I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend staying here. The staff is attentive, the noise level is basically minimal, and it's a convenient location that's close to public transit (BART, Muni buses, or ride-share if you prefer) to take you where ever you want to go. It's also right next to Chinatown. There's a free water station that's readily available and reusable glassware that is provided in each room to fill it up. Additionally, this place is perfect for personal and business travel. I normally do not submit reviews, but my experiences staying here have always been outstanding. It's hard to choose another hotel to stay at than this one, unless you really want free breakfast; you can't miss with the cleanliness and quality that the Orchard Garden Hotel staff ensures they provide.

Wonderful hotel with excellent staff in a very convenient location. Nice breakfast in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Steve at the front desk. Found the online check in and check out very convenient. If the opportunity arises, I will definitely stay again.

Amazing location. Clean accommodation. 12pm check out as standard which is great. Bag store so you can go out and explore on your last day or before you're able to check in.

L’emplacement pour visiter San Francisco est très bien, à l’entrée du quartier chinois, pas loin du quartier des affaires, … et malgré cela, c’est une rue très tranquille. Transport en commun au coin de la rue (tram, bus). L’isolation entre les chambres, comme avec l’extérieur est très bonne.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and pleasant. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from Chinatown.

Das Zimmer hatte nur ein Mini Fenster und war sehr dunkel und nicht besonders einladend hierdurch.

The location is excellent, right in the center of the city and easy to walk everywhere from.

The hotel feels dated. The reception team does not communicate with each other, so you have to repeat yourself. They were unable to issue my invoice. The room key cards constantly failed because of the old lock technology. We did not eat there, so I cannot comment on the food.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it easy to walk to Union Square, Chinatown, the cable cars, and many of San Francisco’s main attractions. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations or any questions we had. Their service really made us feel valued. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, quiet, and very comfortable, providing a great place to relax after busy days exploring the city.

This hotel is on Bush Street right next to the Chinatown gate. The hotel feels new (opened in 2006), decor is modern and everything in good condition. We had a superior king room on the 10th floor with good light and a great city view, floor is carpeted. Comfortable bed (firm enough) with good quality cotton sheets. It's not the largest one in its category but has adequate space for two people except there is only one chair to sit on. The bathroom however is enormous with 2 sinks, separate shower and tub (although the shower head could be more updated). Small fridge, safe and keurig coffee maker, glass mugs and even wine glasses. There is also a glass carafe you can use to refill drinking water - from a purifying machine on the 7th floor. Restaurant on lobby level serving à la carte breakfast. Small gym but business center has a printer and two computers. Lobby not big but is pleasant and has seating and microwave for shared use. There is also a rooftop terrace with nice views. Location is convenient to Chinatown, Embarcadero as well as Union Square. The neighborhood feels safe at all times. About 4 blocks from the BART Montgomery Street station. Small grocery store on Bush towards Orchard hotel (sister hotel). Large Chinese supermarket (probably the largest in Chinatown) in basement on Jackson near corner of Grant. Abundant food options - restaurants and coffee shops in the same block and around. Not to mention all the Chinese restaurants and dim sum carryout places up Grant towards center of Chinatown.

The room was very clean, and the air conditioning was great.

Great location - abundant restaurant/coffee shop options all around. A few blocks to Montgomery st BART station - easy walk not much of an uphill. Hotel opened about 6 years ago so still feels new. Comfortable and clean rooms although some have more chairs/couch than others. Filtered water station which is a bonus. Also use of microwave in lobby breakfast room. There is also a small supermarket a couple of blocks away.

Only one chair in room - a bit lacking for two people (furnishings seem to be different depending on the rooms - not necessarily categories).

Excellent location in a safe neighborhood, just a short walk from Union Square and Chinatown, with easy access to San Francisco's main attractions. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The connecting rooms were perfect for our family. The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

I had a lovely stay at the Orchard Garden Hotel. It's very centrally located with easy walking to many public transport options. I appreciated the little touches; a water station was available and there were glass carafes in the room to fill with water, so it was easy to stay hydrated. Nice full size bathrobes that don't feel thin and cheap. Real glassware rather than plastic. The rooftop garden has a nice view of the surrounding skyscrapers. The room was very comfortable and clean and staff were very friendly. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to San Francisco.

