We absolutely loved our stay here. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the hotel had a beautiful atmosphere, and the location was perfect for exploring San Francisco. Everything felt easy and welcoming!

Excellent location. Rooms were comfortable and spacious for a vintage hotel. Post street restaurant and bar was a highlight, the staff were very attentive. I The Starlite rooftop lounge is a must see venue.

The property is fine

I found it quite dirty, our room was not cleaned multiple days during our stay. We stayed in a suite and it definitely looks much larger in the photos. There is a mini couch giving illusion of more space. We stayed for 5 nights so definitely wanted some more room but alas.

The staff was exceptional. The room was really nice and open and airy and handsome. The beds were comfortable.

I truly loved the stay except the shower was one of those wide rain shower types and it was soooo hard to get it through my hair. The pressure was just too spread out. Kind of wrecked my morning shower. Also, the location seemed good at first, but we could not get a trolley to stop for us at that location. They were all full. We had to walk up and down hills to get to a better trolley area. Even the stops nearby on the walk toward the water also had full trolleys. Not the hotel’s fault, but does speak to the location at least in part.

The location and how beautiful and stunning the hotel and decor is, we love all the original features. A host at the restaurant showed us round all the beautiful rooms (didn’t catch his name but he has worked there for 16 years)

The hotel was lovely and glamorous downstairs, and the bar and restaurant were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the hotel let itself down when it came to the rooms. We were particularly disappointed by the lack of sound insulation from the bedroom windows. It genuinely felt as though we were sleeping outside, with construction work, car horns and banging audible at all hours. For a hotel of this standard, and with modern double glazing, I would have expected much better sound insulation. Until this issue is addressed, I would strongly recommend requesting a room towards the inside of the hotel, away from the road, to avoid the noise.

Our experience at the hotel was made exceptional thanks to Jojit. He was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive to all of our needs. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well accommodated. Outstanding hospitality!

The central location puts us within walking distance of Chinatown, Little Italy, and the Ferry Building, or you can hop on a trolley or take a rideshare. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel's classic feel reminds us of New York City, which is a nice experience without the 2,500-mile trip. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and up to date - Great value in our opinion. The beds are comfy and gave us some of the best sleep we've had while traveling. The value for a stay is appropriate, given the proximity to so many landmarks and experiences. The staff is superb and welcoming. Everyone from the front office, the bar near the lobby, and the Starlight Lounge has gone above and beyond to provide the atmosphere we now call our home away from home whenever we're in the city. During San Francisco's rainy season, the amenities are a great way to enjoy indoor time. Good luck. Our overall experience is what keeps us coming back at least twice a year.

The hotel has charm, but the food was very mediocre. It’s a nice place to stay once, but lacks a real reason to stay there again.

I loved the atmosphere and the rich style of the building. Perfect position to visit the city. We enjoyed the internal restaurant a very plesant place with a vribran atmosphere.

In the commun area it was too cold due to the air conditioning. As it was chilly also autside...I would rather to have a worm temperature inside.

A lovely hotel with everything you need: great location, good food, comfortable/clean rooms, terrific service. I stay here every month for work and I look forward to it.

Lovely place, middle of city centre, plenty restaurants and shops in neighborhood. Famous tram stops almost in front of door. Populaire rooftopbar. Allowed me to get in one of our rooms to get changed after arrival. Had drinks in great bar. Would recommend

We loved the food and the drinks! Everything was so thoughtfully curated and showed attention to detail. The grandeur of the ambiance made my soul happy, I just loved the crown moldings and chandeliers everywhere!! The modular velvet couches and antique mirrors lining the walls create an elevated lobby with the most grand staircase entrance!! I just loved the architecture!

Our room felt very small, there was no fan in the bathroom to keep things ventilated which seemed odd, and there was literally no counter space to set things down while getting ready. The closet space was laughable but there was quite a bit of work space at the desk they provided so maybe this room was just better suited for a solo executive than a couple.

Hotel is grand and nicely maintained. Appreciated some of the soft updates. Charging ports and wall outlets do need to be updated as it was hard to maintain phone charge. Staff is very nice and Grettel was a superstar, Wali was helpful. Cleaning, engineering and front office and guest services were friendly and attentive. Location is excellent and the old world charm of the hotel and Starlite was nice to see. Thank you!

