Me and my daughter have been here a few times now because we love the pool and breakfast. Always a nice little getaway! Staff are always amazing and so helpful.

The place was ok and the staff were ok, we wasn't aware we had to pay £15 to use the pool it wasn't said in the listing and as we're collage students we couldn't afford that we were looking forward to the pool disappointed 😞

The place is very much in need of an upgrade. I have stayed here 3 times and it looks the same. I had a pint of Guinness which was really not nice. The room still had toilet paper in it after it had been cleaned.

The pool was great, pkenty of towels are provided. The breakfast was fantastic!

No handwash in the room, the bodywash and shampoo at the pool was also empty. Also the games room looked like it was being used for staff trainingvand tgere were tables upon the pool table so couldnt use. 2 plug sockets in room and no tv signal

The hotel is absolutely filthy, worn down and not fit for purpose. The photos on the website look nothing like the actual hotel. I did not stay and requested a refund. I was told I would receive this a month ago and I have still not received it. The property is now under new management however I am not receiving no reply to any of my messages.

The swimming pool

The room wasn't clean and on the photos it was excelent we were there for 5 days and they never changed the beds the toloet was alsa nasty!

The location and the staff that greeted us 2 men (possible management) were great the size of the room it was like a mini apartment

Where do i start the room was filthy even though we had to wait to check in because it still wasnt finished with the cleaners it was so dirty kept getting black feet from the dirty floors not ideal when your just out the shower so you need to wear shoes or slippers ideally. The bathroom blind is an old batteres alimimum one that is falling to bits gaps in it where it is broken and considering it is ground floor would think this would be sorted! Moved the side table to be able to plug my charger in there was a previous guests false nails that had obviously came off and so much dust and dirt it takes 2 minutes to move and hoover there was vile there was crisp packets under the beds! My daughter dropped a toy which went under and wish id never seen! The curtains hanging off wakes you up at 6am its that bright. The worst issue we had was by far the worst i have ever had anywhere on the 2md night we came in from being down the front and walked into what can only be described as sewage the whole room stank so bad that i nearly threw up and the kids! Put the shower on for my daughter aged 6 and the drains in the shower were just so vile made it worse had to take her straight out with out even a wash went to ask the man on reception if anyone could help (last night 31st august) his reply "no nothing i can do" gave my partner a pool cue!! To try and unblock it ourselves and said maybe someone from above has blocked it ? We were on the ground floor.. i went back out to him and said is there anything that can be done the smell is unbearable and it really was asked him to come smell himself so he could note it again his reply i cant do anything! My advice would be if your having a staff member on at night maybe someone with a bit of handy man knowledge may help or at least someone who pretends to care!

The staff was kind and helpful really nice people Breakfast was lovely it was nice and clean to eat downstairs.

Swimming pool wasn't clean the games room wasn't clean bedroom was a bit dirty toilet needs updating. One chair in there was dirty.

Rooms and pool very well photographed and a bit misleading, having to pay to go in pool, 5 pound each and for 1 hour, not advertised on advert, so was an expense that I did not cater for

The location right beside the water and tram stop was pleasing.

As soon as you enter the hotel lobby you realise the pictures used to advertise are either not in any way recent or very carefully edited. The whole hotel is run down and not very clean. You need to walk past people smoking right at the front door, no other option. The carpeting throughout is worn and dirty. Stairs are a mess. The room was tiny and nothing like the pictures. Only one double socket in the room and its under the tv. No bedside cabinets or power points anywhere else. Again carpets are filthy, had bits of toys lying about and loads of bits of dirt. Drawers couldn't be opened due to being jammed. Tv had no remote. Decor was worn badly. Beds are old with no headboard and wheels broken. Sink was cracked. Bathroom suite is so old and worn. No extractor fan.

Holly Jesus, what a shocker! If you don't have OCD, you will develop it after visiting the place. It's not a hotel, is it? It's a derelict building site with disgustingly dirty carpets, tables, rooms, toilets, canteen, pool, etc, etc - just a sticky mess!. It must be seen to be believed. Avoid at any cost...what a dirty disaster, yikes 😬 😳

I didn’t like the tv wasn’t working, there is no fan in the room and phone in the room and I keep going downstairs for asking things.

