Everything in this hotel was phenomenal. Best customer experience I have ever had. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, every single staff member was just absolutely amazing, so attentive and accommodating. The rooms were outstanding and the pools were great.

Exquisite stay!!!!! We booked suite with huge outdoor sitting and private pool with view over the poolside. Love everything about this hotel from the amenities, service and definitely coming back!

William, Nico, and Clay did an amazing job taking care of me and my little dog at the beach! They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable with our chair and umbrella. They went above and beyond to make our beach day relaxing and enjoyable. Great service from all three of them — definitely recommend!

I’d wanted to stay here for a while, but wouldn’t return again. We had a bungalow suite for 8 nights, which retailed at over $30,000. We got a good deal, and I’m glad we did, as the room’s main feature is its own pool on the balcony. It was disgusting - unclean, leaking, not filtering. The hotel was plagued with pigeons - literally bird mess everywhere on the balcony - to the point we couldn’t walk out without calling down to have it cleaned. We requested it to be cleaned each morning, rather than us having to phone each morning. It didn’t happen once. In the room next door they allowed a party to happen twice - two nights in a row - on their balcony. Just totally inadequate staff and care.

The Miami Beach Edition has long been one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the world and in hometown nonetheless!!! The property remains visually stunning, the rooms are immaculate, and several teams-including bell staff, housekeeping, spa front desk, and spa technicians-continue to deliver truly exceptional service. That said, during my recent stay, I noticed a decline in several areas that matter at a luxury property charging premium rates, a $75 resort fee, and $80 nightly valet. Smoking on property was the most surprising issue. Guests were openly smoking cigarettes at the pool, on the Matador Bar terrace, and even at the chairs directly beside the front entrance. The smell of an ashtray frequently drifted through shared spaces, at times making the area feel more like a Days Inn. than a flagship Marriott luxury property. I've always understood Marriott hotels to be non-smoking-including outdoor public areas—so this was both unexpected and disappointing. Food quality at Tropicale pool bar also fell short. For the prices charged, the dishes were not at the level expected from a brand that is aligned with Ritz-Carlton standards. Pool staffing appeared insufficient as well. Used towels piled up around us one day as the staff walked by without picking them up. Trash also accumulated around our seating area for long stretches, and without visible garbage cans, guests had no way to dispose of items themselves. If staffing levels can't support timely clearing, providing accessible waste bins would be a simple fix. Valet service was consistently slow, with waits of around 15 minutes each time we requested our car. Despite these issues, the Edition's design, ambiance, and many of its employees remain world-class. I still consider it a special property, but at these price points, the inconsistencies are hard to ignore. The hotel is too good-and too expensive-to let standards slip. I hope management addresses these concerns so the Edition can continue to be the exceptional experience it once was.

We had an amazing experience at the beach thanks to Julian and Omar! They took great care of our family, setting us up with two chairs and an umbrella and making sure we were comfortable throughout the day. Traveling with a small child can be challenging, but they were incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their professionalism and genuine kindness made our beach day relaxing and stress-free. Julian and Omar went above and beyond with excellent customer service, and their positive attitudes really stood out. We truly appreciated everything they did and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great beach experience. Thank you both for making our day so enjoyable!

My stay at The Edition was incredibly disappointing, primarily due to the lack of communication and poor customer service. Since checkout, there have been multiple discrepancies regarding the final charges for our room. My credit card initially had a hold placed on it, but even now I’m still unable to determine what my actual final charge is. Instead, I’ve seen three separate charges related to our room, with no clear explanation of what each charge represents. To make matters worse, when I called the billing department for clarification, the representative hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. I have yet to receive a callback or successfully get in touch with anyone who can resolve the issue. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and this was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Billing issues can happen, but the complete lack of communication, transparency, and follow-up is unacceptable. I expected much better from a luxury hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The overall atmosphere was relaxing, and I truly enjoyed my time here. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

An absolutely outstanding experience at The EDITION Miami. The hotel is stunning, the rooms are beautifully designed, the food is exceptional, and every detail feels effortlessly luxurious. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible service. A special thank you to Fremio Santiago for his warmth, professionalism, and genuine care throughout our stay. Also, compliments to General Manager Mr. Christopher Kapatais for leading such an exceptional team. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every interaction. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!

