The breakfast buffet was amazing

While the room was clean the bathroom was finishing and workmanship was a disappointment. AC was also warm during the stay and even in the lobby they had put up additional fans. Getting to the pool was a hastle.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Bath towel got stains on it and the room is dusty especially near the Window’s curtains.

The hotel is located at the river (ask for river view, the city view is not great), so it is very central.

The hotel is by european standards neither a 5 nor a 4 star, but a 3 star. Yes they have facilities like a pool, buffet, elevators, AC, etc... But everything is old and used. The furniture in the rooms has clear signs of age and use. The cleaning lady didn't clean once in our 6 days, just made our beds. Towels were missing during checkin and not replaced when put on the floor, just taken away... And we had two rooms, and in both was the situation the same, so no bad luck...

Buffet breakfast had a reasonable assortment of local food and cereals, though rather limited in Western and fruit selection. Good location among the hotel cluster and close to river and attractions.

The aircon wasn't cold! I set temp at 22C but it was warm at the desk. Even at 18-20C and medium fan, the room still wasn't cold. I finally got it fixed for my 3rd (last) night. Another delegate said his room was warm too whereas one said his was freezing! Airconditioning seems to be inconsistent across the hotel! There was no ceiling light outside the room door - very dim at night as it was the corner room.

The location is the not best but alright. Hotels near the ‘Kuching’ roundabout are better in terms of location!

I was made to wait for more than an hour for my keys when I checked-in. I had to go out for a snack & tea and when I came, it was still not ready!! I got upset & raised my voice! The front desk clerk then gave me a room on the 11th or 12th floor which I believe is reserved for guests paying more for their accommodation because my friends who had received their keys earlier were on the 5th or 6th floor! If I hadn’t made a fuss, I could have lost two hours of my stay in that hotel! The hotel wing I stayed looks pretty run down! *thumbs down* :-)

Spacious , clean & all the staff are helpful. Also nice view for breakfast! Everything is good. Also, you might consider to open a mini convenient store for snacks & beverages.

The air conditioner is a bit unstable because sometimes it takes time to get the room cold.

Outstanding location and great views of Kuching river and city! Unfortunately mostly unmotivated staff with the exception of Ms. Rozzeylevia and Ms. Gracia who showed initiative and went the extra mile to accommodate our requests.

The hotel is dated and is in need of a makeover, for example there were several water leaking spots at the Executive lounge and the first room we were shown was run down (musty smell, flickering lights, cabinet finishing peeling off). Sloppy housekeeping, sometimes missing to replace towels or not emptying the dustbins, not cleaning the bathroom floor or not replacing empty water bottles. Breakfast area was always superbusy and not enough sitting space even though the food was just average.

Housekeeping. Not thorough. Also no adjoining mall as businesses shut down. No steam room nor spa

for two nights stay the first night only 1 towel was provided, the 2nd night there was no towels in. the room and have to wait for housekeeoing to deliver the towels to the room. check in counter staff need to be friendly and show professionalism in accepting guests.

Tbh, VERY disappointing. Booked the most expensive room (executive suite) but its so small! No bathtub even, the aircond was not working and had to call technician. Couldnt even change room and had to wait for it to be solved. I had a late checkin and imagine still cannot rest even tho almost midnight (the technician was very nice and helpful -still an expensive room should not have this issue in first place). TV was old, barely any channels and not even smart tv. Had to shut off using wall plug because tv and remote button doesnt work well. NO HAIR DRYER, the most basic thing and the pantry only have SUGARS which means they didnt properly check the stocks. Minibar was empty (low move for a suite) and drinking water was...tiny. My friend with same room also found there's ironing board but no iron lol. Wifi was slow. For the most expensive room, disappointing and not worth it. I had to express how disappointing this experience because I paid expensive for the expensive room but the whole thing feels like cheap budget hotel vibe. Not recommended, with this price better go Sheraton or Waterfront or Pullman.

The location and views were great, and it was within a few minutes of the hotel.

The hotel could use a refresh—for example, a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Having hand towels makes drying hands easier and more hygienic. The door between the rooms doesn't latch properly.

Good breakfast even for western standard. Location adjacent to the river separated by a busy road only. City centre.

