Knights Inn North Bay

The room was large and clean. The Internet, TV, fridge and shower all worked well. The free parking was appreciated. The price was the cheapest I saw for a location that was very easily walkable to the things I wanted to see and do downtown.

Stains all over the room, paw prints stained on my bed sheets and random stains on the other beds bedding. Cigarette burns all over bathroom sink. Filthy shower. And stains all over the back of the bathroom door. When we first arrived we were made to pay to upgrade to a different room. The room was so hot and even with the "air conditioner" on full blast it still was hot in the room when we left. And it wasn't even hot outside.

This is not a family motel. It's located in a dirty and sketchy area of downtown North Bay and seemed to be used as a seedy party location by locals. We were awoken at 5 AM by drunken yelling, saw a shirtless man get into a shouting match with people from another room. Eventually we had to call the police to sort it out, as the phone to the front desk either didn't work or was being ignored. Checking out, we spoke to the front desk in person to compalin; they were dismissive of our concerns ("We can't control what people do") and refused to refund us. I wrote the motel directly about this incident and received no reply. Do not stay here, especially if you are travelling with children.

The room was clean enough. I appreciated the coffee machine in the room. I was a little nervous with parking since I was unfamilar with the area but I mean hey, my car wasn't broken into so it's all good. There wasn't too much noise from nearby rooms, I heard a tiny bit of music and people sounds but whatever.

It's too bad there was no breakfast. This isn't the fault of the motel but I had a headache and was pretty tired when I was checking in. The desk clerk mentioned something about there being a fridge in my room and I'm welcome to a complementary drink and he motions to some water and pops behind him on a shelf. I said ok thanks and went to my room. He seemed kind of confused too, I didn't realize he was offering me a drink from a stock in the office to put in my room's fridge. Seemed kind of elaborate and I didn't really process it until the next money when I was pretty thirsty and wish I knew to say yes to that water lol. But yeah, I needed a quick cheap room while driving through and feeling too tired to keep driving. This place was good enough. The guy at the desk was very nice, I don't remember his name.

Hair is in the bathtub, and the shower curtain has gotten moldy.

The hair dryer didn't work. One light beside the bed kept flickering on and off and finally just stayed off. Some outlets were missing plate covers.

People doing drugs right outside their rooms, walking up to us taking pictures of our vehicle and ourselves, very unsettling situation. Would NOT recommend. Did not stay more than 10 minutes.

Our room wreaked of urine, floor in bathroom was dirty… only one tiny bar of soap for two people. Not enough shampoo …

Location was good.

The door of my room had been kicked in previously so the lock wouldn't actually lock. Those two facts together made it a bit uncomfortable. But everything else was fine.

Great location, very close to the water

I didn't like to see the local riff raff hanging around. I didn't feel that my vehicle would be safe.

While our room and the building itself were in need of some upgrades - it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

My stay was excellent. Exactly as described. This is a budget motel with no extra frills but as promised it is clean, esthetically pleasing, beds are great and room was spacious and contained everything you need for a stay. The manager, Preet, was a kind, friendly and professional worker. Everytime I left the room it seemed he was cleaning or working on something. It is clear he takes pride in his job and in the property.

Stuff are friendly

This is a quaint and quiet budget stay. The room was spotless, fresh, tasteful decor, with microwave, tv and fridge and AC that all worked. It is off the main road so even though it is downtown North Bay, it is unusually quiet. We were greeted by the manager, Preet, who was professional, kind and hard working. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking an affordable room that is clean and pleasing.

Great hospitality

The front desk isnt staffed, and you need to use a Ring, or sall a number even to check in. But hey, the staff is ok with playing Cricket in the parking lot, smashing a tennis ball at parked vehicles. Like teenaged boys. It was weird.

A Homeless Encampment very sad and frightening. Strong Urine smell and stains in the stairwells on the carpets and room sheets and carpets. False advertisement about Free Breakfast not true or Room service. Banging all hours of Day and Night and Running in the Hallways. Not safe for anyone especially children. Please don’t like about this Knights Inn Motel. Can’t get a refund and travelled 5 hrs to find ourselves in a dump.

