construction at 10pm, the pool showed little signs of maintenence of the water, Around the pool, you could see, from a day to the other, rests of straws and cups on the grass under the lounge chairs, some broken tiles in our bedroom, and bad sound insolation between rooms.

Hotel staff members were very helpful. Two nice size pools. Restaurants on-site and 3 or so local restaurants across the street.

This place is much nicer than TripAdvisor says. I chose to stay here with my parents since they used to come here a lot as children. First, The architecture is amazing. It has this retro 60s feel. I felt like I was inside an episode of Mad Men. I loved the pool/beach area and seeing the contrast of the palm trees, airplanes and helicopters passing by, and other buildings. The service is great. Everyone tries to be kind and Efraín at breakfast was wonderful. The room was impeccably clean, everything looked brand new, and housekeeping was attentive. My favorite part of the hotel is the vibe. Elegant but not snobby at all. It’s a very much come-as-you-are kind of place. Very real. I loved seeing the diversity of different guests. You see people of all colors and ages. My only criticism is that the phone in my room didn’t seem to be working for me to contact Front Desk. It in no way affected my stay. Overall don’t let TripAdvisor fool you. I held back from staying here because of the reviews and it was so wrong. Already made reservations for Thanksgiving!

I loved my stay at this hotel, the beach access and the pool were so easy, such pretty views from the backyard of the hotel and the staff were so friendly and amazing!! Especially Chris Maldonado at the front desk, he helped me figure out an issue I had with my booking and was so accommodating and helpful!!

Very nice hotel. Super convenient with all the restaurants and a Starbucks on site. I loved the swim up bar at the pool. The only thing I noticed was that there wasn’t party music at the adult pool that you could hear. They had a DJ that was far away and the bar had the music set very low. When people go on vacation they want to hear music. The front desk was good. They give you unlimited bottled waters. I just didn’t like that we had to wait in a long line for people to check in to get the water. I feel like they should just have a desk to get the water without having to wait. The cafe inside had ice cream and pastries. The Rustica restaurant was amazing! So good! Overall, we had a wonderful time.

The resort is very nice and accommodating. The pool was great, appears a little cold a first, but the water adjusts to the temperature, and that's fine.

What ever the issue was, the manager worked it out. No complaints at all.

Today around 5:00 PM, my son went to the front desk (NAILA)to let them know one of the laundry machines had taken my money and I needed assistance because I had an appointment to get to soon. I then went to the front desk myself and stood in line before another guest arrived. Despite that, the front desk employee chose to help the guest (airline pilot) who came after me and made it clear that my time standing there wasn’t a priority. I felt completely dismissed and disrespected as a paying guest. Customer service should treat every guest with the same level of respect. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place. Meanwhile, my second washing machine had already finished and had been sitting for only 14 minutes while I was still waiting for someone to help me with the machine that took my money. I ended up waiting well over 15 minutes for assistance with no urgency from the staff.

Me gustó mucho mi desayuno y me hubiese gustado quedarme una semana. Vi una situación bien desagradable dentro de la piscina donde esta la barra qué me horroroso pues hay muchos niños y nadie dijo nada. Por lo general todo bien.

I was actually at this hotel in July 2025. It was very nice esthetically. However, I had a huge problem with other guests noise level. The staff was fully aware but did nothing about it. I arrived a day or two before the noisy guests (kids) who occupied two rooms that surrounded my room. I felt they should have been moved to the floor that there parents were on. Because not only were they yelling loud and using profanity. They were also banging on my door as well as banging on each other's doors which was extremely frustrating. Another frustrating factor was the Uber drivers weren't allowed to pick you up at the door. We had to walk down the sidewalk to the corner/curb for pickup

We were having a nice time here - loved the location and pools and beach access. That is until I decided I was carrying too much cash on me, so I put $400 in the safe in our room and it was stolen while we were gone. They basically told us it was our fault and that they interviewed the staff and they did nothing wrong. We were obviously upset, but tried to enjoy our last couple days - we had back to back days of excursions because the concierge screwed up our bookings - minor inconvenience, so we let it go. When we got back from our 2nd day, someone had STILL gone into our room and given us fresh towels even though we had our do not disturb sign on the door due to our money already being stolen. I feel so violated and will not stay here again.

Achei o hotel muito lotado, não havia cadeiras disponíveis na piscina, serviço do bar e restaurante é lento, em muitas ocasiões não havia nenhum garçom para nos atender, e outras vezes o garçom não quis retirar o pedido pois disse que demoraria mais de 1h para ficar pronto. Restaurantes dentro do hotel tem preços caros. Localização não é tão boa, é preciso pegar Uber para encontrar restaurantes bons. Os restaurantes ao redor (para ir a pé) são bem ruins.

