It has limited space and seating in reception and at times crowded. The rooms are adequate but no more. You would expect at least a bottle of water but no.

Al salir para hacer el check-out sin haber llegado a la recepción un empleado me gritó "la tarjeta se deja aquí" golpeando la caja. Ni "buenos dias', "necesita usted algo".. a gritos y golpeando la caja. Sencillamente inaceptable.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Fantastic location, really friendly and helpful staff, great and huge breakfast. We had a small but very comfortable and clean room. The hotel is well maintained and very smart.
The communal toilets were very dirty on the one occasion that I used them.

Rom uten en eneste stol eller bord, ikke bra. I tillegg fikk vi dårlig behandling i Madamfelle, da vi fulgte andre gjester inn bakveien på grunn av striregn på utsiden. Vi betalt, men fikk en dårlig opplevelse her. Kan også nevne at det kom flere gjester samme veien etter oss, som bare fikk gå inn uten tilsnakk.😒

Breakfast was mediocre. Food in bar was not good, much better food outside hotel. You could only have a walk in shower if you had twin beds. Shower over bath was not safe.

Takes a long time to check-in, large cues. Staff isn’t bothered by people waiting, I experienced four staffmembers behind the counter fooling around with each other, while keeping me waiting behind a guest who was upset about the staff and having an argument with the only one “on duty”. Disrespectful. Breakfast was exceptionally busy, chaotic and poor.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Perfect location for exploring, Bryggen & Bergen & surrounding area on foot. We took a half day fjord cruise which was great. We also rode the mount Flöyen funicular for the fantasic views. All this you can reach on foot from the lovely hotel. The breakfast if fantastic you eat what ever you fancy from the huge laid out spread hot or cold & the breakfast staff are lovely.
I don't think there was anything we did'nt like.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The location in the heart of the Bryggen area is great, easy walk to lots of places. The hotel is big and well-run. Breakfasts were superb, huge choice. Dinner was also good if you stayed in. Not a huge choice but well made and presented.
Most of the rooms seemed to be twin - two singles. Their 'superior' rooms have shower over a very narrow bath and i downgraded my room to one with a walk-in shower after 1 night, which the staff did readily enough.

Scrambled egg til morgenmaden lignede pulvermix og var for flydende, men der var så meget andet at vælge i stedet.

The price is on the high side, but Norway is expensive. . The hotel is a classic chain hotel. You get everything you need but it is a little bit lack of character.

One of the room was not cleaned when we checked in, the front desk helped us resolve it. One water cooker is broken and one shower drain is a bit clogged.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026The staff was marvelous. They bent over backwards to offer assistance and were always very pleasant. The breakfast was superb! The location was excellent .
The room was uncomfotably small.. We had to keep our suitcases on the floor and there was no closet space. There was hardly any room to move jn the room so it was not a welcoming space for 2 people. We fought for the desk chair when, if used, meant the other person had nowhere to sit and couldn't walk around the chair either.

Der Zugang zur Garage ist nur über Treppen möglich. Ich empfehle die Koffer vor der Einfahrt in die Garage auszuladen.
