Quiet location near a lovely park and train lines. I also really loved the vegan dinner in the restaurant the first night I was here - a beautiful meal - well done!

Great location in the heart of Shiba Park the Shiba Park Hotel is a gem! The room was spacious and comfortable (we had a Junior Suite) and whisper quiet. The hotel has an amazing ‘book theme’ where each floor is dedicated to a different genre (architecture, music, design etc) and has its own mini library on that floor. The lobby has its own lending library as well as 24/7 coffee machines. There is a train station a short 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Bed was a little hard but otherwise loved everything

We stayed in a small family room with a double and a bunk bed, all extremely comfortable! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the snacks and coffees in the lobby. This was an ideal first stop for our two week Japan trip, suberb location - we walked to Tokyo Tower on our first night, the area felt very safe.

The location was pretty good, right between two transit lines, one being the Mita Line and the other the Asakusa Line. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly, greeting us every time we left and re-entered the hotel.

Every thing was perfect, very helpful and welcoming staff from the beginning to end. The room was very clean and at high standards

Best hotel i stayed from al my trip to Japan, so far from our arrival to our leaving they took care of the request asked and those resolved questionn and help us to do the proper transfer . they help us with all luggage and help us to trasnportate and wlak wit us to the station but the service was beyond my expaction . Real high end service, make you feel at home and I like that Amazing breakast, excellent location and excellents bed

Sono stata in questo hotel nel mio primo viaggio in Giappone 10 anni fa, ho deciso di ritornarci e non sono stata delusa. Ottima posizione a due passi dalla Tokyo tower, personale cordiale e molto attento, colazione molto buona e struttura e stanza molto pulite.

Das Hotel liegt zentral. aber sehr ruhig, man kann sogar Nachts das Fenster öffnen, wenn man will. Die Einrichtung in den Zimmern/Bad mit viel PVC ist Geschmacksache, aber alles sehr sauber. Der große Pluspunkt: Das Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Im Hotel auch gutes Restaurant.

Klimaanlage ziemlich kalt im Restaurant eingestellt, etwas zugig. Bei direkter Buchung teurer als über booking.com.

I extended one-day and paid the fee they provided, however an hour later i received a call and asked me to come down to lobby so they could charge an extra $18 as staff made an error. You would think they couldve waved that fee

In a special place, very central in Minato -Ku,a historical Hotel ,I think one of the best from Tokyo.It was an amazing experience,we spent a quality time,personal very kindly, very carrefully,restaurant have a very best food,foyer with books it was for us extraordinary.Congrats!Domo arigato gozaimasu!Saionara!

J’ai aimé le personnel qui était agréable, gentil, et souriant. L’établissement est bien situé près des gares.

Seul désavantage qui est pas mentionné et qui je trouve fait beaucoup est qu’ils sont écologique alors j’ai pas de problème avec ça mais la sécurité n’est pas garanti dans l’hôtel car n’importe qui peut rentrer dans l’hôtel et dans le couloirs des chambres. Ensuite, ils nettoient tous les 2 jours je trouve que c’est pas très correct vue le prix qu’on a payé et en plus c’est pas forcément toujours aussi propre.

Only 2 washers and 1 were broken making doing laundry in the hotel very difficult.

Very small bathroom, the shower rail hung over the sink and being 6 foot tall we both hit our heads on it repeatedly, and the toilet was right next to the sink. No place to hang towels it was so small.

The hotel itself was great.

Close to gardens and tower on 1 side and close to shops and restaurants on the other. Also 2 metro stations close by. The book nooks on each floor were cute.

Personal freundlich, höflich. Lage sehr gut. Gutes Frühstück. Gute Betten. Wir haben uns im Shiba Park Hotel wohl gefühlt obwohl das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Schöne Lobby unten und im ersten Stock.

Die Standard Zimmer waren nicht schön. Es roh muffig, der Teppichboden war alt , die Wände voller Schrammen. Wir haben nach einem Upgrade gefragt und das zweite Zimmer war viel besser .

外国人には絶対好評なんだと想像しますが、夏祭り期間だった事もあり、ハッピがなんとなく、違和感でした。

The rooms are on the smaller side (21sqm / 226sq ft), which is worth knowing ahead of time, but they were clean and comfortable, and the beds were great. As an eco-friendly hotel, housekeeping only cleans every other day - a nice touch for anyone conscious about sustainability, and the rooms still felt well maintained throughout our stay. The location is very convenient, just close to the train station and many convenience stores. What really made this stay memorable was the service. My mom had an incident while we were out on a tour, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of afterward - it meant a lot to us. A couple of staff members deserve a special mention. Mr. Kosaka was wonderful - he helped us with everything from the restaurant to the lobby to our luggage, always with a smile (and his hair was always perfect too!). Mr. Makoto at breakfast stood out for his attentiveness - he was incredibly polite, anticipated our needs before we even asked, and even made the effort to learn a few Spanish phrases to connect with us. It’s these small, genuine gestures that really elevate a stay, and his warmth and professionalism made breakfast one of the highlights of our mornings. Mr. Makoto was very professional and attentive. Breakfast itself offered a good mix of Western and Japanese dishes, good quality throughout, though it did get a little repetitive by the end of 6 nights. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is classic yet elegant, and everything felt spotless throughout our stay. Overall, a great stay with truly outstanding service. Highly recommend!

