A localização é fantastica e o staff super cordial
Grand Hotel Excelsior gave us the most incredible stay! The hotel is positioned in the perfect location near the center of town, but then also remains peaceful in the hotel. The service was impeccable and views were stunning. We will definitely be back!
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, the staff were friendly and professional, and the room was beautiful, spacious, and spotless. Everything was well taken care of, and the atmosphere was elegant, relaxing, and welcoming. It was truly a memorable experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Magnificent hotel unrivalled location! A step back in time, old worldly charm with the facilities and service that are totally unique and I think unrivalled in the modern world
Perfectly possessed in the center of Sorrento. This hotel is spectacular and the staff is attentive and welcoming. You feel like family.
For those who appreciate a truly exceptional luxury experience in a beathtakingly beautiful setting, this hotel delivers. Evening aperitifs overlooking the bay of naples with live music are unparalleled. The hotel is impeccably; well managed and is truly worthy of its five star rating. Family owned and operated-reared for almost 200 years, it blends timeless old world luxury with every modern necessity.
Went to enjoy cocktails whilst watching the sun set. Staff welcoming and we were seated on the outside veranda with great views over the coastline. Cocktails served with style. Evening spoilt by a lady having video/ photos taken throughout the evening at the piano so centre stage. Appeared to be for the hotel itself but no explanation given by staff, no consent obtained or alternative seating offered. Went for a special evening but at times felt really uncomfortable - not quite what I expected. Seems odd for a prestigious venue to not consider customer experience and privac.
We came to celebrate our son's birthday at the hotel, but it felt like our kids were not welcome at the hotel. Before booking the hotel I asked if kids were welcome in the pool and got a yes as reply. Our first day in the pool there were issues with another guest from the hotel not being happy with kids there. The hotel manager Tiziana Laterza and her friend (who was the guest being unhappy with our kids at the pool) were also at the restaurant that same evening and they were both not pleased with the kids appearance at the restaurant celebrating the birthday. The hotel manager sent the kids to another part of the hotel with a football near an unmonitored car park so they couldn't disturb anyone. It does not seem responsible to send kids to play where there is a risk from cars driving in and out plus there was no hotel staff near to look after kids or cars. It is interesting because the hotel manager in a post describes how the hotel embraces diverse realities that must coexist and here highlighting families with small children. But apparently the diversity is not welcomed everywhere at the hotel. There wasn't a single recognition from the hotels side of my son's birthday, everything that was actioned was on our own behalf, arranging cakes, balloons etc. There was not a single card or a friendly gesture from staff. We have spent my son's birthdays at other 5 stars hotels around the world with way better service. We had a dinner at Terezza Bosquet and were advised the 12 courses would take 3 hours. It ended up taking 4 hours with a lot of waiting in between the courses. There were a few highlights but most was a mediocore experience, especially the coffee dessert experience was off. The property - and especially at L'orangerie - is full of mosquitos. We did not feel our kids were welcome at the hotel. With that said the hotel is beautiful, most of the staff very kind and helpful and the food at L'Orangerie was good.
Avoid avoid The manager of the hotel Tiziana is rude horrible this is not a place for family with kids . She put our kids in a dangerous .Avoid avoid avoid + full of mosquitos even with spray crazy . 3 nights here waste of time .nightmare
I cannot recommend the Excelsior Virttoria enough! The hotel and gardens were beautiful! Dinner at Terrazza Bosquet was a highlight! The staff were absolutely EXCEPTIONAL - so attentive and accommodating! Our room was spacious, well maintained, and cleaned. There were so many special touches that made the experience beyond expectations. We will definitely be staying here again!
The hotel goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. We were there with our kids, and we also saw a lot of couples, and everyone was made to feel welcome. Staff is accommodating, friendly, and professional
Frühstück war sehr gut aber nicht überwältigend
Tiefgarage!
