Great location and super friendly staff. Loved the bar, restaurant and fabulous view. It was my significant birthday and the staff sent delicious cakes and a very thoughtful card 💝🍰

The Parking situation. Room advertised as having parking...... turns out it's not only a first in first served basis, but also incurs an extra fairly substantial fee. The room needs better lighting. Trying to read anything was challenging - even at the desk seemingly put there for doing work. I also felt like I was having to find my clothes and get dressed during a power outage. Street noise even from the 11th floor meant needing to sleep with ear plugs all night.

The room had pretty much everything I needed - iron, bathroom facilities, late check in etc. Location is great in the CBD and close to everything you might need. I was able to store my suitcase during the day (after check out) and pick it up later. Taxis were able to find the hotel easily.

One of the milk containers in the fridge had already been opened. Light switches hard to find and plugs by the bed all in use so had to remove something to charge my phone. TV channel selection was poor - no sports or movies so I ended up watching shows on my phone instead. Wifi was hard to find, no clear directions and had to download the hotel guide to check.

I booked through this site, however, the motel charged me for the price of the room instead of the bond and didn’t believe me when I said I had been double charged. Booking.com was very helpful though and rectified this for me.

The bed was comfortable.

They forgot my paid-for breakfast, had no wifi instructions, no room booklet, and no water besides tap. The desk staff was short-tempered and unwelcoming. No mention of on-site restaurant or if you needed reservations. I showed up tired and hungry and was not able to settle in until hours later because of the lack of information provided.

L’établissement était très bien placé les chambres propres . Il y avait aussi une super vue au restaurant pour petit déjeuner. 

Notre chambre est située au-dessus d’une rue où il y avait sûrement un bar ou une boîte de nuit. Et du coup nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à nous endormir, à cause du bruit et réveillé plusieurs fois dans la nuit par des bruits de gens qui parlent qui hurle etc.  très mauvaise, isolation. 

Clean, great staff to deal with. Every time we ask for something they were very prompt to deliver to our room.

There was nothing in their control not to like. I only scored it a 9 as fire alarm on the 31st of July meant wifi was out all afternoon and night and I had some work deadlines. However even then when evacuating my 3 year old niece was a little scared and upset from the alarms. Before she could have a full melt down we pretended it was a game. We were on the 9th floor. The staff behind us were so calm and helpful some even joined in counting stairs. Your staff across all your services from valet, front desk to restaurant and bar, they were amazing! Thank you for a lovely stay!

WiFi was cooked and despite the staffs best efforts, it couldn’t be resolved. I suspect there wasn’t much they could do about it. Queen rooms open direct to the lift lobby so don’t choose them. Rooms very pokey and bed has the customary divot on the side closest to the door.

The hotel was tastefully decorated, and the room very cosy and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant on the bight we arrived.

Whilst the dimmed lighting was nice, it would be better to have the option to have full lighting at times such as packing. The lamp at my end of the room also stopped working (globe?) so I did most of my packing to leave in very poor light.

Room 1020 was right next to the service elevator so very noisy all night. When I asked to move they said we couldn't and they said it would stop at 9pm which wasn't true. We won't be staying here again.

Excellent location, and beautiful view of the water from our room on the 8th floor. Staff welcomed us weary travelers with kindness and fabulous service. Breakfast buffet in the hotel was fabulous.

Unfortunately our air con wasn't working and the room was soooo hot! We couldn't stay in the room. They did fix it . But took a few hours to get to an ok temperature

Very disappointing experience. After a long drive from Wellington, we arrived to find there were no available car parks, and the hotel doesn’t allow guests to reserve parking in advance. The staff were also abrupt and unwelcoming, making us feel like an inconvenience. When we got to our room, it was clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned. The rubbish bin hadn’t been emptied, used tea had been left behind, and, worst of all, the toilet contained someone else’s unflushed waste. Absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I tried calling reception from our room to report the issue, I couldn’t get through and had to walk back down to reception myself, which was a real inconvenience after such a long journey. Overall, this stay fell well below expectations in terms of cleanliness, customer service, and basic guest experience.

Very very noisy! The fan in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off and the outside traffic all night! Had 2 terrible sleeps there. Also parking was not ok, got back the second night and there was no parks left and had to go find a carpark way down the road in the dark.

Location is great, right by Britomart and lovely places to dine.

This would be the possible third time, parking is expensive!

We had booked harbor side facing, however the room wasnt ready on day 1 and day 2. The staff did their best to offer us free dinner for 1 night and allowing us to use 1 room for couple of hours to freshen up.

Poor WiFi. Noisy - can hear other rooms opening and closing at night. Gym is tiny.

The bar downstairs is really loud on Thursday and Friday evenings. The noise lasts till 3 or 4 a.m., and I can only get to sleep after 3 o’clock in the morning.

Location was perfect for us, short walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, commercial bay, spark arena. Loved having daily bread and a four square stairs. Staff were very kind and welcoming. Yummy breakfast, chocolate hour was delicious. I actually fell asleep, which means the bed was comfortable. Valet parking was quick and easy. We will be staying again for sure.

There was quite a bit of street noise up until 2.30am. I was woken up several time during the night as a result, but I kept falling back asleep quickly, which was thanks to the comfy bed and being quite tired from the day.

I had more expectation interms of a 5-star hotel, based on my experiences in some other countries.