Clean and the interior design is beautiful!

Factory like staff and breakfast can be improved. The breakfast areas brings food in small portions at a time and guests are almost dashing for the last few, then they refill but in small portions and you have to queue constantly.

Unique and quirky hotel, beautifully maintained

We stayed in August 2026, a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 10-year olds). We booked 2 triple rooms with breakfast. The rooms were average size but there was room for opening our luggage. There were 3 beds that were all very comfortable and spacious with new linen and sleepware. The cosmetics and amenities (coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer) were also excellent. We had breakfast at the hotel as well that was a combination of western and japanese food and it was indeed very good, with a big variety and excellent fresh fruit among other things. The location is near the Tokyo Tower and a 25 minute walk to Ginza which for us was ideal. There are 2 train stations just a 5-minute walk that connect the area easily to the main sites of Tokyo. There is a family mart just a few metres away and the hotel is tucked in a quiet street. The library aspect of the hotel is amazing and we did take the opportunity to browse through the vast number of books, that were also available on all floors. There is a washer drier room as well that can be very useful and you get unlimited juice, coffee and tea along with nuts and dried fruit at all times at the reception. Staff were excellent, we were able upon check-out to leave our luggage at the hotel until the afternoon when we had to go to the airport. Overall, i would definitely stay here again.

Staff was exceptionally professional and kind. Location is excellent and it was spotless clean. We loved the amenities and free snacks/drinks in the lobby. Though the room is small — it’s Tokyo — it was comfortable. Highly recommend!

Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist schön ausgestattet, schöne Büchersammlung, gemütliche Lounge mit gratis Getränken. Geschmackvoller Empfangs-&Aufenthaltsbereich.

Das Zimmer war recht beengt, es gab wenig Stauraum für Kleider und Koffer. Die gesamte Zimmerausstattung wirkte abgenutzt, der Teppichboden alt. Das Badezimmer ebenso, und vor allem hatten wir nach einem Bad eine Überschwemmung, im ganzen Badezimmer stand das Wasser (defekter oder verstopfter Abfluss?). Konnte spätabends auch nicht mehr behoben werden, deswegen haben wir selbst mit zusätzlichen Handtüchern sauber gemacht. Ein Umzug, der uns angeboten wurde, war uns zu stressig so spät am Abend.

Stayed at Shiba Park Hotel in June this year. I can honestly see how this hotel frequently ranks so high. It was definitely the cheapest amongst all the places we researched and I wondered if there was a reason for this. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great selection of toiletries too. Breakfast was also amazing as well as the snacks and hot drinks available at no extra cost in the reception. The hotel even securely held our luggage when we went off to South Korea for a couple of days. All in all, it was a top pick and given the chance I would go back in a heartbeat. 8 minute walk to one of the larger metro stations with easy and cheap transport to Haneda and Narita Airports.

Nothing to dislike as hotel was perfect.

Das Hotel wirbt mit Fotos, die besser sind als die Realität. Die Begrüßung und der Empfang sind nett und hilfsbereit. Dann hört es aber auf. Das Hotel ist die Jahre gekommen. Mann muss aufpassen, dass man nicht über kaputte Teppiche stolpert. Die Reinigung des Zimmers ist halbherzig. Tücher werden nicht aufgefüllt. Schubladen werden offen gelassen, Tee fehlt.. . Usw. Das die Reinigung nicht täglich ist, ist Eco. Frühstück ist für japanische Verhältnisse gut. Aber jeder Tag eine Woche lang das gleiche. Ich habe nicht verstanden, warum Saft an der Rezeption nur zu bestimmten Zeiten angeboten wird. Am Abend, wenn man ins Hotel gekommen ist, war es nie da. Andere Hotels in Japan sind da besser und bieten unterschiedliche Getränke rund um die Uhr an. Insgesamt eher enttäuscht. Die Zimmer haben eher Jugengherberge-Atmosphäre. Harte Betten und im Zimmer für 3 Erwachsene nur ein Mini-Kinder-Sessel. Wir waren schon in vielen Hotels in Japan und im Vergleich war es sehr teuer und den Preis nicht wert.

No closet or shelves at all. The bathroom is tiny and has no window, so there are issues with ventilation, especially if cleaning is every 2 days—first 3 days: no cleaning at all.

We liked the breakfast and the cleanliness of the hotel.

It was a bit farther location-wise to the sights we were going to so did require a bit more planning and time.

The Shiba Park Hotel is a book lover’s dream. The whole hotel is library-themed, and if you fill out the pre-arrival survey, you receive a complimentary beverage of your choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to enjoy in the library lounge. I really liked the audio tour that described the history and design of the hotel, and I would have loved to try some of the other immersive activities as well — like the kintsugi workshop, the traditional tea ceremony, or the local walking tour — but we ran out of time. I guess now I have an excuse to go back!

Great hotel, good access to metro lines as far as location goes. 5 to 10 minute walking distance from Tokyo tower. Amenities such as room cleaning and breakfast are great. Free umbrella on rainy days, free drinks and nuts at the lobby every day and restocked frequently. Good free wifi as well as a watercooler to fill your bottles. Very polite and helpful hotel staff. Rooms have plenty space.

I really liked the decor and design of the hotel. It is located next to multiple metro stations within a 10 minute walk. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff are very kind. As a solo traveller felt welcomed.
