Palihotel San Francisco

Essa foi a segunda vez que fiquei nesse hotel, gosto muito da localização e dos funcionários que são muito gentis.

Infelizmente nos deixaram em um quarto muito, muito pequeno, estava somente eu e meu marido, porém nem sequer uma mesinha havia para apoio das nossas coisas ou para poder comer algo.

Great location!

Beds were a bit uncomfortable, but the rooms were so nice!

Property was modern, clean, central, staff were lovely and we got a complimentary upgrade.

It is quite load.

Location is great. Staff was excellent and friendly. Like the old SF feel of the place. Nice bar on 2nd floor.

AC didn’t work even after maintenance tried to fix it. No discount was offered, staff didn’t seem to care. We ate one small pack of chips from the mini bar and were charged for several items. Can’t get ahold of the hotel now. We chose this bc we stayed at Palihotel in San Diego and really liked it. This was disappointing. I would stay in SD again but not SF

Bar Maritime was a great bar, especially on weekends, when local bands would play on stage. The drinks and food were also very tasty and reasonably priced.

One thing that could be provided would be complimentary water for hotel guests in their rooms. Additionally, the location is quite loud in the morning, but the hotel does provide earplugs.

The staff was nice to recommend us some restaurants around the hotel and answered all our questions. The room and bathroom were clean. The location is pretty good, i felt safe around the hotel. Overall great for the price.

I think the windows in the room can't be opened, at leadt we couldn't.

Near to China town and little Italy. Comfy bed, clean rooms and well-welcoming staff. Overall, a great stay!

Me hospedé dos noches, el primer día no me hicieron la habitación y el segundo la hicieron mal. Aunque el hotel es muy bonito la habitacion no estaba muy limpia había una cucaracha en la nevera del minibar que también estaba sucia con pelos.

Der kleine Teppich im Bad ist seltsam und wirkt im Bad irgendwie unhygienisch.

Cute boutique hotel.

We enjoyed our three-day city trip and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are nice, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy at night. We were disappointed that reception did not respond to our calls or emails. It would be nice if guests could rely on the reception being reachable when the guests have questions.

Strange location. Hard to find, difficult to get to, too many homeless near hotel. I was asked if I wanted daily service. I said yes. I stayed 4 days and did not get a bed made, no fresh towels, no toilet paper, coffee cups, sugar replenished.

El alojamiento es acojedor y muy limpio, el personal es amable y las instalaciones modernas. En cuanto a ubicación se puede decir que está en el centro de San Francisco, aunque el centro es una zona que está fatal y donde me sentí bastante insegura.

Aunque es céntrico no me ha gustado la zona, por la noche no se puede salir y por el día tienes que tener mucho cuidado. Tampoco me parece bien que te cobren 150$ por dejar el coche tres noches en un parking, teniendo en cuenta que el centro de san francisco está muy mal en cuanto a criminalidad y drogas. La habitación es pequeña aunque para dos está bien, pero la pica del baño es minuscula, no te puedes ni lavar la cara.

el cuarto bastante comodo, está bien ubicado, y en tema de calidad precio está bastante bien.

no me gustó que vendan todas las amenities, y sobretodo tan caras. la calle quizas puede ser medio fea en la noche, sobre todo porque en una esquina de esa cuadra, es bastante oscuro cerca al puente y caminar por ahi es bastante desagrable, pero para evitar ese es caminar siempre por el sentido contrario y no hay inconvenientes.

Crystal was one of the best agents I’ve ever experienced. It had been a while since I had not seen a resourceful, kind and professional worker. Very grateful and pleasant stay thanks to her customer service.

Location

We got a queen bed room when we requested a king bed. We traveled a long day 9+ hours and even after confirming king room we got a queen room.

Staff was rude. They charged me extra for one extra day even though I requested a late checkout.

The bar was closed at odd times and the staff did not seem to know anything about the bar hours, as if the bar and hotel were entirely separate. That may have been the case, but it would seem like front of house hotel staff should have the basic info, like if the bar is open or not.

The room smelled like sewage, the bed didn’t have a comforter on, it only a sheet and an optional blanket

The washroom door hinge was already broken and we informed the cleaning guy and reception lady, still didn’t return our deposit. They told us before that we didn’t need to change our rooms as we extended our stay, and called us back evening to change rooms or housekeeping will move your stuff they said . So we came back and moved our stuff and ruined our evening. And then their washroom door hinge lock was broken already and we informed them. They said that’s fine then. But now I checked they didn’t even return 100 dollars damage deposit for the damage we didn’t even do. Despite that hassle of switching rooms we didn’t say a word. But that’s not fair.

Super Zentral gelegen, alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Tolles altes Gebäude, man taucht ein bisschen in die 1930 Jahre ein.

Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war eine Katastrophe, man wurde kaum nass.

Front staff were lovely and the room was large and comfortable!

Unfortunately just in a very loud part of the city - was woken most mornings by rubbish trucks. There is really a lack of facilities as well, no gym or lounge area to work from. Good for a basic stay!

I was absolutely delighted with this hotel in San Francisco! It has an amazing location, just a short walk from all the major attractions I wanted to see. The hotel has a warm and cozy atmosphere. I especially want to thank the staff, and in particular, Crystal — she was incredibly kind, attentive, and made my stay truly comfortable. I will definitely come back here on my next visit!

