Central Location

Huge Cockroaches in the bathroom - seen multiple times during 3 day stay. Just awful, the rooms and the hotel felt dirty and unclean.

As instalações do hotel são bem antigas. As luzes do corredor ficam acessas e entram pela fresta da porta da entrada a ponto de fazer claridade no quarto. O secador de cabelos não funcionava e o chuveiro estava com problema fazendo um barulho e falhando em funcionamento. Precisa de modernização e melhorias. Não tem café da manhã.

La stanza odorava di fumo, il getto della doccia era scarso e basso. Scalini piccoli. Luce fioca nella stanza al Decimo piano.

Got stuck in old elevator. Very hot room with no A/C. We were charged for 2 nights of parking and did not have a car to park! Scary time in elevator. Very old building. Too $$$$

Location - excellent. Room was okay, a bit dated but clean and overall satisfactory. Elevators were old and slow; but luckily, I was on vacation and rather enjoyed vintage/historical feel.

They did not have water for guests at the reception area. I had to purchase it - from the reception.

The room was pretty spacious, the location’s great too, and the staff were super friendly.

The door lock might be a bit old, and my card probably got demagnetized from being with my phone, so I couldn't open the door.

La camera e il bagno perfetta pulitissima ,ogni giorno riordinamento la stanza e pulivano molto bene ..letto molto comodo e grande frigo e macchina per il caffe ......piccola colazione caffè, tè ,cioccolata calda e brioches confezionate molto gradita ....personale molto gentile e soprattutto disponibile, la vista dalla camera era fantastica!!!!Hotel a 2 passi da union square pozione ottima!!!!! Possibilità di riempire acqua dal distributore automatico h 24 ....Hotel molto bello con lobby dove potete trovare un bellissimo pianoforte..

Forse aggiungerei qualcosa in più per la colazione ma il resto ottimo

Great location near Union Square, and it's a very interesting 'personality hotel', with a carved stone entrance, gothic/period feel, and a full sized theatre in the hotel! Used to be an HQ for the Elks and still very much has that atmosphere. Very clean, very friendly staff, full of interesting artistic features, well worth a visit - particularly if you have a taste for the an unusual/historic/olde world atmosphere.

It's a very good hotel - if they provided good quality cooked food - particularly a good cooked breakfast, it could be a great hotel. Regarding the theatre, during our stay it was being wasted on a production of 'Hairspray' - which is a shame since I would have liked to have seen a play at the theatre (as I did a couple of years ago). Even the (very friendly) man on the front desk, when we checked in, suggested that Hairspray was being put on for commercial (presumably rather than artistic/cultural) reasons; but I guess this is principally a matter of taste.

The location was the best. Easy access to everything. The room was well priced and with my long stay it was great value for money. The hotel itself is a bit ran down and in need of maintenance but I feel that this standard is normal for SF. Pretty clean.

Overall just a ran down property + the smell of an old dusty building. But I feel that it's normal for most of the hotels in SF. Somehow the level of quality is pretty low there in my exerience.

It was clean and comfortable. Staff couldn’t not be more helpful. Excellent WiFi.

The furniture, carpets and decor were a little battered. The bath had no plug.

La struttura è un po’ trascurata, non molto accogliente nonostante la bellezza dello stabile e delle camera.

L'albergo era pulito e ben organizzato nei servizi. Nella stanza c'era tutto l'occorrente e al mattino mettevano a disposizione anche the r caffè nella hall. La posizione è ottima in un quartiere sicuro e ben tenuto.

Struttura e staff accogliente. Comodissimo refill acqua e bevande calde la mattina con un tipo di biscotto (tipo madeleine). Posizione perfetta per spostarsi a piedi o con i mezzi.

Si sentivano un po’ di rumori da fuori ma lievi. I biscotti della mattina spesso erano finiti quando scendevamo alle 8.30..probabilmente qualcuno ha fatto il furbo ma dovrebbero rifornirlo almeno fino alle 9.

Hotel in buona posizione centrale. Camera comoda. Stanza pulita. Comoda l'acqua disponibile per gli ospiti. Anche se su 3 giorni, 2 volte il dispenser era rotto.

Stanza vetusta e poco funzionale. Bagno piccolo, ma passabile.

