The Omni King Edward Hotel

Friendly staff and comfortable bed. Rooms were really spacious and the location was perfect.

It is seeped in history but could use updating to modernize it. For example, the shower was a little challenging to use and generally the rooms could do with an upgrade like the curtains and carpets. I used the ironing board and iron and it was very old and the iron leaked and stained some of my clothes with limescale. For a hotel this central and this expensive (and for its star rating) I would have expected more, for example better quality towels and toilet tissue, better products (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) and free amenities like toothpaste, sewing kit, razors etc.

Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr königlich und imposant. Das Zimmer war für eine Familie ausreichend groß und die Lage des Hotels ist für die Erkundung von Downtown Toronto optimal.

Wir waren im obersten Stock und hatten eine Nacht eine Hochzeit im Ballsaal über uns. Der DJ hat Techno aufgelegt, dass die Zimmerdecke gebebt hat. Das kommt sicher nicht oft vor, aber vielleicht sind die obersten Zimmer am Wochenende nicht optimal. Um halb zwei war Gott sei Dank Ruhe.

It was in an excellent location with great staff. The suite was wonderful, and the hotel’s restaurant was top tier too.

Nous étions dans une suite junior, avec un grand lit king size et un lit d'appoint pour notre enfant. La literie est très confortable. La salle de bain grande et les produits proposés incroyables. Il y a un placard pour ranger les valises et le coin salon est très beau. L'hotel est situé sur une voie centrale de Toronto, à 5 minutes de la gare centrale a pied. Il y a des restaurants et bar à proximité. C'est un très bon emplacement pour visiter.

Nous avons été surpris de devoir changer la chambre réservée sur booking pour 3, car elle ne pouvait pas recevoir 2 adultes et 1 enfant. En effet vraisemblablement le lit d'appoint ne rentrait pas. La climatisation est un peu bruyante.

Hôtel avec beaucoup de cachet et très bien situé. À notre arrivée, nous avons toutefois rencontré un problème avec la chambre : la climatisation était extrêmement bruyante. L’hôtel a immédiatement réagi en nous proposant une autre chambre, beaucoup plus spacieuse, et nous a également offert le petit-déjeuner. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le professionnalisme et la réactivité de l’équipe, qui a su trouver une solution rapidement et avec beaucoup d’attention.

Great location for those who travel to the financial district downtown Toronto.

If you are undecided about where to stay in Toronto....you would be hard pressed to find a better spot ! Great location....friendly and super helpful staff and excellent food and service ! The Consort lounge in the hotel is super comfortable and is a great spot for a relaxing lunch or pre-dinner drink. Rooms are spacious and inviting and the beds are what you'd love to have in your own home !

Really comfortable, clean and friendly hotel experience. Parking is super close too, and the hotel is walking distance (about 1K/0.6 miles) from Scotiabank Arena and other sites. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helped us out when i forgot to add a roll away bed on the original (3rd party) registration, and the fee wasn't much. I very much appreciated the text messages that were not automated, but I asked questions and they responded. I wish every hotel was as good as this!!!

The hotel is in a nice area and makes it easy to get to things to do. Room was clean and an okay size for two people. Front desk was very nice and helpful when needed. Loved the lobby and look of the hotel. Overall nice hotel for a good price would stay again.

We stayed at the Omni King Hotel for two nights and had a great experience. The hotel is beautiful, especially the huge lobby, and we really liked the chess theme throughout the property—it made the hotel feel unique. The staff were amazing. We were traveling with our toddlers and needed a microwave to warm their milk, and they brought one up to our room without any issues. They also gave us extra bottles of water whenever we asked and even let us check out an hour later, which we really appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was great, and the bathroom was surprisingly large. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The hotel looks great, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they really made us feel welcome. We'd definitely stay here again.

A great room with a super comfy bed ! The reception staff were super helpful and got us into our room early which was hugely appreciated ! We had a wonderful lunch in the hotel bar with great food and excellent service ! We lived in Toronto for over twenty years but as locals we never needed to stay here....but the restaurant was great and the prices were what you'd pay down the street for way less quality food and service ! We will stay here from now on when coming back to the city !

