clean good breakfast
location
Raum hatte genug Platz für zwei Personen

By far one of the worst Hampton Inns I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve even stayed here the year before and it wasn’t this bad. It was beyond dirty. Everything was not clean from the hallways to the rooms, the elevators and the kitchen area. There was a leak above the breakfast water station for two days. The elevator floors were dirty as were the walls. The pool was even closed for inspection. The worst part was that the first day I asked three separate people to clean my room and they only added in towels and didn’t clean anything. The next day they cleaned it but LEFT MY DOOR OPEN!! Thankfully nothing was missing that I know of but how awful. And the front desk did nothing and dismissed me. I am a travel agent and rarely write reviews, let alone bad ones. I had three other bookings for myself that I cancelled. There are so many hotels on this street which are better. Save yourself the trouble and book someplace else.

Paying to park
The muffins
The bathroom was dirty, the breakfast was cold some mornings, the elevator was extremely hot and the floors were busted in it, the pool was drained and busted, the room had a mildew smell to it, the toilet paper was almost empty, the sink had hair in it when we checked in, the bath tub leaked and the fridge froze up.
The staff were alright.. not very friendly..with the exception of the Jamaican front desk attendant.. ahe was nice and helpful.. facilities are worn down, water leaks everywhere including in the dining area near the food and beverages during breakfast.. you have to pay for parking as a guest there.. very disappointing for the amount we paid to stay. We've stayed at a lot nicer facilities for less. The Hilton hotel (Green Hills)down the road is actual the same amount and is gorgeous
The unpleasant staff we encountered on arrival
Staff were very friendly.
1. Room was outdated and mouldy musty smell. 2. Shower had mould/ceiling stains was very unpleasant. 3. Shower/tub bottom not clean and unruly. 4. When we arrived we were not informed that the pool was broken for several days, when I asked for assistance regarding this matter I was not able to be accommodated. We could not use the pool the entire weekend, the entire purpose of the trip was to relax and use facilities. 5. The breakfast was okay. THE CEILING was leaking in the breakfast area and was near impossible to get any drinks/food. Quite hazardous. 6. The breakfast also outdated and not up to standard for the price - paper plates & plastic spoons. I would not recommend staying here if you are looking to use facilities and enjoy your stay. We paid nearly $500 dollars for three nights, in comparison to places in the same area you can stay in much nicer places & much better facilities. Nashville is expensive enough don’t waste you hard earned money on somewhere that is old, musty & quite frankly run to the ground.
Close to every thing! We were with in 5 miles to lots of things to do. The room was updated and clean!! Pool was warm, clean and the kids were having a blast on the slide!! Nice hot tub area, but can still see kids in the pool! Steps going in and out of the pool are great for older people and young kids! I don’t have anything bad to say about things Hotel!!
Location, friendly, and helpful
I don’t have any complaints on them
Breakfast was decent.
Pool had no water, claimed it has a leak that started yesterday, not buying it, it was bone dry! Entire hotel was musty smelling. Our shower was gross on the bottom and the shower head in room 315 had pink mold.
Location, breakfast, shampoo/conditioner/body wash were great we thought. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious and fit our needs. I’d recommend overall.
Rooms are dated and seemed a little dingy.
The closeness to the event I was attending
One of the ladies at the front desk was rude, the non-smoke room I received smelled like smoke, and housekeeping came knocking at the door woking us at 7:30AM when checkout wasn’t until 11AM or noon can’t remember which one
I’m being generous with three stars. The room smelled musty and damp with artificial fragrance over it. Immediately starting giving me a headache. My kids said the floor felt wet. Asked for a different room and the guy at the front didn’t even blink, just gave us a new room. That was a good part. The new room was less damp but still strongly scented. The elevators have broken dirty tile on the floor and one smelled of weed. The ceilings and walls have lots of warping, chipping, peeling. The bathroom vent didn’t work (probably why everything is damp). The shower faucet handle came off when I tried to take a shower. Beds were average. Had serious doubts about the breakfast but went to check. The warm cream cheese that clearly said keep refrigerated killed my appetite. Parking with fees and taxes was $42 for ONE night. Location was good and it gave us a place to sleep. If you have high standards though I would not recommend.
