Everything was amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing sea view. We were warmly welcomed with a lovely fruit tray in the room, which was a very nice touch. The open-buffet breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of food to choose from. Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing stay, and we truly enjoyed our experience.

The water pressure in the shower was weak.

Location was great,Breakfast buffet was also great with plenty options, the view from the room overlooking the sea was amazing.

The noise from outside especially at night was not great. Also you could kind of hear the room next to you especially from the toilet probably due to the vent.

We really liked the location and how easy it was to get around. Uber rides were always quick and easily accessible, which made everything very convenient. The staff were also amazing — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A special thank you to Samira, Fawzi, and Mirna for their kindness and excellent service. They made our stay even more enjoyable!

I stayed at Romance Hotel for two weeks, and overall, it was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. The hotel’s location, facilities, and views are simply fabulous. One of the highlights for me was the breakfast buffet, which I would easily consider one of the best in Alexandria, with a great variety and quality of food. The staff were consistently helpful, cheerful, and welcoming throughout my stay. A special thank you to Ms. Samira and Ms. Gina at the front desk for their kindness, professionalism, and support. I was also very impressed with the laundry service — excellent quality, very efficient, and definitely one of the services that stood out during my stay.

There are a few things worth keeping in mind. The standard room size is not particularly large, especially for a longer stay. The wardrobe and storage space was barely enough for my belongings, and I eventually had to use the couch to accommodate some of the remaining items. For families, or anyone staying for an extended period with more luggage, I would strongly recommend going straight for one of the suites to enjoy more comfortable living and storage space. Another point is the curtains. My room received a lot of sunlight, but the curtains did not provide sufficient blackout and did not fully cover the window area. This made it quite difficult to sleep during the daytime, particularly in such a sunny room. The mattress was also not the most comfortable for me. It felt somewhat hollow and overly springy, with the springs being quite noticeable rather than providing firm and even support. Of course, mattress comfort is a matter of personal preference, but I believe this is an area that could benefit from some attention. Apart from these points, I genuinely enjoyed my two-week stay. Romance Hotel offers a wonderful combination of location, beautiful views, good facilities, excellent breakfast, and genuinely friendly service. I would happily consider staying there again — although next time, particularly if travelling with family, I would definitely opt for a suite.

I would like to raise a few concerns regarding my recent stay. First of all, housekeeping entered my room while I was sleeping, which was very disturbing and unacceptable. I believe guests’ privacy should always be respected, especially when the “Do Not Disturb” sign is in use. Secondly, the rooftop restaurant is not operating, and this is actually one of the main reasons I choose to stay at your hotel. Its closure has significantly affected my overall experience. Thirdly, the check-in process took an unnecessarily long time, which was frustrating, especially after traveling and arriving at the hotel. Overall, these issues have negatively affected my stay, and I hope you will take them seriously and address them appropriately.

The room was quite small, including a very small bathroom. I specifically requested a non-smoking room; however, guests in the adjacent room were smoking, and the smoke entered my room through the connecting door. The connecting door also provided very poor sound insulation, as noise from the neighboring room could be heard very easily.

Food and restaurants

I did not like the Room Hygiene. Old carpet that smells. Carpet was dusty and full of stains. Totally unacceptable.

The location is good.

The standard room has a smell coming from the carpet. It needs more maintenance and is also very small; the bathroom is extremely cramped. The rooms are very noisy with no soundproofing against outside noise. The suite is much better. However, the restaurant manager was extremely rude. I had a full-board booking, but I ate out for two days, so I didn't use it. On my last day, I was planning to eat at the restaurant—a meal I had already paid for—and then head to a meeting. When I went downstairs, I had missed breakfast, so I asked for lunch. He refused, said he had never seen me before, and then went to verify at the front desk that I was telling the truth. I was left standing there while they discussed the matter to verify my booking. I felt so humiliated that I said I didn't want anything and went back to my room to pack. They didn't even bother to follow up or apologize. Upon checking out, the front desk clerk verified that my booking included meals and that they owed me a meal, so he asked the manager to prepare something for me for the road. He still refused and continued to be very rude. They have no sense of hospitality, and I feel they practically robbed me, as I paid for a service they refused to provide. I wouldn't stay here ever again.

The location

House keeping is not relevant enough, the room wasn’t clean and at check in the room was still not ready and even the house keeper was about to bring the tv and i had to wait in the room till he finish and he was approaching for tipping. The furniture is too old and broken and the bed isn’t comfortable. The room also is so small as well as the bathroom.

I liked the hospitality at the reception, particularly of Mr. Mohamed. His welcome is genuine, and he shows he does care about the guest's comfort.

The only problem I had was with my room which smelled of smoke, but the lady in the reception, sorry I forgot her name, kindly changed it right away.

We had a wonderful stay at Romance Alexandria Hotel. A special thank you to Gena, who checked us in and upgraded us to a lovely room. She was incredibly professional, welcoming, caring, and genuinely helpful throughout the check-in process. She is a perfect example of outstanding customer service and made us feel valued from the moment we arrived. I’d also like to thank Mohamed Fawzy, who checked us out with the same professionalism and kindness, making our departure smooth and pleasant. Housekeeping was also excellent whenever we requested extra amenities, they responded very quickly and efficiently. The service from every department exceeded our expectations.

The only areas for improvement would be the room layout. The bathroom was a bit small, and our room did not have a balcony, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the beautiful sea view. We also would have preferred a king-size bed instead of two twin beds pushed together, as it would have been more comfortable. Other than these minor points, we had a very pleasant stay and the excellent service from the staff made up for them.
