Interiors were grand but tired. All areas need to be refurbished. Reception staff were great. Other staff did not appear to be too happy working there.

Convenient to train and bus and attractions. The young breakfast waiter is to be commended.

The bed was tooo hard and there were no light blankets to match the hot weather.

Towels were frayed and poor quality No lights in the garden at night, so when returning from evening out very dark Noise from trains, I know hotel cannot do anything but we would book a lake view room next time. Also signs at breakfast and in the bathroom requesting guests not to take items away or home....insulting.....not in good taste

الفندق قديم وريحة غبااار والسجاد وسخ و اعطونا مروحة فقط بسبب ان نوع الغرفة حقتنا بالمبنى القديم والحمدلله ماكان الجو حار لو حر مستحيل بتقدرون تجلسون فيه حتى تصميم الغرفة سيء وغير مريح ما اعيد التجربة رغم ان السعر عااالي

Im Zimmer mit Stadtblick fährt einem der Zug Sprichwörtlich durchs Zimmer-so etwas sollte erwähnt werden,wirklich sehr laut.Wir haben dann Ohrenstöpsel an der Rezeption erhalten. Personal zieht permanent ein unmotiviertes Gesicht-die Stimmung scheint nicht gut zu sein.Barkeeper sehr lustlos. Restaurant hatte am Samstag Abend geschlossen-keine Meldung.

L'accueil était formidable ,le personnel très souriant et aux petits soins !! Le repas au restaurant était succulent et le petit déjeuner dans la salle avec vue sur le lac varié et de qualité !

Bohatý výběr pokrmů ke snídani, káva sice na vyžádání u personálu, ale bleskově servírovaná, žádný problém:-) Překrásný výhled z balkónu na Lac Leman a Chillon, hotelová zahrada naprosto fantastická!

Nelze najít jediné negativum:-)

Zimmer Laut Beschrieb war das Zimmer Richtung Stadt, aber was nicht erwähnt wurde, ist, dass eine viel befahrene Eisenbahn nahe beim Hotel quasi auf Zimmerhöhe vorbei fuhr. Der Lärm war unerträglich. Leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Our choice of hotel for the classique Riviera atmosphere in Montreux when sourcing Suisse wines and delicatessen. A smooth stay, clean rooms with lake view and lakeside location, great breakfast, and very hospitable service. A bit off the main bustle, which makes the place very quiet, too.

Wie schon so oft hatten wir einen tollen Urlaub am schönen Genfer See in dem schönen Golf Hotel. Das Essen ist hervorragend und die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr nett und bemüht. Die Lage könnte besser nicht sein. Einfach wunderbar. Wir kommen wie immer wieder.

Wir hatten erst ein Superior Zimmer mit alten Matratze bekommen, welches wir aber nach Rücksprache wechseln konnten. Da dieses schöne historische Haus keine Klimaanlage hat, war die Hitebelastung Ende Juni schon fast unaushaltbar trotz bereitgestellter Ventilatoren. Bei hohen Temperaturen müssen wir leider eine Alternative suchen.

Zeer ruime kamer, gezellige ontbijtruimte en goed ontbijt, mooi terras en zeer mooie tuin. Gezellige bar

Zeer kleine badkamer, geen airco en met ramen open toch regelmatig last van voorbijrijdende treinen.

The hotel is truly 4 star unlike many with that rating. The room was spacious and they kindly upgraded us to a lake view on the 2nd floor. The staff are super professional and the waiting staff in particular were kind, courteous and attentive. We were half board for our 4 night stay and the evening meal was of good quality and plentiful, breakfast could be improved with a choice of freshly cooked eggs. We had a fan provided which certainly did the job. We were camping for a few nights on Lake Geneva after our stay but decided to cancel that and stay for longer at the hotel. The terrace for evening meals have a glorious view and the grounds just above the lake are very relaxing with a thirty second walk to dip your toes.The views and location are outstanding and would not hesitate in recommending the Golf Rene Capt.

It was all good, lakeside view definitely recommended and as I say breakfast could be improved possibly with a choice of eggs cooked for you

Besonders hat uns das schöne Zimmer mit Blick auf den See gefallen. Es war sehr ruhig und das Personal freundlich. Super für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Montreux, weil man zu Fuss in das Zentrum kommt!

Zimmer mit Balkon, Seesicht - top. Wir haben ein Upgrade erhalten - herzlichen Dank.

The location is fantastic. This is a nice old building with great views. The rooms are spacious. The bar is really nice, with great views and good drinks.

The hotel hallways and the bathrooms have a bit of an old-fashioned feel. There is no A/C... we knew it didn't have it, but it needs it so badly. Guests were staying with the doors open, and I saw someone in his underwear with his door wide open. Not the sight one wants to see.

Very good service, rooms very clean und great breakfast. Lovely little garden.

While we knew there was no A/C, the room was really hot. Cooling down the room during the night by opening the window was impossible. The window was right above the end of a train tunnel and one night there were even construction works on the train tracks. In order to be able to sleep we could only rely on a ventilator with closed windows. Very hot. Would not recommend staying in this room in summer.

Excelente localização, quarto com vista lago. Bom pequeno almoço e excelente serviço de restaurante. Pessoal muito simpático. frequência de hóspedes muito calma e tranquila.

É urgente a instalação de ar condicionado. O chuveiro tem muito pouca pressão.

Die Lage direkt am See und die Aussicht in den Zimmern mit Seeblick auf den See und die Berge ist sehr besonders. Das Abendessen und der Service beim Abendessen waren exzellent. Das Personal war insgesamt sehr freundlich und professionell. Die Zimmer im Haupthaus sind sehr schön und stilvoll.

