Riverside Hotel, BW Premier Collection

I've stayed in a lot of nice hotels in my 78 years ,but this one was above and beyond all of them. Excellent location, beautiful view, 3 restaurants,unbelievable breakfast buffet!!! Also great music!! Can't say enough good things about it.

The registration staff was friendly. The bed was so comfortable, I slept better than I have in months. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the artwork throughout the buildings. The grounds were beautiful. Next time we'll take advantage of the poolside bar.

The waitress could have been a little more attentive with coffee and the timing of condiments.

This was an excellent location and the hotel offered so many features to make our overnight stay quite comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. The lobby bar was fun with terrific live music. Dinner was good. The hotel had everything we needed: a pleasant evening in the bar/restaurant, a quiet night's sleep and efficient transportation to the airport. All the staff from front desk, bell service, food and beverage and housekeeping were excellent.

Great location. Next to parks, and walking trails on the Boise river. Great places to eat near by. Pools indoor and out were very nice.

I paid extra for a room with a view. I had a room with a giant tree blocking my view and a rickety balcony. When I complained to the desk I got” that is unfortunate”. There is one elevator in this hotel. It was a huge distance from the room. We had to carry our luggage up and down two flights of stairs. Breakfast was very disappointing. I would not stay at this location again. I added the photo of my supposed view.

The shower or bathtub needs to be updated the draining of the all drains was extremely slow.so when you showered you stood in standing water. and the sinks were very slow to drain.

The hotel was kinda old for how much they charge. The pool didn't open until 11 that's very late.

The room was a nice size and easy for the kids to walk around. Liked that the microwave and mini fridge were hidden in the TV stand. I like that you offer a pack n play for young babies.

That there wasn't much of an area to eat in the room. There was only the desk to sit at and we had to move a bench around so we could all eat together. The mattresses were really hard and the pillows weren't that great. The bedding was confusing there seemed like a sheet a thin comforter and then another sheet.

Convenient. Clean. Great bar. Super friendly staff. We had a suite which was very nice. Good breakfast.

Five events that night created chaos in the parking lots. Every space was taken, even in overflow across from the hotel. Enjoying the pool was almost impossible. There was no monitoring of who was allowed in. Were they all guests? I doubt it. My party walked right in thru the bar area. So many families with kids overtook almost every space. I love kids but when there’s no space for other guests & you’re continuing to be splashed, it gets annoying. My friends and I usually love Riverside, and we spent over $1000 that weekend between the room, drinks & food. But this was not a $1000 stay.

Property is dated and tired. It was also crowded.

Breakfast was very good. Staff were very helpful and provided sincere, friendly service (especially the omelet chef and young waitress). Parking was close to the rooms. The hotel was situated right on the Greenbelt trail and very close to downtown.

The front desk staff are just okay, but could be so much more attentive and tuned into the needs of the customers. 1. There is no clear queuing for being helped at the desk - you just kinda stand there until one of the 2 to 4 girls behind the counter notice you. A better method would be to have one person solely focused on greeting and recognizing that customers are in line. 2. The front staff seem to be very busy doing things other than helping customers. They are constantly staring at their screens or turning and talking among themselves. It was demeaning to stand and wait and be made to feel like we were interrupting whatever they were chatting about. The one exception was a fellow named McCall. He was present, polite, helpful. 3. At one point I approached the front counter and asked for change because the change machine in the laundry room was broken. She said that they knew it was broken and that Engineering was aware of the issue. Great - but no change. Meaning, it's not enough to just tell the customer that "..Engineering is aware...". Why wasn't the management all over this problem to ensure that customers could somehow get change to do laundry? I don't think I'm being petty about this. She really felt she had done all she could do to help me at that moment.

The hotel staff was amazing and friendly. The courtyard and outdoor pool was beautiful. We enjoyed a drink by the pool while watching the kids play in the pool.

