Le côté secret de cette ancienne fabrique de chocolats.Derrière chaque porte , il y a une belle surprise ! Seulement 4 chambres , un restaurant avec patio à faire absolument.
Everything! An old converted chocolate factory with a simply astonishing and delightful built in accommodation ( 4 rooms only); just excellent all round. A fabulous restaurant downstairs and if you stay in the blue room (“ooh that’s interesting” said our host) you can go straight into the speakeasy bar with Nick, the most amiable host. The room was gorgeous and as for the $30k bed oh wow! I so want a Hastens bed at home…
The immediate local environment, full of drug addled people and quite dirty generally; an absolute sod to find if you are walking from the train station.
superb rooms !!! amazing ambience / breakfast delivered and great staff
* given only 4 rooms - i would have probably given every room a kettle + coffee machine rather than the communal * maybe have a little ramp to aid suitcases up front stairs?
A lovely tasteful boutique set-up with just a handful of rooms, helpful and friendly staff, and excellent breakfast.
Beautiful rooms and facilities in a boutique hotel …. Very special.
Female only pool and spa .
De accommodatie is zeer smaakvol ingericht, uitstekend bed en goede faciliteiten. De medewerkers maakten echter echt het verschil door hun vriendelijkheid!
The room was spacious and really lovely. Being able to have breakfast on the balcony over the courtyard was lovely but just know it’s directly across from an office that looks back.
I think the hotel facilities being women-only should have been more prominently advertised on booking.com. In the property details would be appropriate or as a caption in the photos of those facilities. I note we were messaged this by the hotel after booking (and as a reminder after it was too late to cancel). That said, we did book this hotel partly to be able to use the gym facilities during our stay so that was disappointing.
staff went out of their way to help . an oasis in busy Toronto
This property is truly a hidden gem! Large, beautifully appointed room, great bath salts, outstanding continental breakfast delivered to your room. We will be back! I highly recommend!
Fabulous people and amazing room! George was the bomb!
Our new favourite place for a couples weekend in TO. Tremendous experience.
Everything waa great. George was fantastic and not only checked us in, but also gave us a tour of the property and explained all the amenities and services. The room was comfy, very spacious and squeaky clean. It was a fantastic stay.
Lovely hotel with excellent service. Great rooms and amenities. George restaurant also excellent. Area surrounding hotel a bit rundown with many homeless people around. Not far to walk to get to main attractions such as Hockey Hall of Fame and CN tower
Excellent stay. Everything was perfect. The bathroom with large soaker tub was amazing to unwind. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast brought to our room was the best finishing touch on our stay.
Pure luxury! It's entirely worth booking for the Hästens bed alone. I will revisit!
I’m glad we chose the Ivy over other hotels in the area. It was a different experience from the usual, and I would come back.
Staff is great, rooms are roomy and clean. Love this hotel. It’s our first choice when we’re in Toronto.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Comfy bed and delightful breakfast tray in your room in the morning.
The Ivy at Verity was absolutely marvellous. From the check- in to when we left everybody was very helpful and pleasent. The room was very spacious and clean.
Room was gorgeous, staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast was amazing
The hotel itself is one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. But the location looks rough -- it is next to an abandoned parking lot and within walking distance to 2 small tent cities. The reception experience is also not on par with other 4star hotels: you need to be buzzed into the huilding to enter and then you carry your own bags up the steps and to the room (which involves more steps). There was an elevator but we needed a key to access it, and this was not offered to us when we checked in. The room though was gorgeous and luxurious, and we very much enjoyed the huge bathroom with massive tub and the nice balcony overlooking courtyard. My one complaint about the room is the abundance of 2400 lumens lighting -- this is great for relaxing but is impractical when trying to do your makeup in the evening for an event.
Even though it was only a 1 night stay we thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be booking again.