1 night staff needs training in customer relations a smile wouldn't of gone a miss could barley get 1 word out of him allso found him asleep at front counter on a few occasions which isn't helpful when hes locked the door so you cant get in the building.

We loved how comfortable the beds were and the pool looked lovely. We loved that it was right by the beach.

I didn't like the broken door in the bathroom and the fact they charged extra for the swimming pool.

there were black smudge marks on the wall in our shower room, one plug socket didn't work and the decor was dated and hotel needs some TLC.

I only liked the location. The hotel is very dirty and at night you will be hearing running foot steps at 2am. The tub was very dirty,there was so much dust in the room on furniture, We felt the presents of someone inside the room whilst we were sleeping. The hotel is very creepy and the rooms are very hot with no ferns.l will not recommend anyone to stay there and go though what l went though my sister screemed in the middle of the night around 1 am saying there was someone in the room and we couldn't sleep well the whole night hearing different sounds from the top floor.

I didn't like anything about the hotel everything was a mess they need to close down and renovate the place properly not to just take peoples money's l am very disappointed and l need my refund l want mh money back at list half of it.

The lift was awful and most of the time the gate of the lift wasn't shut so couldn't be used which was not good as I have mobility issues.The room was clean but very hot with only a tiny window to let any air in.

The rooms was dirty and digisusting, the pool was cloudy and looked dirty a inch worth of dust on top the wardrobe. Lots of dust in the walls and behind the bed. There was loads of rubbish under the bed . My partner went for shower and the soap dispenser came off the wall in her hand. The window sill and the frames of the windows will filthy it was like they never clean the rooms

Staff could not do enough for you, all lovely. Breakfast was really good and the pool was so warm. Highly recommend staying here. We will be booking again soon. The bed was so comfy too

Wasn't rooms as advertised on booking.com, the room was tiny to suit 3 people. Beds were awful, mattresses were from when the hotel was built in victoriana times. Found pubes on the bed, which made me believe the beds weren't freshly changed. I paid 130 quid for a 40 quid squat. The breakfast was poor. Only positive was it was next door to the imperial hotel were I was visiting for a convention.

Room was clean pool not clean pool needed cleaning and staff need to oderving people when in the pool as people videoing when other people with vulnerable children in the pool and people as and was not asked permission and talking in different languages and was looking at me and my child so was not happy with the out come the managers decision and still charged for been in the pool for 10 mins at the most as felt really uncomfortable and didn't offer a refund so was very unhappy and the lift was not adequate for my disabled child in his buggy to get in lift so was unhappy about this also

Shower door hanging on hinges, water sprayed all over creating a dangerous slipping hazard. Also, brown stain and black mould in basin. Water was either freezing or boiling (burny) hot due to temperamental shower setting, and fittings loosely connected to the wall, wobbles. Sink had a large crack in basin. No body wash provided, miss sold. Bathroom floor grubby, a manicure nail 💅seen as soon as I walked in, trails ofmould. Tv not a smart tv, miss sold. Smell of strong sweaty must and dried up urination as soon as you walk in, it stays with you and no getting away from it. Not sure if someone has urinated or is due to the shabby carpet. Litterly felt disgusting walking with no shoes and breathing in the smell. Carpet looked dirtier than outside. Didn't unpack, left shoes on. Not the kind of stay I'd hoped. Ceiling tiles some stained, some raised, some damaged. Bubbling wallpaper (not sure what's hiding underneath), holes in wall, exposed radiator pipes, dusty cobwebs in multiple areas. No WiFi access, attempted on multiple devices, again miss sold. View of a wall, not even sky. No sea front view, instead straight facing other guests rooms and sound of a busy road, again misssold. Bed sheets white with many black hairs all over them. Bar at hotel when purchasing crisps at the till with a ten pound note, had to keep adding bags of crisps to order due to being told they have no change for a tenner, told by staff because "this is a hotel." Miss sold, quite a few things were not provided and missing from the listing at the point of purchase. I felt dirty just standing in the room, wasn’t the relaxing stay I hoped for.
