Hotel Eden Palace au Lac

Wir wurden im Hôtel Eden Palace au Lac in Montreux sehr freundlich empfangen und durften unsere E-Bikes in einem Gepäckraum unterstellen, wo sie sicher aufgehoben waren. Besonders toll fanden wir, dass wir direkt über die Strasse zum See gehen konnten, um zu baden. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Zwar hat das Hotel eine etwas gehobene Preisklasse – so haben wir für ein Frappé zehn Franken bezahlt und für einen normalen Drink fünfzehn Franken. Unser Hotelzimmer war wunderbar gelegen, mit einer herrlichen Aussicht und einem schönen Balkon, der zum Verweilen einlud.

Man sieht der Fassade und auch den Sonnenrollos zwar an, dass das Haus in die Jahre gekommen ist, doch das Zimmer selbst war sehr sauber und gepflegt eingerichtet. Die Möbel mögen etwas älter sein, wurden aber sehr gut in Schuss gehalten.

Wunderschöne Lage direkt beim See, zentral und gut zu Fuss vom Bahnhof erreichbar. Charmantes Ambiente, jedoch auch sichtbar etwas in die Jahre gekommene Substanz. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, besonders beim Empfang.

Das Frühstück, welches wir uns aufs Zimmer bringen liessen, war etwas enttäuschend. Abgepackter Industrie-Käse aus Frankreich in einem Schweizer 4* Betrieb passt überhaupt nicht zusammen. Eine Möglichkeit am Morgen (nur) Kaffee auf dem Zimmer zu erhalten oder selbst zu machen (Kapselmaschine) ist in dieser Preisklasse eigentlich standard. Hat hier gefehlt.

Neu renoviertes Zimmer, Lage ausgezeichnet, Blick vom Zimmer auf den wunderschönen See.

Zentrale Lage, ruhiges Zimmer, Ambiente beim Frühstück war wunderschön. Toller Service mit zwei Gratisflaschen Wasser pro Tag, Kühlschrank vorhanden. Alles sehr praktisch.

Ein Barbereich auf der höher gelegenen Terrasse für Hotelgäste oder auch im sehr großen Eingangsbereich, Platz wäre genug. Wassertemperatur im Pool sehr kalt. WLAN war teilweise zu schwach in meinem Zimmer.

They dont want to change my room to a lake view they asked me to pay again for changes.

La posizione eccellente, la stessa cosa per quanto riguarda la colazione. Camera di tipologia standard, al di sopra delle aspettative.

È stato necessario passare la prima notte (compresa nel periodo della prenotazione) in un altro hotel. Siamo stati informati per tempo ma avrei gradito che l'hotel si fosse occupato del trasporto dei bagagli.

Die Lage direkt am See mit Zugang zur Uferpromenade ist einmalig und wunderschön. Der Service auf der Restaurant-Terrasse ist äusserst aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir mussten unseren Aufenthalt um 3 Tage verlängern - die Rezeption hat sich sehr bemüht und hat uns ein Zimmer mit freier Seesicht organisiert.

Nicht barrierefrei; die äußere Doppeltür ließ sich nicht schließen, da Schloß defekt; Duschhalterung defekt, weshalb Dusche nicht einstellbar war; kaum Personal, dass deutsch verstand.

Hotel is very well situated on the front of the lake. There are limited car parking spaces based on first come first served. The nearest public car park is less than 50 mtrs from the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and with a comfy bed. The bathroom was a little on the small side but suited our needs for a one night stay. Breakfast was ok with an adequate selection of choices. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

Le fait qu il n y ai pas de petit frigo ds la chambre pour mettre de l eau au frais.On ne savait pas qu il fallait le demander.

Nice lake view. Great air conditioning Unfortunately there was a rave on at the side of the hotel and we were placed in the rooms nearest to this! We did ask what time the loud music would stop and it did stop when we were told it would.

Die Klimaanlage war sehr alt und laut. Ausserdem hat sie kaum gekühlt. Es standen keine Parkplätze vom Hotel zur Verfügung. Die einzige Möglichkeit, das Auto während eines ganzen Tages stehen zu lassen ist entsprechend ein Parkaus, welches zw. 45-50 CHF pro Tag kostet.

Ein sehr in die Jahre gekommenes Haus. Frühstück war gut ebenso die Hotellage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich

Het hotel maakt een beetje een gedateerde indruk. Het is schoon, maar oud. De badkamer is erg gedateerd. De kamer heeft geen standaard airco, hiervoor is een tijdelijke oplossing bedacht, maar deze airco maakt veel geluid. Het hotel heeft beperkte eigen parkeerplaatsen. Het zwembad is klein en koud.

Hotellet är slitet. En gång i tiden fanns säkert charmen och flärden, men idag är det bara ett slitet hotell. Vårt rum hade inte ventilation så det var helt sjukt varmt på rummet.

Druhý den pobytu od 6hod.rano ohromný hluk z vedlejšího hotelu kde připravovali venkovní party ohromný hluk celý den až do půlnoci kdy prováděli úklid, 2x jsem si stěžoval na recepci s tím, že budu požadovat kompenzaci, nedoplnovali ani mycí potřeby, vysoká cena za ubytování, která absolutně neodpovídá kvalitě

Les petits dejeuners .les produits sont un peu bas de gamme. Certains samedis il y a de la musique trés forte de midi à 20h qui provient de la piscine municipale à côté.C'est une vraie nuisance

Great location, grand hotel, clean spacious air conditioned room. Amazing views of the lake and the mountains. The added bonus of a lovely swimming pool.

For the room rate, I would have expected breakfast to be included. The pool area is at the opposite end to the restaurant and bar, which meant you had to go to the bar and order drinks, there was no service at the pool which would have been more relaxing.

Das Personal an der Reception ist perfekt. Im Service im Restaurant und in der Küche scheint je ein Chef zu fehlen. Das Servicepersonal ist besser zu instruieren, zu führen und zu überwachen. Es fehlt vorab an der Ausbildung, die notwendig und möglich wäre ohne allzu grossen Aufwand. Es ist möglich, dass eine Oberkellner activ war, der aber seiner Funktion überhaupt nicht gerecht wurde. Ein Kellner war ausgebildet und verstand seine Aufgabe. In der Küche werden die Mahlzeiten zu wenig kontrolliert vor dem Ausgang. Meine Vorspeise war gut, aber mit wenig Sorgfalt angerichtet. Der Hauptgang entspricht nicht dem **** Standard des Hotels. Die Pommes frites war zu wenig gebacken, die filets der perches möglicherweise nicht alle für meunière in der Bratpfanne. Der Gemüsespiess zwar sehr passend, aber mit nur geringer Sorgfalt präsentiert und teilweise wegen der Grösse noch nicht gar.

Das habe ich eben schon beschrieben, wobei ich unterstreiche, dass die Führung der beiden Gruppen fehlt, weil das Personal eigentlich freundlich wäre, aber seine Aufgabe nicht ganz versteht. Das ist sehr schade ****.

Best location on Lake Geneva. The hotel is impeccably maintained, and captures the timeless class and elegance of Montreux. The center of town/waterfront is steps away, but the hotel is tucked around a quiet corner of the Cycle Path with the best views of the lake and surrounding landscape. All staff members were genuinely happy to welcome us, and assist us throughout our stay; from a warm welcome at reception to the cafe, restaurant, and bar. Breakfast is served in a palatial ballroom with soaring ceilings, and a million dollar view. 1 week was not enough.