We had a very disappointing experience at the hotel. We wanted to watch the World Cup match between Brazil and Norway, but the bar manager refused to turn on the game's audio, leaving only the video on the screens. He told us it was hotel policy to keep the music playing instead. We were especially disappointed because the day before, the hotel had allowed the audio to be played for the Paraguay vs. France match. As Brazilian guests, this inconsistency made us feel that we were treated differently, which gave us the impression of possible bias. In addition, the hotel was extremely crowded, and there were not enough chairs available at the pool for guests. The service at the pool was also disappointing. One of the waiters was not polite, refused to take our order, and told us that it would take more than one hour for the food to be served.

An historic Hilton property, the Caribe Hilton has undergone many ups and downs over its 70+ years. It is currently trending downward, I'm afraid. My wife and I, along with other members of the family, stayed thwre four nights in early July and got to experience the good and the bad. First the good: wonderful pool snd beach access, great views of the beachfront Condado area from the grounds and from many of its rooms. Welcoming staff at the check-in counter, wonderful breakfast buffet, OK restaurant fare at Rustica/Lola restaurants (two in one--Itala and Puerto Rican menus), comfortable rooms, at least in the Garden Wing, very accessible to Old San Juan and Condado. Now the bad: the property evidently suffers from deferred maintenance of its public spaces and many rooms are full of bothersome defects (our bathroom door wouldn't close, the safety box wouldn't work until we brought it to management's athention, the shower valve was shot in one of our party's rooms, etc.); some areas of the hotel need new paint, the entrance landscape needs renovating, and over several days we saw not a single worker cleaning the high-use areas, like the expansive lobby. The food served in some of the dining venues is not of the highest quality (fish tacos at the main bar were frankly inedible). Still, with all its faults, the Caribe Hilton has its charm. We know there are higher-quality hotels in San Juan, some with better values, but we would still consider coming back, if for no other reason than its outside amenities are unmatched in the city, and frankly in all of Puerto Rico. I hope the management is not resting on its laurels and pays attention to the myriad maintenance, cleaning, and quality problems that exist.

Had a wonderful anniversary stay at the Caribe Hilton Hotel. The front desk specialist, Leolani was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The prompt and smooth check-in got us off to a great start and things got better by the day. Great accommodations, great food, awesome grounds, fantastic vibes. Love this place!

Close to old San Juan and has a small private beach. The room was underwhelming and the shower didn't work very well, but the staff was very nice. Self parking was somewhat stressful.

We stayed 2 nights in mid June. Arrived around midnight and our first room had a balcony that wouldn’t open and phone that didn’t work. They offered to move us to a different room which we did for the second night. It had a beautiful view and the balcony door opened and the phone worked. The major problem with our stay was that we were unable to trust the cleaning staff. My daughter had packed 3 dresses for the trip and left the tags on one of her 3 dresses. She set it out and planned to wear it to dinner that night but when we got back to the room the dress was gone. I really couldn’t believe it because I have never had my clothes stolen at a hotel before. We told them the value of this particular dress and they supposedly did an investigation but were told the dress wasn’t found. No compensation was offered for the missing dress. My daughter was so upset. We will not stay at this hotel again and if you do stay here don’t leave tags on your clothes and lock your valuables in the safe.

The hotel is right on the beach. The pool area is large, and has hammocks, a pier and a hot tub. There is a nice walk around the beach area. The rooms are large and many have a great view. The bathrooms are large. There is a refrigerator in the room. The bar area has good cocktails, and small bites. There are several shops in the hotel.

Todo el personal muy atento, el lugar limpio. Un poco lejos del front desk a pesar de que estaba con mi mamá que es impedida. No vi que la piscina tuviera alguna entrada para el sillón de ruedas pero a pesar de eso, disfrutamos demasiado.

No vimos entrada para personas con impedimento en la piscina, ni alguna rampa para llegar a la playa.

We had an amazing time, especially at the pool bar where bartender, Hiram Avila, really took care of us. He even cuts shapes in our garnishes, stars, hearts, really took the time to give us a hospitable experience. Amazing place with an amazing private pool, private beach, and great room. Even gave us an upgrade for my birthday! Loved it!!

My room had such a strong musty smell that we almost left. Room 337. I decided to stay because it was only for one night; otherwise, I would have left. I don't know if all the rooms are the same, but they desperately need remodeling. It's not cheap to stay there for that kind of room. Everything else was fine.