Worst experience ever ! As soon as I entered the hotel, the employee named Sherley (or Sherleen) was sitting at the table in front of the front desk, looking at her phone. When she noticed me, she seemed annoyed that she had to get up and assist me. I booked my room through HotelsTonight.com. She told me that if I was going to arrive after midnight, I had to notify the hotel. That is simply not true. I’ve booked through HotelsTonight many times before, arrived after midnight, and never had any issues. That’s one of the main reasons people use the service. She was extremely rude . The employee was unprofessional, unfriendly, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. It was a very disappointing check-in experience.
the only good this about this hotel is the location and some nice staff. beyond that the hotel is dingy and worn down, we were not given regular amenities such as enough towels and soap. our ORIGINAL room was not ready upon our check in time and i saw that other people were also waiting for un-ready rooms at check in time. the entire place had a smell of sewage and just very outdated. you have to pay for parking in addition to your payment and we were given a ticket on our car because we did not pay right away which was NOT told to us. the outlet was basically falling apart and all the lights and outlets won’t work at the same time, with 4 people it’s very hard to get anything done in this room. the shower was also stained and disgusting… worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about our experience at the Hampton Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt. Our soccer team had 17 families staying at this property for a tournament, and the overwhelming majority of us were extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, our team was required to stay at this hotel unless families paid a penalty, so we did not have the option to choose another property. We arrived expecting the cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards associated with the Hilton brand, but this hotel fell far below those expectations. From the moment we entered our room, there was a strong musty, mold-like odor. We also observed what appeared to be visible mold in the air conditioning unit. The condition of the room was so concerning and unpleasant that I became physically ill. As a double lung transplant recipient, being exposed to an environment with possible mold or poor air quality was especially alarming, and we ultimately made the decision to leave rather than continue our stay. Unfortunately, our experience was not an isolated issue. Many families in our group reported similar concerns with cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the property. Some of the issues experienced during our stay included: • A broken elevator. We were also informed that guests who were not part of our group had reportedly been stuck in the elevator for approximately three hours on the day we arrived. • The pool being closed on the first day of our stay. • Three out of the five floors having broken ice machines. • Multiple electrical outlets in rooms not working. • Bathrooms lacking proper ventilation and un cleaned • Stained bedding concerns. • Strong musty/mold-like odors throughout the property and visible concerns with the air conditioning units. For a hotel carrying the Hampton Inn and Hilton name, this level of maintenance and cleanliness is completely unacceptable. Guests should be able to expect a safe, clean, and comfortable place to stay—especially families traveling for a major youth sporting event. After our experience, parents from our team contacted the hotel directly, and several families also reached out to Hilton. Unfortunately, we have not received a satisfactory resolution or compensation for what we experienced. We were told we would be contacted within 2–3 business days, but we have yet to receive any follow-up. This was not one unhappy guest or one bad room. This was an entire group of families who shared similar concerns and frustrations. We hope hotel management and Hilton take these complaints seriously and address the condition of this property. I would not recommend this hotel to others, especially families traveling with children or anyone with respiratory or health concerns. If you have another option, I strongly encourage you to choose a different property.
This was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The elevators did not work (which meant walking 4 flights of stairs every time we left or came back to our room since our room was on the fourth floor), the pool could not be used for 2 days of our stay (in the middle of summer), ice machine was broken, the dryer was out of order, and there was mold in our AC unit. There was a huge price difference because we were there for a tournament which made it even worse for the amount of money we paid to stay there. Trying to communicate with management about our complaint was impossible. There was no management to speak to and we tried calling multiple numbers to communicate about our stay and no one would help. Extremely disappointed and will never stay here again.
Everything was very good. Better than what I expected.
