Hotel Champlain Burlington, Curio Collection by Hilton

The location was very nice and the view was beautiful.

This hotel does not measure up to a luxury 4 star hotel. The cost of staying here is not worth it and if I knew the quality of the hotel before booking, I would not have wasted money staying here. It’s just a regular Hilton but 3x the price.

We paid $30 per person, per day in advance for breakfast, and the quality and selection did not come close to what we expected for that price. I would be very surprised if upper management is aware of what is actually being offered to guests for this charge. In addition, we were charged for parking and Wi-Fi, along with other amenities that are typically included at many hotels. When paying more than $300 per night, I would expect a higher level of value and more basic amenities to be included. Overall, the additional charges combined with the disappointing breakfast made the stay feel significantly overpriced. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

We had the best dinner and incredible service at Skiff with Moses as our server. He described the food in detail and he made spot-on recommendations for wine, oysters, and the specials. Moses was always nearby and so professional, and in addition, so engaging, warm and friendly. We loved it all and had a 5 star experience.

I had a wonderful experience at Original Skiff at Hotel Champlain. The food was absolutely amazing, and our server, Moses, made the evening even better. He was exceptional, kind, attentive, and genuinely made me feel welcome. Great food and outstanding hospitality—I highly recommend it!

Moses was the BEST server! So knowledgeable, very kind, perfect timing, and took our experience from good to amazing. Probably the best server we’ve ever had. Highly recommend the food and atmosphere here and request Moses if you can!

I was here on business and had the opportunity to eat by myself in the restaurant. Sarah - the hostess was amazing and greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome right away. Bella, my server did an amazing job taking care of me as well! I had their lobster roll and it was amazing!! Definitely will be coming back for both the food and service!

The lake view from the room was beautiful. The hotel is within walking distance from the center of the city. Buffet breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is way overpriced. The room and especially the bathroom were very small. Furniture is outdated and the room could use some fresh paint.

Had a fantastic experience at the restaurant here, Ordinary Skiff — everything about it hit the mark. The food was rich, well-seasoned and delicious, we loved every dish we ordered. The cocktails were fun, creative, and the kind of drinks that make you feel like you're on vacation no matter if you actually are. You could tell Chris behind the bar puts real care and craft into what he does; each drink was thoughtfully made and he gave excellent recommendations. Jonathan, the manager, went above and beyond too, taking time to connect us with other local services and recommendations — that kind of generous hospitality really stands out. Great food, great drinks, and a professional team that clearly cares!

We stayed at Curio on Tuesday night when we flew into Burlington and again on Monday night when we flew out. At the front desk, Anthony, checked us in. He was so kind and helpful both times. We ate the breakfast buffet on mezzanine. It was one of the best buffets I’ve ever eaten. The hotel was so close to everything. It was a perfect location. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Went to the skiff restaurant & was attended by my bartender Chris who displayed excellent service even provided information that was useful to facilitate my order. As well as John the manager lending aid to his workers. Will definitely be coming back every chance I get! Thanks again

My girlfriend and I came here for my birthday weekend...spent 3 hrs riding bikes around town and stopped for dinner and drinks. Chris was our bartender and what an amazing experience.

From very helpful chat with Ella Rose, to check in with Ryhanna, room change accommodation (my request for a room in a higher floor with a better view), and wonderful meal at Original Skiff - with fabulous music provided by Bob Wagner trio - what could be better? Only less than excellent experience was breakfast food at Lily May. Just not as well prepared as expected. But edible.

Another fantastic evening at The Skiff! We don’t get in nearly often enough but the food is always A+, the atmosphere glorious and the team on-point. BUT tonight we had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of having Moses as our server. My goodness. The gent was polished, personable, professional and proud. Best server in Vermont? Quite possibly. See you next time Skiff..,.and we will be requesting Moses again!

We had a lovely time at the hotel over the holidays (Canada Day and July 4th). The staff was really helpful and even helped us print out our boarding passes. The restaurants onsite were good and the hotel was so convenient to the local attractions--just a few minutes walk to the Church Street Marketplace, the waterfront and shops on Pine Street.

Excellent meal and fantastic service at Original Skiff. Moses our server took the time to describe all the meals and was a pleasure. We will return.

If you guys aren’t able to keep Moses, I would like to hire him to be my personal waiter. He can come with me to every restaurant I dine at. I don’t need any other waiters, I need Moses, everywhere I eat.

The hotel was great! Ryhanna was very friendly and welcoming at check-in. We were upgraded to the presidential suite and she had a gift sent to our room for our anniversary. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the lake. They have bikes you can check out to ride around the lake and town. There are coffee/tea/hot chocolate and water stations on each floor. There is a coffee shop with breakfast and pastries as well as a restaurant on site. Highly recommend and would stay here again! We really enjoyed the restaurant. Moses and Gianna provided us with excellent service at Original Skiff. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. Right in the heart of Burlington. The rooms were clean but one of our room’s ac broke, but the hotel moved swiftly and provided us with another room.