Bit noisy in the morning but other than that, great location, service, size, comfort, value. Will stay again.

Rooms was clean but had garbage in drawers

The staff member was wonderful, but the condition of the property was bad, and this morning I had to step over 2 homeless people to exit.

My stay was nice and the staff was accommodating and understanding. But my outside window to my room was not closed properly and would not close either. Made for a cold night! Other than that was a good stay.

Area is silent and many homeless but still worth for money

This Hotel is in very rough condition and full of very questionable people. I was looking for a hotel for 1 night as i was traveling north and needed to stop for night as it Late. There was very few hotel rooms available in North Bay When checking in there were a couple of questionable men standing around in the lobby listening to Everything to was saying to the person taking my information and watching me I didn’t feel safe to be honest. I was supposedly up graded..as they only had 1 suite left The room was in very rough condition with ceiling tiles loose, bangs in the bedroom door and mold in the bathroom ceiling. The bed linen was clean with bed bug protectors on the mattress, but the pillows were stained..and also No Tv remotes to be found. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

staff were very friendly and accommodating. very close to downtown. there is a bus stop directly outside the Inn with buses going to College/ University.

From the time we reserved to the time we checked out management has beyond amazing. I would recommend this place, it was very clean and parking lot lit. Thank you for a great stay.

Clean room, great air conditioning, comfy bed, quick service, and friendly front desk staff. Preet and Yash assisted us at every single time when we required them. A pleasant stay overall.

Kinda good

It's a cheap room. Don't go there expecting 5 star anything. Had no idea that there was permanent resident's living there. The shower had no pressure, the toilet felt like it was not bolted down, very strong cleaner smell when we 1st got there which gave me a headache. The tv when turned off acted like a night light (weird) Curtains didn't block out the light out side of our room which was on all night . But nothing happened, no bugs and the Manger is very nice.

The staff receiving you at front desk is great! Very kind, offered a complementary soft drink, very keen to help. As for the motel itself I rented 2 rooms there out of Expedia showing photos of modern renovated rooms. What I got was not renovated or modern. It was absolutely outdated, windows, walls and doors were very dirty and the worst was the smell of the room. As soon as I walked in, it hit me. I put my bag on the table and started looking for another hotel but North Bay wall fully booked for my needs so I had to stay there. Kept my flip flops at all time and in the shower. The place has potential but it is a little sketchy right now… Will not go back

This hotel needs major renovations.

Check in/out was smooth. Front desk staff was helpful polite and eager to please. Great location close to downtown but not overly busy of an area. Being downtown still was very quiet at night. Walking distance to the beach waterfront. Parking convenient directly in front of your room assuming you are on the bottom floor. You pay for what you get. The room was clean, washroom was clean but definitely seemed dated. Bed was extremely comfortable which made up for the datedness of the room. Overall good stay and would again and would recommend if looking for a short term night or two stay

The room looked clean, but had a bad smell, the A/C was horrible, outside the room was dirty and run down…the ice maker was disgusting….cob webs leading up the stairs.

Pleased with our stay. Lots of hot water. A/C strong and adjustable. Staff excellent. Great value for price. Parking right outside room door. Only complaint is mattress could have been more comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Knights Inn Motel and had a truly pleasant experience. The room service was exceptional, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, with everything you need within walking distance. The bathroom, rooms, and amenities were all up to the mark and met my expectations. Overall, I loved my stay and highly recommend this motel.

Great place to stay, the guys at the front desk were awesome. Doesn’t look much from the outside but once your in, the room is clean & tidy, does need touch ups with paint etc but motels aren’t as expensive as hotels so you can let that slide. This motel does have a kurig in each room with coffe & sugar cream etc, the bathroom comes with shampoo conditioner lotion & a shower cap. There is a luggage rack, ironing board & iron fridge & microwave plus tv all the things a hotel supplies, so yes this place is really great & at a lower price. I hope the guys got the homage bananna muffins I left them lol