Personale poco reattivo alla reception. Mezz’ora per il check-in. Richiesto chiaramente un conto unico e invece ci hanno scalato le 4 camere da 4 carte diverse. Bagno nella “hall” chiuso e non utilizzabile

Great location and well appointed room. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The air conditioning struggled to do much. The room was hotter than it was outside and it was not possible to open any of the windows for natural air.

I love this place!!!!!!!!! Ohshun, the front desk guy, is so welcoming, I always look forward to his wonderful smile and greeting, each time I stay here. This is my home away from home.

The elevator takes like 5 business days to get down and up. And it’s the only one. It’s one of the only long standing elevators in SF that function in the way they do, so there was some understanding but also dislike

I liked the idea that it is in the heart of union square. Everything is walking distance. Bar and restaurant inside the hotel! Shoutout to the bartender super friendly gentleman and makes some good drinks.

I did not like the A/C was running the whole night. No remote control. You can easily hear people walking by and talking next door. The stairs from floors 2-6 are very squeaky, makes a lot of noise when you walk. Traffic is crazy loud at certain points of time.

We got stuck in an old elevator and eventually were let out.

It was clean.

The location was near the tunnel and under bridge so lot of homeless people were outside the hotel and at night it didnt felt safe outside the hotel. The elevator was very old. The water pressure was very low, for reference we stayed on 7th floor. There was no phone for calling reception or anything. There were very less charging outlets.

The cutest hotel I’ve stayed at in a while!! Vintage vibes! The decor is so nice! The restaurant bar on the second floor is a must!! Location is great too!! Close to Chinatown! I highly recommend this place! 10/10

Building is old, elevator is old the window in our room is broken.

Our room faced straight onto a back alley, so it was very dark and extremely loud. There was noise from what sounded like a trash truck dumping out bags of glass bottles over and over in the middle of the night and early in the morning. There were also people shouting in the alley at all hours. We noticed the noise issue immediately after checking in and asked to change rooms, but were told there were no other rooms available. We specified at check in that we’d like house keeping during our stay, but after being out of the room all day we returned at night to find our room had not been cleaned. The toilet in our room also didn’t flush correctly and the sink didn’t drain correctly and would get close to overflowing every time it was turned on. Overall, the hotel felt dark and dingy and the service wasn’t particularly welcoming or friendly. It was bearable for two nights, but there are definitely better options.

The location was perfect. The staff is friendly.

There was a weird smell in the corridors, and the walls are so thin you can hear pretty much every conversation next door. Also, there are no USB-C ports in the rooms. I get that the building is old, but it’s 2026, they should’ve updated something as basic as that.

The location is a historic building and due to this, and the location near a tunnel, is VERY noisy. Ear plugs are provided but you may also need noise canceling headphones.

I had a wonderful experience the moment I entered the lobby; everyone was so professional and friendly. I love all the little details the hotel provides. It’s in a great location, close to landmarks, food and the magic of San Francisco! The room was so lovely, it reminded me of Paris; the decor and the comfort of a quality hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, diptyque product chefs kiss 😘. I want to shout out Crystal at the front desk, she was so sweet and kind. Her energy was contagious, she was so helpful and was able to help us with any of our questions. She really is the face of palihotel, she is the first person you see and her actions were of the highest quality. She helped on the way out with luggage and made the stay wonderful. My friend felt the same way, she’s looking forward to coming back with her family. Thank you Crystal, you’re a stellar and special part of the PALIHOTEL! Looking forward to my next stay!

Slow elevator!

The bathroom design was kind of interesting.

Room was dark, not very clean, with hair from previous guests on the bathroom floor. The toilet clogged and overflew with a regular use on the first time and there was no phone to call reception. No breakfast, no gym.

The resturant and bar on the property is amazing! Very drinks and food.

Housekeeping. Even if you request it sometimes it still doesn’t happen.

Convenient, central location. Spacious bathroom, but the room was incredibly cramped.

There was maybe a foot of space to walk between the foot of the bed and the wall of the bathroom/bathroom door. The elevator broke on our last night and we were on the 7th floor, that was a terrible inconvenience.

Location was good for first timers, even though the Market Street (really close) is not well-frequented.

The wifi didn't work well in the room. The room barely had natural light. Windows with no view, it felt like an interior room.

Surprise minibar charges after checkout. It wasn't clear that the bottled water on the side table was chargeable. This is complimentary in every hotel I've stayed in around the world. Was also billed for minibar item I didn't consume. Be careful, I would suggest taking photos of all minibar items as proof before checkout. Maybe even insist that staff check the room with you present.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Oshan was proactive et gave us everything we needed in a timely manner. The manager was also great, overall welcoming place and staff ! Superb decor and thoughtfully designed room. We stayed in a suite, which had a little coffee table, a couch, a breakfast nook and a big comfy bed. Everything was clean. Our room looked upon another buildings roof and the skyline of the city, lots of light in the morning and early afternoon going through the 3 windows. Super central location, in front of a bus stop and a 5-7 min walk away from the subway station. Surroundings were a lot of other hotels and high rises but there was also a bunch of coffee shops, breakfast place and even grocery stores neerby. We took an uber in from the airport and travelled with public transit during our stay. Walking distance from Chinatown. Since it’s in the heart of the city, it can get quite loud (traffic, trucks, other ACs and stuff) - but manageable for us, especially since the hotel provided ear plugs. The windows in our room did not open, so we took advantage of the central air system. This was also along the cheapest options for us - and we really value design, decor and comfort, so we were really pleased with our stay. Would recommend and definitely go back !