Back home to my cottage, cases unpacked and now just photos and memories to share...memories, here's but a few, Bellinis at sunset on that most celebrated of Terraces ( hats off to young Rafael, a gem in the making) our rooms kept immaculately (thank you Dora), the pool team always willing and helpful....with the pool at perfect cooling temperature....not to forget the garden team, our youngest found perfect tranquility listening to her music from the comfort of the hammock under the lemon trees. Must not forget breakfast with its abundance of treats....initially (after a few attempts) disappointed not to find a table at the "posh" restaurant, but golly gosh her younger sister (L'Orangerie) was a delight. Professional staff, yet relaxed with splendid food to match. Indeed a treat. Overall, this Grande Dame excels in each and every department. A very special Hotel with a team that exceeds every expectation. Thank you....Winter awaits but with a fair wind we will return yet again to enjoy some magic on the Sorrentine Penisular.
Popped in for a very nice drink at sunset. Gorgeous location. Minimum spend €25pp but easily done with some drinks. Genuinely brilliant live music and atmosphere. Service was so good. We didn’t stay so I can’t comment on the rooms. The bar was very clean and quite chilled in terms of noise.
A very breath taking experience, the hotel sits on immaculate grounds that is so meticulously maintained that it looks effortless. Our deluxe room with ocean view was remarkable.

This hotel is just amazing, staff are all so friendly and helpful, everything was just perfect. Food quality and cleanliness was superb.
Everything Thanks to Aurora Anna Camilla Giovanni Francesco Frederica Concetta
History, facilities, design, location and staff were amazing
Wifi could be better
Amazing hotel and service, wifi in rooms is a little off. But everything else was amazing. Catello who works in the breakfast area was such an amazing host made us feel so welcome and truly an asset to the place
Great location, just an elevator ride down to the marina. Beautiful facility, very friendly and welcoming staff. Great for family with kids.
Our stay at Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with exceptional professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. The hotel is impeccably maintained, beautifully presented, and spotless throughout. We had the pleasure of dining at Terrazza Bosquet and the Pool Terrace Restaurant, and both experiences were outstanding. The cuisine, service, and atmosphere were truly first-class and reflected the excellence of the hotel. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional, making this an unforgettable experience. We will absolutely return in the future and will highly recommend Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria to our family, friends, and colleagues. Thank you for delivering such an extraordinary level of hospitality.
A once in a lifetime experience! The hotel and its grounds were absolutely gorgeous! The staff was so knowledgeable, kind, professional and incredibly attentive!
A beautiful jewel in the heart of Sorrento. With spectacular views that inspire your imagination. The entire staff was amazing we were welcomed with open arms and warms hearts by everyone; creating beautiful memories for a lifetime.
Everything
Fantastic stay! From the moment we were greeted at arrival, until the porter drove us and our luggage down to the dock to board our charter to Positano, we were so impressed with the level of service. The property is remarkable and is located in the heart of everything. Our views from the balcony overlooking Naples Bay, Mount Vesuvius and the coast were breathtaking, and the sunsets!! We will be back!
Best Heritage property, prime location, efficient concierge and amzing food experience.. prine location very near to shopping and restaurants..
Amazing, this is our 5th visit - everything about this hotel is class, without any stuffiness - staff are superb, nothing to much trouble. Central location, with breathtaking views at the back where you can a drink and enjoy the sunset.
Absolutely perfect , everything was truly amazing, beautiful, staff was great very helpful and sweet , a dream vacation
We just came home from a 6-night stay in the Excelsior Vittoria hotel. It saddens us that our stay was average, even below average. Before coming to Sorrento we wrote to the concierge, asking to organize some excursions for us. I had to write three times before getting any answer (I even called between the 2nd and 3 mail as I thought there maybe were some technical issues). We booked 3 dinners in the restaurant Terraza Bosquet. After the first evening however we had to cancel the remaining evenings. We were seated at the table furthest to the left (in the area where there are only two tables). When the waiter was describing each dish, we couldn’t hear him at all over the noise from the table next to us. We told him three times that we couldn’t hear him, but got no response. The wines were very good, but the food was truly very, very mediocre. We dined at Restaurant George (Naples), Don Alfonso and Il Buco; each of these three restaurants is far, far better than Terraza Bosquet – there is simply no comparison. Before making the reservation I asked for the temperature of the pool, as we like very much to swim. I was told the pool was heated to 28-29°C. This was certainly not the case. The pool was way too cool. During the week passed at your hotel, we were only able to swim once, as the temperature was very cold. During the 6 days I only saw 2 persons having the courage to go in (a grandfather playing with his granddaughter). Plus there is this awful music, every day the same songs, we asked several times to stop the music, as I think everybody by the pool wants to relax, this however was not possible. We stayed in rooms 122-123. The views were astonishing. The cleaning was done efficiently. The WIFI however almost never worked. The moment we left the hotel for the town, all messages came suddenly through our phone. It was almost impossible to buy a new book on Kindle, I had to download 6 or 7 times. This is unacceptable. I asked for 4 large bottles of sparkling water every day, some days we received them, the last days I had to ask 3 times for the bottles to be delivered. We wanted to inform you so you could know. Some standards are really not met by this hotel. In addition: we wrote this email to the owner, and concierge of the hotel. However, 1.5months after our stay, still got no reply...
Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Sorrento - but with the feel of being in a private garden. Highly recommend!! The views are spectacular and the rooms deliver on the five star experience. The breakfast buffet is extensive and in a gorgeous ballroom with spectacular views. When in town, you walk down a long garden path to get to the entrance. The terrace views are unrivaled. The elevator to the harbor is a special treat and make boat days relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. The Concierge are wonderful and helped set up numerous reservations- for restaurants and activities. The people at the hotel greeted us by name and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend
The Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria is the peak of perfection. Small details like fresh flowers in the room and a very attentive staff compliment the gorgeous grounds and ideal location.
Wow, just wonderful. We went as a family and were upgraded to a beautiful suite with sea views. The location was perfect and just beautiful. Orange and lemon trees and fragrant flowers everywhere. Great service and one of the best breakfasts I have had in a hotel ever. We all enjoyed the pool and got massages in the spa. High recommend!
World class hotel which has improved over the years.... this time one of the improvements was the introduction of "to order" eggs/ omelettes at the excellent breakfast. Pool, housekeeping, bar, management (Tiziana and the family) and all staff are marvelous....nice to see strong continuity of staff. Lunch at the Orangerie was very pleasant... but sometimes pizzas and club sandwiches were a little disappointing.... Dinner at Le Bosquet was an experience - though better if the terrace is open rather than having to eat indoors. Do book a room with a view over the bay! We hope to be back shortly.....
This is one of the loveliest properties I’ve stayed at. Its staff is kind and attentive, without being fussy. Our room was enormous (double room) with a living room. Our bathroom was luxurious. The hotel has all the amenities you could wish for housed in a timeless, graceful palazzo. I absolutely loved everything about our stay.
I didn’t like having to leave so soon. Retorno presto.
We have stayed in many fine hotels around the world, but this is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The service and people were absolutely wonderful from start to finish - warm and friendly, eager to help, responsive, and a true joy. The views we had from the terrace and our balcony were incredible. The restaurants on the property were excellent - breakfast, lunch on the terrace, and Bosquet were all delicious and luxurious. The property makes you feel like you are in a private mansion. My daughter’s first trip to Italy was made incredibly special by this wonderful hotel and its lovely people, and we will definitely be back, to the best hotel in Sorrento.
We have traveled all over the world and have stayed at some amazing places; this hotel is one of the best hotels in the world, worthy of a good review. It’s the details that matter here. The room: from the plush, oversized bath towels, thick bath mats, Dyson hairdryer, ample clothes hangers, to the high quality toilet tissue… high quality comfortable bed, bedding and pillows… heated floors, a scale and makeup mirror in the bathroom.. to the turndown service with plenty of aqua pana water… our stay was beyond comfortable. We spent each morning and evening on our balcony enjoying the pristine view. Service: the service was consistently exceptional from our check in (greeting us by name as our driver pulled up to the hotel) to our 4 am checkout where they toted our bags to our early morning ride to the airport. Restaurant service was consistently prompt without being overbearing. The hotel has a very convenient elevator that takes you down to the port via a private (hotel guest use only) tunnel. Everything about our stay was wonderful. Highly recommend lunch on their terrace. Their pasta is some of the best in Italy. We booked via the Amex fine hotels and resorts website and got a room upgrade upon arrival. Overall a spectacular stay and experience. Tip: we typically rent a car when in Italy and are very comfortable driving all over the country. We ditched the car for this trip and it’s something I would do again. Parking is difficult here. The hotel is in a fabulous location and you can get anywhere via walking. If you want to visit Capri or the Amalfi coast, do so via hired boat or car service.