The only bad thing was an elevator was down, so the wait times was a little long. Other than that everything was great!!
Worst Hampton Inn Experience We’ve Ever Had I honestly can’t believe this was a Hampton Inn. This was, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences our group has ever had. Our soccer team was required to stay at this property unless families paid a penalty, so we did not have the option to choose another hotel. We arrived expecting the standard level of cleanliness and maintenance associated with the Hilton brand, but this property fell far below those expectations. The hotel was extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and had a strong musty, mold-like odor throughout the room from the moment we walked in. There was also visible mold in the air conditioning unit, which was especially concerning. Here are some of the issues we experienced during our stay: The elevator was broken, and we were informed that guests who were not part of our group had reportedly been trapped in it for approximately three hours on the day we arrived. The pool was closed on the first day of our stay. Three of the five floors had broken ice machines. Several electrical outlets in the room did not work. The bathroom had no ventilation. The bed sheets appeared to have urine stains. The room had a persistent moldy smell, and there was visible mold in the A/C unit. The condition of the room was so unpleasant that one member of our group became physically ill after checking in. For anyone with health concerns, especially respiratory concerns, this environment was extremely alarming. To make matters worse, our group included 17 families, and the overwhelming majority were extremely unhappy with the hotel. This was not an isolated complaint from one room; many families shared similar frustrations regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the property. For the price we paid, this was completely unacceptable. Basic cleanliness, functioning amenities, and proper maintenance should be expected at any hotel, especially a Hampton Inn carrying the Hilton name. I would not stay here again under any circumstances, and I would strongly recommend that others look elsewhere if they have any choice.
I am absolutely shocked that this is a Hilton-branded property. Without question, this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of this hotel was completely unacceptable and far below the standards I have come to expect from the Hilton brand. Our soccer team, consisting of 13-year-old girls and their families, was required to stay here as part of a stay-and-play tournament. We had no practical alternative, as staying elsewhere would have resulted in a $2,500 penalty under the tournament's lodging policy. Because of this, dozens of families were forced to stay at this property despite its condition. The hotel is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and filled with a strong odor of cigarette smoke and mold throughout the building and inside the guest rooms. During our three-day stay, we experienced an alarming number of issues, including: The only elevator repeatedly broke down, trapping several guests inside. Some people were reportedly stuck for over an hour. The pool was closed the entire first day and for most of the second day. Ice machines were out of service on three of the hotel's five floors, including ours. Approximately half of the electrical outlets in our room did not work. The bathroom had no working ventilation to remove moisture. Our bed sheets and comforter had stains that appeared to be urine. Another family traveling with us found what appeared to be blood stains on their bed linens. The smell of mold in our room was nearly unbearable. We had already been moved from our original room because its condition was even worse. The mold was more than just unpleasant—it created a health concern for my family. My daughter has asthma and a reactive airway condition, and the mold exposure caused multiple flare-ups during our stay. She struggled to breathe and had to use her rescue inhaler far more frequently than normal. No family should have to worry that their hotel room will negatively affect their child's health. The problems extended beyond our own experience. While checking in, we witnessed guests demanding full refunds after seeing the condition of the property. They told us they were upset about paying approximately $125 per night. Our group, however, was required through the stay-and-play program to pay what we were told was a "discounted" tournament rate of $240 per night, with a mandatory three-night minimum. After taxes, our total came to $855, plus an additional $100 for parking. Charging nearly $1,000 for three nights at a property in this condition is simply unacceptable. Basic cleanliness, functional facilities, and routine maintenance are reasonable expectations at any hotel, especially one operating under the Hilton brand. I also spoke with several members of the housekeeping staff, who expressed frustration with the condition of the hotel. They told me they were embarrassed by the property's state and said they would not stay there themselves because so much of the building is outdated and in disrepair. This hotel does not reflect the quality, cleanliness, or reputation that guests associate with Hampton Inn or Hilton. I strongly encourage Hilton to thoroughly inspect this property and invest in the significant repairs and renovations that are clearly needed. Until that happens, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this hotel look elsewhere. There are undoubtedly better options than this property.
