Excellent
Central and tucked away from noise
My overall experience was nice in spite of the carpet smell, which is a minor upgrade and fifth floor ice room not working. Poole side was beautiful. The gym had all the equipment you need. Food was great. The breakfast was delicious! book with Omni. Small issue with valet tho but it’s being handled
Very nice hotel with most of the amenities you would want. It is an upscale environment that we were trying out for the first time. It would have been a bit more enjoyable if we were aware that there was no in room fridge to keep out daily meds. Very good pool area and personnel were all top notch.
The saving grace for this hotel was a worker named Racquel. She put in several requests for our room to be serviced (towels refreshed and room cleaned) after we spent the majority of our stay at the omni with staff ignoring our requests. This was a standard service that was supposed to happen every night. We even found dried blood on the towel in our bathroom. Nonetheless, the area is upscale, food options around are nice and the shuttle was convenient. I hope you do a better job with room cleaning in the future. This is a nice hotel otherwise.
The room air conditioner didn’t work in be room and the toilet flooded in the other we had to switch rooms 3 times with zero accommodations!
First the good news. Overall the staff are great and bend over backwards to help - well done. We booked the Omni out of a fit of nostalgia as 40 years ago it was one of our favourite spots. The Black Swan pub and the Sunday Brunch were Houston staples - both are no more. The rooms are spacious BUT they are 40 years old and it shows. Hospital mustard yellow paint went out of fashion 30 years ago. The decor and room amenities are 1990s at best but they are comfortable. Great location, great staff but seriously in need of major refurbishment and upgrade.
The staff here is fantastic—so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to lend a hand. Special shoutout to the valet team for being so quick and cheerful every time we needed our car. Exceptional hospitality from start to finish.
Top notch service from the moment we booked the block of rooms for our daughter's wedding. Glenn did an amazing job ensuring we had the proper atmosphere. From the moment we were greeted at the front door, the staff was pouring on the help and service. Would highly recommend this hotel! Several options for places to eat within the hotel. Spacious suites and top notch staff.
I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at this Omni property was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. This was my first stay at an Omni Hotel, and unfortunately, it will most likely be my last. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room with a dirty bathtub. After going back to the front desk, I was moved to another room, only to find a dirty, used washcloth left in the shower. I was then moved to a third room, where several electrical outlets didn't work. By that point, I was exhausted from packing and unpacking multiple times, so I gave up and stayed. The problems didn't stop there. I requested housekeeping, but no one serviced my room on the second day. The room was also missing soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I called and was told someone would bring them, but no one ever showed up. Later, the toilet became clogged, and it took about two hours for anyone to respond. What disappointed me most wasn't just the condition of the rooms. It was the repeated failure to follow through. Time after time, I was told someone would take care of an issue, and time after time, nothing happened. When I checked out, I explained everything to the front desk. The hotel offered a $50 credit, which I appreciated, but it didn't come close to making up for an experience that fell far short of what I expected from a hotel that markets itself as a premium brand. I travel often and rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that mistakes happen. But multiple dirty rooms, missing basic amenities, missed housekeeping, maintenance issues, and repeated broken promises turned what should have been a relaxing stay into a frustrating one. I genuinely wanted my first Omni experience to be a good one. Instead, it left me questioning the hotel's quality standards. Based on this stay, I don't see myself returning to this property or choosing the Omni brand again. I wanted to add photos but it would not allow me to attach them.
Convenient
Horrible trying to sleep. Both nights we had to call and complain about excessive loud music starting at 6 and 7 AM Get very little sleep because of no control of guests
The resort was a beautiful location. It had delicious food with wonderful staff. The pool and beach were perfection. We will be back!
World class hotel
We toured Texas for the World Cup and this was our last stop. The hotels clean, comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect. In particular, the pool area is outstanding with plenty of beds, lots of room and a relaxed layout. Best kept secret was La Reserve bar which stayed open til midnight with a TV to watch the matches. The hotel has a courtesy car for trips within around 2 miles of the hotel, a really good service if you want a few beers. Further afield, there's loads of shops, bars, restaurants, etc within a 30 minute drive in all directions (the Honey Hole for breakfast is excellent). The Space Centre is about a one hour drive. Worth the visit, but be warned, if you want to see the original Apollo flight centre (as in the film) its classed as a separate tour that needs to be booked online before going. Finally, thank you to Alex for all the helpful advice and to Diane for the cocktails. If we were staying in Houston again, we'd definitely use the Omni. Thank you.