The hotel location is 5 mins away from the hustle and bustle so the noise isn't to loud, its right on the beach with a great running or walking path to keep you in shape

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience I feel obligated to share what happened. My wife and I stayed at The Miami Beach Edition for four nights in an upgraded room costing over $5,600 because we expected the level of luxury and service associated with the Marriott brand. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. From the moment we checked in, our room was extremely hot. We immediately reported the issue and continued to do so over the next three days. Each time we were assured it would be fixed, yet nothing changed. On the third day, engineering admitted the air conditioning unit was broken and even removed the front panel in an attempt to improve airflow. We have photos documenting this. Despite knowing the unit was broken, management did not offer to move us until 6:00 PM on Saturday, just as we were leaving to attend the wedding we had traveled to Miami for. By then, moving rooms was not a realistic solution. What disappointed us most was not only the broken air conditioning, but the complete lack of communication and accountability. No manager ever came to our room to experience the conditions firsthand or followed up after our repeated complaints. The poor maintenance extended beyond our room. Many of the pool lounge chairs, including the one I was assigned, were ripped and torn. We have included photos of both the broken air conditioning unit and the damaged pool furniture. I want to recognize Remington Hogan and the valet staff, who were outstanding and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for hotel management. Although the hotel acknowledged the issues, the compensation offered did not reflect the severity of spending four nights in a room with a confirmed broken air conditioning system. We are loyal Marriott guests and have stayed at many luxury Marriott properties around the world. This experience fell well below the standards we have come to expect. I hope management takes this review seriously and makes meaningful improvements for future guests.

⚠️ WARNING TO BEACH LOVERS: If you are booking this resort specifically for a pristine, crystal-clear Miami beach experience, check the sargassum (seaweed) forecasts first. During the summer months, the beach can be completely covered in thick, rotting seaweed that smells heavily of sulfur. The water turns into a brown soup, making swimming impossible. The hotel staff tries to clean it, but nature wins. If I paid thousands to swim in the ocean and arrived to this, I would be furious. Check the local conditions before you book!

I had the most spectacular experience thanks to Federico de la Colina and Karill Frye. I needed a change of room and they immediately made everything in their hands to help me do the change without having to wait 2 days as it was supposed to be. They were so friendly and caring. I felt lime home, like talking to family. And I am VERY grateful for them and the way they figured out everything fast. Inwill keep coming here ALWAYS!! It’s like being at home away from home. 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anthony and Julian provided exceptional service during my beach day. They were friendly, professional, and attentive from the moment I arrived. They quickly set up my chairs and umbrella, made sure everything was perfectly positioned, and checked in throughout the day to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Their positive attitudes and attention to detail truly enhanced my experience. Anthony and Julian went above and beyond to make my time at the beach relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend seeking them out—they are a great asset to the beach team and made my day unforgettable!

As a black person, I would not stay at this hotel. I stayed for five days, I was the only person of color I saw aside from the people working there, the entire time. Not only was it uncomfortable, I was then accused of taking a bottle of grey goose from the mini bar that I did not take. It seems like quite a coincidence that the only person of color at the hotel, is being accused of essentially stealing. When I told the hotel that there’s no way possible I took this bottle, being that my room had been turned down the night before and the bottle was still there, they sent me back even more accusations. This hotel is priced too high to go back and forth with a paying customer about whether or not they took $130 bottle of 350ML grey goose. If I was of another demographic, they would have absorbed this charge and said “so sorry for the misunderstanding, we’ll take care of it” which is exactly the response I received before I received another response saying that had to “open an investigation” if you’re reading this and you’re black, you know exactly how that feels. To spend over $4000 to stay at this hotel, consume food and beverages there with extreme room service fees, buy alcoholic drinks from the bar, feel uncomfortable because you’re the only black person there….and to still be accused of something like this. All my friends say they don’t do turndown service or cleaning because they might get accused of taking something. I would always tell them, “you’re crazy these people are just doing their job” and for my next stay to be this terrible experience is just….ironic. I’ve attached a photo to show the complete 180 that’s been done as it relates to this charge. This is the response most people would receive, just not me. Maybe he sent this out and thought I was of a different demographic. Because why would you send me this and then all of a sudden need to investigate. Also, the second email says that the bottle had been consumed from, and that there was evidence. But the picture of evidence is the bottle being completely gone….instead of taking your guests word for it (who has already spent thousands) they are quite literally accusing me. Do not stay here if you want to be treated like a person and made to feel comfortable. The whole time I was there everyone looked at me as if I didn’t deserve to be there; the pool attendants didn’t even look at me and when they did, they rolled their eyes. As others who have stayed here have stated, you can get much better service at much nicer hotels. Go stay at the St. Regis Bal Harbour or the Ritz Bal Harbour (both of which I’ve stayed at) much nicer properties for the same price. You would think this hotel wants return guests but it almost seems as if they don’t care whether you come back or not because their property is cool and trendy right now.

