Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres - All Inclusive

I really liked the facility in how it was kept, the restaurant options were all really well and the food was great, all around the service of the whole resort was superb. Some of the names of the staff stood out with the excellent service we received . Not a whole lot that I didn’t like. But here are a couple of things that could be looked at by property Restaurants ask for a filter to be installed for the ice machines, the ice cubes did not taste filtered. Our shower had a very strong sulfur smell the whole stay for 6 days

The resort looks impressive in photos and the grounds are attractive. Unfortunately, that is where the luxury ended for us. The reality of our stay was completely different from the image and standard we expected when booking.

One of the worst hotel experiences we have had, and certainly one of the most disappointing considering we paid around £3,000 for 10 nights. The resort markets itself as a luxury all-inclusive experience, but our stay felt anything but luxurious. Restaurant and bar service was consistently terrible, the bed sheets were dirty, and we had food that did not seem fresh and left us feeling unwell. At this price and supposed standard, basic cleanliness, decent food and professional service should not even be something guests have to worry about. What made the experience even worse was the membership system. After paying around £3,000 for an all-inclusive holiday, we discovered that parts of the resort and beach were effectively off limits to us because we were not members. We did not feel the extent of these restrictions was made sufficiently clear when booking. It creates an unpleasant two-tier atmosphere where some paying guests are made to feel less important than others. The worst moment was when we tried to access one of the restricted areas and were told that security would be called on us. Being spoken to like that while you are a paying guest at a supposedly luxury resort is completely unacceptable and made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed. We were also frustrated by additional charges for things we reasonably expected from an all-inclusive resort. By the end of the stay, the words “all inclusive” felt very misleading compared with the experience we actually received. For £3,000, we expected an unforgettable holiday for the right reasons. Instead, we left feeling that we had massively overpaid for poor service, questionable cleanliness, disappointing food, restrictions and an atmosphere that made non-members feel like second-class guests. A beautiful-looking resort cannot compensate for the way guests are treated.

I loved the attentiveness of the staff from arrival to time we checked out. The facility and amenities were great. The nightly entertainment was nice as well.

La chambre 4007 est un bon emplacement. La restauration est vraiment exceptionnelle. Les employés sont incroyablement efficaces...rigueur , sérieux, et professionnalisme a tout point. Un all exclusive digne de ce nom . Je viens de France et honnêtement les cocktails sont faits avec une rigueur déconcertante. Je pense que ce complexe a tout compris , je venais pour la première fois au Mexique et j'ai pas eu envie de sortir du complexe . Bravo messieurs et Alfredo au restaurant Mexicain...il est vraiment top.

J'ai vraiment tout apprécié si je devais relevé un point, c est la discothèque qui pour moi est pas a la hauteur . On dine des repas exceptionnels, on boit un petit cocktail au loggy bar préparé avec une classe déconcertante et ensuite quand on se dirige vers la fameuse discothèque, là javoue , il manque quelques choses...un détail a régler et votre complexe sera vraiment exceptionnelle. Je suis actuellement parti au Secrets tides a punta cana après le votre ... Soit disant plus luxueux , je vous cache pas que je prefere le votre

It was dirty even pillows,short of stuff and lifts were broken 5 days out of 8 days! If you didn’t have $ to tip the stuff you were not served as a customer and if you wanted to withdraw from the ATM machine you had to pay 20% commission. We were generous at the begining thinking we tip everyone at the beginning of our stay and we will be taken care of but that is not true so tip daily even as little as $1 works better than tip $20 at the beginning. There were so short in stuff that we had to wait for 30 min at the luv y for someone show us our room. After 9 hours flight they even didn’t bother to give us a welcome drink.

The property and staff were amazing, I loved having a butler he made sure I was taken care of my made all my reservations. I LOVED that they are premium liquor options, that's not typically with all inclusives.

It was not a issues for me since I had no plans on leaving the property, but It is far from night life or outside dining.

Very clean. Staff were friendly and very professional. Great food and drinks. Beaches were pristine and comfortable - no seaweed and perfect sand. The excursion to Chichen Itza was fabulous. It was perfect except the excursion to Isla Mujeres.

The excursion to Isla Mujeres (made through you) was horrible. I was not aware that snorkeling was so limited. The first spot was not an option because I am over the age of 60. The second spot was very congested and did not appear to be safe with the number of boats in the space. I thought I could snorkel off the beach but they did not provide any services on the beach. In fact, the excursion dropped you off at a public overcrowded beach and left. There was very limited space to swim and no snorkeling options. It was busy with many little shops and locals constantly trying to sell you items. No one from the excursion company was there if there were any problems. For an upscale resort, I expected that you contracted with excursion companies that provided safe and matching high quality care. Very disappointed and a wasted day. I just waited for them to return and take me back to the resort.