Excellent location , very comfortable and clean
I liked everything about this hotel
The hotel and its' surroundings is beautiful and it has been since it was built, but it is the staff that made this property shines. The rooms were newly renovated felt very luxurious which is rare for a historical hotel this calibre. The staff are the true beating heart of this property. Constanza at house keeping was kind to us and help to care for my mother and her mobility issue, she went out of her way to make us feel that we were at home ( albeit a luxurious one). Aurora the hostess at the terrace lounge went out of her way to make my introverted daughter felt welcome. She was informative, attentive, and kind. Her genuine kindness will always be remembered by my daughter and is one of the highlight of her stay at the hotel. No words can describe the property and its' beauty, one should always experience it themselves.
Very impressive property , location, dining and decoration with historical storry. The dinner was very refine and delicious.
One of the best hotels my wife and I have had the pleasure to visit. Can't beat the location (right off the Corso Italia), and the patio in our room offered a stunning view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Additionally, the service was truly 5-star, putting this resort in a rarefied league of hotels and resorts. Finally, if you're a foodie, I would suggest making a reservation at their Michelin-starred restaurant far in advance. We arrived in late April and found it fully booked for the duration of our stay. That said, there are many wonderful restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommended.
Very enjoyable vacation celebrating my birthday. This is truly something to remember. The location was perfect for all events
The location and hotel itself are truly spectacular! Despite this, my experience was not as idyllic as other guests. I booked this hotel nearly a year in advance, relying on the descriptions and images presented on the website. I initially booked a Deluxe Junior Suite Sea View – Terrace (sleeps three) and explicitly requested TWO beds, as reflected in the description indicating “double beds” , connecting room and a sofa bed On April 12, I emailed to inquire about an upgrade. I was offered a DOUBLE upgrade to a Suite Deluxe Sea View at half the upgrade cost. The description of this upgraded suite states that it sleeps four, includes a full sea view, and offers a separate living area, with either a king-size bed or twin beds . I I accepted the upgrade and sent a follow-up email requesting confirmation of TWO beds. Upon arrival, I was brought to our “suite" What in reality, was simply one room with two beds and minimal furnishings (picture attached) This does not align with any reasonable or standard definition of a suite, nor does it match what is advertised on the website for Junior Suite Deluxe or the Deluxe suite, which referenced "a separate living area and accommodations for up to four guests." When I brought this to the attention of the Front Desk personnel, I was informed that “not all suites are the same” and that the building’s age accounts for discrepancies between what is shown online and what is actually provided. The front desk manager repeated the same explanation. At that point, I was left wondering if they truly believed I was that ignorant. After much discussion, I was offered a two-room suite, with the caveat that it had a king bed that could not be separated, and that a rollaway bed could be placed in the other room. Again, this was not what I booked or what was confirmed. At that point, I presented all of my email correspondence confirming both the upgraded suite category and the confirmed request for two beds. I also showed them the descriptions of the suites on the website and they acted like they had never seen them. They stated they needed to “speak with marketing" Obviously, the hotel did not have a suite reserved, matching what I had booked and confirmed, and instead attempted to substitute something inferior while still charging the agreed rate. To summarize, I was shown a single room with two beds and minimal furnishings, presented as a “Deluxe Suite,” because, the building’s age justifies discrepancies between advertising and reality. It is an issue of inaccurate representation and failure to deliver what was advertised and booked. Ultimately, the front desk manager provided us with the Pavarotti Suite. A gorgeous suite, which we very much enjoyed and appreciated . However, the path to that resolution is the issue. A more appropriate approach would have been to acknowledge that the reserved room type was unavailable and proactively offer a comparable or superior alternative. Yes, they ultimately did the right thing. However, the situation was handled in a way that dismissed my credibility as a client. They tried to take the low road in a high end luxury category.
If you are looking for a truly 5 star experience while in Sorrento, then the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria is the place to stay. Everything about this Hotel is top of the line. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best. Would stay here again without hesitation.
