The downstairs lobby was very nice, comfortable and inviting. Loved the afternoon tea. Breakfast was good. Light dinner was wonderful to have available by very repetitive, so not for more than one night. Staff was very nice, friendly, helpful and accommodating with luggage holds, etc. The location was great!

View of office courtyard, lit all night. The bed was saggy. Not comfortable and the comforter was in two parts, so didn't cover.

All round the hotel exceeded our expectations. Staff were great and very helpful. The evening meal which was included in our stay was tasty and good value. This was served as a buffet option. The lounge was always very welcoming after a Bergen wet day!

The evening meal cut off time seemed quite prompt. I would have prefered it to be later, this would as well stop the busy period from which the meal is offered.

Breakfast good, buffet dinner was good and a nice amenity for just a one night stay while we were still jet lagged.

This Hotel was in the best location. The staff were so helpful and nothing seemed to be a bother. The breakfast and light dinner were exceptional. We didn’t stay for afternoon tea as we were out and about. The Hotel also offer a steam room and Sauna. We used the sauna and it was just what we needed. Overall we were so happy we stayed here.

Keine Dienstleistungen, weder im Zimmer noch beim Frühstück und Nachtessen. Bei einer zeitigen Abreise in der Früh Richtung Flughafen, keine Flexibilität betreffend Frühstück, konsequent erst ab 7 Uhr. Qualität und Dienstleistung beim Nachtessen wie in einer Kantine.

Location and they saved dinner for us as we arrived late.

Had booked taxi with front desk two days before departure to catch flight but taxi did not come and staff did not go out of their way to give any recommendation. Simply said Taxi has not been dispatched. Had to call Uber by myself and was more than 30 mins late compared to original plan. I relied on staff input to take taxi rather than airport bus and had unnecessary stress.

We enjoyed the walkable location on the Bergen waterfront. It was close enough to walk to everything without being right in the middle of all tourist activities. The room was spotless with a nice view if a bit small. The hotel provided a wonderful breakfast buffet and a free simple dinner; a homestyle main dish and a small buffet of sides. The dinner came in handy when we came back tired from a full day excursion. No need to race out to a restaurant, or worry about having a reservation. There is a nice bar on site and a lovely rooftop lookout if you ask the front desk for the key.

There wasn’t much luggage or hanging space in the room. Also, the bedding was just a duvet which was too warm for mid-summer, even in Norway.

The location is superb, right on the quayside at Bryggen. Comfortable room, breakfast and dinner were good. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.

Was given an upgraded room which was a lovely suite. Wonderful harbor views. Great breakfast also. For most, a very comfortable bed however, I need a little more support. A bit soft for me.

There was a bunch of construction going on that was distracting and had to be navigated around but that's it. A great 1 night stay and easy walk to our cruise ship.

The hotel is extremely well located. Staff are welcoming and the rooms are a good size. Breakfast has a plentiful selection, and the evening supper is a great idea. Afternoon tea and cookies round off the homey feeling.

The carpets are a bit old, and the bathrooms in need of a spruce up, but then this wouldn’t most like lead to increased prices.

Disappointed in bedroom - felt claustrophobic - bed was too soft,felt you has to stay away from edge in case you fell out - very poor storage,bedside cabinets would have been better than just a shelf.

It’s really nice! But the room for 2 nights 850€ with some problems in bathroom (not comfortable shower) and some not fresh things in the room - it’s disappointing.

- price - not fresh repair, there are things that need fixing

Que l on doive utiliser des verres en matières recyclées pour la boisson du goûter m a beaucoup surpris. Ces verres qui finissent à la poubelle. De vraies tasses correspondaient mieux au standing de l hôtel et à son esprit écologique. Mais c est un détail. Tout le reste est parfait

El hotel está perfectamente situado para ver Bergen, salir de crucero, compras... No entiendo los comentarios que hablan mal de la cena. A nosotros nos encantó, tenían muchas cosas, todas ricas y reponían continuamente. El desayuno muy bueno y variado, muy destacable el salmón ahumado en cantidades industriales. Para los precios que hay en Noruega, dormir, cenar y desayunar dos personas, está genial. La cama cómoda, el baño con buena presión en la ducha... En fin, repetiríamos sin dudarlo

All inclusive rate (dinner, bed, breakfast) worked well. Excellent location on the Bryggen. Walking distance to Cruise Terminal.

Excellent location, especially if you are spending a few days in Bergen coming off a cruise ship. It is walkable from the cruise port, but with luggage, we opted for a taxi. Extremely close to the lovely Bryggen shops. High ceilings in room made it feel spacious. Thick walls helped deaden hallway sounds. Lovely reception area. Charming old building.

Felt that room was worn and underwhelming for the price that we paid. (Almost $1,000 USD for two nights in a basic room.) The curtains didn't work. The throw pillows on the beds were sad. Bed linens were clean, but not crisp and inviting. Very little counter space in bathroom. Hair that wasn't ours in the shower. Hotel seems to be popular with travel groups. Lot's of people coming in and out. Road construction with jackhammers right outside our room that lasted from 8a to midnight. (Not the hotel's fault, but they could have compensated us somehow.)