Todo nos encantó, los restaurantes (especialmente el italiano y el francés), las piscinas, la habitación... Todo fue maravilloso.

El primer día tuvimos algunos pequeños inconvenientes que al día siguiente estuvieron resueltos por nuestra mayordomo Melissa.

El servicio de comidas y bebidas es muy bueno, teniendo en cuenta de que es un all inclusive. Los restaurantes a la carta, mayormente no requieren reserva. Si viajan solo adultos, es clave poder reservar en el sector para mayores de 18. Tiene áreas especiales designadas, louges, amenities,y mayordomo. Con este servicio hay room Service sin costo las 24hs. la habitación es grande y cómoda. El personal es todo muy ameno. Es sin duda una experiencia Premium.

Algunas áreas requerían mantenimiento. Las teclas de los ascensores no funcionaban correctamente, las máquinas de hielo de nuestro piso no funcionaba ninguna. La limpieza de los baños comunes a veces era deficiente para la cantidad de huéspedes. Los snacks de los lounges eran siempre los mismos. Podrían variarlos más. Respecto de la gestión del sargazo, si bien había poco, el trabajo de remoción era lento. Hoteles vecinos, mucho más económicos tenían sus playas limpias. El majestic no tanto.

The food was great we’ve stayed at many resorts and this one one of best food options. The buffet was good and we really enjoyed the hibachi (reservations required) and the steakhouse.

* Location/views: When you walked in, there wasn’t much of a view because a high-rise/building blocks the resort view. * Check-in: Took 15–20 minutes and felt unnecessarily long. * Restaurant dress code: The steakhouse was very picky about shoes. * Alcohol served to your 14-year-old: You repeatedly confirmed that her strawberry daiquiri should be virgin, but she was still served alcohol. * Food allergy safety: You disclosed nut and shellfish allergies throughout the stay, starting at check-in, but the handling was concerning. * Coffee shop labeling: A brownie was labeled gluten-free but did not indicate that it contained nuts. Your daughter with a nut allergy almost grabbed it, and when you questioned staff, they didn’t seem to know it contained nuts either. * Kids/family-side views: You weren’t impressed with the views/overall setup on the kids’ side. * Distance: The resort was about an hour from the airport. * GoMajestic transportation: Their transportation required you to leave about four hours before your flight, which you felt was excessive and unnecessarily cut into your remaining vacation time.

Nos encantó, excelente servicio, estamos recién casados y nos dieron el paquete de luna de miel por parte del hotel, el chef Álvaro increíble hace unas opciones veganas maravillosas, especialista en diferentes dietas o alergias.

The property was beautiful from what I saw.

Unfortunately, I booked my room at this resort and when I checked in I had to be moved to a completely different resort because my room was no longer available?! It was a HUGE inconvenience and not what I originally paid for. It was VERY upsetting. I really wish I could’ve experienced this resort.

Our room was so dirty. We kept requesting pillowcases for our pillows and they would never bring it. There was shit on the wall and then there was mold everywhere.

The staff was very professional and kind. Angel checked us in at the front desk. He was very professional. Carlos showed us to our room and he was excellent.

Un séjour magnifique, personnel au top professionnel et sérieux, la plage magnifique quasiment pas de sargasse, chambre confortable et propre, et que dire de la nourriture et des boissons, de qualité et en abondance, on a pu expérimenter tous les restaurants qu’on voulait.

We stayed in a Swim-Up Suite with a garden view, and that was probably the best part of our stay. It gave us a quiet place away from the main pool area. The private plunge pool was unusable during the day. The water was never changed and became almost like boiling water under the sun. The bottom was dirty and appeared to be rarely, if ever, cleaned, which was unacceptable for a luxury resort. The room itself was already very worn out and did not feel like a luxury suite. The mirrors were heavily scratched, many surfaces showed visible wear, and we found numerous insects in the bed linens. The shower floor was built without enough slope, causing water to flood the bathroom after a very quick shower. Our private plunge pool/jacuzzi also did not appear to be cleaned properly, and the water became extremely hot during the day. Overall, the room looked tired and poorly maintained. The hair dryer was also in very poor condition. It smelled like burning plastic while in use and overheated so badly that the casing became extremely hot and red, making it feel unsafe to use.

Unfortunately, this resort was a huge disappointment and did not meet our expectations of a 5-star all-inclusive property. The lobby and grand staircase create a beautiful first impression, but once you get beyond them, the rooms and many of the facilities feel neglected and poorly maintained.