Ad una distanda di 1-1,5 km è possibile andare a piedi all'Harboufront, Union Station, CN Towrers, Rogers Ballpark, ecc. Letti estremamente comodi, noi abbiamo fatto due notti e sono servite per riposarci e proseguire il tour, assolutamente consigliato

Stayed at the Omni King Edward Hotel for a weekend getaway with my husband and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is full of charm and character, with the elegance of a traditional historic property that makes the stay feel truly special. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable, featuring a king-size bed that made for a perfect night’s sleep. Everything was thoughtfully maintained while still preserving the hotel’s classic style. We enjoyed brunch at the hotel restaurant, and it was delightful — great food and a lovely atmosphere to start the day. We also had drinks at the lobby bar, where both the service and ambiance were incredible and made for a very nice evening. The staff throughout our stay were extremely attentive and welcoming, and the location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of downtown, within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and major attractions. Overall, a wonderful stay full of charm, comfort, and excellent service. We would definitely return.

Exceptional customer service from a friendly, professional Omni King Edward team!! We cannot say enough about the extraordinary experience we enjoyed during our most recent stay. We arrived around noon before an afternoon theatre outing and were greeted warmly by Tugce at the front desk. Although we were early, she found us an available room without hesitation. She provided us with an exceptional room, but more importantly, complemented it with a warm, professional, and personal check-in experience. What a lovely way to start our stay. On our way to our room, we encountered some housekeeping staff. Unlike the usual quick hello you often receive, we were greeted warmly, and supervisor Marion introduced herself and her colleague. She welcomed us and let us know that if we needed anything, she and her team would be happy to help. Before we had even reached our room, an already wonderful experience had become even better We went to the theatre and had a great time and and before we had even returned to the hotel, our pleasant experience became exceptional. Tugce, who checked us in and was off duty, walking down the street, recognized us and made a point of stopping to say hello. She introduced herself again, asked how everything was going, and genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying our stay. To say we were blown away would be an understatement After returning to the hotel, we decided to have a drink in the bar and had the most pleasant experience with our server, Sravan. He is a consummate professional: warm, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. He's an outstanding ambassador for both the hotel bar and the Omni King Edward. There is no doubt in our minds that our next stay in Toronto will be at the Omni King Edward. It's not just a room, it's an experience, and one we won't forget. The hotel is in a great location for easy access to the subway and local attractions such as the CN Tower or the Eaton Centre. It is a beautiful hotel with a large, grand lobby area that is spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were large and recently refurbished - very comfortable beds! We enjoyed lovely food for breakfast and at dinner.

Some of the service at breakfast was a little slow and inconsistent at times. Asking for simple swaps on the breakfast menu (e.g. no egg but some extra bacon instead if possible) were some mornings met with confusion/mild annoyance or 'I will check with the kitchen but you will have to pay extra for that' whereas on other mornings it would be 'yes of course, no problem.'

An amazing hotel where everything worked perfectly—from the staff's friendliness to the little details in the lobby. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was spectacular. I highly recommend this hotel.

Dirty underwear was left behind in the closet from a previous stay. Took a day to fix that. Bad wifi, toilet roll holder was not installed. Wifi is unencrypted, TV is chromecast and didn’t allow streaming of Apple TV on iOS.

Enjoyed staying at this classic and quiet hotel. I appreciate the friendly cleaning staffs, particularly Josephine. Also, nice fitness center, clean and spacious with up-to-date machines!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. The room was immaculate. The location was also perfect. It was walking distance to almost everything that we wanted to do, and if we couldn't walk, the subway was a block away. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a historical hotel, It is the King Eddy and my wife will stay no where else when we are in Toronto. It is really old world class with great large comfortable rooms. My wife thinks they have the most comfortable beds and asked if she could find the manufacturer, it remains a secret. So stay at the King Eddy and enjoy the old world class and the very comfortable beds.