Odamızın hazır olmadığını hazırlandığında sizi bilgi veririz dedi. 3te geldiğimizde sorduk ve odamızın hazır olsuğunu söyledi. Bana bilgi verilmesini istememe rağmen ben otele gelmesem haberim olmayacaktı odanın hazır olduğu.

We had a great stay at the Beacon Grand Hotel in San Francisco! Jojit was extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Alex was also great and helped bring all of our belongings up to our room, which we really appreciated. Both of them provided excellent customer service and made our experience even better. Die Zimmer sind klein aber komfortabel, sehr schönes charmantes Hotel. Super Lage. Aufmerksame Mitarbeiter in der Lobby und am Empfang.

Die Bar im oberen Stockwerk hat zwar einen tollen Ausblick, allerdings sind die Mitarbeiter an der Bar nicht gerade aufmerksam, eher sehr arrogant. Negatives Erlebnis!

To stay in such a prestigous building with amazing helpful and easy to find staff at an affordable rate is just amazing. I would never stay anywhere else in San Francisco. The vintage details like the "Westinghouse" logo on the elevators, chandelers, decorated cielings - it's an attraction in itself. On the last day they had an amazingly efficient luggage storage option which was 10/10 and it only took less than a minute to get our bags on the way to the airport.

We loved the atmosphere of the hotel. It was both upscale and relaxing. Leif, one of the manager's, was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The Library was a nicely appointed room for a small post-wedding dinner and the staff was attentive. We really enjoyed our stay at the Beacon Grand.

The location is prime, the atmosphere is elegant and historic, and my room was super cute - on a corner with an incredible view on two sides. It was sort of pricey, but you get what you pay for. Finally, the service was stellar. From the front desk at check-in to the staff at the restaurant, they made me feel valued and appreciated.

Absolutely beautiful place, great restaurant and a great location for a stay in San Francisco. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is in the center of town and close to all the high end shopping. Public transportation was always available. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The facilities were clean.

The bathroom was small. There wasnt enough room to leave personal care items in there. The shower had low water pressure as well as not enough space. Water would be all over the floor just from taking a shower. The noise level from outside was more than expected. We could hear trolly cars, beeping horns,etc well until after midnight, and work being done outside our window in the early a.m. In addition, we heard guests at the rooftop bar, as well as in the hallways and in their rooms.

The location.

They had put us in a room that had leakage in the shower. I called front desk to inform they just ask to give them time to clean up. I have a photo of the bathroom if you require it.

The location is directly in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly, especially housekeeping.

Noisy. Besides it being in the city and being able to hear the noise of the city at night, there was some type of scaffolding a floor below our room. Workers started early in the a.m. like 5 or 6! At night, we could hear other guests at the roof top bar area and in the hallway I had to buy ear plugs to sleep. Small bathroom but to be expected for an older building.

The hotel staff was amazing! The valets and bellhops specifically. I loved the view out our room on the 15th floor of the downtown area. The beds were very comfortable and the temperature controls worked perfectly. The hotel decor was beautiful well kept. We felt safe the entire time having to have a room key to leave the lobby level.

The two queen room we had was VERY small. There was next to no room to move around which is problematic when there for three days. The bathroom was nice but again very small. There was no curtain or sliding door on the shower (fancy but not practical) so we ended up with water everywhere. The restaurant had good (not exceptional) food but the staff was uptight and the food/drink extremely overpriced. I have never paid $8 for a can of Coca Cola before.

Not worth it. The "Grand King Room" was small, cramped, and everything felt dated. So small that you can't open the room door if the bathroom door is closed! Stayed for three nights and received no housekeeping visit until I finally complained on the evening of the third day. There are better options in SF.

Weinig faciliteiten voor die prijs. Beetje “ware and tare” in de gangen. Veel geluidsoverlast van straat en gang. (Oordoppen zijn bijna een must)

The rooms are well designed, and feel high end. The beds are really comfortable and the toiletries are nice. The public areas are beautiful - the lobby, the bar - and they make a good cocktail. The staff are friendly and helpful.

