Courtyard Grand Rapids Downtown

Parking came with room

Food and service

none

Location was great

Pool was ice cold, hot tub was broken, overnight parking in the lot owned by the hotel was expensive.

Clean, quiet and good service.

Location and parking

Hard to remedy but the cooling system is very noisy

The hotel had a plumbing issue and was closed. We stayed at another hotel and did not receive the promised refund.

From past visits the property is great. This time a maintenance issue prohibited us from being able to stay here

Water wasn’t working so the hotel was closed. Happened to try to check in early, which was lucky, as they were able to book us at a nearby hotel with only a couple rooms left.

Good location for my meetings. Clean and comfortable.

Nil.

Nothing We got there and were sent to another hotel because of no water. They should have contacted us before hand

NO contact about no water. Almost missed concert we were attending! BEtter communication was needed

We loved the easy access to Van Andel Arena via the skywalk—it made getting to and from the venue incredibly convenient! The room was clean and made for a relaxing, enjoyable stay!

There was honestly nothing we didn't like—our stay was wonderful from start to finish!

The location and the availability of parking

A greater variety of meals at the restaurant

Nothing

NO WATER. COULDN'T GET A RESERVED ROOM.WASNT GIVIN AN OPTION JUST CRAPPY "sorry" Handled so poorly. Turned in to another hotel last minute for $500 Will be contacting this hotel Monday. Disgraceful.

Breakfast was good.

Great location, right down in the heart of GR. Easily walkable to restaurants, concert venues, stadium, etc. Don't really need a car if you're only doing things in the area! Staff was also fantastic. Very helpful!

Parking is a little bit wonky. There's an overflow lot that's kind of around the corner. Tight spaces. If you need a car, it's doable, but if i stayed again i'd try to manage without one.

Perfect location and well kept property

Closeness to the concert venue, bed was comfortable, parking was easy. Staff very friendly and attentive.

The wood furniture in the room seemed very dated. You have to be standing in the shower to turn on water and get blasted with cold water until you get it to preferred temp. The shower door doesn't shut all the way, water all over the floor.

Loved the location !!

We had no body wash in our shower- the bottle was empty. The trash was overflowing in the trash can by the front entrance and blowing across the grass!

location

I did not like the fact that the bottles of beer were not openly priced and I was then charged 59 dollars for 3 beers that I ought to take to my room…… ridiculous, sneaky, price gouging…. gross

I didn’t have breakfast.

The carpets in the hallways seem to be quite worn and the decor seems to be outdated.

Right downtown and easy access to everything! Staff was super nice and friendly.

The room had toilet paper stuck in the door and a few small things which made it not feel as clean as I would have liked

Absolutely love everything about this hotel, the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect with our concert venue being right down the road!

Was very clean would stay again

No microwave in room

Convenience to where we were going - the Van Andel and bars and restaurants.

No continental breakfast. No water pressure in our bathroom.

Excellent location for downtown activities. Very friendly staff.

?everything!

It was supposed to be a get away and be relaxing with my husband and spend the day in the hot tub and we were not told when booking and checking in that the hot tub was broken. And the sauna rooms are located in only the female and men’s locker rooms so we could not even spend time together.

The location and room was nice.

Staff didn’t inform me about the free parking my package came with and I didn’t get my breakfast coupons. I wasn’t even told about breakfast coupons until check out.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The skywalk to van andel arena was fabulous. The experience was great from beginning to end!!

No complaints

I liked that it was close to van andal arena and you can take a sky bridge straight to it. Also the fact I could keep my car in their parking until 4pm after our checkout was absolutely amazing. Not having to go out and find parking for our event was perfect.

Spacious room, comfortable bed

Wasn't aware the hot tub was out of commission, I changed into my bathing suit, walked down only to see it was being maintenanced or something

The location to the event we went to.

Very thin walls so we could hear the people next door arguing and outside yelling

Great location, easy access to Van Andel Arena for a WWE show

The fact that we could use the skywalk to get to the arena and the staff were all very friendly and professional

Wish the pool was open later lol

price.

Everything

Nothing

Location

For the location and price I excepted more. There wasn’t even a hair dryer in the room.

We really loved the feel of this hotel. Great People-Brittany at the Bar/restaurant was amazing, Staff was all very nive and accomodating especially when we needed a late check out for a Dr appt. They were even cleaning the elevator walls! Just a really great feel in the heart of GR. We had fun walking out the door and grabbing a scooter to go tour the city and the pool and hot tub were great as well. We will definitely be back

The location

There are no USB ports in the room. Was given a handicap room, did not ask for one. There was no vent in the bathroom for shower steam.

We love the location, walking distance to downtown and the skywalk to the arena is top notch!

Location

Dirty room, stained carpet, wall paper peeling, bathroom had low to no water pressure in shower

Did not have breakfast. The person checking me in was great.

The coffee maker did not work. The neighbors were noisy and I could not sleep.

The front desk staff was amazing

I didn't like that. The hot tub was way too hot, and I did not like the fact that we were not allowed to bring beverages into the pool area

Shower / water pressure

The staff was friendly.

Paying $55 to park when you’re staying at the hotel is stupid and a rip off. The bathroom had no towel racks and one roll of toilet paper. The bed was not that comfortable. The food was okay but nothing memorable. The overall experience was disappointing.

Great Location

I liked how close the hotel was to where I was going to for that weekend

I kinda wish the shower was a bit bigger.

I like the location

I would’ve liked to stay, but they had a pipe explosion so we had to leave due to no water being in the building

Friendly staff

Flooded, water did not work, not prepared to check us in, had to wait and we missed our dinner reservation

Nice, clean and simple

Location lol

If you are heading to Van Andel, this is the place to stay.

We had a great stay for a Anniversary celebration

Liked the large room, hot tub and very friendly, helpful staff!

Hotel was close to our concert venue. Easy to wait in line and run to room if needed. Clean, quiet hotel and area around, with lots of restaurants and shops to look in. Would recommend.

Great hotel staff, great location, and perfect stay overall

We had a great stay. Clean and quiet and enjoyed walking across the street for dinner and entertainment. Staff was friendly and prompt at check in.

Centrally located. Clean. Staff was friendly.

No complaints.

The hotel didnt have working water for a day which was a big bummer

Cabinets starting to show wear.
