Staff were exceptional, very helpful and happy.

The continental breakfast was not as fresh as I would have liked, although the spread was phenomenal. Cocktails also seemed a little lacklustre, however the mocktails were fantastic and flavourful

They should replace the management of this resort.

The entire experience from check-in to check-out was the worst I've ever had. I paid the same price as many other options, but I chose this one. After visiting this property, I still wonder why I chose it. Whatever drama I had, I could easily turn it into a full Netflix series.

This is already our 2nd time visiting BWP Sonasea. The best staff&service and great location to travel. We will definitely choose BWP Sonasea without hesitation for our next trip to PQC.

The water in the shower didn't drain properly but it wasn’t a major inconvenience.

The three-bedroom villa was excellent, spacious and comfortable, and completely changed our experience. The resort itself has great potential and good facilities, though as a whole Vietnam is still behind with customer service. Special recognition to Andrew from Guest Relations, who genuinely listened to our concerns, took action and turned a disappointing start into a very enjoyable stay. Thala spa was amazing!

The original 3 bedroom suite was very outdated despite being one of the top room categories. We experienced faulty TVs, master bedroom AC issues, an unexpectedly shared toilet, algae around the pool corners and a sewage smell around the pool area. I also developed a skin rash which I suspected was from the bedding. The rooftop lounge closes at 10pm, late-night room service is very limited, and airport transfer times are not flexible. Breakfast looks impressive with a large spread, but the actual options are quite repetitive. Our initial concerns were also not handled well until Andrew stepped in on the second day.

كان كل شي ممتاز اقامة مريحة وطاقم عمل منتبه وخاصة (اندرو) كان معنا بكل شي اعطانا الواتساب الخاص فيه لاي شي نحتاجه باي وقت صادف يوم اقامتنا تاريخ ميلاد زوجتي وارسلوا كيكة وعبارة تهنئة كان تصرف لطيف . الغرف نظيفه ومريحه . كل يوم مساء يتم توزيع قطع بتفور وعبارة تصبح على خير مكتوبة على ورقة شجر كانت لفته حلوه. يوجد مقابل المنتجع سوق ليلي متوفر فيه كل الاحتياجات وحتى الاكل الحلال. بوفيه الافطار متنوع وكثير واغلبه يناسب المسلمين وارجو الاهتمام وزيادة الاكل الحلال للمسلمين

يجب الاهتمام بالتكييف داخل الغرف فهو موزون مسبقا مما يجعل الغرف ليست بروده مناسبة للنوم. الماء الحار بالدش كان ضعيف وياخذ وقت طويل حتى تزداد الحرارة مما يهدر الكثير من الماء. الاهتمام وزيادة بالاكل الحلال للمسلمين

Was overall pleasant. Food was good.

The hotel was very dated so doesn’t really look like the photos. For example the pool tiles are broken a lot and the rooms are old. The bed we slept on was visibly very old as the mattress was worn out from where the other guests had slept overtime. Not really what you’d expect from a 5 star resort. There was also a kitchen but no utensils (we were told they aren’t provided when we asked) so not really sure what the purpose of the kitchen is.

We stayed at Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc with our entire family after arriving on December 3, 2025, and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious and comfortable rooms, well-maintained facilities, and a fantastic swimming pool. The beach is clean, and the overall atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The only small drawback was the food. While the quality was good, the buffet became a bit repetitive after a few days, and we would have appreciated a wider variety of dishes, especially for longer stays. Apart from that, everything was excellent. We truly enjoyed our holiday and created many wonderful family memories. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay on Phu Quoc Island and would be happy to return in the future.

The resort meets every expectation for a truly memorable vacation: * The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious choices. * The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained, with exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows. * The swimming pool is huge, crystal clear, and features water play areas for both adults and children. * The resort provides everything you need, so there’s no reason to leave the property—spa, gym, karaoke, kids’ playroom, restaurants, bars, a private beach, tour services, and motorbike and bicycle rentals. * The location is excellent, with a night market and many restaurants just across the road. * The staff are warm, friendly, and always willing to help. Overall, we discovered this resort by chance, and we truly feel lucky that we did. We look forward to coming back again in the near future!

