Cascada Boutique Hotel

Third stay at CASCADA but first time traveling by car. Receptionist went outside to direct son into hotel parking (which was quite convenient). Pleasant rooms with air cond, refrigerators, and comfortable beds. Very good breakfast.

Very clean, the entire building appears very nice, well decorated. Breakfast excellent. Entire staff could not have been nicer. Every single person we encountered had a smile. Location to train station is good, little bit of a walk to major sites on other side of the river but definitely walkable.

The proximity to the train station! We booked knowing that Lucerne was just a point to launch from everyday and visit the town in the evenings. Once we figured out that we should use the spiral walkway to/from the train station it cut our down our walking time. The breakfast buffet had a wide assortment of items to keep the whole family happy.

The staff was super helpful, it was nice to have cold still water to refill in the lobby, we took advantage of the free bikes and although the location was close to the train station - the rooms were quiet, updated and brightly lit. Withing walkiing distance to Old Town and a visit to Old Town on a quiet evening is a must!

I only ate breakfast and it was good but not amazing considering the price. The service was excellent. Amelia was extremely efficient and helpful. I noticed her multitasking and anticipating guests' needs before they even had to ask. Well done to her. Reception staff were warm and welcoming. I really liked the small touch of complimentary water bottles and the access to the water station in reception. The hotel was close to the train station which was very handy for check out.

As i was travelling alone on this occasion, the hotel was just a little bit too far from central area of restaurant/ bar activity for my liking. It would not have bothered me if i had company but i felt that i needed to be back at the hotel before it got too late since i was a female travelling alone. This was just a personal preference. It didn't feel unsafe, however.

We had a great evening and stay with Cascada! Elena was helpful from our check-in, to making us dinner reservations too! She was a pleasure to work with.

Let’s start with the good stuff. The room was very clean, the staff were nice, and the breakfast was good. But as some people mention, this would in US be a 2 star hotel. No place to put away your cloth other than hangers. I never found the TV remote, and while the free beer in the minibar was a nice gesture, there was no can opener. The water temperature fluctuated white I was taking shower. But most importantly, THE SMALL ROOM IS DANGEROUS. The odd ceiling design that dropped down on the side where you would naturally hard in because that is where the night table and electric outlets were caused need to hit my head. When I went to the reception to get a bandaid it became clear that this happens relatively often.

Wonderful stay at Cascada. Very convenient to train station and all of downtown sights. All of the workers were very friendly helpful- special shoutout to Amelia and Elena! Breakfast buffet was filled with delicious items- especially ice to have made to order eggs! Nice touches like souvenir water bottles!

Wonderful hotel convenient to the train station and to the old city, but in a quiet spot. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Access to the old city was wonderful for our 1-night stay before traveling on to the mountains for hiking.

Our room was located extremely close to the railway tracks, resulting in very loud and disruptive noise from passing trains, particularly the harsh braking sounds. We requested a room change because of the excessive noise, but the front desk did not take any action or offer any solution. In addition, the soundproofing of the room was extremely poor. We could constantly hear footsteps and furniture or other objects being moved in the room above us, which caused further disturbance throughout our stay.

Завтрак восхитительный, персонал внимательный и предусмотрительный, номер небольшой, но максимально комфортный. Кофемашина с капсулами и сливками, бесплатный мини-бар, пополнялся каждый день, при въезде подарили стеклянные бутылки с водой, а ребенку мягкую игрушку - было очень приятно. Сам отель находится недалеко от центра, достопримечательности, вокзал, сувениры - все в шаговой доступности. Внутри двора хорошая парковка за 22 франка в сутки, необходимо заранее забронировать.

Great hotel, and great location! Would stay here again while in Lucerne. They provide a Lucerne visitor pass as well which covers buses in the city, as well as reusable water bottles. Rooms are spotless clean, and very comfortable with AC for the summer heat. Great service and stay overall!