The environment was absolutely great—very calm and peaceful. There were also many other hotels and restaurants nearby, which made it really convenient without feeling crowded. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Alex, who was especially kind, attentive, and extremely service-minded. We truly appreciated his help! Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.
What I didn’t like was having to pay for the late check-out.
Great customer service from day and night staff! Would appreciate better parking accommodations as well as free self parking especially given the structure of hotel. Overall pleased with stay
Love the location. The staff makes the place special. Also love the black swans!
Our room was very warm. A technician came up and it did get better, but still remained somewhat warm. However, we were given a credit which we very much appreciated.
This hotel wants to be top tier but fails. Not a great experience. Sheets were dirty (gritty stuff between the top and bottom sheets), only outlet by bed was on a lamp and it was broken, the tub was clogged, there was hair plastered on the back of the bathroom door, I had to ask the front desk 3 times for shampoo and finally got it on the last day of my stay; no one cleaned my room in my 3-nights stay (and I really needed sheets, shampoo, coffee supplies, etc), one of the elevators would stall out (the staff literally said it gets stuck sometimes - SO TAKE IT OUT OF SERVICE UNTIL IT’s REPAIRED), and there was a pointless “security” person on my floor who checked room keys when getting off the elevator to make sure you belonged there. What a mess. I will not go back.
Good location, made us pay for wifi
free wifi
My daughter and I are local and had a staycation here before she turns double digits. Knowing we were there for her birthday, the staff treated her with so much attention and made her feel special. I can't say enough about how enjoyable the trip was. We spent most of our time at the pool, ate on site, and ordered room service for breakfast. We will definitely be back, and may even get a resort pass for the pool as locals.
Truly an oasis in crazy Houston; warm, inviting, welcoming, nice amenities, beautiful grounds, exceptional staff (Kaitlyn and Alex I'm looking at YOU!)
Fabulous staff, particularly the bartender/barista in the mornings
Limited walkability
The pool and gym!!
Not having a fridge
The staff were some of the most kind and courteous hotel staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They went out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had mobility challenged family members with us and the staff could not have been any kinder and helpful to us and them.
This hotel is impressive. I was there on a weekend. they had weddings & activities every day, so much much to see happy people at their lobby. Never felt overwhelmed or crowded. NEVER heard noise in my room. The staff is super friendly. the hotel is very clean. My room was spacious, clean & bed/pillows very comfortable. I slept thru the night. Overall, this hotel was excellent!!
Nice pools and quiet location
Only one smoking area out by valet…I understanding smoking is not everyone’s thing but a lot of people still smoke. Should have a smoking section by the pool. Also the nail salon was closed due to no nail tech. The entire reason I booked here was for the spa for my gf to get her nails done. Nothing showed it was closed on the website and the front desk staff didn’t even know. Pretty dissatisfied with that.
I did not like having to pay a $35 self parking fee per day. I think that's ridiculous.
The staff was extremely helpful and nice.
The rooms themselves were a little outdated.
Extremely attentive staff -- shout out Alex and Mo. Rooms were spacious and clean. The cool weather didn't allow us to use the pool but it was pretty and clean! The grounds were beautiful. Was no disturbed by any noises. We booked our rooms during a Black Friday special for a family member's wedding. The location was fantastic close to everything we needed.
Wonderful staff, clean rooms, and beautiful pools! The location was set back and you are surrounded by a beautiful pond and tall trees. You didn’t hear excessive noise (for example, kids running around or loud TV’s or people talking) in your room.
L’emplacement
Pdj trop long, attendre 15 mn avant de boire un café
This is a very nice property. All public spaces are clean and easily accessible.
We attending the Family Life - “Weekend to Remeber” the the Houston Omni. We were COMPLETELY AMAZED by the service and hospitality! Very attentive and responsive to any need. The conference had 600 attendees and there was 3 weddings as well, and yet it didn’t feel crowded and we got more attention than needed or deserved. They were quick to comp something if not perfect. Well done!