We just arrived and had lunch at the ressorts’ restaurant. Very satisfied with the service and the food. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is very peaceful.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate her 10th birthday. Before the check-out incident, our stay was absolutely wonderful. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Trinh for her thoughtful care regarding our room, and Mr. Anh (Guest Relation Supervisor) for his proactive support with the hot water issue. Also, Mr. Nguyen The Hau and the Essence Restaurant team gave my daughter an unforgettable birthday celebration on July 14th. I had actually drafted a glowing 5-star review because of them. ​However, everything was completely shattered right after check-out due to the hostile behavior of a specific lifeguard and the shocking irresponsibility of the management. ​Since post-check-out facility rules vary by hotel, I had strictly confirmed with Mr. Anh beforehand that we were allowed to use the pool and shower facilities. Yet, when we requested an additional towel for my young daughter who has long hair, the lifeguard on duty acted in an incredibly derogatory manner. He picked up a wet, dirty towel straight out of the laundry return bin and aggressively told me to use it. ​When I demanded a fresh one, he reluctantly brought it but intentionally held onto it tightly, refusing to let go easily while showing clear hostility. I was completely humiliated right in front of my child and had to openly ask him why he was treating a paying guest like a criminal or a thief. He only offered a dismissive, half-hearted apology after I strongly protested. ​What made it even worse was the management’s response. I immediately complained to Ms. Ly (Duty Manager) and Mr. Truong (Recreation Supervisor). Ms. Ly tried to quiet me down by offering free water sports activities, which I flatly refused. This is not about seeking minor perks; it is about basic human respect. Furthermore, when I formally requested a written incident report to document this violation, the Duty Manager refused, claiming the hotel has no manual or protocol for issuing one. ​It is deeply frustrating and heartbreaking that my daughter had to witness her father being treated like a thief by resort staff on her milestone birthday trip. A Premier-tier international hotel should never allow such poor staff discipline and lack of corporate accountability. I am so please during my visit best western premier. Staffs are so friendly, polite, helpful and respectful. Facility is clean and beyond expectations. I especially thanks to Ms. Tran Nguyễn from restaurant service. She gave us a warm welcome, made us feeling like coming home. Seeing her smile every day is a blessing gift for all visitors and myself. I appreciate everything the hotel and its staffs have offered. Hồ bơi có độ sâu rất an toàn với trẻ em. Khách sạn còn có pool bar ngay trong hồ bơi khá thú vị. Ngoài ra còn có nhiều hoạt động và thiết bị vui chơi dưới nước để khách trải nghiệm. - Kids Club là một điểm cộng lớn. Khu vui chơi có rất nhiều đồ chơi, sạch sẽ và phù hợp với trẻ nhỏ. Một vài góp ý nhỏ để khách sạn hoàn thiện hơn: - Trong phòng chưa có giỏ hoặc khu vực riêng để đựng khăn tắm và đồ vải bẩn, điều này hơi bất tiện với các gia đình có trẻ nhỏ hoặc thường xuyên sử dụng hồ bơi. - Tại khu hồ bơi có dịch vụ cho thuê một số phương tiện vui chơi dưới nước dạng thuyền/cano bơm hơi gắn động cơ. Cá nhân tôi cảm thấy loại hình này chưa thực sự phù hợp, đặc biệt khi có nhiều trẻ em đang vui chơi trong khu vực hồ bơi. Nhìn chung, đây là một lựa chọn rất tốt cho các gia đình có trẻ nhỏ.

A great resort for our time spent in Phu Quoc. Great location right on the beach, as well as plenty of shops, markets, restaurants, cafes just outside the resort. Staff were friendly and accomodation. The buffet breakfast is one of the best! So many options and all very fresh! The facilities were great - multiple pools, kids playroom room, spa, activities, etc The staff were extremely helpful and prompt with any requests as well as being happy to share recommendations!

