City Hotel Shanghai

Het personeel is super vriendelijk en aangenaam, de inkomhal van het hotel doet je denken dat je in een luxe hotel terechtgekomen bent. De ligging is ideaal, zeker als je wilt shoppen.

Veel personeelsleden spreken geen engels, alles is daar met translate op de telefoon te doen. Wifi is er barslecht en ook mijn chinese sim kaart was er een ramp ( dit heeft wel niks met het hotel te maken ). De kamer is er redelijk krap en verouderd. We hadden op de dag van vertrek gevraagd om gewekt te worden, zodat we een back up hadden mochten we ons alarm niet horen, maar niemand die ons gewekt heeft.

The location was very convenient and the room was a good size for Shanghai. It was comfortable, had a window, and the bathroom was also clean and spacious enough.

We were a little surprised that the staff spoke very little English. Of course, we understand that we were in China and do not expect everyone to speak English, but for a hotel in such an international city as Shanghai, we expected at least a basic level of English at reception.

Las camas muy comodas..siempre todo limpio , el personal muy amable y atento . Buena ubicación y zona super chula,llena de bares ,locales y buen ambiente . Bien comunicado con el centro.

The first advantage is the area where the hotel is located. It is an upscale and elegant area, and personally, I prefer it over the more crowded areas. Secondly, the appearance of the hotel entrance gives you the feeling that you are arriving at a truly luxurious and upscale hotel.

One of the disadvantages is that the metro station is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Personally, I would have preferred a hotel located closer to a metro station. The rooms also need renovation. I believe that only the rooms on the upper floors have been renovated. I stayed in room 1005, and whenever the air conditioning was turned on, it produced a very unpleasant smell, which forced me to turn it off. The breakfast was not good and needs much more variety. The buffet was very limited and honestly did not justify the price paid. The seating areas in the reception lobby are also very limited, and more sofas and comfortable seating should be added. Finally, the elevator access system was not convenient. My children were staying on the upper floors, but I was unable to go up to visit them, and they were also unable to come down to my floor easily.

Hotel cómodo, ubicado a unos 15 minutos a pie de varias líneas de metro y desde ahi a pocas paradas de las principales atracciones turísticas. Desayuno muy amplio con múltiples opciones tanto de estilo chino como occidental.

Nada a destacar. Los trabajadores no hablaban mucho inglés, pero no supuso ningún problema.

La ubicación

El personal no era muy amable, parecía que les molestabas cuando tenías que preguntar algo. La habitación olía muchísimo a humedad. La moqueta estaba sucia y en la ducha había humedades. No lo recomiendo.

Emplacement idéal au cœur d’un quartier plein de charme. L’hôtel n’est pas récent, mais il propose une multitude de services et d’équipements : plusieurs restaurants, bars, piscine couverte, salle de sport, massages, etc. Un convenience store se trouve juste en face et des vélos en libre-service sont disponibles au pied de l’hôtel. Les chambres sont confortables et la vue est magnifique. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. J’y ai séjourné à deux reprises lors de mon voyage en Chine et je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

Es un hotel antiguo que hace años que no renuevan, las fotos no se parecen para nada a la realidad. Las habitaciones olían muy mal, el baño no iba..tuvimos que cambiar de habitación porque nos dieron una inferior ala que habíamos pagado. Aún así después del cambio la cosa no mejoró.

La piscina era inutilizzabile perché viene usata per fare dei corsi di nuoto ai bambini quindi è piena di istruttori e bambini che occupano tutto lo spazio, in più non ci sono né sedie né lettini per poterti rilassare o per poggiare l’asciugamano, l’ho dovuta poggiare a terra.. insomma l’avevamo scelto per la piscina ma non siamo stati più di 10 minuti!!

Hoooooooooo where do I start First of all there's a window in the shower where you can see the other person showering, now if you are like me going with a female friend (not a girlfriend) you see how it can be problematic!! Secondly, the water bottle in your room that the house keeping give you COST MONEY and they dont tell you about it, they have a tiny tiny note on the bottle that is not noticeable that tells you it costs money, how much? 30 YUAN FOR A FRICKING BOTTLE, i can buy for 2 yuan in the convenient store nearby. Thirdly, the stuff are incapable to order a taxi, we asked them for a taxi, and they didn't know how to order a taxi, HOW YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO ORDER A TAXI IN YOUR OWN FRICKING COUNTRY!?!?!? (We tried order ourselves but we had problem with amap and alipay thats why we asked them for help) Tips for improvements: remove the stupid window, be a normal hotel and dont charge 30 yuan for 1 bottle, and teach your stuff to be more capable of doing simple things!