Sadly to share , no welcoming at the front desk- now willing to help , delates check in - no friendly staff- no helpful - I was expecting better experience and more DJ
Great experience. Great view. Great Customer Service. I would highly recommend staying here the dining and bar was excellent and the Black Swan was a fun nightlife experience with DJ, dancing, and karaoke. Shout out to overall cleanliness and service with honorable mention to their very large pools.
The drinks were amazing and the staff really goes out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. The poolside bar had the best drinks ever. I will definitely go back.
Excellent place to stay and host a party. Location is central to many food and entertainment options. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very little noise in the rooms so you can rest. Staff was friendly and professional
It is always a pleasure to come back to the omni in Houston This hotel combines the best of both worlds in Houston Close to the Golf and running track of memorial park and a short drive from the many shops and restaurants near the Galeria area. The fact that the Hotel has a well maintained large south facing swimming pool, is a great add on to relax or read while staying at the Hotel. The fitness room is OK and never to crowded. Finally the hotel Bar is also a very nice place to be. Looking forward to be back in the renewed rooms this fall
Overall, our stay was relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable. We truly appreciated the excellent service and hospitality, and we look forward to visiting again!
The location and the restaurant at the Omni Hotel..
The hotel is beautiful. The fact that it's a little older make is charming. The staff at the front desk are pleasant and helpful. The restaurant and bar is a lovely place to go "home" to at the end of a long day, fighting Houston traffic.
The Omni in Houston is astonishing! From the moment you drive up, you are greeted and made to feel welcome. When you walk into the lobby, it is clean and inviting. You are then greeted by the front staff who are very focused on checking you in and ensuring your stay is the best. Joyce (front desk) greeted me and my family as if we were family. This lady is truly a professional and cares that your stay is the best. She gave my grand kids a welcome bag which they enjoyed. It is staff, such as Joyce that make me want to return to the Omni …. as a matter of fact, I already made a reservation for May. The pool is refreshing and well maintained. Going to Houston, stay at the Omni!
Very friendly and professional staff, excellent location, very clean.
N/A
Well maintained hotel and friendly staff. The grounds and pool area are beautiful. Nice conference rooms and seating. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Perfect big city retreat! Professional, friendly, amazing dining! Perfect stay if you are looking for quiet, beautiful location with close commute to downtown or Galleria.
Thanks to our amazing valet CJ!!
Rooms, cafe and pool were nice. All was new and clean.
Nothing outside close by to go to.
Exceptional service and super location a bit south of the Galleria. In a great part of town for shopping and restaurants. Every one of the staff we encountered was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. Bar and coffee shop had good offerings and service. Room was comfortable and the bed was divine!
Well, first off, the whole experience was ruined from the get go because when I went to check in at 4pm my room was not ready and I had to wait another 30 minutes. I was also never given any information about the amenities offered here. Then, the birdies bar closed at 10pm on a Saturday night which is very early and I was unable to use my free drink coupon there. Then I asked the server if I could use the card at the whiskey lounge next door and she said “it depends on the mood they are in” well they were in a bad mood that night and told me I’d have to use it at birdies the next morning. The next morning comes, and when I tried to use my card on the coffee I wanted I was told I couldn’t use it for that and could only get a basic coffee drink such as a latte. I was very disappointed because the price of the beverages were the exact same. Lastly, I tried to checkout online using the express checkout and get an error message saying I need to speak to someone at the front desk, just to find out that everything was fine, I didn’t owe anything on the room and apparently did not need to comeback inside. Overall a terrible experience, not one I expected from a brand of this caliber.
Hotel is well situated and the staff exceptionallly friendly, professional, and helpful. Food was good and rooms very nice. A pleasant experience.
The staff is amazing and so helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The food at all the events was delicious.
Everything
Loved everything
The hotel is beautiful and the staff exceptional. I have stayed at this hotel for years and wouldn’t stay anywhere else while in Houston!
best experience at a hotel management is creative food excellent room are great. Too many things to list. I highly recommend this hotel.
You will experience an amazing time. The staff are friendly, kind, and EXTREMELY helpful!! The center is very clean, modern, and the food was great. I will DEFINITELY plan to stay again and will look for Omnis in my travels!!
Room was decent. Bed was comfortable. Staff was pleasant and receptive.
View of roof. Toilet was too low No exhaust fan on bathroom mirror fogged up bad and mold started on ceiling. Taking too long to get my deposit back Didn’t receive credit for sink being stopped up when I checked in.
