I really enjoyed my stay at Strand Palace London. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. I would happily stay here again.

Das Strand Palace lag für uns genau richtig wegen der Musicals die wir ansehen wollten. Ausserdem ist man direkt am Covent Garden und nicht weit von der Themse entfernt.

Anthony, the Doorman, made our stay even better. He is a huge asset to the hotel.

Second bad stay there in a row, but had had better experiences previously . First time they ran out of water but only disclosed this when we were at the property and had already paid. Second time I was charged for an upgrade to a slightly larger room, the total cost with the upgrade was more than the largest room for that night. I don’t think I’ll stay there again

Can’t think of anything. Perhaps. We didn’t require or room to be refreshed daily. ie we ‘ went green’, but I wonder if such as tea bags and milk could be replaced if necessary. Nevertheless. Cleaning staff about were very helpful when asked.

Zimmerzuteilung war unzufriedenstellend. Ich hatte 302 als Superior Queen DZ gewünscht, wie oft in der Vergangenheit gelungen ist, aber dieses Mal war 302 belegt. Als gliechwertige Alternative wurde mir 388 zugewiesen. Aber das Zimmer war keineswegs vergleichbar mit 302. Aussicht zum Innenhof und viel zu klein, es kam mir vor eher wie ein Standard DZ, aber zum gleichen hohen Preis. Die Nacht in 388 war nicht komfortabel, da ich meinen Koffer nicht auspacken konnte, denn man hatte mir gesagt, dass ich am nächsten ein grösseres Zimmer in der Kategorie belegen könnte. Zimmer 750 wurde als "passende" Alternativ angeboten. Das Zimmer war etwas grösser, icj fühlte mich nicht so sehr eingeengt, aber obwohl man mir sagte, dass 750 auf der Strassenseite lag, hat man mir nicht gesagt, dass die Aussicht durch eine Steinmauer blockiert war, ich fühlte mich eher wie in einer Gefängniszelle. Der Teppichboden wurde auch nicht richtig gereinigt, da ich spät abends nach meiner Rückkehr Nagelabschnitte vorgefunden habe. Ich habe mich nicht vor Ort beschwert, da ich endlich meinen Koffer auspacken wollte und nicht erneut umziehen. Ich habe selber sauber gemscht. Für den Preis und verlängerten Aufenthalt erwarte ich ein gewisses Komfort. Ich wurde zum 1. Mal enttäuscht, und ich bin seit 2022 oft Gast im Strand Palace.

Very very old hotel that needs an upgrade for what they charge. The shower in our room didn’t not cater for tall people given the low ceiling and for some reason the shower is on a platform. Our TV didn’t work. Our room wasn’t serviced despite asking twice to get it serviced.

The welcome by the porter was very friendly and courteous. The front desk personnel were very professional and very friendly. They explained all about the hotel and gave detailed instructions that were easy to follow. The room was of a very pleasing size with all the facilities required. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. The location of the hotel was very central to the theatres, restaurants and public transport. Would certainly use this hotel again.

The room was extremely small There was no where to hang a towel in the bathroom. If you had wanted to use a towel for a second day , there was no where to hang it

The hotel was wonderful. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel location is so convenient to the theatre district, restaurants, shops and attractions.

Excellent location. Staff friendly. They have a good scheme if you skip having your room cleaned for one day you get a voucher to spend in the bar or restaurant.

No fridges in the rooms which is surprising as this is pretty standard practice in most hotels especially for the price you pay.

A long check in queue, one member of staff on, other staff who finally came to reception had been standing around talking. We were called forward like a budget supermarket check-out, no greeting, just “Name?’ No pleasantries at all - in an allegedly four star hotel. Whoever decided painting the corridors of a hotel the same colour as poop should not be allowed anywhere near interior design. The room was depressing, small, bland and NO SOUND PROOFING AT ALL. We heard the people in the next room peeing and flushing! We were overlooking the road, and heard all traffic noise. We had a very big day the next day so decided we weren’t prepared to accept two star standards and booked into a decent hotel. We received the written apology and meal discount voucher that is repeated over, and over, and over again on other reviews. Like other reviewers we will never darken the doorway of this dump again!

The plug in the bathroom sink did not work, there were no blinds in the bathroom so privacy was not good overlooking the road.

dark hakkways, rooms are so small that you can not open your luggage fully. The shower enclosure is so small and low that you must sitdown.

The location is great. There is not much else to like about this property and it is just getting worse with age.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it is not ageing well. The flush in my room was next to impossible to use. The elevators are incredibly slow. There are impossibly long lines for check in and breakfast. And finally, I was unwell and had to delay departure by a day. As it was a prepaid reservation, this should not have been an issue. Still, I called the hotel and they said they'd put it into no show but if it Booking.com called them, they'd be able to fix this. I called Booking.com and the very helpful agent called the hotel, confirmed that it was resolved, and let me know. And still, when I arrived, the room was not ready for me (although I had in fact paid for it from the day before). All they could offer me was a shower in the pretty shoddy gym shower and a "quiet space" which was dirty, not carpeted or comfortable, and not quiet--in the gym locker. There was another person in the exact same situation as me in the locker at the time. Poorly done, Strand Palace.

Jag hade en mycket trevlig vistelse på Strand Palace i London. Ett särskilt stort tack till Ibrahima i receptionen, som var otroligt hjälpsam när min telefon, ID-handling och kreditkort blev stulna. I en väldigt stressande och obehaglig situation var Ibrahima lugn, vänlig och professionell. Han gjorde verkligen det lilla extra för att hjälpa mig och få situationen att kännas mer hanterbar. Jag är väldigt tacksam för hans fina bemötande och fantastiska service. Ibrahima är verkligen en stor tillgång för hotellet. Stort tack!

Det enda negativa var att rummet var väldigt litet och kändes trångt, särskilt för en längre vistelse.

The only person I had contact with was Anthony - he helped with suitcase and hailing taxi. He was friendly and courteous always. The housekeeping staff were polite.

No fridge. No bathrobe. No shower cap. Hair drier cable did not reach mirror. The conditioner container and holder in the shower fell off the wall during the night. Big fright! I appreciate that this is an occurrence that could happen anytime and I do not complain about this.

La ubicación sin duda es espectacular, está a 5-10 minutos de cualquier parte del centro. El hotel es muy grande y dispone de todos los servicios, buen restaurante y bares para tomar una copa. El personal muy amable y la limpieza impecable.

El tamaño de la habitación es bastante reducido, lo justo para dormir y ducharte, daba a un patio interior, y la cama estaba muy justa, si te tumbabas cerca del borde, se te caía el cuerpo. Mucho homeless en la calle cuando se hacían las 10-11 de la noche.

Since my last stay in this hotel couple years ago it was improved with some indoor services such as safe camera in the room, coffee machine and there was even gift chocolate, although my room was the most simple one. Location is just perfect. In the really heart of London extremely close with lot of attractions. And of course staff, who was more than friendly.
