The staff was not good and the property is very old and not clean enough. The hotel was very old fashioned and small. The charge was way too much for this kind of a property

Considering the price I paid, I would have expected a better room and some amenities. Old style furniture and very basic.

The stay involved several frustrating issues: * They tried to charge me twice, even though I had already booked and paid through Booking.com. * No room was available for early check-in despite my request. This happens, so it wasn’t a major issue. * They also overlooked my prepaid breakfast and initially tried to charge me for it again. Eventually, they provided vouchers for the existing café, but it wasn’t a traditional buffet, coffee wasn’t included, and the actual buffet area was behind closed doors. So what exactly did I pay for? * They required a CAD 100 deposit for a one-night stay, despite already having my card details. I disliked this practice, especially because I wasn’t informed about it beforehand. * The bathroom ceiling was peeling and coming apart. * There was no handheld showerhead, only a fixed one, which was inconvenient, especially for women.

La habitación era amplia y limpia, con cafetera, mini refrigerador y caja fuerte. Lo mejor de todo sin duda son la ubicación (a menos de 5 minutos del metro) y el staff, todo el personal muy amable.

El desayuno no es tan variado y deben estar todos los huéspedes (de la misma habitación) juntos para ordenar, lo que no resulta tan práctico cuando cada uno quiere comer en distintos horarios.

I mostly like the friendliness of the housekeeping staff and the valet service.

I didnt like having to wear a wristband but overall it was a nice experience.

Sink outside the bathroom!! We were given breakfast cards upon arrival. We only used the first day, but were still billed for the entire day.

Staff were very helpful, got us in a bit early as we had somewhere to be.

I planned a trip and initially paid $1,500. Before traveling, I realized there might be an issue with the credit card required for check-in, so I called the hotel in advance, explained my situation, and specifically asked whether I would still be able to check in. I also mentioned that I might extend my stay. The staff assured me there would be no problem and then charged me an additional $500. Based on that assurance, I traveled 6,000 km, only to arrive and be told that I could not check in. I was left stranded in an unfamiliar city despite having paid over $2,000. To make matters worse, it has now been six days and I still have not received my money back. This situation could have been avoided entirely if I had been given accurate information when I called ahead. Instead, I relied on the hotel’s assurances, traveled a significant distance, and was left without accommodation and without access to more than $2,000 of my money. This was an extremely stressful and unacceptable experience.

Quite run down and the room felt like it needed updating. We only stayed a couple of nights but really didn’t enjoy it. The location wasn’t bad and to be fair, it was value for money for 2 nights.

Good room size. Breakfast had lots of choices and the staff were very accommodating for our autistic son’s eating needs and for when we had an early start to get to Niagara.

Air conditioning was very noisy

The room was spacious with comfortable beds. Location is excellent, right next to several public transport options checking in and out was speedy and the staff were friendly and helpful

The sink is separate from the bathroom. Not a big deal but slightly odd.

Stayed two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott. Came to see a concert so it was a quick trip. Hotel room was comfortable, and I made access to the small but functional fitness room. Bar staff were friendly. Location was easy to get to from Pearson Airport using the UP express train and one short transfer to the subway. Lots of restaurants in the area. Felt like a safe neighbourhood. Sort of expensive for two nights, but hey, that’s downtown Toronto. No pool or hot tub, which would have added to the experience. I would stay again.

Room not very clean & with musty smell

Does not really like room stricture of our room as ot was small and crowded. Inconvenient as the wash sink is located outside the bathroom, The water drains slow when you flush the toilet. The washcloth towels has yellow stain and one of my make up tool(eyelash curler) was damaged.

Friends said the beds were either perfect or too soft. The shower water pressure was a little low but that could also be a local water savings regulation. Parking costs were predatory. There is no reason it should cost $60/night for on-site parking and I was tempted to give a negative review just for the parking issues. Everything else was amazing.

Why is parking $60/night when the garage a block over charged me $8/night and the lot next door charges $23/night.. This is an intentionally predatory decision by the hotel.

O hotel fica em frente à Av. Jarvis, muito bem localizado. O quarto é muito espaçoso, realmente imenso. O café da manhã não fica em uma área própria, pode-se dizer que está na área de circulação, o que tem seu lado positivo e negativo.

A circulação interna é um pouco confusa, pois os quartos podem estar em alas diversas. Para a ala em que fiquei, há uma caminhada considerável, ainda mais porque o acesso do hotel às vezes é alterado para uma entrada secundária, mais próxima da outra ala.

I spent 2 nights in room 1106 for a business meeting. I travel to Toronto many times a year and usually stay at the Marriott or Sheraton downtown. So the courtyard was definitely a change of pace – and location – but one that I very much enjoyed. A couple weeks before arrival I had put in a request for an upgrade to a balcony room using suite night credits. While this was auto-acknowledged immediately by email, I never heard another word about my request, and apparently it was declined without me being advised. In terms of location, I liked that the Courtyard was situated in a slightly sketchy area of downtown with lots of shops, including a Winners, and restaurants, including the fabulous Fran’s (those bbq ribs!) within a few steps. My check-in started on a bad note – as I approached the elite counter, the receptionist walked away to another counter and waited to help someone who had arrived after me, while I stood and waited and waited. While it appeared deliberate, I decided to give the benefit of the doubt to staff and to see it as an unintentional lack of attention, but after 9 hours of travel it made for a negative first impression. After that, my status was recognized orally, and unexpectedly, with a small bag of snacks, and the rest of my experience was mostly positive. Room 1106 was far from the elevators as I had requested, and some might say small, but I really liked its coziness. It was furnished comfortably, had a wonderful queen bed, full length mirror, nice sized desk for me to work on, huge drawers to store clothing and other stuff, a safe and mini fridge, and magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom. Downsides were a lack of working USB outlets by the bedside, a loud A/C, and thin, summer bedding (I asked for and received an extra comforter – perfect). The staff here are lovely. To a person - and especially the housekeeping staff – they are both helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Jade, who staffs the breakfast room for elite members - she was exceptional. Her considerable positive energy was all put towards assisting guests, quickly and with a smile. The breakfast buffet was basic, but enough to start the day. If I recall correctly, however, breakfast ends a little earlier than usual. In the morning, there was also free coffee available in the lobby for all guests – a welcome touch. Would I return to the Marriott courtyard? Yes, and hope for a five star experience next time.

We stayed at this property this past weekend. Being a Bonvoy Elite member they provided us with a room upgrade which was great. They also left a birthday gift/dessert in our room for my wife. Breakfast was free for members. I highly recommend this property.

Location and convenience to transport with shops and restaurants nearby. Comfortable and clean rooms and facilities.

Had to run the water for a long time to get it hot from the shower and sink, was told this was due to plumbing in the building. Generally, just a bit dated.

No parking on site only valet at a cost of $54/day+tax. Shower pressure was poor. Lighting in bathroom was poor. Bathroom outlet was on the opposite was from the sink and mirror. The breakfast included with our package was not explained by hotel staff on arrival. Therefore we were not able to access.