We ate at Skiff the 2nd night of our stay. Moses, our server, was not only knowledgeable about the food choices, he was friendly, funny, and very pleasant. He made the whole experience very memorable.

Location and view of lake from our room was fantastic, but for the expensive price I expected more from a Hilton. The maid service was horrible. Made bed in a sloppy manner, gave us new shabby towels and no bathmat. Places to eat in hotel were limited with limited opening times and not much selection. Rooms themselves needed updating. The sink was outside the shower and toilet and it was extremely dark with poor lighting. Also no pool. Sitting outside on the mezzanine was nice.

Most importantly, we would like to give recognition to Ella at the front desk who was most helpful to us as senior citizens. Upon check in she was very welcoming and professional. Each time we passed by the desk she smiled and said hello. She went over and above to see that we were comfortable and able to make our connections for the remainder of our visit. She helped us with bike and uber connections which helped make our last day special. Many thanks to her. Congratulations on hiring such a quality individual. Convenient to waterfront activities and shopping within walking distance. Bikes available at no cost to ride the path along lake front. Plenty of spaces for conversation and fireplaces outside with chairs to sit and visit. Room was very quiet with blackout curtains. Helpful bc sun rises on that side of the hotel. Although we would have enjoyed a lake view, we were satisfied with a city view. Bathroom was tight but adequate.

Great experience overall! Bartenders Chris and Tai were so helpful. The cocktails and deviled eggs were killer. Don’t skip the creemees!

Our stay was exceptional. It was a busy weekend. Long lines at check in. Rooms were not ready on time. But despite that chaos, Natalie made sure our family stay was memorable. We booked the King Panoramic room and wow, wow, wow. Highly recommend this Hilton property. We’ll be back.

We had a wonderful experience with Gianna Morin at Skiff! She was incredible! We really wish there was a TV so that we could watch the World Cup or other sports and it’s very disappointing to come to a hotel without any TV.

We host 150 students at Hotel Champlain twice a year for a multi-day event and the banquets team always works so hard to make it a big success. Banquet captains Joseph and Niven are very professional and helpful. The front desk staff have also been great!

We were here to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the bar area and had so many fabulous drinks and great food! Gabe was awesome!

Ryhanna was always smiling and there was also a smile in voice! Very proud of her hotel and city. Gave us great directions to dinner.

Amazing experience especially for the marathon! This was our first time in Vermont and we will be back!

Excellent hotel right by the lake. I came for the marathon - the start and finish are only a few minutes walk. The front desk was very friendly and did not have any issues with a late check-out so that I could shower after the marathon before going to the airport for my flight home. I was upgraded to a city-view suite which was clean and very well equipped. There was a refreshment station in the hallway available for everyone which had a cappuccino coffee machine, teas, hot chocolate, still and sparkling water from a tap. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning and heating were very effective, great shower water pressure. The elevators were fast. And, an afternoon cheese and deli meat reception open to everyone. No airport shuttle was perhaps the only negative but Uber/Lyft to/from the airport was fast and relatively inexpensive.

Gabe was absolutely amazing, knew his way around an espresso martini like no one else! Super friendly, created an amazing ambiance and made the experience 10/10.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Champlain. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had an amazing view overlooking the lake and the Adirondack Mountains. The location was perfect — easy walking distance to both the waterfront and downtown Burlington. I also really appreciated the thoughtful extra touches throughout the hotel, especially the beverage center on each floor with still and sparkling water, coffee, and tea available anytime. Lily May’s was the perfect way to start the morning. The natural light, maple wood tones, greenery, and relaxing music created such a calm and inviting atmosphere. Everything about the experience felt easy, relaxing, and absolutely delightful. The attached parking was also a huge bonus. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Burlington.

Moses was an excellent server for our elegant anniversary night on the town! The hush puppies with maple butter were top notch, as was everything from fresh oysters to entrees to dessert. We live in Vermont and have our regular choice of culinary establishments, but we will definitely return here for an elevated experience.

The food was awesome. Delicious oysters, the hush puppies were a revelation, I loved the lobster agnoletti, and the snowball in hell was a huge chocolate-y delight. But the service was the real star of the show; probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Moses was so personable, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks, and willing to take the time to explain a little of the background of each dish before we ordered them. We are blessed to live in an area with many great restaurants, but the Original Skiff takes a rightful place toward the top of my list.

No coffee maker in the room. I enjoy coffee when I first wake up. The refreshments (coffee/tea/hoe chocolate) were down the hallway, so I had to get dressed to get my coffee. Not the end of the world, just not as convenient. However, the coffee machine was broken part of my stay, so I had to go to another floor for coffee and ice It was over-priced ($600+ a night), I guess since it was college graduation weekend.