The outlets didn't work very well with charging our phones and other electronic gadgets. There were only 2 out of 5/6 outlets that worked well enough. Also, the bed and seats on the rooftop were always damp so it was hard for us to actually use it and enjoy it.

Todo! Somos familia con dos hijos de 5 y 10. Las instalaciones son geniales; el personal es super amable y atento. Habitación: para familias con niños, recomiendo la habitación con piscina particular. Es un disfrute! Actividades en hotel: Las actividades son geniales y nos dejaron con la boca abierta en numerables ocasiones: noche de Mexico, show con fuego, magia, etc. El Kids Club tiene actividades durante todo el día. Comida: Cero colas a la hora de comer en buffet, mucha variedad y calidad. Los restaurante temáticos son geniales: italiano, japonés, etc… Playa: multitud de tumbonas y camas balinesas. La única pega es que viajamos en época de sargazo (julio) y efectivamente allí lo encontramos. A pesar de que mucho menos que otras zonas como Riviera Maya, algunos días se hizo molesto. A pesar de ello, nos bañamos y lo disfrutamos. Repetiremos!

I loved the pool activities and the gym offerings. I also REALLY enjoyed the Italian and Japanese restaurants! The food was sooooo good! The room service lunch and dinner menu was also VERY expansive and quite delicious!

So the person who I came with and I upgraded our room during check-in to where we were supposed to have a concierge. His name was Jormon. Besides the very first day we met, we never saw him again. I feel as though, had I not reached out to him first, I also wouldn't have heard from him during the entirety of our stay. There were two days I reached out directly. One was regarding an issue with some things we'd requested in our room that hadn't been followed through and the other was regarding an issue with our toilet. For both occasions, he was not on the premises, and directed me to another resort department (who were VERY helpful). I have been to other resorts with concierge service and their attention to detail and constant communication was A1! Additionally, another friend of ours who also had this service was overjoyed with her person. She screenshot and sent me the communication he had been providing her! He sent daily greetings and schedules of things happening around the resort. He'd also taken her on a tour of the whole place so she would know where everything was. This is the type of attention to detail and service I am accustomed to when I pay for an upgraded "Diamond" status. Beyond that aspect, the music at the club could've been a bit more "diverse." It seemed to cater more to a "specific" type of crowd.

The staff was the most alluring. Everyone was so polite and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and the food was pretty good consistently.

We didn't like that the pools closed so early every night, the entertainment venues were a bit sparse and some were cheap and cheesy. We were disappointed that most of the restaurants had very limited hours and there wasn't a 24-hour option. There was a taco fiesta night where all the restaurants were closed except the Taco fiesta, and if you didn't want tacos... You were out, unless you wanted to dress up to go to the steakhouse which has a dress code. We were also disappointed that there wasn't a 24-hour coffee station of some kind. You could get coffees from the barista but they were very small and you had to wait.

The location, the staff and the entire setup. We checked in on a Friday and there was a Mexican show, it was mind blowing and the food options were amazing. The steakhouse has some succulent steaks.

The checkin time was too long even though I had done a pre-checkin.

Tuvimos problemas en conectarnos al Chromecast, que era la única forma de ver Netflix y YouTube. Todos los días tuvimos problemas excepto el último día. Había un error en la aplicación del horario de uno de los restaurantes y llegué a ir pensando que estaba abierto a altas horas de la noche y en realidad, estaba cerrado. También te decían que el mayordomo estaba disponible de 7 am a 11 pm, pero la realidad es que el mayordomo tenía un horario de entrada a las 12 pm y salía a las 8 pm, entonces te comentaban que marcaras de tu habitación al número "0" del hotel. Considero que debería haber dos turnos de los mayordomo, para que este punto pueda cumplirse de mejor forma. Fuera de eso, todo excelente.

La comida muy mala , pedi servicio a la habitation y me me trajeron una pechuga de pollo toda seca y dura , y la picina de la habitation estaba sucia, la habitation muy caliente

