Superb location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
The colour of the decor!! Peach is not my favourite....
The location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful
The carpark had almost no spaces, we had to switch rooms after having a replacement key twice because the door was broken, then had to share a bed instead of having 2 twins. The price of the hotel didnt reflect the size of the room we received either.
Great location Hotel lobby playlist was full of bangers
The hotel is really big, but felt unwelcoming. The reception feels like a bit like an office when you walk in. Initial reception staff were frosty and unpleasant, and told us to come back later. Wasn’t a great start. Next set of reception staff were much better. Room was grey, bleak and in desperate need of a revamp. Carpet was stained. Strip LED lighting was coming away from the headboard. Bathroom was really tired. Tiles had been painted over but the paint was peeling off. The shower head was at shoulder height and the bath leaked onto the floor. I used the car park, which was decent value at £20 for the night. Unfortunately a piece of the hotel’s facade fell off and landed on my car. I’m thankful it didn’t land on me or anyone else. This has written my car off and meant I have had to make a claim through my car insurance. I would normally say this was just bad luck but with the rest of the facilities being so run down I think it is due to a failure to conduct health and safety checks. I spoke to the hotel manager who was pleasant and apologetic at the time. However he has not replied to my email asking for their public liability insurance provider or their reference number. This is slowing down the process and leaving me out of pocket. All in all, a pretty terrible experience at a cost of nearly £200 for a night with parking.
Staff were exceptionally good 👍, location fabulous, everything we wanted to do was in walking distance and was nice to be able to park my car somewhere safe thank you will definitely be back xx
Not much to be honest apart from electric was cut from our room but staff were quick to react and had it up and running in no time
Location and staff
Air conditioning didn't work, toilet was leaking, windows didn't open
Property as ok the issue was that I had booked two room for the two occupants in each room to have breakfast included. On arrival only one person from Each room was eligible for breakfast as I hadn’t put their names down for breakfast. I have never in any of my other stays with any other hotel had to do this to be eligible for breakfast. We then had to pay full price £17 for the two occupants to have breakfast then.

Absolutely loved it. But the room is unbearably hot. I didn’t sleep at all. Other than that though it was perfect

The location
Because not internet, i needed to work on Friday and I couldn’t , so mad the situation and they just told me , “sorry for that “, they did not clean , they were opening my door every hour in the last day because they did not update the late checking , the almost saw me naked
The room was spacious and had a good bathroom, great location with a good view.
Needed to get a new keycard every day as it would stop working on our room door, very frustrating every time, apparently the cards are very sensitive to getting wiped if near other bank cards or your phone while in your pocket or wallet.

The receptionists were brilliant 😊
The beds are not comfortable
The bed was huge. The staff were lovely.
Pillows were rock hard. The kettle tripped the electrics twice. No menu for restaurant easily available. Directions for the car park non existent, putting the postcode in takes you away from where it is.
Very convenient and informative, knew exactly where everything was when we first got there. They also didn't ask for a deposit, which we were expecting! Since we booked through booking.com, they also let us check out at 12pm. Next to a SPAR, a tescos express and an Asian convenience store.