Everything, especially the staff were great. The breakfast and dinner were wonderful. The elevator had some hiccups but we only had to use the stairs once. Terrific location, wonderful lobby, great food and outstanding staff.

The view into the courtyard wasn't appealing, but what can you do?!

The room was slightly small, as were the bananas at the breakfast. The latter led to my wife making an inappropriate joke at my expense which I took personally, completely ruining the remainder of the vacation.

L'hôtel est très bien situé et le personnel à la réception est très agréable. Cependant, l'hôtel pratique une politique en faveur de l'environnement et le ménage des chambres n'est pas fait. Il faut le demander ... Aucune information en ce sens dans les chambres. Pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, ce n'est pas acceptable. Les clients doivent être clairement informés de cela et de la procédure à suivre pour "quémander" un ménage.

Le ménage sur demande. Il faudrait mieux informés les clients. Dans les chambres, aucune instruction ne figure ...

Il y en aurait eu beaucoup à souligner : emplacement, charme du bâtiment, niveau de prestations et confort de la chambre. Mais il est difficile de les apprécier pleinement lorsqu’on est réveillé à 6 h 30 par un chantier sous la fenêtre et que la réponse apportée ensuite à la réclamation reste aussi décevante.

Nous avions choisi cet hôtel, pourtant cher, pour passer confortablement notre dernière nuit en Norvège. Nous avons malheureusement été réveillés à 6 h 30 par d’importants travaux juste sous la fenêtre de notre chambre, avec grues et engins de chantier, rendant impossible toute fin de nuit. Nous comprenons parfaitement que l’hôtel ne soit pas responsable du chantier lui-même. En revanche, nous avons été très déçus de ne pas avoir été informés à l’avance de ces nuisances alors qu’elles étaient manifestement connues de l’établissement. Le plus regrettable a été la façon dont notre réclamation a ensuite été traitée. Après avoir demandé à rencontrer le manager, il nous a simplement été indiqué que l’hôtel avait déjà essayé de discuter avec l’entreprise de travaux sans parvenir à résoudre le problème, que nos remarques concernant l’absence d’information seraient transmises aux collègues, et que, pour le reste, nous devions adresser un courrier. Nous attendions d’un établissement de ce standing une prise en charge beaucoup plus attentive d’une situation ayant directement affecté la qualité de notre nuit. Aucune véritable solution ni geste commercial ne nous a été proposé sur place. Au final, nous avons payé le prix d’un hôtel haut de gamme sans bénéficier de ce qui reste pourtant l’essentiel d’une nuit d’hôtel : pouvoir dormir dans de bonnes conditions. La gestion de notre réclamation a malheureusement renforcé notre déception.

The location is good, and the breakfast, fika, and dinner were all very good — the food was well beyond my expectations.

The reception team was pleasant, but it was clear they hadn’t been properly trained. On a few occasions they gave inaccurate information in an effort to please rather than taking the time to confirm the facts. The main lift was very slow and the rooms were not cleaned well. Water was coming out of the shower and safe didn't work. I will not stay in this hotel again.

We had chosen this hotel, despite its high price, to spend our last night in Norway in comfort. Unfortunately, we were woken at 6:30 a.m. by major construction work directly outside our room, including cranes and heavy machinery, making it impossible to get any more sleep. We fully understand that the hotel itself is not responsible for the construction work. However, we were very disappointed that we had not been informed in advance about these disturbances, especially as the situation was clearly already known to the hotel. What was even more disappointing was the way our complaint was handled. After asking to speak with the manager, we were simply told that the hotel had already tried to discuss the issue with the construction company without success, that our comments regarding the lack of prior information would be passed on to colleagues, and that for anything further we should send a written complaint. For a hotel of this standard, we expected a much more attentive response to a situation that had directly affected the quality of our night. No real solution or meaningful gesture of compensation was offered on site. In the end, we paid the price of a high-end hotel without receiving what should be the most basic expectation of any overnight stay: the ability to sleep properly. Unfortunately, the way our complaint was handled only added to our disappointment.

Slow elevators

Beautiful lobby area. A very clean room. The only drawback was the roof cut through the ceiling of our room and my husband is 6'5". It made it difficult for him to get in and out of bed. But, we liked the size and it was very clean. The hotel staff are wonderful and so accommodating. Very extensive breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised by the offerings for the dinner. We would definitely recommend this to others.

Knowing what we know now, we would have requested a room on the 5th floor so the ceiling wouldn't have been an issue.

Location was optimal, bed was super comfortable, gym was an added bonus and the food was excellent.

Properly didn’t offer lower rates without dinner for multiple evenings. I would have preferred to stay here multiple nights, eat there once and try other local restaurants for dinner

Kahvaltısı yeterli değil, akşam yemeği ise hiç yeterli değil, özellikle akşam yemeği fiyatın içinde dahil olduğu için tercih etmiştik fakat buna hiç değmezmiş akşam yemeği çok yetersizdi, sadece tek bir ana yemek çıkıyor onda da bizim olduğumuz akşamlardan birinde domuz eti çıkmıştı o nedenle ana yemek yiyemeyip daha aparatif yiyeceklerle idare etmek zorunda kaldık