I have been a guest at Miami Beach Edition several times now and every stay has been truly amazing! The staff is all very attentive and accommodating. Randy and Alex(we made sure to sit in Randy’s section by the pool everytime) were the absolute best…personable, fun to talk to…When I do return I will definitely ask for them by name!

My stay was terrible. Rooms are small and dated for the price charged. Pool area is absolutely crowded with club members leaving no space for hotel guests. Hotel is selling the pool area twice!! But the real problem came at the checkout. I was supposed to pay for the valet service but they broke my car keys!! To ease the problem they offered me not to charge for the valet service so the 200 dollars fee was removed from my final balance! I paid the final expenses with a credit card and left the hotel. The following day I discovered that they used the security deposit to charge the valet service after I check out the hotel and without my knowledge!

I was here celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday, and Julio was amazing as was the rest of the staff at the beach!

I’m writing to share candid feedback from my recent stay, in the hope that it’s useful. I genuinely wanted to love the Miami Edition, and I came in with high expectations — but I left feeling that the experience didn’t live up to the price tag or to the brand. On the positive side, the lobby bar was a clear standout. The menu was thoughtful, the energy was fun, and the team behind the bar were genuinely engaging. It’s the kind of space that gives the property real personality. Where the experience fell short was in the service philosophy. The check-in felt performative rather than welcoming — being escorted up to the room played as theater rather than hospitality. That tone carried through to the late check-out request, which was declined despite a 4 PM courtesy being standard at most properties for Ambassador Elite members at the 100+ night tier. For a guest with that level of investment in the brand, the inflexibility was surprising. For honest comparison, the St Regis Bal Harbour delivers a meaningfully more refined and guest-centric experience at a comparable price point — warmer service, fewer affectations, and a clearer sense that the guest comes first. I share this not to complain, but because I suspect the property is capable of much more than what I experienced. All in all — go to the St Regis Bal Harbour unless you want to pay a steep price for mediocre service.

We had a great time at the edition. We love the scent of the hotel and our time spent at the beach was incredible kicked off by the impeccable service of Alex who set us up with great seats overlooking the ocean!

Grande disagio al check-in: per errore la mia segretaria ha prenotato dal suo profilo booking e mancato d'indicare il mio nome come occupante della camera. Per fortuna il mio cognome era menzionato nelle richieste speciali e mi è stata data la chiave della camera, ma solo dopo molta insistenza. Come ex-residente al Miami-Beach Edition per più di 10 anni, non è stato per niente un bel ritorno "a casa". Ho soggiornato in una "King Room con Vista oceano", purtroppo situata vicino a scale/ascensore: insonorizzazione da migliorare per ridurre rumori e schiamazzi dal corridoio. Ho fatto chiedere per iscritto, e poi telefonicamente dalla mia segretaria un cambio camera per averne una più tranquilla. Nonostante la disponibilità online di altre camere della stessa categoria per il periodo rimanente, il cambio non si è potuto fare. Ignoro ancora il motivo. La gestione della richiesta scritta è stata lentissima. Tra i team del Guest Experience Team, del Front Desk ed il Room controller la comunicazione è inesistente: la segretaria ha ricevuto una risposta scritta da un room controller solo due giorni dopo e praticamente il giorno prima della mia partenza. Reattività e professionalità da rivedere. Il Front-desk è rigido, impaziente e incapace di gestire le situazioni con un ospite "straniero" in presenza. Un 5 stelle si distingue dal servizio, e qui è totalmente assente: mancano gentilezza e capacità di problem-solving. Esperienza molto deludente, sconsigliato. Ridurre le procedure operative, i sistemi gestionali, le gerarchie e/o l' intelligenza artificiale. Serve più esperienza ed empatia con il cliente. Un tempo le mance si elargivano per merito nel servizio.