Molt ben situat al centre de San Francisco. Es un hotel antic però molt correcte.

The staff were very accommodating for our extra late check in and also holding bags on our last day. The hotel is a beautiful old hotel and the rooms were styled to match the building. The room was large and well appointed. Bed was comfortable and we enjoyed having a window that could open. The location is awesome and easy access to Union Square, Cable Car, shopping & restaurants. It was safe to walk in this area at night.

La habitación es amplia, muy cómoda para descansar, cuenta con un dispensador de agua con variedad de sabores en recepción El Sr Queen fue muy amable y atento,en general el.personal es amable.

La tv no es smart asi que solo se puede ver los canales locales. A los alrededores en la noche suele haber muchos homeless

Location is excellent. The hotel is charming in a way. For example, look up at the wood work when you're in the lobby of the hotel. One can also get a glass of sherry in the evening. Very easy to move out in the morning and set about your adventure for the day.

The hotel was very conveniently located near Union Square. The valet parking that was available at the hotel was really good and easy (apart from the price was quite expensive in comparison to LA and Las Vegas where we also stayed and used valet parking). The staff were all lovely and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable.

The hotel was quite dated and just needed a bit of TLC in parts. For example, the mirror in our bathroom was cracked and the lighting in our room wasn’t great. Again, we found the parking quite expensive.

Everything, Quinn was super nice and helpfull. Everyone was but specially him. Love the atmosphere, the view we had. The location..loved all

The only thing, is that every day after we come back from our sightseeing our door card was unprogramed and we would have to go back down stairs to reception so they could reprogram it

sinceramente, eu pegrui ele por 2 coisas, localização pq fica na union square e 2 pelo preço, continua caro mas para a região era o mais "em conta". cheguei tarde da noite então quando entro no quarto ta tudo com a iluminação bem baixa, e assim bem ruim de enchergar, e o cheiro estranho, entao a 1 coisa que fiz foi abrir a janela, oq nao foi muito possivel porque so abriu meio centimetro mas ja ajudou no cheiro, deppois nao deu para sentir nada. a cama super confortavel, e tinha banheira mas chiveiro tambem, e boz de vidro ( sim tem que agradecer por isso porque meus colegas ficaram em um com cortina de tecido o que e super eca), como eu disse nao tem cafe mas tem lanchonete super perto que é uma delicia por sinal. gente que localização exelente, serio da para fazer tudo a pé de lojas claro.

nao tem cafe da manha mas eles cobram 100 dolares pelo resort sei la das quantas, só pelo fato de ter uma cafeteira no seu quarto. faltou ventilação no quesito de abrirem mais a janela para circular o vento, mas eu entendo que nao pode por que se nao o povo tenta pular.

Le personnel qui n’était pas capable de nous aider alors que nous disions avoir froid dans nos chambres, l’établissement étant ancien le chauffage ne se déclenche que lorsque la température dehors est « suffisamment froide », ils sont incapables de vous dire de quelle température on parle, ni de vous trouver une solution de repli alors que nous occupons 2 chambres dont 1 avec une enfant de 4 ans

The hotel does not adhere to their posted general conditions. Booking has confirmed this (see attached photo), but weeks later this still remains unresolved. They just ignore you and don't answer anymore. I'm now getting my money back via the credit card company, but it is very tedious. I also spent quite a bit of money on calls to Booking, but with no real results so far. I know there is always a disgruntled guest with every hotel, just posting a bad review for the sake of posting a bad review, but I promise you, this is not this case... Just book somewhere else. ;)

La struttura è storica ma è tenuta benissimo, i letti sono king size e sono super comodi e la camera era abbastanza pulita. A due passi da Union Square quindi centralissima. La cosa che ho adorato di più e’ che all’interno c’è un piccolo teatro e abbiamo visto il musical di hairspray. E’ stato davvero bello.

Per colazione mettono un tavolo nella hall con delle brioche e le bevande tipo caffè, tè e latte credo. Sarebbe bello se organizzassero proprio una sala per la colazione con un bel buffet.

Fast forward a few emails and i get an update that the refund was denied. I called staff with proof of the cockroach and asked to be connected with the person who responds to refund request. Total change of tone, they tell me that i am breaking the law and hang up.

