The cold weather and our cabin was very cold

L’emplacement aux pieds des montagnes avec la vue magnifique.

L’absence de chauffage dans la chambre alors que les nuits étaient très froides en juillet.

Beautiful location. Lovely chalet type accommodation with self catering facilities or you can enjoy the bar and restaurant. My only regret is that I was only there for one night!

Roof leaked with heavy rain..and there was a little mouse 🐁 running around in the unit.

The location. Nothing else, it was a shocker!!! From staff attitude to the establishment itself.

Absolutely everything, not like the photographs and there was a legit case of animal cruelty infront of the guests.

The horse poo in the play area and near the cabin. Someone needs to pickup the poo or fence the play area.

The cabin was not good value. Appliances in the unit did not work Water drips from the bathroom ceiling after using the shower. Overall not recommended...

The staff were very mean to us. They stole my black leggings.

Place is spacious and clean. Needs a bit of an upgrade though

We arrived about an hour early and were able to check in early. Friendly staff, nice grounds, nice unit.

DSTV did not work in the Park House.

Great property with lots to do .. walking , animal watching , horse riding.. Room was spotlesss .. staff at at levels very friendly

The Place.

We booked thru bookings.com and was called by the Resort to say, what we have booked is not available due to the system not being updated. We were moved to the farm house.(3 mins away from resort n had to drive up n dwn as we had family staying at the resort) They won't able to move our dates but offered us an extra stay which we will have to pay. Receptionist told us 4k a night then 3k.

Location in the Cathkin area is ideal. Our unit was very comfortable-it was in an excellent condition and had everything we needed.

The only thing we were not too happy about- the position of the microwave. It was on a shelf on the wall and as it was positioned over the counter it was a bit difficult to access easily. But we coped with it .

The view at Dragon Peaks is the best in the Champagne Valley. The accommodation was nothing fancy, but it was exceptionally clean, everything was in exceptional condition. The staff were friendly and the cleaning was at the highest level I have experienced in recent years. What a lovely family breakaway, but also ideal for couples!

I would just recommend providing Wifi - but other than that- no complaints

Breakfast order couldn't be fulfilled because they didn't have ingredients to complete the order. I had to change the order. The waitress forgot to tell us about this, so we had to wait a long time to receive the food.

I like the environment breathe taking, rooms were clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly. All in all we were very happy👌👌

The Animals and how kid friendly the place is

The smell of the grass roofs, Inside the chalet.. It was too strong we could not sleep upstairs, instead had to sleep on couch

Spectacular view, room was very clean and comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing we didnt like excepting possible a fire place in the room would have been perfect.

Some staff weren't very Friendly, one of the Resturant waiters and one of the receptionists. They weren't helpful, and wanted to just answer our questions to be done with us.

The diverse activities and location, quiet and close to the mountains

Our accommodation was spacious and well kept. The area and scenery is amazing.

Outside Maintenance appears not to be a priority.

i was there on a working holiday. i checked in on monday, i work remotely, the wifi signal was pathetic, it kept dropping me. they need wifi extenders. i paid for R4000 plus but they kept lying that there was a fault with Eskom. when i checked there was no such thing. which means they deliberately switched it off because i was there off peak, there was only 2 people in the lakeside row of chalets but miraculously on wednesday when a whole lof of people checked in...the power was restored. if they want to save on power they should say so before people book and install prepaid metres

Beautiful setting with comfortable accomodation. Staff were very helpful and went out if their way to assist.

Hiking trails on the property not clearly marked and overgrown. Dissapointing

Very good location, central to the most beautiful surrounding Drakensberg. Did the Monks Cowl trail - stunning! Orange coloured Liquid Amber trees in the fall was a bonus!

We travelled with 2 boys 17 years old that wanted to do some fishing in the Drakensberg. Had a few options for the 4 nights but booked this place because the website stated "fishing and 4 dams on site". There was no fish at all! Tried all possible fishing options off-site, but no luck - the lodges in the area are not accommodating when it comes to non-residents! The ones that have fish - refuse to let you in. Result: we had to book an extra day at Royal Natal National park - Wonderfull fishing experience there!

Our room, overlooking the small dam, was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed

It is a very laid back resort with a family feel in beautiful surroundings. I loved the horse riding organization, very well organized, with clear levels for riders and the guide and rides were very nice. They also care very much for the horses. The chalet was comfortable and the restaurant very nice and cozy.

The game room had broken pool tables and other broken games like air hockey. It wouldn't hurt especially for the pool tables (both not working properly) to have working games especially when you put in coins and not all the balls come out and the white ball doesn't either.

The log cabins are in a terrible state and needs urgent upgrading

The Log Cabin we stay in was amazing and clean. we had a perfect view of the mountain.

Our friend's cabin was not in a good condition, and they almost paid the same price as us. They booked at the resort and really not up to standard

Отличное место, потрясающая природа и тишина! В доме всё есть для проживания, полностью оборудованная кухня. Рядом с выездом на территорию есть магазин с продуктами и предметами первой необходимости. В нём можно купить угли и дрова, а также то что на них приготовить, рыбу или мясо. На территории есть открытые бассейны. Нам всё понравилось.

The Facility is good but I was disappointed as I had booked a 1 night stay and it said breakfast included but was told other wise.

When booking my stay breakfast was included but in the morning I was told that breakfast was not included very disappointed

First chalet had issues so we were moved to another chalet which was much better. The staff at reception were great and sorting out the problems immediately.

The restaurant was exceptionally poor and the food well below standard to a point that my son couldn't eat it. The lady manager on duty was very dismissive of our problems and just wanted to get the credit card payment done while I was still discussing our issues. She couldn't leave fast enough. The owner of the restaurant at least phoned me 2 days later after we had left to apologise for the inconvenience and promised to make up for it so felt a little better after the discussion with him.

Fan in room was way to powerfully. Unit could have done with aircon.

The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious

Place is really not well maintained. Dams are in absolutely poor condition and paying extra for the lake view rooms are not worth it. There's more water plants, actually covers up alot of the dams.

We enjoyed the restaurant food.

There were issues with our unit that the staff were aware of before we arrived but did not mention to us. The oven was also not working which we made the staff aware of and we requested that someone contact us about a discount on our stay given that the unit was not in working order and they were aware of this before we came and did not tell us. The unit was also very musty when we arrived. We have still not been contacted weeks later. The kids pool was green and the trampolines were broken (cordoned off).

Room was well appointed and large, it seemed clean as well.

The room smelled strongly of damp and was musty. The shower did not drain and flooded the place. The fridge made a loud noise at night making it hard to sleep. There was no aircon. It would have been great to have a complimentary teabag or coffee sachet