The staff the location and the cleaning of the place the breakfast.
The only thing that could use attention is the mattress it was worn out.
The staff was very nice and helpful
The mattress and pillows not comfortable
The hotel needs some basic maintenance and an update. Not a typical Hampton in terms of what you expect with the chain. Friendly staff and super location to Vanderbilt and Broadway. My major issue was a back door leading to the pool area. It seemed to not shut properly and was open every time I walked by it. Not the safest situation since it also opened to the parking lot. Not my favorite Hampton Inn.
Staff was nice and the bed was comfortable.
We were put in a room that the AC barely worked. They moved us to another room and the AC worked good. But, if we didn’t keep the room freezing it smelled like sewage horribly. With the room cold we could still smell sewage but not as intense. There was no microwave in the room. The walls had holes patched that needed painted. We expected it to be a lot nicer being a Hilton and the cost being $320 for 2 nights and $79 to park for 2 nights. We won’t be back. We will stick to the cheap hotels we usually stay at that are the same quality or better but don’t smell like sewage and have a microwave in the room.
breakfast
First room, bath tub dirty , smelled moldy, A/C very noisy, Second room satisfactory but window shade broken, could not raise or use.
The staff were courteous, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Great restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.
When I arrived, it seemed like the room was just cleaned but not everything was put back in place (cushions on the sofa, closet doors open).
The hotel was clean, and the location was about a 6-minute Uber ride from Broadway. I found the $35 daily parking fee expensive—parking on Broadway averages around $25, and the Uber ride costs about $6 to $7.

it was a little rundown
Black mold, bugs, and everything is breaking. DO NOT GET IN THE POOL. Harold at the front desk was amazing; Gabe in maintenance was even very helpful, however, the working conditions these men have to work with and the very very poor management above them should be an absolute embarrassment for Hilton. These employees deserve better and i shouldn't have to pay so much for a terrible space.
Staff were friendly and unable to fault on one of the busiest weekends in Nashville (Alan Jackson Concert). The room, aircon was not the best and would not get any cooler than what it was set too, which wasn’t always the best, which then didn’t help with airflow in the room. Yes could do with updating, but it was clean and comfy. Breakfast had a large selection to choose from with no complaints there, Yes. You do pay a price for parking, but everywhere in Nashville you have to pay to park and it’s cheap compared to some hotel car parks around, so it’s something you “suck up”!
This is a pretty typical Hampton Inn near Vanderbilt and Music Row. Downtown Nashville is a little over a mile away, so it's a bit of a hike if you want to get there by foot. The area has a number of restaurants and it's very safe day and night. My room was clean, spacious, and modern. The included breakfast was good, and service was fine. Overall, a nice place to stay in Midtown Nashville.
I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Nashville, probably four times through the years. This experience was probably my worst and I will more than likely not be back. The hotel itself is very rundown when you walk through the halls you can see that it has not been maintained well. Our initial room that we were assigned was very musty smelling, and we walked in the bathroom and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling all over not just in one little spot and we had a hard time getting our door open and closed at one point I got stuck in the room. They gave us no issue when we wanted to change rooms and we walked into our current room and it was smelling like pot which has subsided since then. we had an all day out adventure today came back to our room and our room was never serviced. Maybe they don’t service rooms anymore. I don’t know. I will find out more when I check out. The employees were very friendly. I have no issues with that. They were very accommodating when we asked for an extra pillow, but as for the hotel, very disappointing very rundown looking.
Everything was spoiled by the hotel not bothering to reply to an email regarding items left in room wardrobe. Very disappointed 😞
Bed was comfortable, room was clean and the shower was great!
I had to pay $42 for parking for ONE NIGHT even though I was a guest at the hotel.
Location
The plumbing
Excessive pay for parking.
The hotel needs updating. The paint is peeling off the ceiling and it feels old.
