Was in a great location.

Shower was not clean and drain clogged with someone else’s hair. Not enough towels for the number of guests in our room. Our stay was also supposed to include breakfast. Turn out to be a grab and go breakfast but most mornings you would come down to a full lobby with people and plates piled up and nothing else left on the table.

La recepción, el personal no fue tan amable y no me dieron las galletas de la fortuna que les entregan a todos de bienvenida. Ponen que incluyen desayuno y en verdad es muy escueto, una cafetera con unos cuantos panes y lo retiran a las 10:00 am, mejor que no lo pongan y que te ofrezcan eso como un amenidad.

Everything about my stay at this hotel was good, except for the breakfast. The location is central, close to everything. The room was comfortable and very quiet, and the bathroom was spacious.

The only issue was the breakfast. It only offered coffee, fruits like bananas, mandarins, and orange juice, and sweet pastries all the time. It is an unhealthy breakfast for someone like me with dietary restrictions, and for the price paid, they should provide a decent breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. What truly made our stay special was the outstanding service. A huge shoutout to JC and Esme, who were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our entire visit. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Great atmosphere, fantastic team, and lovely rooms. We will definitely be coming back!

Great customer service from Esmeralda and JC. I called before booking through a 3rd party and JC was super helpful and didn't make me feel like I was bothering him with my questions and he did not rush me off the phone. When I got to the parking garage I called to see if we could check in early. Esmeralda was like yes, no problem, we'll have one ready for you when you get here. My husband checked in and got to talking with both of them. He told them we were going to the Giants game and it was our 20th Anniversary. JC immediately upgraded our room which was super cool and unexpected. My husband is BIG on customer service so that initial interaction set the tone for the weekend. I'll definitely book here again.

Ma la cosa che porta giù il punteggio è il servizio colazione che fanno pagare ma che offre letteralmente 3 tipi di dolcetti diversi (una mattina erano solo due) e del succo o del caffè, il tutto servito nella piccola hall dell’hotel dove bisogna combattere per un posto a sedere. Assolutamente non una colazione degna di essere pagata

la colazione e la posizione della camera! Purtroppo in fase di prenotazione della camera su booking veniva specificata una tariffa con o senza colazione e ovviamente le cifre cambiavano. In Hotel abbiamo scoperto NON esserci questa differenza poichè la colazione era di default per tutti gli ospiti quindi abbiamo pagato di più un servizio di cui, col senno di poi, avremmo fatto a meno. L'hotel NON dispone di una cucina perciò i prodotti proposti erano solamente muffin, caffè, succo di arancia e cornetti che purtroppo la maggior parte delle mattine nessun cibo era più disponibile. Deludente come proposta e soprattutto questa informazione non è stata veicolata in fase di prenotazione in quanto DALLE FOTO sono presenti immagini forvianti di colazioni non dell'hotel ma del ristorante accanto. La nostra camera era al secondo piano esattamente vicino alla macchina del ghiaccio quindi un gran rumore a tutte le ore.

We recently stayed 2 nights at Triton Hotel (Aug 3-4, 2026). It was supposed to be a relaxing getaway with my partner, but the hotel stay turned out to be a major disappointment. First, our room was tiny, had a musty smelling carpet and scuffed furniture. The bathroom was so small it was hard to close the door once you were inside, and the narrow shower enclosure inadequately prevented water from splashing all over the floor. For a hotel that is advertised as a 4-stars, it was surprising. The front desk representative who checked us in was courteous and helpful. And the housekeeping person was great. However, we clashed with Jay, the hotel manager, on the second night. That evening, we drove up to the valet parking kiosk in front of the hotel and waited over 20 minutes behind two cars left unattended at the curb. No attendant was at the booth the whole time we were waiting so I subsequently went inside the hotel lobby and asked Jay when we could expect valet parking service. He told us that the attendant was busy so we should just try squeezing our big rental car into the spot between the two unattended cars. After I expressed my concern that the space was too tight to fit our SUV, and that we were being greatly inconvenienced, Jay insisted that the hotel wasn’t responsible and that I just had to wait for the sub-contracted attendant to show up (I am surprised he was the only working valet at the time). It was quite stunning to hear the manager’s dismissive response, especially since guests are charged $65 per night for a service that was not being provided. After expressing my dismay and frustration, my partner and I finally decided to park our car in a public parking garage a block away and asked the manager to remove the valet parking charge for our 2nd night, which it was. To date, no apology was offered by Triton's management for the inconvenience caused and for the rude treatment.