Hay muchas cosas que no me gustaron. Claramente la calidad del hotel y su servicio dejan ocho que desear. Al llegar a la habitación, me encuentro con que el inodoro no andaba, tuve que quejarme 5 veces y aun asi no lo reparaban ni me ofrecían otra habitación. Lejos de solucionar el problema, dejaron el botón del desagote despegado de la pared para que yo meta la mano dentro de la pared y lo solucione cada vez que no anduviera. Por otro lado, el jacuzzi exterior tampoco se podía usar. El tapón estaba roto y no se podía llenar para usarlo. Otro tema realmente molesto es el uso de los espacios en común. Tres de los cinco días que estuve en el hotel, me sacaron de la zona de piletas que escogí para estar ya que se iba a realizar una boda, una sector del hotel por el que yo ya había pagado. No solo no me dejaron disfrutar de esa pileta, sino que una vez que te echan de ese sector, es imposible encontrar una reposera y mucho menos una sombrilla para tener un poco de sombra, y eso que el hotel tenia tan solo una ocupación del 70%. Otro tema importante, y el cual me resultaba muy molesto, era que los mozos tardaban mucho en traerte la bebida a la mesa. Pidas lo que pidas de beber, llegaba casi cuando estabas terminando de comer.

The outside was beautiful and the main entrance and surrounding areas were pristine.

When I got there the guy taking the reservations made us feel like we would not be able to enjoy the full experience with the wedding party because we’re on the family side. We paid extra for the adult side and Majestic Clubs that we didn’t even use. This is our 4th time going to Cancun and this venue is extremely over priced. The room needed deep cleaning the floors weren’t properly swept and it had mold spores on the bathroom walls. The couch was rough, and both the couch and chairs needed to be steamed clean. We enjoyed hot water one night of the stay. All other days shower water was warm damn near cold. The food was ok. I’ve had better at other resorts.

I rarely if ever write reviews. As a busy medical resident looking for a solo trip getaway for relaxation, this property did not disappoint! The food was delicious. The room was phenomenal. I HIGHLY recommend booking the Elegance Club due to the perks that come with it. Katia was my butler and she went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. The entertainment and vibes were amazing!

We have visited many hotels all over the world, but Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres is one of the best, a really outstanding place. It's organized very well, and it's impressive how the staff is able to efficiently manage so many customers and so many restaurants and activities. We definitely plan to come back! Our room (number 5423) was amazing, with a private terrace and a jacuzzi, so we could have a hydromassage after the beach, and it was great. The bed is large and very comfortable. The bathroom is modern, with the area including the washbasins and a bath tub being part of the room, and only wc and shower behind closed doors. The room also include a very nice big wardrobe, a sofa in a corner near a big window, a balcony, and a small area with fridge, coffee machine and table. Practically an apartment with an amazing ocean view, so we really hope to be able to book the same room when we come back. The cleaning is perfect, and there are different staff people for maintenance, for refilling drinks and snacks, and for ensuring fresh towels aee always available - we really want to thank these people because they do a great job and they are friendly and competent. The resort has 7 restaurants, and we could not decide which one is better. The breakfast is delicious, with a huge variety of different plates, all wonderful - salads, fresh fruit, mexican dishes, sweets, eggs...whatever one can hope to find, it's there, and in generous amounts. Also dinner is great, one can choose among several options and all of them are great. Every day and evening several activities are organized, for example we had the chance to attend very good shows ranging from jazz concerts to magic shows, we really had a nice time.

As mentioned, everything is good and we found nothing we could complain about. Maybe some extra could be offered as part of some packages at a lower price, for example haircuts or massages are expensive, I would maybe use more of these extras if offered for example at a reduced price in some offers, like the one of the Club, but it's just an example.

Have stayed at Elegance before liked it so much we wanted to go back. They are now over booking and then transferring people to their other resort without an option. They call it an upgrade, it is not.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel au Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres. Franchement, tout était au rendez-vous pour passer de superbes vacances. Un immense merci à notre majordome Jorman, qui a clairement fait toute la différence. Il a été absolument exceptionnel : d’une gentillesse rare, toujours disponible, très réactif au moindre petit souci et toujours avec le sourire. Il a su régler rapidement chaque demande, nous conseiller parfaitement pour nos excursions et surtout être présent du début à la fin de notre séjour, de notre arrivée jusqu’au check-out. Un vrai professionnel passionné par son travail. Les chambres sont grandes, confortables et agréables. L’hôtel en lui-même est magnifique et l’ambiance très agréable. Nous avons également trouvé le personnel globalement très gentil, disponible et chaleureux. Mention particulière pour Xiunnel, qui a été d’une gentillesse remarquable et une très belle rencontre humaine.

Le ménage manquait parfois de rigueur, notamment le changement des draps qui n’a pas été fait au bout du 5ᵉ jour avant que nous le signalions. Heureusement, Jorman a réglé cela rapidement. Deux membres du personnel (Lili et Heyder) ont été désagréables à notre égard. Cela a été signalé au majordome. Mis à part ces deux personnes, le reste du personnel était irréprochable.

The actual food for some of the dinner restaurants could improve. Some dishes were too salty.