Great location.
The room had no microwave or refrigerator
Ruimte, nette kamers, groot zwembad en goede gym
Sinds wat lang wachten bij restaurant
I enjoyed the bartender who was very accommodating and also was greeted by the manager she made me feel at home which is a reason I will come back and she also remembered me .
I didn’t like the stares from the workers or the other guest however I paid it no mind .
You pay for even the smallest things such as wifi!!! In 2025!?!?! Raquel at the front desk was the only friendly and kind colleague there. The rest were below average. Not what one would expect for an upper scale hotel.
People like Chris, the bartenders and other staff. They all look like they hate jobs
Vibe and room overall is fantastic
I highly recommend The Omni for a trip to Houston! It’s located 20 minutes from downtown, in the heart of the Uptown/Galleria area, but hidden in an expansive green area that feels like you are in your own park and sanctuary. The staff is amazing and attentive, the hotel is elegant enough to cost 3x more than it really does! The Omni is a “hidden gem”!
I have been staying in Omni hotels nationwide for the past 15 years. It is one of my favorite chains because it is customer service-oriented, with special attention to each guest, not like other chains, which are more commercial. I have been in this hotel several times; there were a few glitches, unusual for Omni, but I let it go as things can happen, and my past overall experience was good, but this time it was a nightmare. I had a horrible experience with the valet which I had concerns that someone stayed in my car which would be unauthorized use, I reported it then the valet supervisor took a unauthorized picture of my driving license on his personal phone which I give it to him to confirm my ID thenand refused to delete it and lied about deleting it then the font lobby director Lisa Gordon who said noone of this happened despite she wasn’t there in evening and was very rude and said ( I am telling you no one of this happened ) then morning security Ashton green who said we don’t want to hear your story we read it from yesterday report, I will tell you what happened and when I requested the name of valet supervisor who took my DL picture without my conset and the valet who serviced my car, Aston Green refused and said you will need to subpeneo to get this, (I will not give you any incident report or documentation of what happened, what you said never happened will have to subpeneo and you had no right to ask the supervirsor valet to delete your DL pictue( which he took without my consent ) from his phone ) !!! So for details On arrival I valet my car then next day in the morning , I noticed the sit was reclined as if someone was lying in it , and the temp of the car was changed to cool with high fan, it is expensive car to figure the temp buttons and recliner takes some time so mostly there was someone lying resting in my car which is unauthorized use , I brought that to the attention of the bell guy who was the only one there , the valet supervisor was not on site yet, it was around 11 am on Friday , I went to my errands then came back in the evening , when I came back I asked to speak to the manager , a middle age employee came didn’t introduce himself nor had any card , he had small name tag maye be (cosmo) was on it , not sure of name , he said he reviewed the cameras and a tall valet moved my car so he needed to back the sit , I told him backing the sit is usual if someone taller than me but reclining it to position where you can lie and rest on it is in unusual he said he wanted more room then why he changed the temp of the car to cooler weather and high fan, and it takes a time to figure how to do it in busy valet and garage just steps away it would be unusual and unnecessary, he couldn’t answer , he said no one moved the car , I told but did you check 24 hr camera that no one stayed it which would be unathorized use , he can easily spill something wipe it then it will show in weeks to month in the car as mold which requires the whole sit to be changed which would be very expensive or something else can show up later, the valet supervisor kept repeating that no one moved my car from garage then asked for DL to confirm my name I gave it to him to confirm my ID then he at once took a pictue of my DL on his personal phone without my consent , I told him I didnt authorize you to do that you need to delete the picture of the my DL , he said I need it for your info , I told him the details you can take from the front desk , I want you to delete it from your phone , he didn’t want to then showed it on his phone that he clicking on button (move to) and said here is it I have deleted it and deleted it also from trash can , I told him to do that you need 2 steps which I didn’t see it then he took the phone and just moved it and said fine here I am doing it , I went to the lobby asking for the manager to report about my car incident then new one with the valet supervisor took my DL without my consent and I am worried about misuse of my sensistive information then after 10 minutes the lobby door asked I wnet back to the valet supervisor and aksed him to show me his junk mail , he showed me the DL copy was still there ,, he lied about deleting it and insisted to keep my sensitive information on his phone without my consent , I doubt he ever delet my driving license from his personal phone and he had enough time to share it or email it anywhere as I came after 10 minutes it is still there