My experience at this hotel has been completely unacceptable. During my stay, hotel staff entered my room on multiple occasions despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed. This is a serious violation of guest privacy and completely undermines the trust that any hotel should provide. Even more concerning, a personal chain necklace went missing from my room during my stay. I cannot recommend a property where situations like this occur and where guests cannot feel confident about the safety of their belongings. When booking a hotel, people expect cleanliness, rest, privacy, and security. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite: repeated intrusions into my room, constant concern about my belongings, and an overall feeling of insecurity. If you value your privacy and the security of your personal items, I strongly suggest thinking twice before staying here. ES Mi experiencia en este hotel ha sido completamente inaceptable. Lo más preocupante es que, durante mi estancia, desapareció una cadenilla de mi propiedad que se encontraba dentro de la habitación. No puedo recomendar un establecimiento donde ocurren este tipo de situaciones y donde uno no puede sentirse seguro dejando sus pertenencias en la habitación. Cuando uno reserva un hotel, espera limpieza, descanso y seguridad. En mi caso, encontré exactamente lo contrario: invasiones de privacidad, preocupación constante por mis pertenencias y una sensación permanente de inseguridad. Si valoras tu privacidad y la seguridad de tus objetos personales, te recomiendo pensarlo dos veces antes de reservar aquí.

We Totally Enjoyed This Resort! Pedro Vidal At the Desk Qiuckly Resolved an issue with our room! Bring Snorkel Equipment to Really Take Advantage of Their Own Protected Lagoon that Is Filled With Tropical fish! Make Sure To Walk just next door to the property to see the Public Parks Waterfront Beauty, Rock and Reef Formations etc. This Resort had the Absolute Best Set up to Enjoy Both the Beach, Water, Scenery and Pools at any Resort I've Been To!

The hotel need to be updated and cleaned. the furniture is dated and worn, paint chipping, holes in wall, refrigerator area molded and show signs of water damage, shower dirty and needs re-caulking, common are furniture torn and dirty, carpet needs cleaning. View of property from balcony is gross, the garden area needs to be cleaned. Towels hard, old and worn. Hotel staff GREAT! Especially in the pool area. Hotel is in a great area in terms of beach access. Lots of stray cats on property! Not a good look for Hilton!

Had a great week there! Hirman at the pool bar is the best! Alexandria from the Resturant/inside bar was also great and very friendly! Will be back!

A mid-class hotel with amenities that pay for with resort fees. The rooms are dated and you will need to pay for parking - either valet or self-park. The good news is that the pools on property are kept clean the the beach is nice. There are plenty of chairs for everyone and the kids had a good time. The scuba diving on site isn't good, but the snorkeling within the hilton man-made area is nice. The bad news is that I don't think it was a good value, eating on resort is $$$ and the rooms need an update. I wouldn't take my family back to the resort.

Water was turned off for a day, also we lost all hot water so had to change rooms.

Hiram Avila at the poolside drink and food kiosk is the best! His service was amazing, and the pina coladas (alcohol free) for my daughter were the finest on the island.

Lovely facility, great restaurants located on site. One downfall is guests who save pool and beach chairs with hotel towels, and no indication they are actually using them (personal items also there). Would love to see staff walk through frequently removing towels with no additional personal items, freeing up space for newly arriving beach/pool visitors.

Our overall experience was deeply disappointing. While a few staff members were genuinely pleasant and welcoming, the inconsistency in service was impossible to ignore. Several employees came across as outright rude—especially when making simple requests like asking for water or ice. Given the intense heat outside, you would expect at least basic hospitality, but instead we were met with attitude and reluctance. To make matters worse, it felt like we were being charged for everything. Even something as simple as having our bags watched for a short time while doing final shopping before departure came with an added cost. That kind of nickel-and-diming really takes away from what should be a relaxing, premium experience. The bar service was equally hit-or-miss. While a handful of bartenders were friendly and attentive, others wouldn’t even acknowledge us, which is frustrating when you’re standing there waiting to be served. That lack of consistency in customer care was a recurring theme throughout our stay. The hotel itself was just okay—nothing exceptional to justify the high prices. At one point, we even lost water service in the hotel for several hours, which is completely unacceptable for a property of this level. Dining on-site was another letdown. The food was overpriced and underwhelming, to the point where we chose to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere. Ironically, those off-property experiences were far better, with friendlier people and more satisfying meals. Even the breakfast experience felt misleading. What was advertised as a continental breakfast came with additional charges—$25 just for an omelet upgrade—which felt excessive and frustrating. While Puerto Rico is undeniably beautiful, our stay at this hotel fell far short of expectations. We weren’t the only ones who felt this way either—many guests voiced similar frustrations about the pricing and poor customer service. Unfortunately, despite the stunning location, this experience has ensured that we will not be returning.