The beds were comfy and its was spacious and had a bath and a shower and tea and coffee in the room aswell
Found the floor wasn’t that clean and bed had makes on it
Het personeel die heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam is. Lekker ontbijt en lekker snacks in de bar
Niets
Room was a good size. Staff were attentive to our needs and very helpful when asked questions. Comfy mattress.
The bedsheet was very small for me and I'm not a tall guy. Standard practise felt a little off, for example - cold water from the bathroom tap was hard to access, only 1 toilet roll was provided, confusion around check out time.
Nice clean hotel
The location was excellent, it was clean and the staff were very helpful
There was renovations at the time we arrived, which we were not aware of and not mentioned when we checked in. The workmen started at 7.30 in the morning and The drilling started at 9 which was above our room so not very peaceful. It was not the alarm call we wanted.
Good variety of restaurants and shops/supermarkets nearby. Comfortable beds and clean room with a nice view to the hills in the distance (some rooms only I suppose)
My fault but it was a bit further from Piccadilly station than I thought. (It's by Piccadilly Gardens, not the station). Other than that it was fine and had good views over Manchester and to the hills beyond. It was good before a morning flight the next day.
Well located. Not modern. Wifi did not work
quick efficient service on reception everywhere was nice and clean
Bartender - first shift, was drownig without assistance, waited over 30 minutes to be served Room noise - not sure about soundproofing. We have stayed many times before and never heard our neighbours chatting through the wall like this(2 male voices). They weren't raised voices, just chatting. Made us feel a bit vulnerable in case others could hear two womens voices through the wall.
The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay. Any time I had a query I used the chat feature and got a response within one minute which was extremely reassuring. They held our bags for us post checkout as I was visiting for work which was really appreciated.
Our room was outdated and it wasn’t the cleanest but we were comfortable and it’s understandable being that there are a lot of rooms. There was loud drilling and hammering going on at 8am which we didn’t necessarily mind because we were already awake but for others visiting for a relaxing city break I can’t imagine would have been very comfortable.
Breakfast and rooms were good.
Would have liked a little more choice for dinner in restaurant.
Perfect location.
The constant noise from the renovations , bang bang bloody bang.
Great location, walkable distance to everything needed.
Aircon was very poor.
We recently stayed at your Manchester Piccadilly hotel, occupying three rooms and I wanted to take a moment to let you know how impressed we were with our stay. From reception, the bar and restaurant to housekeeping, every single member of your team was fantastic. Everyone we encountered was friendly, polite, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and we were also very impressed with the excellent choice of food available at breakfast. However, whilst all of these things certainly contributed to an enjoyable stay, it was your team that really made our visit excellent. Their friendly and professional approach made us feel very welcome throughout our stay and we genuinely appreciated it. Please pass on our thanks and praise to everyone involved. They are a real credit to your hotel and deserve to know that their hard work and attitude really do make a difference to guests. Well done to the whole team – you should be very proud of them!
Being in the city centre was ideal for getting out and about, all the staff were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to help. The room was clean, light and spacious with a comfy bed and ample facilities
Parking was a bit pricey but being a city centre location was to be expected.
Location
Lack of facilities
Staff were lovely, when we arrived back around 1am the bar was closed but the young man behind reception asked what we wanted and with it only being ice he said he'd bring it to our room for us and he come straight up with it. Breakfast was buffet style with everything you could possibly want and need from hot food and cereals and fruits, everything was hot and fresh. Location is perfect and right outside a bus station and tram stop. Shops are underneath the hotel including a spa and Greggs. The Arndale it around a 3 minute walk away. Great location and staff. The beds are also very comfortable and the air con is very quiet, showers are really powerful and hot
الموقع ممتاز والسرير مريح والوان الغرفة جميلة والافطار متنوع
صغر مساحة الغرفة ولا يوجد تلفون داخل الغرفة ووجود عمال يشتغلون بالقرب من غرفتي
Staff were friendly and helpful in the reception.
Piccadilly is a horrible location these days. We didn’t feel safe at night due to the sketchy looking men hanging around on the streets and lurking in the dark passageways. It left us feeling very uncomfortable. Hotel was undergoing some renovations which is why I marked it down. It’s very dated and needed a good overhaul.
Clean reception area staff very pleasant and breakfast staff too.
Staff at the bar at night time, tried to mock my partner. Very sarcastic. Ask if they served food. Walked me round the other side and showed me a selection of crisps and laughed. Made sarcastic comments about no chef at that time. Member of staff was called Ben.
Very friendly staff and breakfast was great
The only thing was when in bar and resteraunt was not on the same floor had to go down a floor but other than that it was great
The location
Undergoing refurbishment
Perfect location to explore
Nothing to complain about
Lovely clean and comfortable rooms
Nothing
Staff were very friendly and super helpful.
The lifts looked like service lifts.
We had a great stay here. I booked 7 rooms for a group on th1 st Aug and we all enjoyed our stay. The location is great, the staff we met were all very friendly and helpful. We had drinks in the bar which has great views over piccadilly gardens. The rooms were comfortable and the showers good. I would not hesitate to book here again if I needed a central Manchester hotel. Thank you!!
Staff were very friendly
Paid for a suite but only told on arrival it was not available, however i did receive two emails asking me to upgrade my experience before I arrived but nothing about a room change. We were then given a recently refurbished room and offered free parking and a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Breakfast items are obviously cooked well in advance and left on hot plates as the black pudding could have been used as a frisbee and when I asked for a poached egg the poor but very lovely waitress was told to come out and say it is normally fried eggs they serve (pre cooked0 although the menu offers poached eggs. When it did come with my breakfast I think it must have been from a Quail as it was barely visible. We wre there for a private function that finished at 9.45 and when we went to the bar the kitchen was closed and there was not even room service available
Bog standard - nothing special.
Location, friendly staff and comfortable beds
Nothing
Will not be staying here again. Internet terrible. One chair only in a room for 2 people. Nonresponsive AI when we attempted to reach the desk. Bedside phone present but not working.
Rooms clean, very spacious, very friendly staff
The restaurant was shut and was only told after I had booked, I would have liked to know that before booking
A good location. Pleasant staff
Electrics failed on room. Had to reset keycard three times. Internet ineffective after 9pm
Zentral gelegen. Sehr gutes Bett.
Emplacement,personnel
Pas d'eau froide dans la douche Le pommeau se douche futait Le wifi etait si mauvais que j'ai du travailler dans le hall d'accueil
Spotlessly clean throughout
Personally, I found the bed and pillows really uncomfortable
Central location
Room smaller than expected from the photos. Annoying generator noise every 20 minutes lasting 5 minutes!
Pretty poor experience here. They refused to give me a receipt for the stay claiming a "system transfer" was underway so they couldn't. I had to email the company directly before they issued me with one several weeks later. The bedroom itself was alright but the function room was freezing causing many people to bail on the event we were there for. As a final straw, after being told multiple times we were set for the car park after paying, we got a fine in the mail.
The staff went out of their way to find a fridge ( during the heatwave) to accommodate medication.
The pillows were a bit flat
Location excellent. Reception staff lovely and friendly. Bed comfortable.
Bar staff miserable same as last time we stayed.very agitated as near closing time very unfriendly.
Excellent location
Breakfast and breakfast service was very poor, you would be better eating from other establishments near the hotel.
Accoglienza
Wifi non ben funzionante
The staff were friendly
No hot breakfast No power in plug sockets TV wouldnt work due to no power Noise of drilling early morning making it impossible to sleep No reply to my complaint by email
Staff were all amazing evening staff on 9th July, day staff on 10th and morning staff on 11th. I would love to name them all but there were so many but all fantastic. Giving thete are major renovations going on it did not effect our stay at all. Thank you
Room card not deactivating all the time.
Small comfortable but very basic room ie no fridge or safe. The reason for giving a 3 star review is because the hotel is undergoing building work/improvement meaning there is no cooked breakfast available. I was not informed of this on my confirmation e- mail or their website when booking. There also was no wi-fi available during my stay! Again I was not informed of this. Wi-fi and a breakfast are still advertised as facilities on their website - see attached photo. The receptionist (French?) just shrugged his shoulders when I told him of this problem. Personally I would avoid staying at this hotel until the building work is completed.
Good location, comfy bed
Customer service
Great location but be aware this will cost you in parking £20 per 24hours almost impossible to download parking app when you are in a steel and concrete structure I paid by phone on my bank card upon my return home I got a fine £100 for noon payment apparently prove of payment is insufficient proof of payment avoid avoid avoid.
Location super everything is lovely other than WiFi not working
No reception, WiFi, even when you use your phone network not working properly
The staff were great, nice central location. Rooms were fine.
The shower head over the bath was broken, sprayed water everywhere! The bar is on the 3rd floor, but the toilets are on the 2nd floor?!?!
This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Not only did they say we couldn’t have a cooked breakfast in the morning but we got woke. Up by drilling and banging from workmen next door at 8.00 am
Location and staff.
Bathroom poor. No water provided in room. Breakfast not good value.
air con
breakfast
Great hotel, excellent service from booking in till departing.staff 3xcellent
Room had everything you need a decent size television aswell
The parking postcode didn't work for us kept going round and round Manchester in the end went in the picadilly plaza which is right next to the hotel, when you eventually find it don't go down the ramp go up the second left entrance this is the actual carpark save yourself 10 pounds
The staff were fabulous, extremely helpful. Location.
Basic room, I understand a concert was on same night which puts up the price.
as always the staff were lovely, room was clean and bed very comfy.
the walls were very thin and could here the rooms next door even though they didn't seem to be speaking loud. someone had as playing the drums outside till 4 o'clock in the morning which did disturb our sleep. understand that's nothing to do with the hotel but we were on the ninth floor so thought it would've been quieter.
Convenient location
Room a bit tired but hotel undergoing refurbishment
The hotel was very central. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean
The staff were ok, some were not friendly. Rooms dated
Great position and friendly staff. Breakfast is good as well.
Exorbitant price for a very small room with air-conditioning barely working, windows not opening, no mini fridge to have some cool water over night. The tiny fan provided was not enough. Shower leaking, soap dispenser broken, rusty window frames, so disappointed.
locatin
I stayed at this hotel on 24th June and again from 26th to 28th June. During my stay, the weather was extremely hot, yet the air conditioning in the room was not functioning properly. The hotel provided only a small fan, which was insufficient. Although I was given a 50% refund for the first night, the same issue persisted over the following two nights without any further compensation:(
Location
Noisy. Decor needs updating / touching up. Bed - pillows uncomfortable. Bathroom unappealing - mouldy sealant.
The room was lovely and the staff incredibly nice and friendly. Excellent TV in the room.
The air con wasn't working. Great that a fan was sent to my room but it was still too warm. The wifi connection was very poor meaning that I needed to check out earlier than expected as I couldn't work.
Location. Good breakfast
No air con. Very small rooms
I liked the fact the windows opened and how comfortable the bed was
The size kind of let it down as the one advertised looked a wee bit more roomy except from that was clean and well maintained
The Location
There was no air