Paying almost 50 bucks to park after paying over 200 for one night was too much. Embassy Suites has free parking and open bar for an hour each evening. Then, not having a microwave was inconvenient.
Walkable to attractions and close to the Hop On/Hop Off trolly stop (#3). Good Italian restaurant across the street. Nice common area, which is where we spent most of our time instead of inside the rooms.
Room was dated, carpet didn't seem clean, dirty windows, broken window shade, stains in the bathroom. Not what I expect from a Hilton/Hampton property. Price was also exceptionally high, but that was probably due to CMA festival in town while we were there.
You have to pay six hours at a time $24 to Park
great location!
the parking spots were tight if you have a bigger vehicle and not a regular sedan.
Staff were lovely
Hotel is in need of a refurb , it was a comfortable room though
This is the worst Hampton Inn I've stayed in. Very dated, broken tiles and fixtures everywhere, in disrepair and overall just a gross and dark feel. To add to it all, my pillow has an old blood stain on it. I am surprised this is allowed to be a Hampton given its current state. Would highly not recommend.
Stayed for 3 nights with my wife. Booked here because they had a pool from May. However, when we arrived, the pool was not ready as they were still waiting on the inspector to open it for the season. The weather was nice and we wanted to use the sun loungers but because the pool was closed we were not allowed in the pool area. The hotel was a bit further away from Broadway than expected taken 20 to 25mins to walk. Overall we had a nice stay and the breakfast was decent. Staff were very friendly.
Great location, close to downtown, restaurants across the street & within walking distance, breakfast buffet was great!
Parking was $35.00/daily.
Staff was amazingly helpful with directions and ideas for places to dine.
Cost was a bit high and location to downtown not as close as we thought.
1st Hampton Inn I've stayed where you had to pay to park!
Gym and breakfast
My toilet was dripping and running - claimed they fixed but continued thru my entire stay. Elevators and halls need updated - dingy . Didn’t even offer any monitary compensation
Arrived @ 2pm Checking was a little slow but the staff was nice. Then I realized that we had to PAY for parking!!! I have stayed at Hampton all over the country and NEVER been charged for parking! Then we walk to our room, room #141. We walk all the way around the corner to the end and realize our room is not there. We have somebody in our room is on the ground floor. So now we have to go down a level. When we finally entered our room it had a very unpleasant smell. signage posted in this hotel is ridiculous. points to ice and vending. It neglected to tell you that it’s only on the second and fifth floor. well, we finally got to the ice and vending room… Scratch that… The ICE room. There are no vending machines here whatsoever! The drawer in the nightstand next to the bed won’t stay closed on its own. The shower head is too low and the shower drain (and sink drain) is very slow. The water at the water filling station tastes horrible and a strong taste of chlorine as well There is no full length mirror in the room Housekeeping only refreshes every other day. I would rate this among worst Hamptons I’ve ever stayed in.
Breakfast was ok
The rooms were outdated, the sink wouldn't drain
The staff were friendly Especially Harold at the front desk
Lack of food choices Only toast for Vegans Bodged repairs in the room patches of filler painted in an off white colour Bathroom sealant applied round the bath, toilet very badly Sealant was the only thing holding the toilet in place
It is very close to Midtown only a 5 Minute walk with some great bars that are more local.
Although it is on broadway it is the other end so it is about a 35 minute walk to the main bars and an 8 minute uber.
Excellent n t
Great location
The location
It was dirty. There was food on the carpet in the hallways that stayed there for our entire visit. There were stains on the lamp and ceiling that looked like blood. We were not told that there would be another charge for parking until it was too late to cancel.
The location
The fact that it said you did NOT have to pre book parking but you in fact do. Then it says parking is $35 a night but with taxes it comes up to about $50. The ac in my room did not work and there was no microwave. Given the amount that I paid I think this is ridiculous and the least they do is provide you with a microwave and working air if you’re paying 200+ a night. The parking is definitely a money grab and in my eyes unnecessary given the rate you’re paying for the room. They were very unorganized at the front desk and took a minute to service me when I arrived after driving for 8 hrs. I booked this room bc it seemed like the cheapest option but next time I will spend a little more for better quality.
