Zimmer war 4h zu spät bereit. Wir sind gegen 14.00 Uhr angekommen und Check-In war ab 15.00 Uhr. Ins Zimmer konnten wir kurz nach 18.00 Uhr, doch es war noch immer nicht für 3 Personen bereit, so dass wir Tücher etc. organisieren mussten. Kurz nach 19.00 Uhr wurde das Zimmer dann fertiggemacht. Da zudem ein Lift defekt war, gab es ca. 15 Minuten Wartezeit für die Liftbenutzung.

You will feel teleported to early 80s: the place is in dire need of renovation, outside and inside. Elevators are super slow, parking has places designed for cars much smaller than today. WiFi was worst we experienced in years. It’s utterly useless if you need to work from there (we ended up using 5G hotspots).

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026We loved both the bar Purple Fish and the restaurant Safran. Great service and staff and food. Really great terraces on the lake. Shout out to Max the bartender. Our room (Mona Suite) had amazing views of the lake and mountains.
Basically the housekeeping kept forgetting to clean our room and when they did, they forgot little things like fresh towels, emptying the trash, fresh glasses etc. We felt like the room was clean but the details were not taken care of and for the rate of a luxury hotel, it was very disappointing.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Sehr schönes, geräumiges und großes Zimmer, in unserem Fall im siebten Stock mit Balkon und fantastischer Aussicht über den Genfersee. Besonderheit: ein Lautsprecher mit Bluetooth Möglichkeit wurde bereitgestellt, so dass man seine Musik über Lautsprecher hören konnte. In der Lobby gibt es tagsüber kostenfreien Kaffee und Mini Snacks.
Das Restaurant erschien uns etwas überteuert. Es gibt viele andere Möglichkeiten an der Promenade. Ausstattung des Zimmers sehr gut, aber auch streng im Stil. Zum Beispiel keine Bilder an der Wand.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026It is a wonderful hotel! The location right at the edge of the lake is perfect. The hotel is super clean, has wonderful window and balcony views, all services offered are perfect, breakfast is very tasty (except for scrambled eggs which is from powder instead of natural and I do not know why), all food ingredients are of high quality. Our room has been upgraded by the hotel as I was interested in higher-floor location, which is very much appreciated. It was another stay for us in this hotel related to our wedding anniversary and I ordered additional services/ welcome gifts and all was perfectly performed and delivered. Hotel has comfortable underground parking below the buildings. The Staff is very kind and helpful. Definitely we will stay again at the Mona Hotel when visiting Montreux next time. There is no better place to stay in Montreux.
Actually there could be a direct access to the water (lake) organized with some ladder for instance. Otherwise when you want to swim you need to walk 10 minutes to the place equipped with ladder. Especially that there is enough space for that in front of the dock with water sports equipment belonging to the hotel. Furthermore the running track was out of service during our stay in the fitness room and no one repaired it throughout the entire stay.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Die Damen und Herren an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich. Meine Anreise erfolgte bereits vor dem Mittag und ich konnte schon mein Auto in die Tiefgarage stellen. Mein Zimmer war in der obersten Etage mit einem schönen Ausblick. Frühstück und Abendessen waren gut.
Leider hat das Hotel keinen Pool.

Camera vecchia e piccola, numero 913 La camera era ubicata in un ala del building mal tenuta, sembrava una posizione a parte, ascensore vecchio, moquette del pianerottolo tagliata, no davvero , non mi sarei aspettata una camera così con il costo che abbiamo pagato. In camera nemmeno una bottiglietta d’acqua . Per il resto parcheggio, colazione , reception carino e simpatico .

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Die Lage direkt am See ist einfach super, und auch der Bahnhof ist ganz in der Nähe. Das Hotel überzeugt mit einem coolen, modernen Auftritt. Besonders toll sind die Restaurants mit Aussicht sowie das Sonnendeck mit Whirlpool. Besonders gelungen finde ich, wie aus dem alten Hotel etwas Modernes und Stylisches geschaffen wurde. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr umfangreich und lecker. Gratis Getränke/Kaffee aus der Minibar oder auf dem Sonnendeck ist auch ein plus.
Man merkt an einigen Stellen, dass es sich um ein älteres Hotel handelt: Balkon mit Betonbrüstung, das alte Badezimmer mit Dusche in der Badewanne dafür ein Bidet und die älteren Liftanlagen, die gelegentlich während der Fahrt stoppen, wirken nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäss. Zudem muss man die Koffer vom See her über Treppen bis zur Rezeption tragen. Leider war der Teppich in unserem Zimmer nass und es roch sehr unangenehm. Das Zimmer wurde dann nachgereinigt. Die tägliche Reinigung blieb jedoch oberflächlich. Die Betten waren sehr lieblos gemacht und zerknittert. Auch die Oberflächen waren noch fleckig und Bademäntel fehlten.

También me obsequiaron una mini torta de chocolate rellena que estaba espectacular. Hasta había una pava eléctrica con productos para desayunar básicamente infusiones y cafés, lo que le dió un excelente valor agregado! Puntuación general: 10/10.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026This was a great find for me and my parents! I was looking for a hotel close to the station to make things easier. I hadn’t heard about Mona before and took a chance and booked it. WOW!!! What a beautiful hotel, in an excellent location, wonderful staff, a delicious breakfast, a great vibe and lots of free treats!!
The WiFi in my room was a bit unstable.

Das Personal (Rezeption, Restaurant Safran) ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, bspw. hilft sogar nach dem Check-out die Koffer vor die Tür zu stellen. Die Zimmer sind freundlich und relativ groß mit einem komfortablen Bett und Minibar ausgestattet. Die Minibar (je 1 Fl. Vittel/Pelegrino, 1 Dose Warsteiner, 1Fl. Granini O-Saft) wird wie die Nespresso Kaffeemaschine täglich wieder aufgefüllt. Darüber hinaus liegen im Zimmer sonstige nützliche Dinge, wie Wäschebeutel, Schuhanzieher, Nähset, Bügelbrett/-Eisen etc., bereit. Von dem kleinen Balkon hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Genfer See.

Wifi funkade inte alls på rummet. Högljudd jazzmusik i foajén och manlig receptionist pratade mycket högt så det hördes långt bort i foajen. Hotellet hav ett slitet intryck. Trånga platser I parkeringsgaraget Lite högljudd luftkonditionering i rummet (fristående i rummet), som blåste ut värmen på balkongen så det inte gick att sitta där på grund av värmen.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Great location, spectacular view from the 15th floor, helpful staff, very clean and comfortable beds. And great A/C given the warm weather they were experiencing (80+ degrees Fahrenheit). It was wonderful to come back to a cool room to rest and recharge after a day out sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to make it back some day.