Отдельно хочется поблагодарить менеджера Андрея — очень внимательный, отзывчивый и профессиональный человек. Было видно, что он действительно старается помочь гостям и сделать отдых максимально комфортным. Всегда был на связи, интересовался, всё ли хорошо, и быстро решал любые вопросы. Большой комфортабеный отель, с большим количеством очень ответственного персонала. Если возникает какая-то проблема, то сразу после обращения незамедлительно всё решается. Я в Европе такого не встречал. Огромное спасибо руководству и Персоналу на наш отдых. Всем здоровья и процветания.

Great layout hotel, fab pools & awesome beach setting with glorious sunsets every day!!! Good sized room & comfy bed 👍🏼 Staff were wonderful & accommodating. Supermarkets & night market directly opposite the hotel. ❤️❤️❤️

Hotel is not maintained to a high standard & did not meet the expectation as per website. Chipped tiles in the pool. No control of guests walking through the lobby into the lifts dripping wet! No service around the top pool. Sun beds are worn & very uncomfortable. No WC at the beach itself. Towels old & discoloured. No evening entertainment, except for a repetitive 20 mins fire show most nights. Overpriced drinks & extras. Beyond the hotel boundaries very dirty 😫 No bars close to the hotel.

Not a good place to stay while in phu qoc the rooms are small air conditions dont work water leakage from rooms, breakfast no good at all. Not at all worth spending so much money

Отличный отель, очень понравился! Чистый, аккуратный, красивая территория, хороший пляж, завтрак очень хороший, большой выбор. Очень здорово, что рядом вся инфраструктура: кафе, магазины, массажные салоны, фруктовые лавки, очень удобно.

Osebje, lokacija in ambient v hotelu odličen. Zelo velika izbira odprtega bifeja za zajtrk, ter sprejemljive cene za večerjo v restavraciji, prav tako blizu hotela (ulico stran) dostopne tudi druge restavracije in trgovine. Zunanji bazen in plaža takoj poleg hotela, čista in lahko dostopna. Vsak večer v baru ob plaži fire show, ter lep sprejem za sončni zahod ob plaži.

Postelje (vzmetnica) bi lahko bila bolj udobna ampak za kratek čas okej.

Очень красивый отель с приветливым и внимательным персоналом. Отдельно хочется отметить сотрудника на ресепшене — Андрея, он говорит по-русски и очень помог нам сделать наше пребывание максимально комфортным. Завтраки нам особенно понравились — всё было очень вкусно и разнообразно. Бассейн большой, всегда можно найти свободные лежаки, хотя сами лежаки не самые удобные. На пляж при отеле ходили редко, так как вода в море была мутной — чаще ездили на другие пляжи. Зато рядом с отелем есть ночной рынок: там можно вкусно поесть, сделать массаж и просто приятно провести время.

Лежаки не очень удобные, так как без матрасов. Вода в море была мутной, но сам пляж чистый и ухоженный. В целом это никак не помешало нашему хорошему отдыху.

Das Team hat nichts organisiert bekommen. Servicekräfte wirkten überfordert. manchmal waren keine Handtücher an den Pools und am Strand vorhanden. Geschirr wurde bei Frühstück nicht abgeräumt und nicht neu eingedeckt. Im Restaurant warteten wir 40min darauf bedient zu werden. Viele Gäste die sich nicht gut benehmen (meist aus Russland). Das Personal schreitet nicht ein

I had a pleasant stay at Best Western in Phu Quoc. The hotel has a lovely ambience and the service was excellent throughout. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. My room was neat, clean, and had a nice balcony, which added to the overall comfort. The hotel also has its own private beach, and the evening fire dance performances were a great experience. The rooftop bar with a DJ created a lively atmosphere at night. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including a dedicated Indian breakfast corner. There is also a small convenience store near the hotel. However, although an Indian buffet was available, the taste and quality were disappointing. Indian restaurants are also quite far away and require a taxi. The hotel is located away from most major attractions as well.

The facilities start to be a bit dated and the the hotel is huge so it's a mass tourism experience. Breakfast was good but very crowded. I was very dissapointed by the quality of the food and drinks at the Beachbar - this place has so much of potential but the level of service is bogus.