Inoltre il servizio di valet ha prezzi da 65$ al giorno per macchine di medie dimensioni, ma tax not included, poca chiarezza sui prezzi. Pe la colazione ,”che dicono “inclusa”, in realtà è un piccolo buffet improvvisato su un tavolino della lobby con caffè nero, succo d’arancia e qualche muffin. Nulla più, e senza tavoli. Anche qui, poca chiarezza.

Bardzo drogi parking w garażu oraz śniadanie, które tak naprawdę nie powinno być nazywane śniadaniem — serwowana jest jedynie kawa i ciastko, więc jeśli nie jesz ciastek, to w praktyce nie masz śniadania. Dodatkowo podczas śniadania brakuje miejsc do siedzenia.

Hotel Triton is a great find - conveniently located for visiting Chinatown and Union Square neighborhoods, with easy access to public transportation. Rooms are on smaller side, but comfortable beds, nice bathrooms/hot water and there’s a continental breakfast available in the morning plus a happy hour in the evening.

The Triton has added valuable elements since our last visit. In the morning, now there is coffee and pastries. They also offer Valet Parking. The beds are super comfortable. Jay A was the best information and recommendations. We have visited the Triton before, and are always pleased. This visit was a major upgrade. They continue to have their wine time too!

They had only one bed for three people. They reluctantly gave us a fold-up bed extra. It was merely some springs with at thin layer of cloth over. The receptionist didn't semm to care the least. Won't be going there again.

Had a very bad experience at Hotel Triton. The service was not good, the room was not clean, there was no view, and the bathroom was very small. The front desk also took a $50 security deposit, said they would refund $26, but I only received $7 back, meaning they kept $43. I do not recommend this hotel and advise others to choose a different place.

We had an outstanding experience from the moment Tony welcomed us and checked us in. Tony found a room for us to check in early at no additional cost and did a great job of explaining the many amenities in the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Triton. The location was excellent, within walking distance of Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square and many of San Francisco's main attractions, which made it easy to explore the city without having to drive everywhere. The only downside was that the room felt a bit small for four people, so it was a little tight with everyone's luggage. However, for a short stay, the fantastic location more than made up for it. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the heart of San Francisco.

Our experience at the Triton Hotel was absolutely amazing! We had to check in early due to a change in our flight, and Tony and Jay were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. They took the time to explain all of the amenities and perks available to us as guests, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself has such a modern, artistic vibe. We loved all of the unique artwork displayed throughout the lobby—it gave the hotel so much character and made it feel like more than just a place to stay. The rooms were perfect for the city atmosphere: stylish, comfortable, and exactly what you’d hope for while visiting San Francisco. One of our favorite parts of our stay was the complimentary happy hour they host for guests. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was also unbeatable, with many of San Francisco’s main attractions within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. We want to sincerely thank Tony and Jay for their remarkable customer service, kindness, and attention to detail. They truly made our family’s stay memorable. If we return to San Francisco, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Triton Hotel again. What I liked was the location, the lobby decoration and the friendly staff. They are also pet friendly, which is a plus. A few things I felt fell short. They charged a $43 a day fee on top of our room rate. This was allegedly for the breakfast, the wine happy hour and the small gym in the basement, which was very hot and stuffy and not well appointed. The breakfast was very disappointing. Soggy pastries and not even any yogurts. Coffee decent so I give them credit for that. We were not able to take advantage of the happy hour for most of our stay so that was a bust. Also, be wary of the independent check-in service. What they don’t tell you is that computer will assign you the least desirable room in the hotel, and the hotel staff will be unable to move you to another room, even if you ask prior to entering the room or even leaving the lobby. We were traveling with friends, there was a long line. Our friends reached the front of the line about the time I decided to try the remote checkin. The attendant assigned them a nice room on the fifth floor. The independent check-in assigned us a room on the second floor looking out at the air-conditioning unit. Before we even left the lobby or seeing the room, I asked if we could be changed to a room on the same floor as our friends. I was told no. The computer had randomly assigned the room and it could not be changed. Once we got to the room, we discovered it was very dark and stuffy and looked out on the air conitioning unit in addition to being far from our friends.

