Very Small Room

Location and view. Food was excellent especially the breakfast.

No towels in the room, I had to bring it up, coffee maker had old water from previous visitors. Pillows so soft that didn’t have any functionality. Nobody cared.

There was a staff at the front desk who was not accommodating never the less there was another staff who helped us move to a better room was very customer oriented and friendly.

The location right on the Harbour. It was quite, away from street noise.

The attitude and abrupt manner of the woman that was at the check-in desk. She was on the phone with a personal call, then proceeded to be uncaring about her job of getting us checked in with our reservation.

Nothing worth 4*, too expensive, not clean, no descent lightning, small and old towels, old doors, design is terrible, tooooo expensive, tourist trap

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon ( ein kleiner Hocker passt darauf) und einen super Ausblick auf Bryggen. Wir haben super wohl gefühlt.

The bathroom sink water temperature control was very difficult to adjust, especially when hands were wet. Though stylish it was too trendy for effectiveness.

Without AC, had to sleep with window open and it could be noisy.

Great location for Bergen and friendly staff

We booked a family room but we’re put into a disabled access room and a camp bed stuck in there for our son. There was so much furniture in the small room that we could barely move about! Chair, table, chaise long - it wasn’t a family room. The toilet flooded every time one of us had a shower - see the pictures - the bin in the toilet wouldn’t open and our mugs were not changed or cleaned when the room was cleaned! Really felt like this wasn’t the room we booked from the pictures advertising the family rooms and the lack of space and poor shower drainage meant we didn’t feel comfortable in the room.

The location was exceptional. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Amazing breakfast. Nice breakfast room overlooking water.

Small room. No bathmat. Weird pillows. There was a nightclub somewhere right outside our room. On Saturday, it was incredibly noisy until about 2:00AM. Location is just okay. We preferred the area south of the water, near Ole Bulls Plass, prettier with better restaurants.

la chambre n'était pas selon j'ai vu online, vraiment inferieur; et le service de chambre pas bon. Notre chambre n'a pas été nettoyé un jour et, lorsque j'ai parlé au personnel dans l'accueil il n'a rien fait. Nous avons acheté le petits deje pour tous les jours, il y avait un jour ou nous avions besoin de partir avant l'horaire du peti dej, mais ils nous ont rassuré qu'ils allait laisser une boite avec notre petit deje. Mais, le contenu de cette boite a été si mauvais que nous avons viré dans la poubelle

Beautiful hotel

Room was hot so needed to open windows. Noisy outside. Poor sleep.

Location

The housekeeping and cleanliness of the hotel was horrible. There were no towels on the first day we checked in and didn’t clean up the room on the subsequent days until we notified the front desk.

Great location

No air on and room was very hot, luckily we managed to open the window overnight

Bottle pump for the shower gel was kinda broken. The shower booth had this two swing glass door that meet half way and it was quite small. I am quite sensitive to scent and the room smelled like a dog. We booked this hotel, seeing there is a bath option for the room type we chose but there actually wasn't.

Nice room, excellent breakfast and great location by the railway station.

Breakfast was fabulous. Really excellent selection and there was an extra room for dining which was much quieter and suited our family. But the best reason for booking this hotel is the stunning view. Right on the waterfront and looking towards Bryggen. Just beautiful and the beds were extremely comfy.

Room could have been cleaner. I dropped a biscuit o the floor and wiped it up with some tissue. There was dust, hair and dirt all over it and we'd just arrived. Also found someone else's sock under the bed! The rooms are very small, but I guess you're there fir the view not the room. But it wasnt quite as luxurious as the price suggested.

I usually like staying in smaller, boutique hotels and was hesitant to book a larger "chain", but this was the overall best hotel of our 2-week trip to Scandinavia. The room was spacious, the water pressure in the shower was great (and the water didn't get all over the bathroom like most showers in Europe!) and the view of Bryggen and the funicular were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I can honestly say that I can't think of anything.

Excelente ubicación.

We loved the hand hewn timber frame integrated with Scandinavian design, and our little window that opened up over the water and boardwalk.

We didn’t appreciate the idea that we needed to book a time to use the pool or the sauna at a relatively expensive rate when we’ve already paid a pretty substantial price for the room itself.

Absolutely incredible views across the water of Bryggen; comfy bed; good variety at breakfast; friendly staff; and a really awesome shower. Two thumbs up!

La prima stanza che c’è stata assegnata aveva problemi con le luci ed era molto buia oltre al fatto che la porta non si chiudeva bene. Ho segnalato la reception la questione e mi è stata data una camera alternativa.

The hotel was well located for Bergen, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable and the room was small but well appointed.

The bathroom could do with a deeper clean. There were some small black mould spots which should not be there based on the high cost of the room. The breakfast was not included in the price and for £250 a night for a small room that faced an office, it really should be. The additional price for breakfast worked out at £24 per person, per day. There are probably better hotels a short walk from the centre that are better value especially as everything is walkable around the city and our room didn't have a view anyway.

Old hotel, low quality services (bar closed on Sunday), everything was old and with signs on extreme use in the room, cleaning services superficial. Low quality for the money.

The location was good. The food and service in the restaurant was good, as was the breakfast buffet.

The room was extremely small with minimal spots to open your luggage. There were no shelves in the bathroom and only two small hooks. It was extremely warm in the room, but the hotel is on a busy road so it was too noisy to leave the window open. The hotel provided a small table fan, but it too was very noisy. For $350 a night I expected more.

The hotel was very central and the room was spotless. There was a very wide range of food available for breakfast, however I found the 9.30 a.m closing time a little early

Buffet du petit déjeuner très bien, pour tous les goûts et tous les appétits Hôtel très bien situé, permet déplacement à pieds pour visiter le port, le vieux Bergen, etc. Proche également du marché aux poissons, de l'office du tourisme et des nombreux restaurants.

The hotel has an excellent location, with all the main attractions and points of interest within a very short distance. The layout of the room was very convenient; however, there was a strong musty smell. The rooms do not have air conditioning, so it was extremely hot inside. The lobby staff did their best to help by providing two portable fans, as the one in the room was not working properly. In terms of amenities, the room does not have a telephone to contact the front desk, which is a real inconvenience. Any question or request requires going all the way down to reception. Regarding breakfast, it was varied, the food was good, and there was plenty of space for all the guests. Considering the price per night, I believe the hotel should make its check-in process more efficient. On the day of my arrival, I was told that check-in was at 3:00 p.m., but I still had to wait quite a while before receiving my room.