Wir haben insgesamt 7 Nächte in dem Hotel verbracht und können das Hotel nur empfehlen. Das Hotel hat auf uns einen gepflegten sauberen Eindruck gemacht. Das Frühstücksbuffet war zwar jeden Tag identisch, dafür aber sehr reichhaltig. Super war der private Strand, der nur für die Hotelgäste war, auf dem man eigentlich immer eine Liege bekommen hat. Auch die große Poolanlage war toll zum Baden. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und ausreichend groß. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Allgemein war die ganze Anlage wirklich sehr sehr schön mit den vielen Bäumen. Gäste sollte auch mal nach einer Shuttle Möglichkeit fragen. Das Hotel bietet zu einigen Spots der Insel einen Shuttleservice an.

Das Hotel war leider etwas weit vom Schuss und eher abgelegen. Trotzdem gab es dort direkt vor dem Hotel eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit und auch ein Nightmarket sowie Restaurants. Wer dagegen am Geschehen sein möchte, sollte sich vielleicht eher ein Hotel in der Nähe von Sunset Town oder etwas weiter mittig der Insel nehmen. Ansonsten fühlt es sich eher wie eine Geisterstadt an, wenn man mal den Bereich des Night Markets verlässt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war immer sehr chaotisch. Aber für das Verhalten einiger Hotelgäste kann das Hotel nix. Das Personal könnte auch etwas besser Englisch sprechen, um sich auch mal etwas internationaler mit den Gästen verständigen zu können. Aber die Kommunikation war auf der ganzen Insel eher etwas schwierig :-) Die Poolanlage war zwar sehr groß und schön. Der Pool dürfte aber auch mal etwas mehr Pflege gebrauchen.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the dislikers… The hotel is overcrowded and noisy. Breakfast is totally chaos, and very un-hygenic. Not enough staff to clean and prepare tables. The food is good though, many options. But to be honest, its stressful. The hotel should consider limiting how many that can buy breakfast. We did have halfboard, and dinner was much better. Not that many people and decent options to eat. The hotel itself is run-down. No where to stay around the pools either. Pools are pumped with noisy families. We have kids ourselfes, but it just gets to crazy 😅 Better to stay at the Beach, but like any other Beach on Phu Quoc, they are green and full og Carbage. In general, Phu Quoc has been a major dissapointment to us. Beaches are nowhere as describes. Sao and Khem, all are green water and dirty. Its just not taken proper Care of. We did go on a snorkling trip with on-bird, which was very good. And we think that if you go, the. Probably do some island hopping. We did see nice beaches on that trip. But theres surely better beaches and stuff to see on the mainland. No need to spend time on Phu Quoc

*Not great for North Americans/Western Europeans* Overall very poor experience. Hospitality standards you’d receive at other great chains such as Hilton or Marriott don’t exist here. Staffs English is poor. Shortcuts are visibly taken. The rooms are cleaned with speed and not accuracy. Guest services lacks compassion. Overcrowded breakfast with guests that lack common sense and courtesy. (Stagger it out) my girlfriend was pushed aside multiple times by granny’s and young kids. First night here I got sick from something we ate, and the only response from the hotel was “take them to the hospital” when all we needed was a bottle of sparkling water and tissue paper. 2nd night we were notified of a private party taking place in the middle of the hotel that lasted until 10:30pm (22:30) that included a microphone and karaoke late night, including flashing strobeish lights that were glancing up at our room. Next is the smell of the place. The whole pool area smells of sewage water, so swimming in the ocean is your best bet. Our last night we just called and asked for a simple bottle of water to be brought up to the room, and we were returned with being hung up on. After that I spoke to the manager on duty and informed her of all this and how it’s adding up to be just a poor experience. This is a nice property for best western, but it lives up to the best western motels in rural America. I don’t advise any North American to stay here because service standards that we know and love and go on vacation for are lacking. I am not worried about getting anything out of this. Me and my partner work in hospitality in the Bay Area and this place was a joke to us. As for Vietnam goes, we’ve been very well taken care of at our Marriott and Hilton stays, and we absolutely love Vietnam and all it has to offer. We’ve had a blast. But this was our last stay before we head back and go back to work and the Best western Sonasea Phu Quoc does not meet a western standard. Pinch your Pennie’s together and stay at some place that cares about the guest and not squeezing for profit. They cater to tour groups from the countries north of Vietnam. They could do much much better with better hospitality standards. Thanks for the complimentary beach towels.