This is everything but a 5* hotel! Not by far. Maybe 3* if at all. No hand towels provided, we had to claim these. Sink was clogged on arrival and the plumber did not wipe the floor after fixing. Threw the busted disgusting material just in the bathroom bin. Air condition was as noisy as an old diesel truck. Impossible to sleep with it switched on. Room was very worn out as well as the whole facility. Finery came off the walls everywhere. Room cleaning was not accurate, hairs found in bathroom after the service. We are as expats in Malaysia and have encountered this frowsy standard all over the country. So don't expect too much, it is still a developing country.

The toilet is not clean. Mold is everywhere. There's no plastic bag for dustbin. The toilet using low water pressure bidet. I think the room is too small for 4 people. Not worth it when you paid RM 350 + per night for that room.

Location as per our journey plan. Breakfast varieties and good. Staff are polite and helpful. My choice for short stay while in Kuching as pricey for long stay:)-. Love to walk at the waterfront at night watching buskers and lightings.

The pool, which is in the Puteri wing was subpar. It looked like it wasn’t maintained properly. The Aircond in the room was really cold (which is good), but the duvet/ blanket that was given made it extremely hot to be under; so it was 2 extremes either or.

I have children’s so we will use swimming pool n gym.but the swimming pool n gym is at the putri wing.we have long way to go there.we only had time to go gym at 8pm.the pool is already close.the way to go there is felt long..so i dont want to take my child to swimming pool the other day.the breakfast is just ordinary.

It suppose to be new, but in reality, the facility seem age 30+ years old. Lack of maintenance.

The biggest issue for us was that the hotel feels quite worn and inconsistent. Some parts seem nice, but others feel outdated or poorly maintained. Also the pool had some murky water which is a clear signs of bacteria. The hotel was almost empty when we visited. We experienced cleanliness issues, which is something we’re quite sensitive to coming from Denmark. There are multiple reports (and we felt it too) of things like mould, stains, or rooms not being properly serviced. The service can be slow or inconsistent. For example, requests sometimes needed to be repeated, and things didn’t always happen quickly. The hotel is marketed at a higher standard, but it doesn’t really feel like it lives up to that. It’s more of a mid-range hotel pretending to be something more. We also had some practical frustrations as a family: Missing items in the room (towels, etc.) Maintenance issues General lack of consistency These small things add up when traveling with kids.

Breakfast buffet and the room (bed and all) are great. There's a small fridge provided but I think its a bit watery. The pool is at the other side of the tower and they provided towels for swimmers to use. Other than that, everything looks good.

Location is fantastic as it is right smack in the middle of the city. I also like that room service has now been extended to 2am which is fantastic. The chicken satay (room service) is awesome!

Room was dirty. Duvet was stained. Room wasn't vacuumed daily so you see dirt and hair on the floor. We also had to remind housekeeping to clean the toilet. Security was atrocious as we were followed into the lift one evening by someone who didn't have a room key and was about to follow us out of the room when he said he was visiting friends at level 6 which was not our room level. Upon reaching level 11, we told him to get out and we took the lift back down to report to your security. This is not the first time this has happened and we have clocked in a total of 41 room nights in total at this hotel from Dec 2024.

Excellent location, good pool with a nice breeze & loungers & towels. Great varied buffet breakfast. Free car park in the multi storey below the hotel . Excellent shower in room and the room was large for the city centre.

House keeping was hit and miss eg no towels one day another day no water etc. decor was tired in some places .

Great location on the balcony overlooking the river. Choice of food was comprehensive but not extensive, however sufficient enough for a wide range of cultures.

Egg station was not always manned so had to request other staff.

The breakfast buffet are really disappointed. 90% of the food so dry like prepared on prevoius day

Om man vill ha utsikt över floden så har man en stor väg utanför så det är mycket ljud. Hade 2 olika rum på pl 7 & 6 och i båda rummen så var fönsterstängningen trasiga så det var väldigt bullrigt med alla mc och bilar utanför. I sista rummet så var startknappen på A/c trasig så det var svårt att sätta i gång den

Breakfast everyday is the same .,

The location is perfect, right in the city centre. We had a room with a view of the river, and the waterfront was beautifully lit at night. A tasty breakfast was included. The furnishings are a bit dated, but the room is great value for the price. The staff were very polite and friendly.

My only complaint is that they played the same two songs on repeat all day and night. It was quite annoying in the night, especially since I was already struggling with jet lag and really needed the rest.