Location and restaurant staff.
1. When we checked in we were given a room on the 9th floor. We went to the 9th floor, it was hot as an oven. Our room, the same. The air conditioner was not working. This was in the middle of the heatwave. The room we booked listed air conditioner as a facility. We called down to the reception, the staff instead of saying she would send someone to check on the AC said she’d send up a fan. We said we don’t want a fan, we want the AC to be looked at and fixed. Someone came up even before he entered our room when he explained our AC wasn’t working he said it needs maintenance if you want AC your room needs to be changed. So the hotel was well aware that the AC on that floor wasn’t working but still checked us into that room. Shocking! We went down, asked for a room change, was given a room on the 8th floor where the AC was working. I’d very much like to know from the hotel management why we were given a room with a broken AC especially since other rooms were available. 2. The reception staff were always not very helpful. In fact, they didn’t seem like they wanted to help either. When we tried to pay for our extended stay, their entire computer system was down so she said she’d send didn’t know how much to charge me. When I showed her my booking.com booking with the charge, she called her manager and said that I was showing her a ‘random price on the phone’. Firstly I was showing her my booking.com confirmation. If she’s not familiar with those, she could have said that. Instead she made it seem like I was trying to con her with a random number on my phone? Disgraceful! 3. It took us 3 hours to get a change of towels. Not exaggerating it took us exactly 3 hours and a change of bins. 3 hours and 2 cleaners later… 4. All the staff apart from those who work in the restaurant were rude.
The location was great, at the heart of Manchester City centre. The restaurant staff were lovely always greeted us with a smile and very happy to help.