Hommikusöök oli rikkalik ja sobis igale maitsele. Hotellil on suur 270 kraadise vaatega katuse baar, mida üllatavalt vähe külastati. Toad olid suured ja mugavate vooditega. Hotelli ukse ees oli kohe pood, pesumaja ja ööturg. Rannas on piisavalt meelelahutust.

Aastavahetuse perioodil oli hotell 100% täituvusega, hommikusöökidel, rannas ja basseini ääres andis see tunda. Ei sobi, kui eelistad rahu ja vaikust. Rohkem midagi ette heita ei ole.

- Très luxueux, tout est propre, lumineux et moderne, lit comme salle de bain - Emplacement idéal, pas trop loin de l'aéroport - Piscine très grande avec plusieurs espaces et bassins ce qui permet de ne pas être forcément agglutinés à tous les autres clients de l'hôtel - Petit-déjeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix - Plage privée, belle vue sur le coucher de soleil - A proximité du marché Sonasea avec streetfood et souvenirs - Le personnel nous a aidé a réserver un scooter pour pouvoir nous balader sur l'île

- Parfois difficile de trouver de la place pour s'asseoir pendant le petit-déjeuner, et un peu trop d'attente pour les machines à café au buffet du matin. - Emplacement éloigné du centre-ville de Phu Quoc mais cela reste accessible notamment en scooter. - Manque de transats notamment vers la piscine, c'était difficile de trouver des places.

The breakfast selection was good. The rooftop bar was beautiful. Close proximity to the beach and night market. Housekeeping was prompt.

The breakfast was fairly disorganised and overcrowded. On the first day, we went at 9.30am and it was chaos. There were people everywhere and you aren't seated at the breakfast, so you sort of walk in and hope for the best, i.e. a seat with placemats and cutlery. We learned from our mistake and went to breakfast at 6.30am the rest of the time we were there. The hallways can get pretty noisy when you're in the room. Also, there was a kitchenette, but no cutlery, or crockery at all, so I'm not sure what the purpose of it was.

Strongly recommend this hotel. Everything was excellent. Somehow I felt the bed mattress of the BWVilla too soft for me. Stayed 3 nights but could not use private pool because of some technical issue? The staffs were trying to solve a whole day. The beach was little distance, however the buggy car always were ready for us to take anywhere in the hotel/villa area including the night market.

Kitchen ware was not in the villa house, you need to have them upon request for 4 person the additional amount will be charged even though you are 5 people in there.

Staff at the restaurant speek very little english. It is difficult to communicate! First day I asked if they serve food at the bar and they answerd, no. Then, the next day we found out, that you can order food... so they didn't understood me the first day. The water at the sea was dirty, so you could not see your feet standing in the water. In 7 days we didn't get a chance to lay down on a beach chair. All of them where taken every day!

The hotel had large pools which were ideal for families. Very good choices for breakfast, hotel was very busy and chaotic at times but room was decent, bed comfy and good sound proofing.

The location was excellent. The room was really nice and comfortable for 3 people.

The staff could use some training as not all of them were efficient and easy to communicate with. However, they were helpful and polite in any case.

Amazing location , there is night market right outside the hotel , the beach is kinda muddy but the bar is pretty good … overall i would say great place for family to relax

I wish they had the certain schedules for fun games , so that people could enjoy

なんと言っても、目の前にナイトマーケットがあることが便利です。ご飯もすぐに食べに行けるし、マッサージもたくさんあります。お土産を買うのもすぐですし、美味しいカフェもあります。コンビニは目の前で、ランドリーまであります。何も困りません。施設も綺麗にしてあり、サンセットも最高な状態で見れます。子ども達も大変満足していて、夕方まで海で遊んでいました。とてもよい思い出ができました。