Letto non era matrimoniale ma alla francese, l'angolo caffè e biscotti al mattino era troppo scarno terminava subito tutto

Lo stile dell'hotel è veramente molto bello, la camera grande e comoda. Mi è piaciuta anche la posizione, fornita di parcheggi, supermercati e tutto quello che serve.

The walls are thin and I could hear the guests in either side of my room as well as upstairs. There is a theater in the same building as the hotel and at peak hours the elevators can be difficult to access

Hotel z lat 50 wszystko stare wymagające odświeżenia. Zdjęcia zdecydowanie tego nie oddają. Pokoje są brudne łazienki tak samo nie domyte wszędzie kurz. Obsługa arogancka traktująca gości jakby nigdy nie widzieli ognia w kominku. A wisienką na torcie okazał się żywy karaluch pełzający po wannie w naszej łazience pokój 23 ohyda!!! Odradzam ten hotel omijać szerokim łukiem!!!

Central Union Square location but careful going even a couple of blocks the wrong way. Hotel was clean and provided coffee in the morning. Rooms were small, but comfortable.

La ubicación fue lo que más me gustó ya que la estación de metro y paradas del bus estaban muy cerca. Lo anterior permitió que pudiera visitar todos los spots turísticos de la ciudad. De igual manera, había restaurants cercanos y tiendas para realizar compras. El personal siempre fue muy amable. Además te permiten guardar tus cosas antes del check-in y después por si lo necesitas. La limpieza de la habitación también fue muy buena.

Las habitaciones eran pequeñas, tenían el espacio justo para las camas y demás muebles en la habitación. Pero fueron más las cosas que me gustaron del lugar que volvería a hospedarme ahí.

Wat prachtige plek om te verblijven! Mooie lobby met vriendelijk personeel. ‘s morgens lekker koffie of thee met koekjes. Heel mooi gebouw met grandeur. Wat een pareltje om in te verblijven.

Proche d'Union Square, nous avons pu déambuler dans la ville. Attention, si vous avez une voiture, vérifier les prix des parkings aux alentours. Nous étions au Stockton Garage et nous avons payé 46$ les 24h.

Die Zimmer waren in einem sehr guten Zustand, es war alles sauber und die Betten waren sehr komfortabel. Das Bad war auch sehr sauber und es gab reichlich Handtücher. Fön und Bügeleisen gab es auch. Alles super

Das einzige Manko, was mir negativ aufgefallen, wofür das Hotel aber im Zweifel nichts kann, ist die Lautstärke mit denen die Türen geschlossen werden. Leider vergessen viele Hotelgäste, dass noch andere Menschen auf der Etage wohnen.

Some of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but others were not. The room was cold, and they weren't able to fix the issue.

It's a vintage hotel, which gave it a great atmosphere. Everything was clean, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent.

the old world vibe of the hotel is so charming... love the room ambience and the staff was nice and helpful. great location!

we didn't get the nice city view room that we did last time but love the beds and decor in the room!

Готель був дуже старим і потребує оновлення: ванна кімнала з пліснявою та ржавчиною, столи покоцані. Всі столи були в засохлому бруді, все доводилось протирати додатково.

the room was big and comfy, also de bed was to die for. we found that the vending machines and water dispenser was a must in out stay due to the amount of walking we did.

I loved the convenience of the location.

The professionalism of the employees. There were no present General Manager there when I requested speaking to one after having an employee break standard protocol. I spoke to Vincent at the front desk, he said “Jymbal” and “Indy” who are depicted to be general managers are not present. They invaded my space before my check out time. Lied about the invasion of my privacy when I was present and saw as a first hand witness. I was in a place of undress when the door opened looking into my bathroom. They did not knock, the employees nor front desk took it seriously that a house keeper literally opened a door while I was in a physical place of vulnerability. It has left me anxious and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. They won’t take serious matters into accommodation. I’ve never had this happen for a hotel claiming to be at this stature and price. I’m going to reach out to higher management hoping corporate can oversee this be resolved.

Beds were very comfy, easy access from the lobby, early morning coffee in the lobby was just the thing to get us up and out. overall a great experience from the hotel