A truly grand hotel. The hard product and more importantly the people make this a truly great place to stay. Warm and friendly service very professional from dining to housekeeping everything is perfection. Memorable!
This hotel is genuinely one of the most incredible hotels I have ever stayed in! The service, the staff, the food everything is above and beyond!
Staying at your hotel felt nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of warmth, beauty, and effortless elegance that made every day feel like a dream. The setting was breathtaking—sunlight dancing over the ocean and Sorrento coast from the view on our balcony, the lush gardens, and other views that seemed pulled straight from a postcard. The atmosphere was so serene, yet every corner of the grounds were so full of life and history, with thoughtful details that made the stay feel truly special. It was an experience that captured the romance and soul of Sorrento perfectly, and one my wife and I will never forget!
The property enjoys one of the best locations in Sorrento. You enter through meticulously maintained spectacular grounds that make every entry and departure a pleasure. The staff is exceptional and the hotel is beautiful and fascinating all at once. Dinner at Terraza Bosquet is a truly unforgettable experience. In short, a stay in the Hotel Vittoria is itself a memorable vacation.
The location and staff

Wow! As soon as you turn into the secure driveway from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento main drag, you enter absolute serenity. The staff are so polite and welcoming. This is a proper 5* hotel…. Traditional, comfortable and discrete. Can’t wait to go back!
Superb in every way

Stupendo
un hotel precioso, con servicio de maravilla, restaurante michelin, 100 puntos!
Struttura eccezionale personale gentilissimo e molto preparato
Die Aussicht war fantastisch. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Dieses Hotel war eines der besten in das je war. Ich fand es ähnlich schön wie in Nizza im Negresco.
Ganz billig ist es nicht.
Amazing location, really 5 stars and a magnificent customer service/concierge team. We got upgraded to a suite and the room was incredibly nice, comfortable and a breathtaking view.
We’ve stayed at beautiful hotels around the world, but the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento is truly in a class of its own. From the moment you walk through the gates, the property feels like a private, elegant estate perched above the sea — lush gardens, citrus trees, manicured pathways, and a timeless sense of charm. Our room overlooked the Bay of Naples, and waking up to those views was unforgettable. The pool area is equally stunning — peaceful, spacious, and surrounded by greenery, with service that’s attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The breakfast buffet was another highlight. Fresh pastries, fruit, Italian specialties, and made-to-order options, all enjoyed on a terrace with sweeping views… the perfect start to each day. Evenings at the hotel feel like a scene from a classic Italian film. There’s live music drifting through the gardens, guests settling in with an aperitivo, and a warm, elegant energy that makes you want to linger. And the sunsets — especially from the rooftop — are something we’ll never forget. Watching the sky fade into soft pinks over the marina with a glass of wine in hand was truly magical. If you’re visiting Sorrento and want an experience that’s luxurious, romantic, and authentically Italian, this is the place. We can’t wait to return.
Excellent experience! Beautiful hotel. Great location. Our three bedroom suite was more than we expected. Truly enjoyable experience.
The building is the former summer palace of the queen of Sweden. The rooms are large, very well appointed, comfortable with beautiful views of the Ligurian Sea and Naples. Apart for the beauty of the hotel, the service is spectacular. We would stay here again on our next visit to Sorrento.
My stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is elegant and well-managed from the moment you arrive. The staff are professional and pay great attention to detail. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. Service was quick and responsive. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection and great quality. The location is perfect, close to all major attractions. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely stay here again. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Beautiful setting with beautiful rooms
Expensive
I am rarely able to relax on vacations but the service at this hotel is so superior that it allows me to check out, not think and relax. Their staff thinks of everything so I can relax and be in the moment with my family and friends. It was here that I was able to perfect the art of sitting at a table and enjoying a meal for 3 hours - a very foreign concept for this American who works 120 hours a week and eats every meal at a desk. The food is outstanding and every morning we got to experience the most incredible breakfast buffet under the most magnificent hand painted ceiling. The owners do a great job continually improving the property, every detail is thought of. You can feel the warmth from the moment you arrive and I promise you will never want to leave this gorgeous property because the staff will make you feel like you are at home.