Lobby and pool areas get five stars. Mattress was comfortable. Front desk was nice. That’s the positives. Only one of the three elevators worked. My room was dirty. Common areas away from the lobby were dirty. Room smelled like smoke. Valet forgot about me for 15 min. Honestly had it not been for the EXORBITANT price they charged I wouldn’t have left this review. But for what they charge everything should have been on point. Very disappointed. Consider booking elsewhere.

Great location right on Miami Beach. The food was very good, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is stylish and relaxing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice water-facing balcony. Some staff members, especially valet parking and the F&B team, were very kind and attentive.

Service was inconsistent at times. The reception experience was not the most welcoming, and one interaction felt quite short. Some areas of the room and hotel showed signs of wear. We also experienced minor issues around booking and billing that required follow-up.

Eveyone is always so welcoming! The staff pays so much attention to detail. The best part is spending the day by the beach, Juan and Julian are the best at setting you up for a perfect day of sun and amazing food. Comfort, luxury and relaxing at its very best!

The public areas of the hotel are nice as is the pool area. I personally wouldn’t stay here again as the room was so poorly sound proofed. You’ll hear the banging of everyone’s doors as they open and close them and the constant noise of people in the halls - so for me it was just not relaxing at all. Service was average expected better for the price. F&B insanely expensive.

This hotel has, without a doubt, some of the worst front desk service I’ve experienced. I called twice prior to my arrival to request an early check-in, as I had two rooms under my reservation. Despite this, when I arrived around noon, I was told I would need to wait until the standard 4 PM check-in time. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while I was standing at the front desk repeatedly checking on my room status, several guests who arrived after me were given access to their rooms well before the official check-in time. This level of inconsistency and lack of consideration is extremely disappointing!

This hotel did not deliver a five-star experience. The Oceanview King room was misrepresented for the first three nights, housekeeping was inconsistent, advertised facilities were not available as described, and issues required repeated follow-ups during the stay. More concerning was what happened after checkout: despite being assured that no additional charges would apply due to the issues experienced, I was later charged a significant amount without explanation and have received no response from management despite multiple attempts to contact them. Despite management confirming that Oceanview King rooms do not have the advertised view, the listing continues to display ocean-facing images over 35 days later. This stay required far too much time and effort to resolve basic matters, and the post-stay handling was particularly disappointing. I would advise future guests to be cautious and to verify room categories and charges carefully.

Good location, property has everything you need.

The Miami Beach EDITION is a beautiful upscale hotel, with a great atmosphere(the air freshener especially!). However , unfortunately, it delivers an inconsistent experience. At this price level, I expect more and better. Some examples: Sometimes there’s turn-down room service; sometimes there’s not. Sometimes there are shower caps in the room bathroom; sometimes there are not. Sometimes they make the bed the way we asked; sometimes they don’t. The quality of the towels in the room as well as by the pool has gone down. The poolside deck chairs are very hard and uncomfortable. The public washrooms don’t get cleaned up often enough and, weirdly, they lack a proper waste paper basket…so they’re always messy. I’ll stop now. The restaurant is dark and lacks atmosphere and the menu selection is small We stayed here last year and the human atmosphere has deteriorated. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful (thank you for the iPhone plug I needed in a rush), but the rest of the staff attitude seems random, especially because many of them do not even make eye contact when they see you. Matador could have a greater selection and the room is too dark.
