Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The breakfast was good could use turkey and chicken options for meat.
The small portion size of salmon that was added to a Cesar’s salad.
The mattress needs to be updated. Very lumpy
No water pressure on the sink or shower. Did not like paying 24$ a night plus tax to park
It was close to downtown and quiet.
That you had to pay for parking in there parking lot at the hotel. It was $24.00 dollars a day to park. Why when you pay for a hotel would they charge you for parking?
Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the refreshing flavored water options. Beautiful hotel with easy access to historic attractions.
Pool area had debris that stayed for days. Pool and sauna needed cleaning of debris and mold. Towels were rough and pretty close to sandpaper. Shower faucet was wiggling away from the wall.
Very little actually. Brandon at the front desk was very nice.
I guess it’s technically in the Historic District but it was quite a walk. Room was dirty (hair in the shower, smell of rubbing alcohol was strong, needed vacuuming, stains on the towels)Closet doorknob came off in my hand when I went to hang clothes. Toilet seat broken which maintenance was unable to fix during our stay. $25/day for parking seemed predatory since half the lot was empty. Breakfast not included and what was served for $17/person was not very good.
Overall, a good place to stay.
...
Breakfast was overpriced for the selection. Very strong smell of cleanser on the ground floor and Lobby.
The location of this hotel is probably the only good thing.
There are a couple of things that we definitely didn't like. First, I need to mention the problems we experienced with the AC at night. It seems like after 11:00 pm the hotel adjusts the AC settings by themselves. There's no remote control for the AC in the room, the only thing is the thermostat on the wall. So, it would show 72 but it felt like 76, I'd change it to 68, it would start running and then stop and would not run again. I was waking up three to four times a night just to change the temperature on the thermostat manually, because it would always show 72 despite of me setting it at 68, which tells me the hotel was adjusting it. Had I read it in some reviews, I would have never chosen this hotel. We addressed this problem with the front desk after the first night experiencing it. The maintenance came quick, changed thermostat, but the issue never was cured. It was the same change of temperature in the evening, which means it's the hotel management was doing that, so be aware. The restaurant downstairs was open at 4:00 pm, but the cook wasn't showing up on time to cook food. Another major complaint we had is the smell of marijuana coming from the bathroom vent. We complained to the receptionist and she said she'd send someone to check the hallway. We haven't heard back from her. The sounds from the hallway are very loud in the room itself, especially in the middle of the night. The breakfast buffet looked like Holiday Inn breakfast which is usually included there, but here they were charging $17 per person for eggs and oatmeal and breakfast burito. All in all, this hotel is like a 2 start hotel, not the 4 start as they position themselves.

Nothing that I could remember
Good location. Easy walk into historic St Augustine
Room needed a microwave. We had to pay $24/day for parking which IMO is ridiculous in this type of hotel. It was just a regular lot w no added security. That seems excessive.
Great location
Could be upgraded or have nicer amenities
Perfecto precio calidad
In good location of St Augustine
Locations
Staff wasn’t friendly and it just seemed a lower standard overall than other doubletree hotels we’ve stayed
Everyone was friendly. Nice place at an affordable price
It was not as clean. Found two large black hairs in shower and bathroom sink was clogged
We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2026. It's a convenient location, and that's about the extent of the "good." Be aware that they charge you an additional $24.99 *per night* for parking. When we checked in, the agent did not clarify this; I believed it was $24.99 total. Also, the buffet breakfast they offer costs $17.99 per person. We avoided it altogether. The entire hotel needs a bit of a refresh. The pool could have been cleaner, and the shower in our room smelled like sewer gas the entire time we were there. There are other hotels in the area that will offer you a better value and experience--avoid this one.
Property was clean and good location
Toilet took long time to fill back up.
The beds were not comfortable at all. And the wall were thin could hear everyone
Clean nicely decorated rooms. Available restaurant and bar. Prime location with a reasonable price.