Spent 5 nights here in June 26' for a family wedding with my adult daughter. Highly recommend this lovely sprawling hotel. Resort like with exceptional staff, excellent food (room service and main dining room in the lobby) priced well. Rooms were large, spotless and very comfortable! View was very nice overlooking a bright green lawn and trail to the Riverwalk. Outdoor patio was unexpected with a small table and two chairs accessed by a sliding glass door. Entire property was maintained beautifully inside and out. Robes, in room safe, decent size fridge and coffee maker all appreciated. Sundries shop off the lobby. Pool was enjoyable. This hotel is huge and our room was quite a walk from the main section of the hotel but the staff drove us to our building upon our arrival luggage and all making the transition easy. Great for our party of two but saw many families enjoying their time as well. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

Rude and unhelpful staff, disgusting food leading to food poisoning, tiny pool area that was treated as a party area with loud music and even louder guests making it impossible to relax and enjoy, wildly outdated TVs in the room (not even a guide option to see channels), unclean ice machine with staff unbothered by white slime coming out with the ice, brought our luggage in to check in (as one typically does) only to have to repack the car and drive to the entrance closest to our room because there wasn’t an option to walk within the property

The room was very nice, spacious and clean. Several restaurants on site. Conveniently located off the highway. Great amenities.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable. Very hard. Thankfully there was a chase lounge in the room, that slept on. The other issues eas the water. It smelled and tasted of rust. Thanfully I had bottled water to brush my teeth and wash my face with.

The pool was so overcrowded with no seating, people playing their own bad music on personal speakers, and dirty towels everywhere. We ordered a margarita that tasted like pool water for $13. Not pleasant or relaxing. Would not recommend.

The property has shuttle service to and from the airport at all times. This shuttle service will also take you within 3 miles to anything else that you may need to do. Airport rides are a priority. We found that the property was more of a resort filled than a hotel/motel feel. We were treated with the utmost respect in every aspect of our stay.

I did not like that there were not elevators that was accessible to everything on each wing of the motel for instance we were in room 206 and in that wing we had to take our luggage cart up the elevator and down the hallway but we had to stop and carry stuff down another set of steps. This would not have been ideal for a handicap person.

The staff was very friendly, the accessible room was comfortable and met our needs, and the breakfast was exceptional. Having easy access to the river walk was a bonus.

This is an exceptional property from the check-in process to the amenities afforded by the property. One of the very best hotels we have ever stayed at in terms of Service and amenities.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The outdoor pool was awesome. The location couldn't be better. Beds were comfortable.. Rooms very clean.

No outlets in the room for charging devices (you have to bring a wall plug). Our a/c wasn't working, but someone came and temporarily fixed it. The "fitness center" was just okay. The little fridge completely froze everything, even at the lowest setting

It is a really nice property, with a beautiful river walk, the front desk staff were very nice and welcoming. Room was comfortable and the restaurant along the river walk had good food and live music.

The hotel is within walking distance of fun restaurants and wine tasting rooms and breweries. The pool and outdoor restaurant are a treat. It has the best free hotel breakfast - an omelet bar! The rooms are nicely updated.

The place is huge and kind of a maze to get from your room to the lobby. They do provide a map. It was not a problem for us but if you have mobility issues, you should ask for a room close to the lobby.

We’ve stayed there several times before and we have noticed that several of the sliding screens on the sliding doors need repair. This is a simple task and I’m not sure why the motel doesn’t keep up on this.

Loved the pool and poolside food and drink service. The room was large and comfortable and we enjoyed walking along the river. The included breakfast buffet was also very nice.

We arrived late (at 2am). I knew we would be late and emailed the property through booking 8 hours prior. The night agent was a tad rude when we walked in the door and said that all rooms were marked as “no shows” after midnight. I told her I contacted them to give them a heads up and she said “we don’t see messages from booking” and seemed a little put out that she had to reinstate the reservation. Not exactly what we needed after traveling for 12 hours…..