Our first stop/stay in Switzerland. The hotel is very easy to get to from the train station which was very convenient after a day of flying. We were on the 3rd floor. The room size for Europe was generous. They had the 3rd bed laid out perfectly and my 9 year old slept well. To get into the shower was a huge step over to get into the tub. It had AC and within walking distance to town. I would stay here again.

I would not recommend this place. Their staff has rude attitude at reception desk. There was noise from AC and fridge at various times throughout the night, so we didn’t sleep well. Their restaurant has good food but overpriced. They give a 20% discount only on your main plate, not overall bill. Their breakfast buffet has limited fruit and mediocre food for $29.

We had an amazing stay at CASCADA Hotel, and one of the biggest reasons was Yuliia. From the moment we met her, she was exceptionally professional, genuinely kind, and truly cared about making sure our family was comfortable. Even while managing a very busy breakfast shift, she always took the time to check on us with a warm smile and made us feel welcome. What touched us the most was how thoughtful she was with our young son. She went out of her way to bring out toys for him to play with, which absolutely made his day. He had such a wonderful time that he’s already asking when we can come back to this hotel! It’s rare to meet someone who combines professionalism with such genuine care and hospitality. Yuliia is a tremendous asset to CASCADA Hotel, and she made our stay memorable for our entire family. Thank you, Yuliia, for your kindness and for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to returning in the future

Lovely well positioned hotel . Small, but very clean rooms, comfortable beds. Most importantly, super nice & accommodating staff. Special shout out to Rhea, front desk employee . Buffet breakfast was delicious.

We stayed in an upgraded Deluxe Room for two nights. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was very good. Unfortunately, the bathroom design significantly detracted from our stay. The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a heavy, opaque sliding glass door that was extremely difficult to operate. It took two people to force the door about two-thirds of the way open or closed, and even then it would not fully close, leaving virtually no privacy. We reported the problem to the front desk, and housekeeping was sent to inspect it. Their response was simply that it was the best they could do. Since the bathroom door would not function properly, we sometimes had to use the public restroom in the hotel to have privacy. For a hotel of this quality, this was completely unacceptable and overshadowed what otherwise would have been a pleasant stay.

Tolle Klimaanlage im Zimmer, sehr angenehm im Sommer. An der Rezeption konnte ich Tickets für Ausflüge buchen, sehr gut. Frühstücksbuffet war richtig groß mit tollen Optionen.

Everything about this hotel was 5 stars for me. The check in staff was really nice and friendly and I liked that there was also an optiono to check in at a kiosk in the lobby. We loved the complimentary glass water bottles that we were able to keep. The whole hotel and room were very clean and fresh and the beds were comfy. We had a room on the top floor and it was very quiet and the operable skylight was really nice. I thought the location was really great - a very easy walk to the train station and to old town area.

Very clean, with a small balcony facing a quiet road. The room was small, but it had a great layout. It had a small fridge that had complimentary drinks, including 2 beers and 2 soft drinks upon arrival. The staff was really lovely, and the breakfast was really, really good. There was a wide variety of options to choose from, and their fresh juice was delicious. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

What a great boutique hotel - we really enjoyed the hotel. The staff is super friendly and eager to please - everytjing we asked for was provided with service-oriented approach. The room was lovely and elegant, and the breakfast was diversified and tasty. Great hotel, and they deserve no less than 5 stars.

De kwaliteit van de kamer en de grootte stonden niet in verhouding tot de hoge prijs, zelfs voor Zwitserse begrippen, noch was de foto totaal niet representatief. Op de kamer een relaiskast bij de airco die om de 45 min een soort schoolbel liet afgaan waardoor we nauwelijks konden slapen. De badkamer had meer iets van een budget hotel met een schuifdeur die zo stroef liep dat we die eenmaal binnen bijna niet meer openkregen. Ook het eten in Bolero was zeer matig, te weinig en het verhaal waarom dat zo was sneed geen hout. Ik wilde mijn gezin een “luxe ervaring” bieden maar het tegendeel was waar. Zeer teleurstellend. De vrouw achter de receptie zei de goede dingen die ze op de opleiding had gehoord en was behulpzaam toen onze auto was ondergekotst door een kat, maar deed niets om ons tevreden te stellen, zoals daar toch mogelijkheden toe zijn. Erg jammer.