very opulent and staff were friendly and helpful. room was fantastic and bed comfortable. Aircon was relatively quiet which was a bonus. Left the do not clean room sign out and they actually kept to it (which I found unusual in Canada as normally ignored) so my wishes were observed. didnt have breakfast but got a coffee and juice to drink in the gorgeous lobby lounge and this was good. Bar area vibrant but not noisy. Pre booked at the QI hair salon and this was great and value for money. would definately stay here again

Amazing location! The hotel was lovely. The reception staff were attentive and resolved the issue with the air con quickly. The rooms were well appointed. Nice toiletries and a mini fridge, along with huge TV! We didn't have time to try out the spa. The food in The Consort bar was really good and the little coffee shop attached to the hotel serving coffee and pastries, was great for breakfast on the go. NB The Consort bar does get busy and with it loud! 20 mims to the CN Tower and 15 mins to Union Station and lots of places to eat in the Financial district. Week days before 9.00am, the streets are busy but it settles after that.

Loved that this property had bell hops on stand by at the front desk. VERY CLEAN. Huge rooms and bathrooms.

The room was a good size, AC worked well which is important given it is a hot summer and the room was clean and also quiet as I requested, I could hardly tell if there was anyone else on my floor.

Perhaps an extra railing in the bathroom will be nice for long staying guests to dry/hang their personal effects.

Everything, the cozy bar, the Victoria area where we ate breakfast to the massage place upstairs. It was great as well as the Premier room which was roomy, clean and just superb!

The staff received a satisfactory because most of the staff was really great and my wife and I appreciate all of them. There was just one point where my wife and I was a little upset. We were trying to exchange money. Yes, I know that it's not the best rate. We were only permitted to exchange $30 U.S. dollars to Canadien dollars on one occasion. We asked again the next day and they said they had no money at all to exchange.

The room layout was horrible. Barely any space behind the sink counter, TV was far away from the bed, water handle was slipping, WiFi didn’t work. You would find much nicer rooms elsewhere. I’ve been to numerous Omni locations, and this room was an outlier in how bad it was. I’ve never stayed in a room that was as poorly designed as this one. When bring in up how uncomfortable this was to staff, the only reconciliation was free parking, but we didn’t even bring a car to park. Moving to another room would be a hassle given our short stay.

Well situated in town, within walking distance of anything you could want. Beautifully appointed and stupidly comfortable. The service was excellent and the food was faultless.

The rooms felt so icky. The carpets were not cleaned and had so many stains on them. Also, there were bottle caps and trash under the couch and the bed mattress was soiled with brown spots. I would not come here again.

All staff were very pleasant and courteous. Decor was tasteful and everywhere was clean. Our room was an excellent size. We visited during the World Cup football finals and it was interesting having so many police and security people in the hotel. We think that this was due to the Croatian national side also being in residence.

Everything intrinsic to the hotel was perfect. Unfortunately on the street it was evident that drug users were around.

Charming hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto. Location was excellent and we walked everywhere. Rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. The spa was top notch. We had a great stay. Highly recommended

Very comfy large beds. Spacious bathroom. Seating area and TV with streaming. Excellent food in bar and cafe. Quick lifts. Air con in 1st room wasn't working so moved after one night - room wasn't as spacious but air con worked. Nespresso machine in room. Lobby is very impressive.

See air con comment - 1st room didn't work at all. Fridge in room was eco one so not always on and one in our 1st room didn't work at all. Maintenance needs improving. Would be great if breakfast was included or at least at reduced cost for residents. Evening food served in bar with sports on TV, would be better in cafe without TVs.

I truly appreciated the location. The cafe had amazing food. The bar was such a great place to hang out and the bartenders were absolutely wonderful!

I noticed that for a 5 day stay, I was not given a room with a refrigerator nor an ironing board with iron for my clothing. It was very inconvenient to have to go all the way to M-mezzanine level just to get ice. I don’t understand how a luxury hotel does not have ice machines on every floor. That really is bizarre to me. Also, all staff were kind and welcoming, but that was only after they learned I was a guest of the hotel and then some of the demeanor changed. I was constantly asked if I was guest upon entry. At first, I thought it was because the Iraq football team were there. But even after they left and the security calmed down, I was still being asked if I was a guest of the property. I just literally started to just walk with key in hand so it would stop.