on his personal phone I went to the night front lobby manager and asked is this was the protocol she said no, and took my complaint, I told there are cameras to confirm everything so first there was my concern that someone used and stayed in my car which is unautoirzed use which could cause damage which could show later, then I have a valet supervisor taking my DL photo on his personal phone without my consent and lying about deleting it and insisting about having the DL information on his phone and that I am worried about misusing my sensitive infmration and hurt me, the front lobby manager wrote my concerns and said lost and found security will contact me in the morning. In the morning I approched twice the front desk that I would like to speak to the security the second time (Lisa Gordon) who was very rude and said I read everything and what you are telling never happened, I told her how did you know did you review the cameras you just read, she brushed me and her tone became louder and said I am telling you this didn’t happen I am not talking to you; talk to lost and found. I spoke to lost and found the security they were 2 agents one of them doing most of talking (Ashton green) started to attack me saying what I said never happened, I asked if he reviewed the cameras and why did the valet supervisor took my DL photo on his personal phone and kept it, despite me asking to delete it , he didn’t answer then said it never happened and that Ihad no right to ask him to delete it frm his trash can on his photo and when I asked for incident report or name of the supervisor valet and the valet who serviced my car,(Ashton green) said I am not giving you anything, no incident reports no names , you will need to subpeneo by judge order to get this info. In summary, my main issues are the valet's unauthorized use of my car and the valet supervisor's taking my driver's license picture without my permission and refusing to delete it with my concern that he will misuse it . Hotel staff, including Lisa Gordon and Ashton Green, denied my concerns and complaint, refused to provide an incident report or the names of employees, and said I needed a subpoena. This is not the experience you would expect in such a luxurious hotel. When something went wrong, instead of de-escalating and acknowledging the issue, it was escalated at every step, leading to further problems. The staff was rude and tried to deny and hide the events, which was clear misconduct and had never happened to me at this chain or branch before.
Restaurants are expensive a and the dinner is not what you expect
They forgot to clean our room during our stay. The bathroom was dated and didn’t even have a fan. We self parked in the garage. When we checked out, we were told we could tap the room key to get our car out of the garage, then drop off the keys in the check-out drop off box. But the room key didn’t work and we had to called the emergency service for help. The services in this hotel need improvements.

The Omni Houston is a real treat! Every member of staff is ready and willing to assist in making your stay pleasant and memorable. The onsite cafe has a good variety of food that is delicious and very reasonably priced. The hotel overall was a great value and a great stay.
This beautiful property boasts a wonderful staff that is friendly, professional, and welcoming. There are plenty of activities to enjoy on the premises. The black-swan nightclub was an entertaining and enjoyable experience. The bartender was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, and his specialty drinks are a must-try.
First trip to an Omni hotel as part of a romantic getaway, it definitely fit the choice. The hotel was amazing and beautiful. Will definitely go again.
Staff room was clean and very nice
They charge you for parking which is a rip-off
Nice grounds, pool and lobby. Spacious rooms, good location.
Very dated room and bathroom. Show faucet looked like from the 70's. Bed too soft for me. Could get free internet in lobby. From the room I could only get to the internet for a fee despite signing up as an Omni club member.
First off, you have to pay $35 to park at their Hotel. Theirs no where else to park and why wouldn’t it be free if I’m staying there?! Everything I saw on level 9 was dated back to the 1980’s, including our room. The toilets reminded me of my grandparents’ toilet and the bed had a big sunken section in the middle. My wife and I kept trying to climb out all night, very bad sleep. They also over-charged us for the breakfast that we ordered, the shuttle bus never came to pick us up after multiple calls, and it was not a pleasant experience staying here. We had to go home to get good rest! I can guarantee that I will never bring my wife to this expensive, uncomfortable, dated, and inhospitable hotel ever again. You screwed me this once, never again.
Location convenient to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church
Have to go outside and across street for self park.
We stayed at the Omni on 4 Riverway in Houston. We parked Valet which was the easiest experience and Alex who brought our bags tot he room was super friendly and helpful. The check-in desk folks were very welcoming and helpful as well. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. The only hick-up was the mii fridge didn't work but we had a cooler with us so it wasn't a big deal. I'm sure they would have replaced it if I had asked. The common areas were decorated very nicely and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