Lovely hotel in a central location, which is beautifully kept with manicured gardens. The hotel itself is quite grand and steeped in history. The decor is cosy with lots of antiquities around every corner, and it is spotless, welcoming and very comfortable indeed. Breakfast is a true delight with something for everyone. My favourite was the table with the endless cakes, and more importantly a smiley welcome every morning on arrival. Stunning views too from your breakfast table. There is a Michelin starred restaurant there which is both a gastronomical feast, and a visual delight. Staff though Italian, explain each course so well in English, with such attention to detail, describing the ingredients very clearly. This restaurant is a MUST DO !!!!! If I could offer one tip, I would say spend a little extra for a sea view. We were in room 244 and it was a most beautiful room, with stunning views. Lots of complimentary goodies in the fridge which is so rare nowadays, so this was very welcome and appreciated. Huge shout out to the fabulous Tiziana, who works tirelessly to ensure a great stay is had by all, to Josie, Mauro, Francesco ( both of them !) Federica, Carmine, Pasquale & to the housekeepers. The staff work hard to make the stay enjoyable, to help and assist and they do a great job. See you again soon GHEV, and thank you again for a very enjoyable week x
We had an amazing week at this fantastic hotel. It really is 5 star luxury all the way from booking to departure. The staff were superb always smiling and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice and excellent service. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and linens. We ate one night at the Terrazza Bosquet restaurant which was a real treat for us and was really superb. Check out for us was brilliant as they allowed us to keep the room until we left at 4.30, although I doubt they would be able to do that in peak season. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our golden wedding here and could not have asked for more.
My wife and I had cocktails on the veranda overlooking the Bay of Naples just before and during sunset. We were lucky that the guard at the beginning of the long walkway from the Piazza Tasso let us by since we did not have a reservation and were not staying at the hotel. I ordered the Viandante sul mare di nebbia - quite possibly the best cocktail I have ever had!! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her drink as well.
Stunning hotel. The room was wonderfully decorated, the view from our terrace was lovely. Lucky us to not only have a view of the gardens, but also a side view of the sea. The eye to detail and service was Prim' ordine! Everything from check in to check out was perfezione!
I am very particular about hotels...ambiance, cleanliness, hotel grounds, and views are a big deal. This was the perfect place to stay. We had a beautiful room with a terrace overlooking Naples bay. The concierge was fantastic and set us up with dinners and a private driver to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. I loved the location. It was in the heart of everything, but set back where it was nice and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again!
A wonderful weekend at the Excelsior Vittoria Hotel. Large spotlessly clean room, excellent central location, beautiful grounds, lovely food and great staff. Close to perfection. We hope to be able to return very soon.
Hotel is in a safe, prime location to walk to shops and restaurants. It sits on the cliff overlooking the water and the hotel has a private lift to get to/from the marina. The property is lined with lemon trees, beautiful shrubbery and is an oasis. Hotel is gorgeous, impeccably clean, and extremely well-maintained. Hotel has an historical, elegant ambiance but with fully modern amenities. We had adequate lighting in the room, plenty of outlets for electronics, and high-end linens. Housekeeping was excellent and provided nightly turn-down service. In-room fridge is stocked with a variety of beverages that are all free (part of resort fee) and replenished daily. Staff are friendly, warm and very service-oriented. Truly 5-star service and amenities. Breakfast buffet was delicious, had tons of cold items but was limited in terms of hot dishes. Room service menu is very expensive and a bit limited. There is a complimentary golf cart shuttle that will take guests to the train station or nearby street upon request. Our single complaint is that the wi-fi did not work well in the bedroom area of our jr suite but was fine in the rest of the room. Hotel was truly wonderful and we cannot wait to return here.
You’ll love this hotel! They upgraded my husband and I upon realizing it was our honeymoon, and the Pompeii suite they provided was next level (two balconies, two bathrooms and living rooms etc). Aside from that incredibly generous upgrade, we also loved the breakfasts, and the dining experience at terrazza bosquet was INSANE. My husband and I had many Michelin dining experiences on the Amalfi coast during our trip and this place was by far the best on the Coast (we’ve even rated it up there with The French Laundry in Napa). For us, Terrazza Bosquet “made” the trip. Overall would highly recommend this hotel and their dining options.