The Murcure provided the perfect location for our stay, on arrival we were met with with lovely helpful staff who provided us a way to check in early free of charge by signing up to their members programme. the room was compact but had everything we needed, the shower was a little dated and could be updated, the pressure was immense though. the breakfast had good options and was really tasty, the view from the restaurant was great too. If only it was reasonably priced all year round, I wouldn't pay more per night than what I did.
Nothing!
Couldn’t check into room before 3pm even though I did on line check in. Check in systems not working.
location good for central manchester
Systems were down when I arrived. Room very dated and AC not working. Room temp was 25 degrees. Could not get me another room as systems down. Gave a tiny fan that was useless. they said my only option was to accept the fan or I could check out. Decided to check out and found a lovely comfortable hotel with AC for the same price.
Lovely breakfast and helpful staff. Good location.
The main issue was the internet connection. It was pretty much non existent for the whole weekend.
breakfast was great room was great staff very helpful
Nothing
No ac in the rooms. Horrible rude staff. Pay parking that didnt work. Would never stay here again. Terrible
This is not a 4 Star hotel. Booked on the hottest day of the year as they advertise that all the rooms have air conditioning. They don't! Well it doesn't work anyhow, just makes a really annoying noise and no air comes out of the grill! I asked reception if there was a knack to make it work but was told that they were having issues and couldn't even move me to another room as the system had been down all day, funny how they managed to book me in 2 hours earlier! I couldn't even get any airflow into the room as the vent in the window was painted shut, to top it off tge extractor fan in the bathroom didn't function either!
Location was good ,short walk from train station and to the shops. breakfast was excellent very good choice of food . Only thing we could find wrong with the room was it was so hot ,could do with air con or provide a fan
No air con or fan in the room Everything else was good No plug socket next to bed
Location
No air conditioning
The room was very basic

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
4.5/10Multiple mentions of stained carpet, peeling paint in bathroom and generally tired/bleak rooms; housekeeping issues (entering rooms unexpectedly) reported.
Service
9/10Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and quick to react to problems (power cut); some front-desk coldness reported initially and one manager failed to follow up on an insurance query, but overall service sentiment is strongly positive.
Location
9.5/10Consistently praised across reviews: superb, central location within walking distance of attractions and convenient for parking; many guests cited location as a key positive.
Room Quality
5/10Rooms described as tired and in need of revamp: stained carpets, failing LED strips, poor bathroom condition, leaking bath/shower, overheating rooms, and keycard faults.
Amenities
7/10Mixed: car park cited as decent value and safe, lobby music enjoyed; but internet outages, non-functioning air conditioning, windows that don't open and other facility failures were reported.
Value for Money
5.5/10Several guests felt price did not reflect room size/condition and cited high costs (nearly £200/night, parking fees), reducing perceived value.
Food and Beverage
7.2/10Breakfast and food received positive mentions from some guests, but there were problems with the breakfast inclusion policy (names required) and extra charges for guests who expected it to be included.
Overall Experience
9.9/10Overall sentiment is mixed but skewed positive for many due to excellent location and very good staff; significant maintenance, safety and room-condition issues affected some stays—these are noted but many guests still reported they would return.