Great place to stay! The location is excellent, and the area is quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The online check-in and check-out process was very convenient, quick, and easy. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Orchard Garden Hotel is perfectly located between the “crazy” Chinatown and the poshy area around Union Square. You have access to Cablecar, Subway & BART just 1-3 min away. There is so much to see in walking distance already. The hotel and the rooms are very spacious, silent and absolutely clean. The whole staff is very friendly. Especially the room cleaning team. We had an issue with the Safe (my mistake) and the technician solved it in 5min. The stay was the best during our 2 week trip in California and we definitely would recommend it to anyone, who wants value for absolutely fair price.

Excellent location, clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. It’s a small boutique hotel located just next to the main entrance (dragon gate) of Chinatown at the intersection of Grant and Bush. Easy few blocks from fancy stores at Union Square. Cable car line just a few blocks away. Excellent restaurants close by. Rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel’s rooftop patio is a nice option. Overall, great stay and would return.

OG is such a great hotel. it is always very clean. the location is perfect. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Always efficient housekeeping.

This time was a bit more pricy than usual. But it is worth the money. Also, not hotel's fault, but on my last night, there was extensive street work outside my window all night. Very very loud - hard to sleep. Maybe if this occurs again, hotel should give guests a heads up about it - and maybe have some earplugs available!

Great location right next to the dragon gate. Convenient to get to anywhere in the downtown and along the metro line. Friendly staff, clean room with air conditioning. Solid choice for a business trip.

Some facilities are dated, but everything is working. Window in my room didn't open, so ventilating the room with fresh air isn't really possible. Other than this small things, all good.

What an incredible experience my team had during our team retreat at the Orchard Hotel! The rooms were spacious and had comfortable beds. The highlight of our stay was the incredible customer service and warmth we received from Collins, the Front Desk manager, and Rowan and Ciara from the Sales team. Rowan and Ciara made the planning process very easy and addressed all our needs. Collins was spectacular in accommodating any additional requests during our stay. I would definitely return for my next trip to SF - be it business or pleasure.

Perfectly located in the financial district. Walking distances to entire SF if you have good walking shoes. Try Caffé Central for breakfast or lunch. Or jump on a cable car at Union Square to get to the other side of town.

Home run! Great location and the rooms were very clean and accommodating. Prices were also very reasonable for a large city. The staff, especially, Art made our stay memorable. Highly recommend!

The staff was friendly and the facility was very clean. It was reasonably priced with a great location. It is very near to Union Square where both Neiman Marcus and Macy's are located.

The water station on the 7th floor was out of order.

One of the staff members (an older man) was unfortunately quite rude during our check-in experience. It was not a very welcoming first impression and honestly affected our overall stay, even though everything else about the hotel was excellent. Thankfully, the rest of the staff were kind, professional, and genuinely helped improve our experience afterward, so we really appreciate them for that.

The hotel has a good location, close to Chinatown, clean, spacious room and I got a good rate as I booked months in advance. I booked a two night stay over the Memorial Day weekend and service is friendly and helpful. Check in is easy and it is a green hotel, so uses a key card to turn on the lights, has recycling in the room. There is a refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker but no microwave. I ate out the first night at a nearby ramen restaurant which is only about 1 and 1/2 blocks away. The second night I ordered DoorDash as I was tired from walking all day and ordered from a local Japanese restaurant. I checked out the rooftop garden at night and in the morning, it is spacious but the two days I was here it was cold and cloudy so I couldn't sit down and enjoy it. i didn't try the fitness room as it is very basic, and has towels, water filling station and some machines and not many props. I didn't have time during my stay to workout but if I wanted to, there isn't much in terms of props like weights as the room is pretty small. I didn't try the breakfast here as I brought my own food for breakfast as prices are higher than normal. All in all I enjoyed my stay and wish I could have explored more of the area. I chose this location as the area is a good location and a green hotel.

Ontbijten was prijzig wel uitstekend. Het uitzicht vanuit mijn hotelkamer. De tuinterras had nauwelijks bloemen en planten. Geen bar maar er waren voldoende zelfs in dezelfde straat te vinden.

Beautifully located in the city center, this is a very clean and new hotel. It is convenient to have a free cold-water dispenser available.

As for breakfast, the café located within the restaurant is unjustifiably expensive; it is much simpler to have breakfast at any of the many places situated right near the hotel.