The hotel was about a 20 minute walk to the historic section of St Augustine.
The hotel charged $24 to park there. You could easily hear people talking in their rooms while walking down the hall. I would expect more from a hotel that charges over $400 a night for a room.
Parking was great
Todo estaba súper limpio y hermoso
Location is good. Nice pool. Staff was super friendly!
My bed was not comfortable.
Clean, comfortable room
Nothing
Great Hilton Property with very reasonable pricing. A short walk to the city gates. Lots of restaurants and coffee places nearby. The lobby and the restaurant/bar area is charming and the rooms are in good shape. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.
comfy bed, clean room
charging me over $50 to park my car!! that alone will keep me from staying at this property next time i come to shows in StAugustine
Close to downtown and staff very friendly
Charge for parking
Wanted to love this hotel but…. Rooms are nice bathrooms are renovated … cleaners never cleaned … was told they had 60 turnovers and couldn’t do it.. GM had maintenance do it and they did do a great job. Bartender is amazing! Really awesome! Desk girl with red hair last evening was inviting, helpful, and friendly BUT the other 2 need a lot of hospitality training. Rude unhelpful tried overcharging for parking. GM could do a much better job communicating and following up. Pool needs maintenance and all new furniture… it’s broken and rusty. Location is great but wouldn’t stay again. Would visit the bar again just for the bartender.
Convenient and Angela in housekeeping is a rock star
Charging $25 a day to park outside. Clerk at check had a sarcastic attitude. No ice machine on every floor and the one on 2nd floor did not work.
small parking lot
Staff is awesome.. Location is outstanding. We've stayed here dozens of times and are booked for a week in the near future.
Location and excellent beds!
Hard to roll luggage on carpets
It was clean and comfortable
The sketchy hotel next door, pay for breakfast pay for parking which $24.00 a day for parking was crazy. Didn’t offer decaf coffee. One of the staff members was great the not so much.
Great location. Very clean. Staff was very friendly & professional
Location to all tourist sites in St. Augustine
Pay to park car& not adequate parking spots
Hotel needs a facelift, several things in my room did not work- one thing that is concerning is that they charge $25 a day for parking- So when you book the room there whatever the price is, you cannot stay there for that price since they do no let you know about parking fees, unless you read the fine print on the property- so if you are driving and on a budget there are Hampton Inn's close by- I would not stay there again, this does not keep up the high standards of other Doubletree's -
Great stay. Location was excellent, we walked everywhere (the fountain of youth, the fort, downtown, etc.), only needed the car to get to the lighthouse and gatorland. The ac was cool and the bed comfy. And of course the cookie was delicious 😋.
The water in st augustine is horrible, the hotel was no different, but they did provide 2 complimentary bottles of water. The water pressure in the shower was poor, the temperature was hard to regulate and fluctuated from hot to cold! The hot tub was not working the first night, but by the second night it was good to go.
Location is perfect. Across the street from Our Lady of La Leche. Walking distance to Old Town. The trolley drives by. Went with my daughter. Room is a nice size, beds were comfortable. Bathroom is big, has all the amenities. There's a mini fridge, iron. Very clean. Lobby is also nice, they have coffee and water. There's a gym, restaurant and bar. Free wi-fi. Parking is extra. Will definitely stay there again.
Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District was deeply disappointing from start to finish. At check-in, the front desk agent was rude and uninterested. She made comments implying that the area was unsafe, clearly to upsell us on paid parking. We were told, “Don’t look up when your windows get smashed in... it happens.” This felt inappropriate and misleading, especially since street parking in the area is free and commonly used. And the area is very safe. Once in the room, the issues only escalated. The room had an unpleasant smell, and the bedding was unacceptable. All four pillows were visibly sweat-stained, and the bedding itself was disgusting. To their credit, another staff member was very kind and helped change the bedding with us. After finally settling in, I went to take a shower, only to discover extensive mold in the bathroom. We reported this to the front desk employee, who moved to a new room. Unfortunately, the second room had the exact same issues: smell, four sweat-stained pillows, dirty bedding, and mold in the shower. At that point, we had no confidence that the situation would improve, so we checked out and left the hotel entirely. We also contacted Hilton customer service, but they did not meaningfully help resolve the situation. The only alternative offered was moving us to a hotel at roughly half the price of what we originally paid, which was not an acceptable solution given that the issue was cleanliness and standards, not a preference downgrade. We ultimately stayed at the AC Hotel St. Augustine at a similar price point, and the contrast could not have been clearer: spotless room, clean bedding, modern facilities, and a genuinely friendly and professional front desk staff. For a Hilton-branded hotel, the cleanliness standards, front desk conduct, and lack of effective customer service were unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
I picked this hotel for two reason. First it was close to town.As an older couple it took us about 20 minutes to get into restaurants. Second was the EV charging station. They only have one and it's NOT a fast charger. It's a level 2 charger. If you want Wifi you have to be a honors member. You can't download anything. They do have free coffee available in the morning with hot water for tea but no decaf coffee was available . They have a small restaurant where you can breakfast for between 15-17 dollars. If you walk up the street Dennys has a good breakfast. Room was clean but rug should be replaced.
Location was great Rooms were clean Staff was very friendly and helpful
Had a few issues with our toilet
Clean, comfortable room, walking distance to old town, friendly staff, water and coffee in lobby
Paying for parking
A $24per nite additional parking fee was never disclosed either on the website when reservation was made or at the time of check in. Was not disclosed until check out when reviewing the bill Not good and deceptive
Had to try 3 rooms before there was one with hot water. Found out later this is an ongoing problem
Had expected breakfast at no charge and meals pricey.
Breakfast no charge and parking included not $24 Per day.
The staff was pleasant when speaking with them. The bed area of the room was comfortable and it was a nice touch having my name welcome me on the TV
The shower wouldn’t drain, the toilet was having trouble flushing and it took me 2 days and asking 2 times and a backed up toilet to finally get it to be fixed. For the price I paid I felt a reimbursement or free meal or something would have been nice to offer. It was hugely inconvenient and made the trip a lot less pleasant and a lot more frustrating.
There was no breakfast unless you want to pay $15.00 What a major disappointment. Left with nothing.
Great location. Everything is walkable.
Parking was rough. The only thing I didn’t like. But everything else was amazing
We stayed here for a 2-night getaway in Saint Augustine. We enjoyed the location in the historic district. The location is excellent, close to the attractions in the historic district. The rooms were extremely clean. And the breakfast was a great bonus. I recommend this hotel highly. The only reason that I would give it four instead of five stars was that it was during COVID, and I am not one who doesn't like my room cleaned each morning. It is a really good and reasonable Hotel.
Desayuno bueno.
The hotel is very nice, great location. The staff is not very friendly or welcoming, especially for $400 + room charge per night. There is no complimentary breakfast. Continental is $15, full buffet is $17. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Overall an ok stay, I guess I just wish that, for the price, the staff could act a little more friendly and welcoming, even if its just an act....LOL
The hotel was in a good location, and the room was nice. However, the staff seemed challenged to provide my (gold member) food and beverage credit, and when I finally got it, it was mistakenly categorized as a charge and not a credit. I had to call the main Hilton office to clear it up.
Located quite close to center. Nice, large room, comfortable beds. Loved the complimentary cookies!
Tired and bored employee at reception, almost rude. Quite limited breakfast. Way too overpriced
.
Everything they charged extra for. Parking ,WFi, breakfast, even a cup of coffee.
Το check in ήταν 16:00.
The rooms looked remolded and nice
Nothing
By far the worst Hilton I ever stayed in. I can't imagine how and why so rude the receptionist was. She literally threw the receipt at me. The breakfast was no good and the breakfast staff was no friendly or so polite. I don't recommend this place at all.
