First room the door did not open. Asked help and they opened with a strong push. After in with all luggage's etc, the door did not close. Again asked help and received another room.

Very clean and the staff was super attentive

The staff was great.

Jacuzzi was very dated and did not feel clean. The pool and pool area needed a through update.

The Hotel is out dated and one side is facing the highway and the other side is facing the Railroad tracks! It was okay for the money but I will not stay again.

Chambre non isolée d'un côté la route de l'autre la voie de chemin de fer. Chambre humide et donc très bruyante. On m'a proposé des bouchons d'oreille pour le bruit... Finalement loin du centre ville puisque la route devant est impossible à traverser. Parties communes vieillotte et la piscine ne donnait pas envie. J'ai demandé un geste commercial. On m'a juste remboursé la seconde nuit. Il n'est normalement de louer ce type de chambre.

The pool was dirty.

Location was great. Staff was fantastic. The pool area was nice. However the Jacuzzi didn't get very hot it was bath bath for small children. And the jets didn't work. Great lobby and staff was super sweet.

Only problems the bathroom door needs to be fixed. I had to lift it up to close. And no bathroom vent. Also the jacuzzi jets don't work and the water is not very hot. It was bath water warm.

Staff service and restaurant inside hotel amazing

The staff was always eager to provide extra service and responded quickly to resolve any issues. One of the desk managers (Cindy) was especially helpful in handling every minor problem we had quickly, effectively, and with delightful good humor. We'll certainly use this hotel again.

There were some problems with the television broadcast vs VCR movie usage. A small instruction plaque, which explained how to switch between Html-2 and 3 would have been helpful. One system enables the TV stations to work, while the other enables the VCR to play movie disks. Room cleaning and laundry replacement could have been better.

We chose this hotel because of good reviews and it's proximity to the historic downtown area of St Augustine. We walked downtown and back everyday we were there. St Augustine is familiar to us, so we knew our way around. We had a first-floor room, with pool view. Room was spacious and clean. McDonals across the street 😊 Also, a Denny's Restaurant. We enjoyed the area out back of the hotel, overlooking the river. There's train tracks also, and we.enjoyed watching that train go by.

The hotel is by a rail track and the trains passing can get really loud. As a light sleeper I woke up to it a few times.

Location was located near all tourist spots. Staff was excellent - friendly, professional. Room was comfortable and very spacious.

The room was a great size, plenty of space and it was very clean. The hotel was close to downtown, which is where we spent most of our time. The staff at the front desk were very nice as well.

The only "negative" thing I would say is that the hotel is very close to railroad tracks, but we knew that when we booked the hotel, and it wasn't really a problem, as we were in a room facing the road. Although, that was a little noisy........

The property was very clean and staff was very accommodating. It was next to the Welcome Center which provided a shuttle to downtown welcome trolley.

The phone in the room was not connected. The paint was peeling in the bathroom. Staying on the road side of the hotel was very noisy. The hotel badly needed a facelift.

Price, staff was friendly and it was cool and comfy.

The coffee maker/coffee was pretty awful. Made a mess making it and it tasted horrible.

The rooms were large and updated. The staff was courteous and helpful..

There are no elevators which can be a problem for those who have issues climbing up stairs with heavy suitcases. Thie pool is in poor shape and needs to be redone. The chairs and loungers are worn and need to be replaced. The hotel is good for one or two nights but not for an extended vacation.

I love the friendly and welcoming nature and atmosphere. Water view and downtown. Great food.

I don’t have anything negative to say. I have enjoyed every stay and staff has always been accommodating and friendly.

The Hotel was very clean! Staff was extremely friendly! Location was awesome! Very close to everything, no more than a 5 to 8 minute drive to most locations! I will stay here EVERY time I go to St. Augustine!

Property is located with walking distance to downtown, attractions and restaurants. The customer service is Top Tier Mrs Cindy and Peter were always making sure that your stay was excellent.

The Ponce Hotel was very clean and conveniently located you can walk to just about everything. It offers excellent value for the price. The restaurant was very good, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

The Ponce Hotel in St. Augustine actually managed to surprise me. As usual, my Olympic-level penny-pinching caused me to lower my standards so far that this place felt like the Ritz. The fresh hot coffee was delicious, the towels were folded like tiny Buckingham Palace sculptures, and I thought we’d finally broken our streak of weird hotel experiences… Then we went to the pool. A very enthusiastic group of new friends seemed a little too eager to recruit us into the hot tub. We politely declined the social experiment, wandered over to the pool instead, and ended up having a peaceful twilight swim under the stars. The hotel was spotless, the staff was wonderful, and despite our brief cameo in someone else’s pool party, we’d definitely stay here again.

Lindsey is the most hospitable person. She is absolutely amazing and was very accommodating when we checked in early. My daughter and I have been doing staycations at this hotel because it’s our absolute favorite. Everything is so perfect and we have made life long friendships here. Thank you!

This property is amazing, is not just were is located, (6 minutes from San Marcos Castle.)Since you get in all the staff are welcome you and have you the best experience that you could have. They have a small restaurants inside, small but with a great service and food!! I enjoy so much with my friends that definitely will come back!

Located on a very busy dual carriageway and on the wrong side as you have to cross road if you like to walk.

It was easy to get to. Pool area was nice. Loved having fridge and microwave.

The property is in need of some upgrades it’s a little tired , has the feeling of a motel but for a lot more of the cost . The bed was comfy , overall it was a nice stay it was clean and the staff is very attentive.

The property has a serious moisture issue., Mold and mildew. We were advised to keep the air conditioning between 66 and 70 in order for the room to remain dry. We woke up one day with the floor, soaking wet because apparently the dehumidifier was filled and needed empty. We moved from one room to the other because the first room had an odor of mildew in it that my sister recognized immediately.

Very clean, food was excellent and we loved the pool.

My sister and I stayed at the Ponce Saint Augustine this past week. The staff is very nice. The location is a bit away from the historic district. But I knew that before even booking. My major concern with the hotel is their inability to control the humidity in the rooms. We woke up one morning and the floor was soaking wet. I called the front desk and stated my concern and I was told to put the air-conditioning between 66 and 70°F in order to control the humidity in the room. That can make for some very uncomfortable sleeping. I noticed one morning that there was a gap between the door frame and the floor. Which was allowing the humidity from outside to come in. We changed rooms initially when we got there because the first one we were going to stay in, had a rather musty smell to it. The second room was better. But still had problems controlling the humidity in the room.

The floor in the room was tile thats fine but they need a good cleaning some of the outside walkways need to be pressured cleaned

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. It was a weekend trip for my wife and me. We had our dog also, so it was a great pet-friendly hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend and stay there in the future. Very satisfied.

A bit noisy AC

I like the location, bed was comfortable.

The room was falling apart. Like the door for the toilet/shower its literally flapping from the bottom up from water damage. Where the refrigerator is in a cabinet the fridge is like falling in a water damaged base. So trying to use it was a pain it rocked back and forth when trying to open it. Just disappointed I've been coming here for years now. The price goes up and up but the quality of the place goes down and down.