I’ve stayed in the George V in Paris but the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria is better! The staff is attentive and friendly, the facilities are impeccable, and the views are spectacular. The concierge staff did a great job organizing our day trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Capri.
I cannot say enough about this hotel. The room with terrace was beautiful. The staff was amazing! The location was perfect!
The hotel is an oasis in a very busy area. It is set back from the main street, high above the bay. An elevator gives you easy access to the small beach in front of the hotel as well as the marina. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The rooms are quiet, the staff is lovely. We highly recommend!
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything about the property, staff and accommodations are pure luxury. The rooms are incredible with stunning views. The beds and sheets are so comfortable. The rooms extremely clean. The gardens and flowers are stunning. The building has several beautiful rooms to sit and read. The breakfast buffet is the best I have experienced. They have everything you could possibly want plus a piano player playing lovely music. If you have a chance to stay at this hotel, DO IT!! I am dreaming of when I can visit again.
Absolutely incredible stay! The staff and everything there was beyond our wildest dreams. We will be back! The best aperol spritz I’ve ever had.
We highly recommend this magical and grand hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento. The staff were professional, courteous, friendly and attentive. They catered to our every need and made sure that we were comfortable and happy at all times. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful garden suite with a private terrace and other extra amenities. It felt like our own special paradise! The food and drinks were decadent, refreshing and full of creativity. Our dinner at La’ Orangerie, by the pool, was outstanding! Each serving was fresh, full of flavor and creative. The Grand Hotel Excelsior Victoria is centrally located in the main square of Sorrento, giving you easy access to the port, the ferries, the shopping and the restaurants. Thank you for making this one of the most memorable vacations of a lifetime!
Excellent, we recommend this hotel, it has excellent service and amenities. The ambience is warned, its people are always ready to please you.
This is a stunning hotel with top level service and amazing restaurants. The staff are all so friendly and speak great English. If you can afford it, it is worth it! We highly recommend the poolside restaurant and the crepe suzettes for dessert!
View, location, accommodation, staff, owners, food, musicians, facilities - all amazing - lacks nothing at all !!!!!
This is the finest Leading Hotels of the World member I have had the good fortune to visit. The hotel, rooms, restaurants and facilities are excellent. The staff are warm, welcoming and offer gold standard service at every level. Even though it is in the heart of Sorrento and over-looking the marina, the rooms are sound-proofed and nothing interrupts a good night’s sleep. It sits by the main shopping area, a multitude of restaurants, ferries and boats for sight-seeing - and then there is the terrazza over-looking the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius looming in the background. Stunning. It is about an hour’s drive from Pompeii and Ercolano, which cannot be missed. (We had our own guide and spent a total of 6 hours at Pompeii - split over two days - which allowed us to visit the entirety of the vast town. In my opinion, anything less would require speed-walking (!) and risk missing context and detail.) Overall, highly recommended.
Just simply amazing! Highly recommend. The history, the views, the room, and the staff are just perfection, really no words other than you have to go! You truly step back into time. We need more of this in our world. Perfect location to everything in Sorrento.
Such an incredible location and beautiful, relaxing spot in the middle of the busy city. We wished we could stay longer, but had less than 24 hours there. So sad to leave!
You could not dream of a better property in Sorrento! As a home base for travel the location is excellent, plus, waking up to the incredible view of Mt Vesuvius is beyond words. Great location, amazing staff and perfect accommodations. This is the place to stay!
This was the beginning to our Italy travels and we were warmly welcomed. Everything about this Grand Hotel was 5 stars. It is in the town center, surrounded by shopping and restaurants is what we liked the most. They have an elevator that provides easy access to the port below, so no crazy stairs to climb up and down. Ferry services to other locations were easy. I wouldn't go anyplace else if I return in the future.
Service was fantastic. Corrado the concierge made everything happen seamlessly. The terrace for evening cocktails had an exceptional view of Naples Bay. Rooms were very clean and roomy. Air conditioning worked great! Breakfast had a fantastic buffet including omelettes made to order and many types of coffee. Will come back to vacation here again soon.
