Very worn and dated. Bathroom had cracked floor tiles and shower had cracked and broken tiles and shower did not work.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and everything was good. The only disappointment was that the room was advertised as having a minibar, but there was no minibar in the room. However, the staff handled it well and gave us two complimentary vouchers for a beer or a glass of wine, which was a nice gesture. Apart from that, we were happy with our stay.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were very tired looking (although it does look as if they are about to be upgraded) Shower was powerful but had to climb into bath as was over the bath. Sockets - only one single socket next to one of the twin beds which had the desk lamp plugged in. So only one person could charge phone at a time but couldn’t have the bedside lamp on. Then one single socket which had the main lamp plugged into. If you wanted to use the kettle then you had to unplug the lamp (no ceiling light in bedroom so was then in the dark!) Had to use same single socket for hairdryer so no light on to dry hair! Was a pain!! Could easily be solved by putting in some double sockets or even some adapters.

The location was perfect, close to transport and local amenities.

The constant fragrance in the lobby and bar area was awful. So strong that having a drink in the bar was not an option. Rooms are very tired and we weirdly had an office chair for one of the two chairs in our club room

Ease of access to where we wanted to be. Car parking was straightforward and directly on the hotel site, which isn’t always the case at hotels. Clean, tidy and comfortable rooms. Welcoming reception area. Staff were friendly, even when some guests were rude to them. Great view of the quayside from the room. We will definitely be back when all the renovations are completed, as it will be even better.

Our room was very dated and probably not worth the price we paid for it. Very tired and dated bathroom and furniture. I booked a family room for 3. The room had the third bed made up on arrival, but it would have been nice to have a third mug and enough tea/coffee/milk for the third guest. It wasn’t a problem though, as we just asked at reception and it was sorted immediately. Nothing was too much trouble.

Good price and reasonable location - tram from Piccadilly Station to Salford Quays around 20mins, so it's okay for nipping in and out of the city centre. Handy for Old Trafford if going a game there, equally, can hop on tram straight to Etihad from just outside the hotel. Salford Quays nice area for a stroll, there are a few bars/restaurants around the Lowry theatre, so location is fine. Nice restaurant for breakfast overlooking the water, plenty of breakfast choices and room is spacious with all needed for a short stay.

The Copthorne could definitely do with some investment in the bathrooms in particular. They are clean but a bit dated in terms of decor. However it's balanced by it often being reasonably priced - you get what you pay for and it has the benefit of matching city centre budget hotels that are infinitely more noisy and not as clean and comfortable. I have stayed a few times and never been disappointed so the decor is a fairly mute point for me - but if you're looking for a luxury toilet/bathroom then it's not in that league.

Room 440 was very noisy next to a service room and a stairway where lots of furniture was dragged around early every morning. It was above industrial bins which were emptied at 7am!! Very noisy. The fire alarm went off at 2.40am we lnow not why but it woke up the whole hotel!

There are tram stations nearby and parking included. Quick check-in and staff was welcoming.

Our room was flooded when we came back at night. We left the window open thinking it is safe but obviously not. My bags were wet. We reported to the staff and they provided us towels and we had to ask a late check-out because of this inconvenience and they offered as an hour late. I have taken videos and photos. When we checked out they apologised to us. They could have moved us rooms but no.

Hotel needs updating as very old in areas but wasn’t a problem.

We arrived at around 4.30pm to find a rather long queue, however this wasnt much of a problem as we just went to the bar for a drink until the queue went down. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with very pleasant staff. The view of the quay was beautiful. The restaurant served lovely fresh food and was very reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and can highly recommend it.

Only one pillow

Room was of a good standard, with interesting views across the quay. Breakfast had a good selection of items.

Maintenance of the room wasn't great, particularly in the bathroom which was a bit tired. The toilet seat had been replaced with a very cheap, flimsy plastic one, and the sink and bath plugs had been replaced with very cheap rubber bungs. There was no light above the sink, which had clearly been removed but not replaced and the cold tap in the bath barely worked.