Ubicación: muy bien comunicado con diferentes lineas de metro. Hotel muy céntrico y situado en una zona donde hay comercios, centros comerciales, para tomar copas, ... Muy buena ubicación. Desayuno: mucha cantidad y variedad y muy bueno. Habitación: habitación grande. La cama extremadamente muy cómoda. Servicio: cada día te dejan en la habitación botella pequeña de agua y zapatillas nuevas por persona. Muy bien. Gimnasio: tiene un gimnasio increíble. Muy bien equipado con muchas máquinas nuevas. Piscina: hay una piscina suficientemente grande para poder realizar algunas brazas. Muy correcta.

Ubicación: paradas de metro todas ellas a unos 15 minutos andando. Desayuno: hay un cocinero que hace tortillas y sopa al momento lo que provoca que la ropa quede impregnada del olor de la comida ya que no tiene salida de humos. Habitación: habitación un poco "antigua". Wifi: wifi gratuito del hotel pero falla a menudo. Lavandería: no tienen máquinas para lavar ropa, el servicio de lavandería lo realiza una empresa externa. Tienes que pagar servicio de lavandería por pieza que quieres lavar, lo que sale un precio carísimo. Evidentemente no lo utilizamos. Moqueta: pasillos y habitación con moqueta vieja. Lavabo: mampara de la ducha de cortina que daba mucha sensación de humedad.

Abbiamo soggiornato ad Agosto qui principalmente per la piscina, per farci un bagno ogni tanto tra le varie cose da vedere, ma è stato impossibile farlo perché la piscina viene utilizzata per fare dei corsi di nuoto quindi era piena di bambini e istruttori che non ti lasciavano spazio per stare due minuti rilassata in acqua , e poi non ci sono né sedie né lettini dove poter poggiare le cose ma bisogna poggiarle a terra!

The common areas are run down, they would need a refreshment/repairs. By the pool, there is no area to lay down and relax, and swim caps were mandatory at the pool but paying a fee... There were also extremely heavy rains and there was no possibility to get an umbrella not even from the conciergerie. These small things make a difference...

Unique hotel in all China we had to pay for water. Everywhere we got it for free unless here. Some humidity on full bathroom, we had the feeling of lack of cleanness + old facilities. Pool ==> when you have to pay like 10USD almost for 1 pool bonnet, it's not mentioned.

Ubicación perfecta. Zona tranquila y cómoda. El agua de cortesía y los paraguas para lluvia.

La piscina es un bajón, no tiene nada que ver con la foto. Ell momento desayuno un desastre porque no conseguimos mesa para los 4... Gestionan muy mal los espacios. El personal a penas habla inglés. La habitacion del hotel olía a humedad y tabaco. Bastante desagradable, pero era un problema de no poder abrir bien la ventana.

Heel prettig hotel op een fantastische plek. We twijfelden vanwege de recensies maar het was perfect voor onze reis. De kamers zijn wat ouder maar in prima staat, rustig en met een fantastisch uitzicht. Het ontbijt is prima wet zowel westerse al authentieke keuken. In lobby is er een doorgang naar een café waar je fijn een drankje kan doen. De 7/11 ligt tegenover het hotel en het is per metro maar ook met de didi goed te bereiken.

Het zwembad valt wat tegen. Het is een binnenbad waar je vooral baantjes kunt trekken. Ook is het overdekt en je kunt er niet lekker ontspannen aan de badrand liggen.

Staff was helpful when approached. Good enough English for communication. Good area, many cafes, bars and shops around. About 15-20 minutes walking from metro stations. Eady access for taxis.

Hotel feels aged and old fashioned. Internet connection was basically non-existent (both WiFi and mobile network). Connection was ok in the lobby, but there are only two couches there, so impossible to make a call or relax there. No laundry room available and laundry prices per item were high. Bed way too hard. Not much information provided on arrival.

Overall, it was a good stay.

The room was too close to the elevators. Because I am a light sleeper I could hear the elevator and the people getting on and off as well as the dinging of the elevator bell as it landed at the level we were on. Also, when we went out to purchase fresh fruit and snacks, they were quite far away.

The location was excellent. Lots of local bars and restaurants within walking distance, as well as high end shipping malls with premium brands The hotel is also a 10-15min walk to the metro station which is very well served by the lines needed to see all the local sightseeing!

The hotel is a bit dated, with the interiors looking tired and in need of the a refresh. However, this did not spoil our trip.