I had an amazing stay at the Caribe Hilton and can honestly say it was my best stay in San Juan ever. From the moment I arrived, every staff member I encountered was kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. A special shout-out to my housekeeper, Sondra M., who kept my room spotless and well-stocked throughout my stay. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor really added to the comfort of my visit. I stayed in the Wave Tower and loved waking up each morning to a beautiful view of the ocean and historic Fort Gerónimo right from my room. It was the perfect backdrop for coffee on the balcony and relaxing downtime. On the grounds, I especially enjoyed the peaceful tropical gardens and quiet time on the beach. The property offers plenty of spots to unwind, read, or just listen to the waves, which made the resort feel like a calm oasis. I also want to highlight the Cookies and Ice Cream shop, which felt like a hidden gem on the property. They have great sandwiches and coffee in addition to their delicious ice cream, and it quickly became one of my favorite places to grab a bite. I highly recommend Caribe Hilton and look forward to returning on my next trip to San Juan. ***

This trip was a girls trip to celebrate some significant birthdays. The first impression of this hotel was that it was beautiful. Right on the water, open-air lobby, kind staff, just a lovely place. Then we got to our room. A lot of peeling paint, baseboards with chunks out of them, and the carpet was not good at all. The front desk made it right and moved us to another room with a King bed and a pull-out. It was fine, but for the prices it was just manageable. The pools are great, the private beach area was so nice with lots of little areas to relax. The pool bar was the place to be though! Ricardo was fantastic, a true asset to the hotel and the Hilton brand. He gave us a ton of suggestions of places to see and things to do. He was really a standout for our trip. This hotel has a crazy amount of potential, however, until they meet that potential, they really need to price their rooms accordingly.

The location is very convenient. I loved staying here. The only problem was the noise level, but everyone was very kind and had a 10/10 service level. I was welcomed by Kamil who was super kind and sent us a bell man, David who was also very kind. Our best experience was at the pool bar that was a 5/5 stars ⭐️ with Hiram Avila. He was kind, gave us great recommendations, was so sweet and made us want to stay at the pool bar for hours. He is definitely the best bar tender service I’ve experience. My husband and I were so happy. Muchísimas gracias Hiram 🇵🇷 ¡Que viva Puerto Rico!

There are some things the hotel gets right. The pool and beach area are truly lovely as is the lush garden with a pond and water feature. The hotel was clean and well tended, cleaning and grounds staff clearly do an excellent job. The reception staff were very professional and good communicators. The 24 hour cafe had delicious smoothies. The rest was average or below average. The room I stayed on the 1st floor of garden wing had walls so thin I could hear the people in the next door room clearly. That area of the Garden wing was clean but dingy which is a shame because the gardens are right outside your door. Lastly, Ocean restaurant is overpriced had average food and had very poor service. I didn't have breakfast or eat at any of the other restaurant at the hotel choosing to eat in Old San Juan instead. I wouldn’t stay again the value for amount spent just isn’t there.

Once a premier hotel in SanJuan is now dated and worn with poor service. Rooms have broken tiles, bathrooms with stains and chips and no USB ports only outlets and not enough for contemporary needs. The room rates vary depending on hotel occupancy and caters to large conference groups who get a locked in discounted room rate, and then the hotel passes on those costs to individual guests. We stayed in the same room for six nights: Thursday $441; Friday 527; Saturday $549; Sunday $565; Monday $771; Tuesday $750. Their response to any inquiries about this is simply to reiterate their policy rather than respond to guest needs. They blame you for not reading the policy and assuming the rate would be the same once booked. It is all about the hotel and not you as the guest. Beware. Breakfast is the same every day. Not much else in the area so you have to go off the resort for dining as it is limited. Service varies although our cleaning lady was excellent and one waiter at the restaurant. Know that there are other much better hotels in San Juan without this kind of variance and for less money that are far better. I had stayed in the hotel about 10 years ago for a conference which is why I thought it would be a good place for my team and I to stay as we scouted hotels for a planned 2027 conference. This hotel is the bottom of the list of four that we saw.

This was our first time here and everyone was excellent it’s everything you’d expect from a Hilton location But we have to give an extra Shout out to IVAN y the beach and poolside ,he made sure we were comfortable and was very attentive making sure we were hydrated,he truly was a great person to have there when you needed someone ,every Hilton shield have an Ivan he definitely is a great asset to the Hilton thank you again Ivan we will definitely be back and look for you ,you made our stay very memorable

Hotel room was very run down and dirty. There was visible dust everywhere and mold in the tub. TV was broken for the first 2 nights. We were told we would have a 100$ a night credit for those 2 nights. I’ve yet to get that and I’ve called and messaged multiple times. It was SO loud at night, we did not sleep for 7 days. There was some type of construction maybe or repairs happening and I guess they thought it was a good idea to work on them overnight? We were woken up all night to very loud banging sounds. There was a rusty open vent in the balcony which was gross and dangerous and our beach view the booking listed, well see the pics...ocean is beautiful but the roof is not and should have been listed as partial view not beach view. Oh and forget using the restroom in private, the door doesn’t close all the way. Food is way overpriced. Beach is nice and private. Staff were all nice. But the room was awful we had and the noise was even worse.
