Sandman Hotel & Suites Kelowna

We were booked into a tower suite. We had just come from a beautifully clean and updated room at Sandman Calgary West. This room was smelly, old and basically terrible.The kitchen was ill equipped, the bathroom had only 2 towels and shampoo/soad bottles were missing.

The bathroom needs complete ammenities. The kitchen needs an actual 8oz glass. the only thing there is a 2 ounce cup for a child. the faucets were all loose, and the bathroom sink hardly drained.

Kelowna was nice, hotel was a bit older, but overall good.

Area seemed to have lot of homeless people, water was turned off for one of the days for maitenance

I woke up to have a shower around 9am and there was no hot water for the shower. For over $150 a night one would think they should be able to have hot water in the morning. I will never stay there again.

The pool and hot tub the bar onsite has good food and friendly staff.

Our king suite was very used and could use a Reno. Had fruit flies in our room for our 2 night stay. Then front desk did come to our room and bring a couple of Fruit fly traps that caught soooooo many of them. Was gross.

Inside was okay, the lobby was lovely but the room was kind of rundown. I’d like to say, however, that Lina at the front desk was exceptional! She was so friendly, efficient and professional.

There were a lot of unfinished things laying around, even though renovations are being done, it just was kind of shabby looking.

I want to highlight the excellent service I received from front desk attendant Jean. She was incredibly kind and accommodating when I needed to change my booking. I initially made a mistake with my reservation for the next day, and although I called customer care, I was told I couldn't modify it. However, Jean was able to assist me directly at the front desk and successfully changed my booking. A big thank you to Jean for her helpfulness and professionalism.

Our stay was okay. The front office staff were welcoming and friendly, which we appreciated. However, the room's cleanliness could be improved. The bathtub was not cleaned well and had noticeable body dirt buildup, which affected our overall impression of the room.

It was ridiculously hot and the AC didn't work very well. It was too hot to sleep comfortably. The balcony to my room was overlooked by a totally other room so I couldnt open my curtains at all as another guest would see directly in to my room. Had a terrible night's sleep due to other guests running up and down the hallways and yelling until the early hours. The room was clean though, and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel location is pretty good and central to everything.

We booked last minute and got an excellent deal on pricing during the height of summer travel. Room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. A great place to spend the night. Denny’s Restaurant had very pleasant staff and a great value.

Dirty rooms, filthy windows, rooms build quality is bellow mediocre, we stayed at the tower on the 4th floor, and it felt like I was sleeping outside or sleeping with a window wide open, you could hear every vehicle driving by. After paying 1200$ for 3 nights ill never stay there again.

We stayed ground floor. It was noisy from all sides,right,left and above. Footsteps, the sound of television late into the night, chatter from early morning, and the sound of cars lining up at the McDonald's drive-thru.

Rooms were not clean, black under toilet rim and in bathtub corners. There were stains on the rugs. Window covering did not block out the sun. It was bright as day at 5:30am. There were 5 plates but only 2 bowls and cutlery was 5 spoons and 3 forks.

Air-conditioner didnt work well at all unfortunately!! It needs to be replaced. As well the hottub had food or something floating around the bottom 🤢 and looks like it needs updated!!

It was a convenient hotel for a decent night's sleep after an 18 hour flight. The bed was quite comfortable and there was a good shower.

We were right beside the pool so there was quite a bit of noise from the families in the area, but it quieted down by 10 pm. Being so close to the pool it increased the humidity in the room. The air conditioner is very old and VERY noisy. No way you could sleep through that (lucky for us it was early June and fairly cool). The bathroom fan was also old and rattled quite loudly.

The bed was super comfy and the suite was clean. Great for a one or two night stay. Staff was friendly and location was central and close to many shopping and dining options.

As with most things these days, price was a little above what it should be for a small hotel room.

Disappointed that the dishwasher was broken. No true stove or oven. There was a camp like stove top which you pulled out and a toasted oven. No wine glasses

The room was just the right size, very quiet and private. The bed was extremely clean and comfortable with European/french folded linens. There were extra pillows, and blankets stored in a cupboard for my comfort. The kitchenette was clean, well organized and extra coffee, tea, creamers and sugar was available to make coffee and tea in the morning. There appears to be a 24 hour guard service outside as well which made me feel very safe. The bathroom was arranged with a new rubberized bath mat for my safety, hair dryer, and there were lots of clean, fresh linens and bath products--more than I needed. The air con, heat, lighting, microwave and fridge all worked perfectly. There were plenty of onsite ammenities with which to pass the evening hours.

Stayed her twice now. Both times booked on Booking. Felt like a secend class customer. Room on the first floor in the new tower with headlights shining on my bed. This had to be the worst room in the complex. Walking to the room felt like I was walking through a utility doorway and hall. NOT Sandman quality. Other night I was givin a room in the old wing. Tired room facing pool. Nowhere in my booking did it say I would not have natural light. Many other better options in Kelowna. I will avoid this property

Washroom was very small , toilet seat was very small, shower tub was very small like for kid. Iron was not available in the room , i called them twice but they clearly said iron is not available for you

Comfortable bed

Loud bathroom fan that needs to be replaced. Loud AC. Homeless people rummaging through the dumpsters late at night causing noise. Police involved in nearby suite for a safety check. Again creating more noise ( not hotels fault of course). Likely won’t stay here again.

I was placed in a room that the shower did not work properly and then was moved to a room directly by a construction zone in the hall way. The bathroom still had issues- i. e. the kick plate behind the tub tap was completely off the wall- clearly looked like nothing was recently repaired. The toilet was disgusting and the view faced the pool area.

Rooms were clean and in room coffee was good.

Had to hold the handle down on our toilet till it was flushed completely, sink didn’t drain well due to the plug not being up high enough.