Ce que j’ai adoré dans cet hôtel, il y a l’emplacement qui est vraiment au centre de la ville du quartier français, la propreté des chambres qui sont faites chaque jour, mais vraiment ce que j’ai le plus aimé, c’est le personnel qui est toujours présent pour nous et plus particulièrement GIGI qui m’a énormément aidé, que serait-ce pour m’orienter dans la ville me conseiller sur les visites à faire, mais aussi pour la configuration de mes applications de paiement elle m’a été d’une aide précieuse. D’ailleurs si vous êtes français, je vous conseille d’aller la voir car elle a réussi à communiquer avec moi et prendre le temps pour nous aider.C’est tellement important d’avoir quelqu’un de bienveillant lorsque nous sommes dans un pays étranger, Alors un grand merci à elle.

Hotel qui vieilli mal. Tout est un peu, cracra, un peu moisi, taché où un peu sale. Beaucoup d'humidité, votre serviette ne sèche jamais et de plus la VMC ne fonctionnant pas ça se rajoute au phénomène. J'ai lu que les lits étaient un peu ferme... Non, en fait un peu ferme c'est un choix. Là, plus ferme c'est la prison du moyen, âge. Les lits sont durs comme une plaque de béton. Horrible. Il faut aussi savoir que la piscine et la salle de sport appartiennent à un club. En, conséquence la salle est géniale pour un hôtel mais la piscine n'est absolument pas une piscine d'hôtel. Pas de chaise longue où de siiege et même pas la place pour une serviette. Donc après votre plongeon dans la piscine les profs et les gamins du coin qui prennent des cours en faisant des longueurs vous font comprendre que vous les saoulez a vouloir juste faire trempette. Et donc petit bain gênant et retour dans votre chambre humide. A part ça la relation publique gigi est très sympa, le reste du personnel qui ne parle pas anglais ne se sent pas vraiment concerné. Très moyen.

Les lits catastrophiques, la piscine, l'humidité, zéro placard ou rangement. Le petit déjeuner pas au niveau d'hôtels similaires. Les photos sur booking ne correspondent pas du tout.

Smoke smell in the floors

Excellent stay! The hotel has a perfect location in the heart of Shanghai, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offered a great variety of food. I would also highly recommend the restaurant on the 4th floor. The food was delicious, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I had a steak, soup, and ice cream for dessert for around €12, which was excellent value for money. Everything was well organized, and I felt welcome throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

The only thing I would suggest is renovating the rooms on the lower floors as well. The hotel is excellent overall, but updating those rooms would make the experience even better.

Bra hotell. Ganska centralt, städningen är inte topp, personalen är okay men det var svårt att kommunicera med de och få hjälp då ingen kunde engelska. De debiterade oss för en flaska vatten som de har lagt i rummet och man behövde att signera för att få låna en paraply och man fick låna bara en paraply per rum och de inte accepterade att låna paraply för oss både. Mattan var ganska dammig. Gymmet var bra. Man var tvungen att köpa huvud cap för att komma i simbassängen.

Städning av mattan är dålig. Personal kan inte engelska och det var svårt att kommunicera och få hjälp.

Dalle finestre dei piani alti si gode un bel panorama, le camere sono grandi. Ma attenzione all'acqua che trovate in camera, le bottiglie sembrano tutte in omaggio, invece alcune si pagano. C'è anche un robot che consegna in camera le vostre richieste. Poco personale della reception parla inglese, ma c'è sempre qualcuno che lo capisce. Hanno un deposito per i bagagli. Nel complesso un buon albergo.

La moquette nelle camere, presentava evidenti macchie. In alcune camere la vasca da bagno invece della doccia.

Die Leute an der Rezeption sprachen wenig oder schlecht Englisch. Obwohl ich das Frühstück bezahlt hatte, wurde trotz zweifacher Nachfrage und ohne Erklärung dies verneint. Nach vier Tagen hatte man ( nachdem ich Booking.com zweimal angeschrieben hatte ) mir einen Teller mit zwei Bananen, einem Apfel und einer Orange auf das Zimmer gestellt, und sich entschuldigt. Ich warte bis dato auf die volle Rückzahlung der Frühstückskosten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Serviceteam von booking.com ist noch nicht abgeschlossen.

Personale alla reception parla inglese. Il palazzo è un grattacielo e il panorama è bello! Le camere hanno la moquette e non sono molto grandi. Il bagno ha la porta di vetro.. Ci sono comunque diverse tipologie di camera.....