My organization, VBSR, was lucky enough to partner with Hotel Champlain for our annual conference with 450+ guests. The entire staff made the planning process smooth and made me feel incredibly supported throughout. On event day, the entire hotel staff was attentive, caring, professional, and joyful! We got multiple compliments from guests specifically about the Hotel Champlain team. One of our favorite aspects of the space is the extra care you’ve put into the plants, lighting and decór, which were a big selling point when selecting a venue that could provide the right vibe for our event. Thank you so much for everything!

We had dinner at the Skiff last night for graduation and it was excellent! The waiter Moses was outstanding! The food, drinks and atmosphere were amazing! We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

Your reservation got screwed up unfortunately we did not realize that it was booked through a third-party. I called twice to make sure that the reservation OK and they confirmed that it was. In no time did they tell us that they were a third-party booking agency. Upon our arrival, three young ladies at the front desk could not find the reservation. We contacted the third-party vendor who informed us that they did not enter the information correctly. They advised us that they would be entering the information in within a matter of a few hours, and that we should be all set the front desk manager ELLA enter staff Held a room for us until the third-party reservation company could enter the information. They did confirm the front desk that we had a reservation and it was their fault. We left the hotel and went touring for about 2 1/2 hoursand one returned there was still no reservation the front desk team led by ELLA was amazing. Myself and my coworker were advised to stay at this hotel from the assistant chief the hazmat team for the state of Vermont. Our company was coming to do training with multiple jurisdiction, including the state hazmat team from Vermont and many other departments. We also observed that it was graduation weekend, and that many of the hotels were full. Your staff did an job and accommodating us and assisting us to get our reservation at the price we were supposed to and to make sure we were taken care of. I wanted to thank your management team for having such great customer service and people that are so helpful. We were only here Saturday night we are flying out Monday morning at 5 AM but the experience because of the three young ladies at the front desk with the team leaderof ELLA made our trip very successful. I would appreciate if you think that team for the work they did. I understand with today. It is very hard to people that are willing to assist customers. Trust me in my 30+ years in law-enforcement and the fire service and now traveling around the United Statestraining I can’t tell you how many hotels I stay at that the front end employees don’t care if I stay or go. But your teamset the bar so high that I think it is worth me writing this long review thanking you. I stayed only one night at the Hotel Champlain but found it to be comfortable and welcoming. The staff was very helpful and warm, even when I had dumb questions. On the second floor, there is a little breakfast cafe, which was quite good. The hotel gave us $10 coupons, but we had forgotten about them the next day. They would have made the breakfast a very good bargain. The rooms were very quiet, and the beds were quite comfortable.

Ridiculously overpriced for the experience we had. Despite having pre-check in, we had to wait 20 minutes at the check in desk to check in, only to find out they switched our room, which we had pre-selected. The room they gave us was tiny. The bed was so hard neither of us slept well. I was up all night unable to sleep because I was in so much pain from the bed being horrible. Literally the only upside was free HBO Max, so I got to watch a good show while I couldn’t sleep.

Had a great convo about Old Fashions with Chris (the bartender). Great vibe and wonderful way to close out the evening after a day in Burlington.

Personnel parfait

The view from the room over looking the water and mountains was beautiful. The parking, restaurant and bar met our needs with plenty of choices.

The bathroom was small and the toilet paper holder was to close to the toilet. Made it difficult to sit.

The pillows in the queen room were exceptionally smaller than our previous stay a month ago. They were uncomfortable. The white comforter/duvet was coming apart and the insert looked filthy.

The location, restaurant, bar, and facilities were all good. The view from the room was great. We ordered room service which was quickly delivered from the on site restaurant and enjoyed the sunset. We went with a 6 year old and the Echo Science Center was a short walk that we all enjoyed on a rainy day.

The check-in process was very disappointing and frustrating. Hilton wanted you to download the app and then have a keyless entry to the room to avoid front desk interaction. Tried to get the keyless entry and said a visit to front desk was necessary. Check-in time was 4:00 and when tried to check-in at 5:30 front desk person said room nit ready but would be in 15-20 minutes. Told them would be sitting in area right by the front desk and they indicated ok. Waited 45 minutes and went to front desk again with the same person I previously checked in with. Person had no idea who I was and said the room was now available and started the check-in process again. My assumption is the front desk person would come and get us once the room was available. We ended up missing a dinner reservation and there was no apology from the front desk person, like I was being a bother.

Conveniently located to the bike trail across the street that goes to the Colchester causeway.

Walking up to Church street marketplace was a hike up the hill, but that is the only inconvenience.

Food and service were exceptional! Moses was extremely attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. Recommending exceptional plates!

JANE at the level 3 Lily May’s restaurant made our stay absolutely wonderful. The band on Wednesday night made our evening lively. The hotel was clean, easy to find, AC, cool staff….. You should check it out.