Hotel staat op een mooie lokatie. Aan de Quays vlak bij Old Traffort Stadion. Gratis parkeren voor de deur. Lekkere ruime kamer hadden we met mooi uitzicht over het water. Kamer was prima. Badkamer is wat gedateerd maar wel schoon. En prima douche. 2 goede Italiaanse restaurants vlakbij en ca. 100mtr tegenover hotel stap je op de tram ( blue line) In 5 haltes en 2,80 pond ben je in het centrum van Manchester. Werkt perfect. Ontbijt was prima verzorgd. Zeer vriendelijk personeel

Hotel is shabby, needs a face-lift desperately. The rooms are very dated, no air-conditioning and the windows do not have blinds or net curtains to stop people seeing inside

The bed was comfortable which is always a plus, I like the fact that there are two plug sockets on each side of the bed for charging phones. TV for a hotel was a good size. The bar has a great selection of drinks and the location is just across from the Exchange Quays Tram stop which made getting around Manchester really easy.

Bathroom was slightly dated. The shower was a bit hard to use. Whenever I turned the dial, even when it was set to cold it was boiling hot! Bar did not have Sky Sports.

We stayed in this particular hotel as went to football match and the Copthorne is a short walk away from the Stadium. The room was good, good views,, clean and comfy bed. Lovely staff too. I had told the hotel staff it was my hubbies birthday and they acknowledged that and put a decorated browni on a white rectangular plate and piped on to plate in chocolate happy birthday 🎂 it was a lovely surprise, so kind and lovely of them.

I was kept awake all night by constant banging in the room there was works being carried out by contractors the skip was being filled in morning which caused a massive disturbance to my sleep. The shower had no clear instructions as to how to adjust the temperature I was scalded by the hot water I then had to call the receptionist to send the maintenance team to show me and adjust the temperature due to this incident I was made late to my arranged meetings

The system in the hotel could not find my two rooms and said I hadn’t paid for breakfast when I paid before I got there (not on Booking.com) which they found eventually. I had to be moved to a different room as the hinge at the top of the front door was falling off and dangerous. The room the sent me to had no doors on the wardrobes and no draws in the bedside tables, the tap in the bathroom came of in my hand.

All good for what we paid . On the web site it still advertises two and three course meals at a special rate . When we asked in the restaurant the staff sid that’s over two years ago , so maybe an edit on this .

Lovely room with views of the quay. Easy walking location to the metro and everything the Quays and Media City has to offer. Staff were very friendly and it looks like the facilities were great, we just had one night to see friends so didn’t use much other than our room.

Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect for a nearby gig we attended, check-in was seamless and quick, the bar and restaurant were lovely, the staff we encountered were attentive and friendly, the room itself was a good size and clean with lovely big windows, breakfast the next morning was delicious. 10/10, i would highly recommend and return if we are in that area of Manchester again.

Everything was fine apart from parking as we was struggling to find parking and not many spaces for disabled badge holders and we was struggling to park as the car park was full in one of the days.

Normal fridge need to be place please because we have a baby so the milk wasn’t cool enough in the cooler. The cooler was mainly for drinks and it was difficult. We would recommend you to get an air con for the heatwave. Air conditioning please.

A quay overlooking room made the whole difference as one side of the hotel is facing large, busy road. The room was a standard size, clean with good views over the quay waters. Very peaceful, Good sleep. Could do with an air con as it faces south. Good entertainment system with Internet connectivity. Loads your Name etc though-don't know how they manage your privacy via the apps . / channels used? Staff very helpful and polite.

It was one of the hottest and the hotel does not have air con. They supplied a fan which was not sufficient and made our stay unbearable.

The breakfast was very good; a buffet at the weekend and made to order on weekdays. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was lovely. The car parking was free. The team stop was very close.

The room faced the main road so was more noisy than expected. We had to open the windows for ventilation as there was no Aircon. The TV kept freezing (on all channels). There were insufficient plugs sockets in the room and one did not work.

Good choice although the cooked could have hotter.

The room was slightly shabby with the odd cobweb. The lighting was extremely poor.

Didn't have breakfast. Place is a little 'jaded' but I understand it may be getting improved, not sure. Bit costly but I guess that was because it was a wknd & not during the week. Only stayed 1 night, would have been better if I could have stayed longer to give a better review.
