Room had a weird odor and the the room was very dated. No usb connections and extra outlets.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to Glacier National Park and within walking distance of the charming restaurants and cafés of Whitefish. The lobby is absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, distinctive, and one of the most impressive hotel lobbies we have seen. The hotel sits next to a large golf course, which creates a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. Many of the guests appeared to be older travelers who had clearly come to relax, play golf, and enjoy themselves, giving the property a calm and somewhat classic resort feel. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the service. We had booked and paid a significant amount for a renovated family room, but after discovering that the layout did not work well for our family, the hotel offered us an additional room for the parents at no extra charge. This was an extraordinary gesture, representing a benefit worth close to $2,000, and it completely changed our experience. This is what outstanding hospitality should be about: recognizing a problem and doing everything possible to make the guests happy. The hotel exceeded our expectations in this regard, and the level of service deserves enormous credit.

Although our renovated family room was modern and beautifully designed, we found the layout surprisingly impractical. There was very little privacy for the parents, while the children’s sleeping area had no windows and relatively small beds, although the beds themselves were comfortable. The biggest concern was access to the bathroom. Guests sleeping in the children’s area had to go down stairs to reach the bathroom and shower, which can be inconvenient and potentially unsafe at night, particularly for children or older guests. It almost felt as though the bathroom belonged to a separate part of the room rather than being easily accessible. Considering the type of guests who frequently stay at the hotel, we believe this particular room layout should be reconsidered from both a practical and safety perspective.

Everyone was very nice and pleasant.

Nice refurbished rooms, good location, husband and son liked location close to golf course, pool/ hot tub good. We had a couple of problems the first night but staff did what they could and sorted the problem out for the rest of our stay.

We had a few teething problems when we first arrived and had to stay in one of the non refurbished rooms for one night - wouldn’t choose that room but problem was sorted and we were moved the next day. Refurbished rooms are great.

Price and staff was more interested in sharing info than quickly checking us in at 11:30P. Was unprepared and very talkative when I just wanted to quickly & politely check in & go to bed.

The bathroom was literally moldy around the tub and the ceiling . It was not worth the price at all and very disappointing, not what I’d expect especially at the price.

Excellent location/ setting. We were booked into a queen room but were upgraded to a king size suite that had lounge area downstairs and then king size bed with huge tv upstairs. In joining room 2 single beds. Tv area with kitchen area and lounge chair. Shower was large and everything was spotless. All the staff we met were extremely pleasant and made the stay perfect.

Ratings we found on line do not represent the experience we had. It is dated and the service was bad . First clue, they offer you ear plugs for the train Noise , really necessary for the room air conditioner. Mentioned at checkout that the ac noise was so loud that it was very difficult to sleep. The young lady at the desk responded that , oh ya we get that complaint all the time. A resort fee is added at this resort just for a coffee.

The restaurant waiting staff were a mixed back and not what I would expect at a resort of this caliber. Food was ok.

Somewhat loud near the road, however, they contacted us prior to our stay to offer is a new room.

We were sharing the room with another couple and the room was well layed out to make that enjoyable. It was spacious. There were two sink counters. One inside the bathroom and one outside and both secluded from main sleeping area so noise and light didn't bother others. Beautiful common spaces and pool and Hot Tub are adjacent to golf course.

Property was close to town and easy access to rte 2 into the park. Staff were amazing

I liked the location and the fact that there was a golf course. The little coffee shop was good.

We were on the 1st floor. We could hear everything upstairs, they provided ear plug but for the price this was inconvenient. It also needs some serious upgrading. the bed was uncomfortable. Mostly this was so outragously priced for how outdated it is and how loud it was being on the first floor.

What a joke… paint fumes, an unfinished pool that was promised to be open… don’t specifically advertise amenities that are not available. Booked a Nordic golf view room… didn’t get it… just a view of the guy fixing our window and paint fumes that made my wife sick. Treat your customers with at least a bit of courtesy. What a disappointing stay… hard earned time and money should not be spent here. Don’t get me started on the restaurant… a complete disaster.

Quiet location around two miles from downtown Whitefish. Our room appeared to have been recently updated and it appeared they were finishing the pool and hot tub area. Free shuttle service into town was also appreciated.

Gorgeous, well appointed spacious room. We really enjoyed our stay. A lovely common area with a fireplace. Close to Whitefish downtown with plenty of food options.

The indoor pool was not open when we were there, but no other complaints!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It’s beautiful and has a very nice view of the golf course. The shuttle into town was a great bonus.

Spacious rooms with good air circulation ansd lots of good counter space. Liked the counter nook outside the bathroom and good mirrors. My husband is immune compromised so excellent cleanliness a necessity or we don't stay! Very good beds and linens.

Was there a safe anywhere? Carried our passports with us. Really hoped there would be a Pool and jaccuzzi there but do know you are renovating.

I would’ve given it 4 stars if it wasn’t that expensive. For the price it must be way better. E had a corner suite for 5 nights. The room wasn’t well cleaned. During the 5 nights they never once vacuumed or changed the bed linens, even after we specifically asked at the front desk. Overall the lodge has seen its better days. It certainly can use some refresh, especially carpets. In the room, the bathroom is too small and the shower has this half glass so the water splashes all over. The shower was literally dirty: dirt was coming off when I sprayed its floor with water. No free breakfast. You pay $32 per person. It’s decent but there is way better in town. So no point in paying so much for breakfast here. Service is just average. We didn’t see a single hotel person who was friendly and happy to see us.

The pool and other amenities were not available. There was no hot water or even warm water during our stay so we used wash clothes instead of the shower and got out quickly. The power was out, making the room stuffy and stinky without ventilation and no laundry facilities for cleaning our wet, muddy hiking clothes. We still had to pay the high resort price despite having such a bad experience. I tried to talk to the staff and they didn’t care. I tried to send a message afterward and didn’t get a response.

Front desk staff could use more hospitality training. Very vague instructions on where the room was located, where to park and what the hotel amenities were. There was a private function happening and parking was at a premium. Hotel guests should have designated spots so they don’t have to haul their luggage so far.

The proximity to town was excellent and the beds were comfortable. The woman working at the front desk was extremely nice.

The air conditioning in our room did not work and housekeeping didn’t really refresh our room at all, they kind of just remade the bed except took some pillows away.

The room that we were in had no outlets...that were conveniently located. Not a huge deal, we were all trying to charge our phones to be prepared for Glacier.

We spent Thanksgiving here. The highlight was Thanksgiving dinner and our amazing bartender/server Sarah. She was on top of everything from service to interacting with everyone. She is a great asset to this company. Kudos to her professionalism when under pressure.

The location was nice, just outside of the main part of town on the golf course. Especially traveling with dogs, loved the park across the street.

The place looks like it has seen heavy use over the years and it shows.

We recently stayed at Grouse Mountain Lodge again after discovering it earlier this year. It’s a nice quiet location off the busier roads and on a golf course. The check in both times was smooth because of the excellent women at the front counter and especially Jen! Our King Size bed/room with a giant screen HD television was perfect for watching the World Series. The restaurant and the bar are well stocked and tasty. Fire pits were turned on on the patio on the late season 63 degree day and cool October evenings and the seating was comfortable. Highly recommended even if you’re not a golfer….. like us!

Location was good for our plans to attend a wedding near by. Staff very friendly even if they didn’t seem to know what was going on.

Well…. Room very mediocre… bath/shower needs to be upgraded with handrails etc, paint and carpets dreary!!!!! Restaurant such a disappointment… food over cooked, and what decent place doesn’t have a proper expresso machine????