Very clean and convenient hotel. Great location next to train station (and close to old town). Was concerned about noisy trains, but we didn’t hear anything. Free spring water and two bottles of beer and apple cider every day! Helpful staff. We didn’t eat breakfast there, but we did eat dinner at the Spanish restaurant Bolero, and it was excellent.

Everything about this hotel was great. Very conveniently located near the train station and 10 minutes walk to the old town. Staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was excellent. Many nearby restaurants.

We loved Cascada! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the room was plenty big for our family of 5! The location could not have been more centrally located also!

Cascada is conveniently located near the Lucerne train station but apart from that, they have an excellent staff!!! Each and every one is friendly, cheerful and very helpful. This is true for the front desk as well as the room service staff. The hotel also has a great restaurant, Bolero. The staff at Bolero is also excellent. A shoutout to our wait staff Javier and Vanessa for their excellent service. Don’t know if this is a Lucerne thing or not, but the minibar is free to use and stocked daily. Too bad neither one of us drink alcohol. The room did not have a bath tub (at least ours didn’t), only a shower, but it was clean and comfortable.

Very nice hotel close to the everything. The customer service was the best. They even helped us coordinate our trip up to Mt Pilatus. Highly recommend staying here.

Room was cool, clean, and little surprises along the way made it enjoyable - fresh, cold water, free beer in the fridge, and a very helpful staff. I borrowed the bike in the morning and had a fun excursion too. Great location, excellent staff, a delightful stay - and the food at the restaurant was terrific too!

We stayed for one night on our rail trip but would have happily stayed for more. The location was great, our triple room spacious (although the bathroom was small but adequate), the staff were so helpful and we were especially grateful for the chilled water on tap as our visit was during the heatwave. The breakfast selection was plentiful. Happy to recommend the hotel.

So Tech / Geek / Chill / Relaxing - my wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Cascada Boutique hotel which is located just a few minutes' walk from the Main Train Station in Lucerne. That location is great - you can walk to the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) in about 10 minutes from the hotel). The room - comfortable, a relaxing bed and pillow, easy temperature control, and a mini-bar (complimentary) with 2 Spanish beers and two Apple soft drinks - perfect! Water is provided at check-in in a refillable logo'd container which you can keep, with a water station in the lobby (that also offers complimentary apples and candies). There's an app you can add to your phone to control doors, elevators, and get instructions on AirCon as well as local events and the menu for the in-house restaurant Bolero. The app is an optional experience - I loved using it; my spouse preferred not to use it; both were happy. We had included breakfast brunch in Bolero and --- Best Brunch Ever! Yes eggs and croissants and cereal. But also tapas-style Tortillas-y-huevos and chorizo and ... and ... and .. WARM CHURROS! This was the best treat among many treats. Staff at Cascada were kind and multi-lingual, something typical at many Lucerne venues. Free Wi-Fi and easy access to trains-trams-buses, in case you want to visit Pilatus (please do - EXCELLENT) or shop or wander. I wish we'd had more time to spend more nights at Cascada.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights while visiting Lucerne and surrounding area. It’s a great location. While not in Old Town, it’ only a short walk away from Chapel Bridge, the lake, and all the sites. We easily walked from the train station which ids a few blocks away. It’s on a busy street where they were doing construction but it wasn’t noisy inside. Rooms have fridges that are re-stocked with waters, beer, and a local beverage. Not many places do that! We enjoyed our beer every evening! Breakfasts were lovely with attentive staff and a wide variety of foods. We would gladly stay here again if we ever return!

We reached via train from Zurich at 12:00, Yara welcomed our family of 6, stored our luggage while we went out for lunch. Upon return the rooms were ready. Amazing Hotel and excellent location. Walking distance to the restaurants. Lake and stores. Breakfast spread was delicious, staff was friendly, prepared the eggs the way we lined.