If they are having an event you are not attending you do NOT want to stay here! ONLY 4 ROOMS! When we stayed the music/drums were so loud for so long!!! Also, no access to the Atrium/patio because of the Private event. And, they have a pool for woman only!! The Concierge was TERRIBLE!! When asked to recommend a seafood restaurant he told us Toronto didn't have any. Lovely room, comfortable bed, overall experience AWFUL!! Unfortunately, we were there over Civic Holiday and the bar and the restuarant
Ivy at verity was amazing! Great staff, great property, such a beautiful hotel!! The surrounding area has a lot of drug use which makes you feel unsafe. But we were not appoarched by anyone and after a few days we felt okay with it.
Super pleasantly surprised. Loved the room, terrace, concierge, breakfast, access to George and late night cocktail bar. Quiet. Thank you 😊
Wonderful place to stay. Very nice boutique rooms (only 4) with lots of amenities offered for breakfast and beyond (attached to George restaurant). Guys will not be able to use spa and pool as it is a woman’s club but other than that, wonderful hotel.
The staff at Ivy was exceptional in every way! Friendly, helpful, accommodating… Our room was FABULOUS! The bed was divine! The bath with all the salts and scents were just what I needed. Loved Secrette! And Nick our mix master was great. Dinner at George’s was INCREDIBLE. my Halivut was the best I’ve ever had and Ilive in Alaska. The flavours were so amazing. This was a luxurious stay for us to end our 2 weeks in the e Maritimes and finishing up in Toronto
It was amazing, the hotel staff are very friendly. Very clean. Cozy hotel and very nice desing. All the paintings and the arts on the wall is carefully chosen. Highly recommend One issue weve had is to find the entrance to hotel. Unfortunately not that clear sign, it might because not what i expected or used to see.
Right from the onset, the hotel only impressed me and my partner! Firstly, the staff were kind, hands-on, and accommodating. Secondly, the hotel itself was clean, the amenities were great, and it was quiet. Lastly, we were always treated with respect and the care put into our stay went above and beyond (e.g., giving pain meds when I was having a bit of a health scare, providing us with toothpaste when we didn’t bring any, and so on). I will definitely be returning in the future once I visit Toronto again. Thank you!
Loved the stay & would go back in a heartbeat!
Obviously someone cared about every detail. The Appointments and condition of furnishings were elegant and functional. The rooms were quiet and the concierges were terribly accommodating. It really is a special place.
Quiet, clean, delicious breakfast tray, great patio, wonderful bathroom space. Perfect retreat, everything we could want - no need to go far if you don't want to. Loved it.
The room was beautifully decorated. We enjoy the size and quality of the king sized mattress. The bathroom was gorgeous, including a variety of bath salts. We only stayed overnight to enjoy a musical within walking distance so we did not use any of the amenities. There is no on-site parking so it will cost you up to $50. Unfortunately most Toronto Hotels have no parking. Room service was scheduled for 8 a.m. It came with croissants, a cinnamon roll, yogurt and granola and fruit. When we arrived we filled out a form for allergies and preferred choices. I requested to have almond milk for my tea as I am lactose intolerant. They forgot to provide it. We also said that we were lactose intolerant ans they gave us yogurt. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
The hotel room was divine. It was spacious, fabulously decorated and the bathtub was one of the poshest ones I have bathed in! The four boutique rooms have a spacious balcony each that looks out into a quiet courtyard. It was a luxurious experience. The breakfast delivered to my door was yummy and gigantic! Thank you for a memorable experience!
Best boutique hotel in Toronto. Great location. The best bed ever. Great staff.
This sweet hotel is in a former chocolate factory. It has only 4 rooms. The room was large with a balcony. The bed was the most comfortable and most expensive bed I have ever slept in. The location is fantastic. There are many fine restaurants in the area. We were not able to eat at their restaurant ..the George as it is closed on Sunday and Monday. The breakfast delivered to your room was fantastic. The hotel has great security.
The Ivy is a beautiful hidden gem. Our room was lovely and the bath was a mini-spa. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Rocky toilet, wall paper starting to peel, discolored ceiling and paint- property is lovely but should see some refreshing; regardless, still quite nice and very clean.
No parking on site, plan on hitting one of the green garages in the area.
Quite simply one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Lovely big room, fantastic bathroom, fabulous facilities and beautifully presented.