Die Zimmer im Anbau müssten modernisiert werden. Es ist keine Klimaanlage vorhanden.

Sehr schöne Lage und toll ist auch dass die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel gratis dabei waren. Sehr schöner Garten mit Zugang zur Promenade.

Leider fehlt eine Klimaanlage im Sommer und Zimmer Richtung Straße sind sehr laut durch Zug.

Wir besuchen dieses Hotel zum zweiten Mal und sind nach wie vor begeistert. Besonders die Lage, die ruhige Atmosphäre, der wunderbare Garten und der direkte Seezugang haben es uns angetan. Auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas

Schade fanden wir, dass man den Kaffee nicht selbst holen bzw. zubereiten konnte. Auch das Servicepersonal wirkte wenig herzlich; ein Lächeln hätten wir sehr geschätzt.

Traumhaftes 3-Bett Apartment mit Blick auf den Genfer See. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß für 3 Personen, die Betten sehr bequem, das Badezimmer mit großer Dusche. Frühstück und Halbpension waren sehr gut in einem wunderschönen Saal und bei gutem Wetter auf der Terrasse. Rundum ein traumhafter, terrassenförmiger Garten mit Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Über ein Tor kommt man zum Seerundweg und wer mag kann dort auch schwimmen. Alles in allem, ein unvergesslicher Urlaub.

La chambre, vu sur lac avec balcon top, mais non climatisée, nous n'avons pas pu profiter du balcon, les chambres voisines avaient des fumeurs qui fumaient sur le balcon. L'odeur de cigarette arrivait jusque dans notre chambre matin, soir...... Chambre mal insonorisées.

Fantastisch uitzicht over het meer van Genève. Bedden lagen heerlijk. Ruime kamer.

De warmte in de kamers. Er is geen airco aanwezig. De badkamer van de kamer waar wij zaten was oud en aan renovatie toe. Het ontbijt vond ik tegenvallen. Veel herrie van het spoor waar het hotel langs ligt.

Hotel liegt, wunderschön am See Promenade! Sicht zu See nur wenn Zimmer zu diese Seite befinden.

Enttäuschendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Wir haben für zwei Nächte mit Halbpension rund CHF 800.– für zwei Personen bezahlt. Für diesen Preis hätten wir deutlich mehr Komfort erwartet. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön und ist architektonisch sehr schön. Leider sind die Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen. Der Teppich roch stark nach kaltem Rauch und Fussschweiss. Da auf den Balkonen geraucht wird und die Balkontüren oft offen stehen, zieht der Rauch in die Zimmer und setzt sich im Teppich fest. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass es bei Temperaturen von fast 30 °C weder eine Klimaanlage noch eine funktionierende Kühlung gab. Dadurch konnten wir während beider Nächte kaum schlafen und uns nicht erholen. Auch kleine Annehmlichkeiten, die man in dieser Preisklasse erwarten darf – wie Hausschuhe oder ein Notfall-Set mit Zahnbürste und Zahnpasta – fehlten. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir das sehr gute Abendessen im Rahmen der Halbpension. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Viele Mitarbeitende sind Lernende und sprechen hauptsächlich Englisch, geben sich aber grosse Mühe. Wir reisen sehr häufig und haben schon viele Hotels besucht. Aufgrund des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses würden wir dieses Hotel mit 3 von 5 Sternen bewerten. Die wunderschöne Lage verdient jedoch einen zusätzlichen Stern.

We had a really good time at this super hotel in Montreux. The building itself is beautiful and well looked after, the only drawback being the lack of air conditioning. We do understand one cannot just stick aircon units onto a listed building . Unfortunately we visited during the heatwave. Fans were provided which helped. Our room was spacious and overlooked the lake with a pleasant balcony. Daily cleaning services kept it spick and span. We had half board which my husband really enjoyed. As a vegetarian I found the hotel did its best to accommodate me. Due to the heatwave I suffered a bad flare up with my rheumatoid during the holiday which made it difficult to use cutlery properly. I must have been a real trial to the lovely staff . Talking of staff I cannot praise them highly enough, from the front of house girls who were lovely and really helpful to the cleaning staff who were understanding of my slowness in leaving the room in the morning. The icing on the cake was the restaurant staff - helpful, charming, patient and willing to put up with two elderlies chatting on. I would recommend this hotel to disabled who can manage without a wheelchair. There was a lift and everywhere was spacious to get about with sticks. The hotel was well situated a few minutes walk from the bus stop to the station and the quay and the city generally. The Montreux Card being excellent for local transport. Now I would love to see the area in winter.

Hotel jest przepięknie położony, przy promenadzie nad jeziorem, ma piękny ogród, z leżakami. Jest bardzo elegancko i stylowo. Pyszne dania w restauracji. Dobre śniadanie. Przemiły personel w recepcji i restauracji. Z hotelu można promenadą dojść do zamku Chillon i do centrum Montreux. Na przeciwko hotelu jest przystanek autobusu jadącego na dworzec. Bardzo wygodne łóżko, balkon z markizą i widokiem na jezioro to wspaniałe miejsce do odpoczynku, jest też stolik i krzesełka.

Na tarasie restauracji można palić. Niestety, dym dostaje się przez balkon do pokojów położonych nad patio restauracji. Jeden wieczór mieliśmy cały zmarnowany bo ktoś palił przez cały wieczór cygara i bardzo było czuć dym w pokoju, nie mówiąc o możliwości odpoczynku na balkonie :(. Mimo to z przyjemnością wróciłabym do hotelu na dłużej, bo spędziliśmy tylko kilka nocy.

Wir hatten wirklich einen tollen Aufenthalt; das Hotel ist einzigartig gelegen mit direktem Zugang zum See und einem tollen Frühstück.