We stayed here over Christmas 2019 and now had the chance again. All staff we met and talked to are always helpful, friendly, and kind. This is one of the best hotels we’ve been to, from the river walk to the pool, the artwork, musicians, and variety of restaurants. Rooms are comfy and clean. Next time we plan on spending a few more days.

Really couldn’t find anything to complain about just compliment about.

The location is nice, right on the greenbelt. Sandbar was awesome. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ample, but only ate it because it was included. Otherwise $20. Per person is rather expensive.

It is multiple buildings and it was a long way to our room from the lobby. The outdoor pool was full of kids throwing balls and basically made it uncomfortable. The pool deck was filthy. Running streams of dirt and garbage was all over the place. Lots of ants were crawling around as well. Hot tub was full of little kids and was cloudy and very dirty. Didnt dare go in. Beds in our room were hard and pillows basically useless. Very small and too squishy. Bed linens were nice though. Bathroom was clean and the hot water is very hot.

They gave me a room off the parking lot! I came from Phoenix and got to look at the parking lot. Guess I should have specified....

The property, you could walk around bike, other activities. Even when there was a lot of band music and fun festivities going on outside, the room was still quiet and dark and comfortable to get to sleep.

Thin walls, no security or hotel staff to control quiet time. It was 2 night in a row kids an adults were loud through halls an outside patio past 11oclock Calld twice, took them a while to come talk to rude guests before they kept quiet

The sliding door was a bear, it was a fight to open and close it. The night of our arrival we at in the restaurant, my salad had a hair in it. Service was bad. The server was there when I found the hair. Walked away speechless. The next morning we at at the breakfast buffet. The food was bland and the link sausage was horrible. I had a piece of toast and left.

Kids running up and down hall ways tell 1 am bug killer in hall way. Room was not very clean . Old old pillows very uncomfortable smelled funny like dog pee in haul,, Got up and left at 6 am For the price way over priced

Room is outdated and dark. We also booked a room with a view and were stuck in a corner room with a view of a roof covered in bird droppings. Property felt crowded.

The pool was terrible. Gate doors were propped open with Electrical Cords. There were far too many people in the pool area. I know for a fact a large percentage of the people there were NOT guests. I sat and chatted with 4 different groups and not one of them were hotel guests. They walked in to use the pool off the street. There was no control of who could enter. Hotel guests as myself and partner had to sit on the concrete for an hour before the we got a lounge chair. There was garbage everywhere. Used wet towels were left on lounge chairs and not picked up when person left to show a lounge chair was available. To say it nicely it was awful! We drove a couple hours paid hard earned money for a stay and it was a complete circus. I have stayed at Riverside many times and have NEVER seen it like this.

I didn’t like the cleanliness of the outdoor hot tub, not being able to use the indoor whirlpool because it was too overcrowded with children after 9:00. Wish there could be a cap on when children could be allowed in the hot tub. Our screen door didn’t work and we couldn’t use.

We love staying at The Riverside Hotel. We finally got a courtyard facing room! Excellent. The crème brûlée cheesecake is DELICIOUS. We ordered it through room service. The indoor pool, let's talk about that. Salt Water! What a brilliant idea. It's really perfect, way better than chlorine. The whirlpool.. we are adults and were laughing and having a good ol' time in that thing. Fun! If you don't want a large crowd in the pool room.. week nights during the school year!

I loved that it was right on the river! Beautiful setting. OMG...The breakfast was incredible. Bed was really comfy and the room size was very large.

I love walking on the Greenbelt to the coffee shop, the wine bar and the Italian restaurant. The breakfast at the motel is very good. We only stay here off season as the rates are too high otherwise.

I wish the pool was open more hours. Maybe, it is in the summer.

Room and 'view' were a joke. Photos on booking were very misleading from what I got. Jets on the bath tub kept turning on randomly and not wanting to turn off.

I loved the location!

The room made a very loud squeak sound while the people above us turned on any water, this went out for over an hour at five in the morning! Also the walls are so thin we heard the entire conversation of our immediate neighbors at all times of the day.