Beautiful rooms, love the space and layout or rooms and balcony. The front staff upon check in was super friendly, and the amenities were lovely. However the balcony and patio doors could be seen by all other people from the buildings surrounding (like people could see into our room - we didn't realize this until the next morning). The other thing was that even though we paid in full ahead of time (through Expedia) they went to charge us upon checkout and for a much lower price than we paid - which was supposed to be a better deal.
Beautiful, unique hotel in a central location. Friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time at The Ivy. Such a cool, quiet spot. This boutique was totally different than a hotel. Super clean, excellent staff and a great breakfast delivered to our door. Would give The Ivy a “12” on a scale of 1-10. Would definitely return!
This hotel is amazing in terms of comfort in the room. Beds are so comfortable, breakfast pastries lovely each morning which were delivered to our room. Centrally located with a lovely secret bar , we would definitely stay again.
Amazing all around. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!
I had stayed at the hotel last year and had a wonderful experience so came back with friends. We had another great experience. The breakfast was delicious. And the ability to make tea/coffee anytime was a big plus. The rooms were also lovely and spacious.
10/10 – Absolutely Amazing Stay! I had an incredible experience at this hotel. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The room was beautiful and the bed was unbelievably comfortable—I slept like a dream. Parking was super easy with a separate garage nearby, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a short, easy walk to the concert venue. The breakfast was outstanding, and the tub in the room was such a treat—perfect for unwinding. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place enough. 10 out of 10, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
So very beautiful and I love the female only amenities. Also the staff are so kind and helpful
From the moment we arrived, the service was spectacular. This was one of the best spots we've stayed in. The room is large and comfortable. The bed, well beyond spectacular. One of the best ever. The room is so quiet, and the balcony, its rare, and awesome. The food from the restaurant was magnificent. We spent a bit of time in the little secret lounge which was an awesome find. Oh, and the ice cream...to die for. Again, probably one of the best stays we've had. This is a jewel.

This was a unique and interesting place to stay and we had a great time. Loved our room. The continental breakfast left something to be desired for sure. It was presented nicely but the quality of most of the items was low.
Fantastic
This hotel is a gem! The room is essentially a studio apartment. The bathroom cannot be beat. Highly walkable area, amazing restaurant in the lower part of the building. The icing on the cake is that breakfast is delivered to the door each morning and includes fresh, homemade pastries. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
The Ivy was a lovely place to stay. It has 4 rooms that are just what you want in a hotel room. Tucked away with a Michelin star restaurant. Walkable to theaters. Fairly easy parking. You’ll have to walk for a wee bit from parking to hotel. The balcony/terrace was fabulous. I will hopefully stay longer next time.
The hotel was perfect, the only complaint we have is the parking lot that the hotel receptionist recommended to us, at her suggestion we moved the vehicle from an uncovered parking lot to a covered one because she suggested it and she indicated that it was safe, when we arrived at the parking lot in the morning the receptionist informed us that someone had entered the vehicle during the night and when we checked we realized that several things and money had been stolen, the only thing that seemed strange to us was that the receptionist asked us for the vehicle's license plate number. We will report this to the police
Staff are so friendly and helpful. 5 star service. Hotel is a great boutique find and would not hesitate to stay again. Area is a little sketchy but only for a block or so. Didn’t feel unsafe but uncomfortable at times after dark.
The location was great for us. We took the train from Windsor (via Detroit) to Union Station and took in a concert at Massey Hall, all within a short distance of one another. My wife loved the big shower and the bathtub. The continental breakfast was fabulous!.
We were not fans of the down pillows or the down comforter. We would have preferred sturdier pillows and a blanket alternative instead of the heavy comforter.
Love this hotel! Its beautiful and restful and so lovely.
Incredible place. Beautiful decor, amazing bathrooms, luscious bedding…love this place. Just four rooms, very quiet, highly recommended
An excellent, beautiful, luxurious hotel. Only four rooms. A real secret in downtown Toronto. Best beds you will ever sleep in. I could go on.