Close to restaurants !
Everything was great
Price
A couple unfriendly staff members. You’ll know when you meet them. Older man that man’s the lobby at night was very nice. Also our bed wasn’t the most comfortable.
I was impressed with the staff, they were very nice and friendly.
The bed was uncomfortable.
The price
Needs updating, has an old smell
Good location, staff very nice
The air conditioner/ heat was not working
Close to where we wanted to be.
The parking was too expensive. Needs a lot of maintenance. Tiles cracked, toilet loo low, carpet replaced and wallpaper replaced where it’s pealing off. Also, the door didn’t seal good. Could see the hallway light through it.
The room, the area, clean
My stay was suppose to be 287 and my card was charged 347 Not happy guest service was no help
Property is very run down and overall just dirty. The mattress was worn out years ago and room was just plain gross. Air/ heat didn’t work properly, room smelled sour, multiple features broken in the room. Carpet was filthy. Furniture was either broken, or chipped. Front desk complaining about issues in front of guests. Other hotels were sold out so could not move. We stayed 3 days, paid over $600 and will NEVER stay at a Hampton inn again.
Breakfast was good, clean and adequate.
A little more heads up on the parking cost - close to $40 a night after fees
Stayed here for Valentines Day. The hotel is nice; some converted building with an interesting layout. The room was spacious and clean, everything in working order. Location is excellent. Breakfast was very good. Parking is expensive at $42 per day.
The common areas were decent and the staff were nice.
I don't like writing negative reviews. I almost never comment, but this was pretty bad. The elevator was painfully slow and the floor was badly cracked/ chipping. The room was tattered and felt unclean. Stains on the bathroom walls, yellow stains on the comforter, caulking in the bathroom was peeling or missing. The shower curtain rod was about to fall out of the wall. Perhaps I just had a very bad room, but I overhead another woman complaining to the front desk about the same thing. Overall, not what you would typically expect of a Hampton Inn.
It was close to the Vanderbilt Medical Center where we had to be early in the morning. Restaurant was within walking distance. Very quiet.
$35 parking fee, but that's Nashville
Our room was not clean, had to reorder sheets twice first time they had hair on them when we arrived, the new sheets they brought had yellow stains. Food was left in the refrigerator from previous guest, it was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned well. There is also a used bandaid stuck on the ceiling. Beyond the cleanliness issue the walls are paper thin, there was people talking all night long in the hallway and overall the hotel is simply old and outdated
I would avoid staying at this hotel. First, cleanliness is an issue. According to the front desk and signs in the room, rooms are visited by house cleaning every other day. I stayed for a week, Wednesday to Wednesday. The room was cleaned by hotel staff once. On my last night's stay, I was locked out of my room due to a dead battery on the door's electronic lock. Due to the late hour, the front desk couldn't let me into my room but had to give me another room until maintenance came in for the day. Due to recent ice storms, the hotel was booked for most of my stay because local residents had no power at their homes. If this issue had happened anytime during my stay, I would probably need to sleep in the lobby. Because I stayed in two separate rooms, the toilets in both rooms often ran without flushing. I had to keep the bathroom door closed so not to hear the running toilet. The elevators are also an issue. The tiles in the elevator were mostly broken, and the elevators are very slow. The only good part of this hotel is the breakfast. The breakfast area was very clean but even the tables in the eating area needed to replace. One table looked like it was used in a bar fight. I will not use this hotel which is very sad because the location is perfect. It could be a good hotel but clearly is not properly staffed.
Room was clean
I have been trying multiple times to fet the staff to provide a receipt, I have sent through chat, through Booking.com and even called and get ignored. Also, at 1 in tge morning the night I stayed, someone was blasting music and yelling in the halls. I reported through text to the front desk. Nothing was done for around an hr, I had to be at work by 4 on the morning.