While the hotel was nicely renovated and decorated, it doesn't feel like it's been maintained consistently. The toilet in our room was broken, constantly pushing water up into the bowl. Every time we showered the floor flooded. Also, none of the toiletries (soap, lotion) were replaced during the daily cleanings. Worth noting, our original room was a street view near the elevators, and it was so loud from both sides. We could hear every ding of the elevator and every shout from the bar across the street. Definitely request an interior room if you want a quiet night. It's crazy that they wouldn't soundproof windows in a busy area like that.

Nice hotel, looks a little more grand than it is though, a bit dated and musty in communal areas. Great bar with fabulous views on the top floor.

The food at resturant was bland

Leif Adams, customer Relationship Manager, runs a great hotel program. Staff are well trained and focused on your satisfaction. From the front door with Trey, to Bree's at the front desk and Feng the housekeeper you are treated special. Jason runs the restaurant with a great team. William and Mary in the morning for breakfast make sure you are well fed. Aston in the evening makes you a special treat. What this all means is that the owners care and have invested $40 M in this facility and its run correctly. Enjoy your time in SF at the right spot.

Not as clean as it looks on first sight but as parts of the hotel are old. The room was lovely and clean though.

Lovely hotel very close to Union Square. Lobby bar a little pricey but lovely area to sit and have a drink. Approx 25 min walk to Fishermans Wharf. Good sized room with excellent air con. Bathroom a little small.

The decor was so beautiful, so historic, the architecture was much appreciated. and the location was unbeatable. The entire staff was amazing, from the doorman and security teams, front desk, and very friendly, and helpful when we needed assistance. The restaurant was on point with slider burgers and appetizers!

Classy and vintage

There was a lot of noise from big machines in the middle of the night. It was hard to sleep. The hot water in the shower was not hot enough. The room was very small. There was no counter in the bathroom, and it was very small. There was a big stain on the ceiling in the lobby. It was a beautiful ceiling and it was ruined by the big stain. Room service didn’t even come with glasses of water. Just the food and that was it. No ice machine.

The hotel is beautiful with a feeling of grandeur. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to the bart line/ train station and also the cable car stop. Lots of lovely restaurants and bars close by.

Bathroom is exceptionally small. Very little room to move about. Not much space for toiletries etc. As we were only staying 2 nights we didn't mind too much but it would have been very frustrating for a longer stay. Two holes in the bathroom ceiling leaked water when we showered. We figured out that it was old piping that hadn't been sealed off.

Hotel is beautiful with many gorgeous architectural features and classic design. Our room was very comfy, not huge but not cramped, nice view, bathroom was compact but met our needs. Love the location and staff were all so friendly!

Less expensive parking

Excellent location, extremely friendly staff, especially helpful concierge who even remembered important details about guests’ needs! Beautiful, charming space, delicious breakfast, and an amazing legacy Starlite lounge on the top!

It would have been helpful to have additional lighting in the entryway since that is the only mirror outside the bathroom. Rooms are small and the bathroom barn door and partial glass shower door were odd choices, given neither fully enclosed their respective spaces. For such a luxury, legacy hotel it was surprising that there weren’t more amenities like guest bathrobes and slippers, envelopes for tipping cleaning staff, and more bathroom items.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön, vor allem die Lobby und der Bar- bzw. Restaurantbereich. Es fehlt an nichts... Es sind genügend Aufzüge vorhanden, sodass man nie lange warten muss. Die Holzfussböden und die schöne Einrichtung lassen die Zimmer sehr hochwertig erscheinen, nur das Bad ist etwas klein.

Das Valet-Parking mit ca. 80 USD/ Tag erschien uns ziemlich viel, sodass wir ein öffentliches Parkhaus gewählt haben, was auch ziemlich teuer ist (ca. 45 USD für 24 h).

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It exceeded all of our expectations. The staff was always pleasant and helpful whenever we asked questions. I would most definitely stay here again.

The room was very small. The window overlooked the courtyard where there was garbage and it was not nice. The overall impression was not pleasant because of the size of the room.

I stayed at the Beacon Grand for 21 days and the service was excellent. Front desk, hospitality, housekeeping and the bartenders in the Post room exceptional. I can't rave enough about this hotel.