Heated bath room floor Particularly nice in winter
Discrete and private Spa like bathrooms Incredibly comfy beds
my second stay at Ivy at Verity was just a perfect as the first. the linens are top notch, bathrooms are spacious, all design elements are of world class design. gorgeoys fabrics, lighting , and the breakfast tray is simply delicious! lovely women’s spa and plenty of common spaces to read or have a cozy drink. PLUS … there is the secret bar upstairs !!! shhhhh!
The Hotel was a former chocolate factory. Today, the rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped. We very much liked the friendly staff and the adjacent „Speakeasy“ cocktail bar. A great restaurant is nearby as well. We can highly recommend the place.
Very big and comfortable room, bed and bath. Suitable for couples. Breakfast is good. Location is quite a walk from the train station.
Beautiful and unique hotel! Spa was delightful! I wish that the speakeasy had been open while we were there. You miss a lot with a Sunday arrival.
The rooms were spacious and the location was really good, close to public transport and bath salts were a nice touch
While the rooms were lovely for the cost the breakfast was really basic, some pastries, yoghurt and coffee/tea/juice. The staff were also a mixed bag in terms of experience not sure it’s worth the price tag
.
Everything was very good apart from breakfast, which was a bit disappointing. Fruit was past it’s best, orange juice was from carton and muffin was dry.
Thank you for the amazing welcome
Front desk service is good nut continental breakfast is served on a tray by staff placing at our room front door everyday Property is not hotel type setting. Location of the hotel is ok only
What a find! Luxurious rooms.
Fascinating and usual property. Georges restaurant is incredible!! My only wish is some food and drink services on Sunday and Monday. Just a self serve bottle of wine and some self serve food would be fine. Again very interesting property. Have to see it to understand.
Property was beautiful. Bathroom area was large with nice facilities.
Great staff and a wonderful room. Decent location for downtown Toronto
Boutique hotel is absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend.
Amazing! A hidden gem. This is going to be our go to place in TO!
Lovely oasis downtown, close to great restaurants
The front desk representative carried my bags up the steps, which I appreciated. She also set up reservations at their restaurant, George, though it was getting close to their closing of reservations. The food and service were excellent!
The rooms are beautifully decorated with the spa-inspired bathroom. Staff are warm and welcoming.
Great place 👌
A lovely hotel. The room was huge. The patio was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle. The bed was super comfy. I enjoyed a long soak in the luxurious bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very gracious and hospitable. We’ll be back.
Absolutely beautiful hotel and terrific service
Very unique place. Rooms were incredible. Spacious, bed was very comfy. Speakeasy was cool and the breakfast was a nice bonus
I can’t say how wonderful the hotel is! We stay there every time we come to Toronto and don’t even consider somewhere else!
The Ivy is a beautiful place with gorgeous amenities. It has 4 rooms for rent with more frills than we needed for our one-night stay. Nice balcony overlooking a lovely courtyard. Nice light breakfast served in room. The George restaurant was too pricey for us. The attached Sweetgrass spa/pool is women only. The staff was pleasant. It was difficult to find staff in person later at night and at checkout. The building is like a maze (we took an elevator down, ended up in the security office, could not go back up in elevator, could not get out the security door until security arrived. Also some difficulty pushing the sticky George door open (suggested for use by residents). We were challenged with directions to get the TV working. This is an upscale boutique hotel located in a not-upscale neighborhood. Sadly we encountered homeless people sleeping and begging for money in front of hotel.
We found our stay was very different and enjoyable when compared to past experiences staying larger properties in the area.
Clean, tidy and spacious
Nothing
very special 4 room hotel. wonderful room. the bathroom in particular is awesome, big tub with bath salts, great shower, heated floor. big amazing bed. everything was great except the TV. it doesn't have anything you can access. nothing! they say its the connection!?!
Amazing!
Beautiful rooms and service - gem in the heart of Toronto.
Very enjoyable and comfortable room. Breakfast was a nice touch.
The breakfast was delicious. The pastries were fresh baked and divine.
The pool was down for maintenance. I wish they had told us before.