Moderne Zimmer in älterem Gebäude in toller Lage, China Town direkt vor der Tür aber auch Nachts sichere Umgebung. Personal sehr freundlich und etwas früherer Check-in war möglich, was nach einem langen Flug sehr willkommen war. Frühstück wie beschrieben minimalistisch, aber guter Kaffee.

La instalaciones para desayunar todo el hotel era solo una mesa de 4 personas en el lobby. Como desayuna todo el hotel en 1 mesa de 4 sillas? Debería. Poner que No hay desayuno. La habitación es demasiado chica. Y el baño es tan chico que casi no se puede entrar. Cobran parking teniendo el hotel en el subsuelo espacio. Es decir no está incluido teniendo espacio libre.

There seems to be a ticking sound in the pipes or system because all day and night long you hear a little knocking within the walls and I think it’s the plumbing system. My colleague heard it as well.

I’ve stayed here many times over the years and it’s a great location, across from the iconic SF Chinatown gate and near Union Square, Chinatown, and the financial district. There’s lots of small hotels like this in SF but the coffee and continental breakfast as well as the daily wine hour along with helpful staff make the Triton stand out, especially at its price point. Thank you especially to Tony for his patience and helpfulness during this most recent stay!

Wir haben ein Zimmer für drei Personen gebucht und nur ein Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett bekommen auf Nachfrage konnte uns keine alternative für die erste Nacht angeboten werden!! (Kein Beistellbett, kein Zimmer wie gebucht mit zwei Doppelbetten) also musste einer von uns am Boden schlafen Antwort vom Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption ist für diese Nacht so. Im Nachgang wollten wir zumindest irgendein entgegenkommen von Seiten der Unterkunft aber selbst mithilfe von Booking konnte keine Einigung erzielt werden. Danke an Booking für die Hilfe aber das Verhalten vom Hotel ist äußerst bedenklich Kundenzufriedenheit ist ein Fremdwort für dieses Hotel 👎

Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, room was clean and quiet (on the 6th floor), and there was a water dispenser on our floor. Every hotel should have this! The lobby is beautiful and lively and always smells good. The staff is very friendly.

The only thing was the AC unit in our room was a little inconsistent.

Small rooms but clean and comfortable, great location directly outside the Chinatown gates. Friendly staff. Would recommend for a couple wandering around the city.

Breakfast was a bit sparse, they said it would be continental but all they had were coffee and chips ahoy muffins. They let us keep our bags after check out but only for 4 hours for some reason.

Prime location near Union Square and across from the entrance to Chinatown. Only one staff employee at reception (Saba who was extremely friendly) handling both registration and phone calls. Early check-in is available for $30. The hotel is dog friendly. During my one day stay I saw as many as 10 different dogs going through the lobby. Dog treats offered at the door. Valet parking available for $65 per day. And there's complimentary wine available at 6pm. The continental breakfast is simple. Includes coffee, orange juice and mini-muffins. The hotel needs to improve this. However the restaurant next door offers a 15% discount for hotel guests. My wife and I stayed in room 414, a king size bed with a view of Grant Street. Being close to the street there is some traffic noise. The room was very comfortable, cozy and clean. Good water pressure with eucalyptus shampoo and body soap which I extremely enjoyed. I have a complaint about the bathroom door, which opens inward. This made it very difficult to get it. I had to step into the shower inorder to close the door. Water and ice located on the 6th floor. There are two elevators which hold around 4-6 guests depending upon luggage. So there can be a wait for service. Overall our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. I would stay here again and I do recommend the Triton Hotel. Thanks for reading my review. rg-

Le petit-déjeuner est vraiment décevant. Il s’apparente davantage à une simple collation qu’à un véritable petit-déjeuner : très peu de choix et des quantités limitées. De plus, il est servi dans le hall de l’hôtel, au niveau de la réception, où il n’y a pratiquement aucune place pour s’asseoir et en profiter dans de bonnes conditions. Nous avions réservé une chambre pour quatre personnes, mais il s’agit en réalité d’une chambre prévue pour deux personnes dans laquelle ont été ajoutés deux lits doubles. Résultat : il est très difficile de circuler dans la chambre tant l’espace est restreint. L’hôtel ne dispose d’aucun parking. Il faut se garer dans un parking extérieur, ce qui représente un coût supplémentaire de 46 $ par jour. Enfin, l’établissement est très bruyant. Nous n’avons pas passé un bon séjour et ne recommandons pas cet hôtel. Au vu des prestations proposées, il ne mérite ni son tarif, ni son classement en étoiles.

It was such a pleasure returning to Hotel Triton after so many years. I lived in San Francisco for 15 years before moving to Bangkok five years ago, so after nearly 20 years, I found myself needing a hotel in the city again. Choosing Hotel Triton was an easy decision, and it didn't disappoint. I arrived at 4:00 p.m. just in time for the complimentary wine happy hour (4–6 p.m.), which was a wonderful way to start my stay. I was also given a fantastic room on the 7th floor. Everything was just as I remembered—the bed was incredibly comfortable, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the location couldn't be better. You're perfectly situated between the shopping of Union Square and the gateways to Chinatown and North Beach. A special thank you to Dao, JC, and another wonderful woman at the front desk, whose warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made me feel truly welcome from the moment I arrived. One more tip: if you miss the hotel breakfast, guests receive 10% off at Caffe de la Presse next door, one of my favorite French bistros in San Francisco. Book your stay with confidence, you'll be glad you chose Hotel Triton.

My husband and I had an excellent stay here at Hotel Triton! It’s right across from the Chinatown Gate so lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Saba (the hotel’s manager) was incredibly helpful to us every time we interacted with her. You could tell she cared about her job and how our stay went. If you’re going to stay hopefully Saba is working!! My only complaint would be that the rooms are a little old and dated. Carpet and window AC is the only reason this stay didn’t receive 5 stars. Would stay here again!

Good stay and a great location! Rooms are VERY comfortable but a bit small..but since I travelled solo, it was perfect. The front desk was very nice and hospitable.... I know there’s been complaints of a “bare” breakfast, but it was fine, esp since Cafe la Presse and Chinatown right next door! Can order Room Service from Cafe.. it was overall, a great deal!

In general stay was ok, but there are a lot stuff can be better: 1. it says there is breakfast, but I would not call it a breakfast. It is just sweets! At least add a boiled egg, tomatoes, paprika, just normal bread, cheese, ham, a coffee machine for capuccino to not to drink cold coffee if you want it with milk. 2. the room is very dark with all the light turned on. 3. there is no proper duvet cover, couple of sheets only 4. Please don't tuck the blanket in so tightly that I have to yank it out with force every time. 5. internet over wifi is quite slow 6. please don't clog the sink; that way, you won't have to rummage around in dirty water or figure out how to get it draining again. 7. please install a proper shower mixer so the water comes out warm right away, instead of dousing yourself with cold water first. Otherwise it was ok. Super grateful for possibility to leave luggage.
