Provider-sourced guest reviews.
We went for my birthday weekend and the staff kindly surprised us with a birthday foil on the door and a lovely bottle of wine in the room! The location next to the city park and lake at the edge of downtown was perfect. Very walkable to other cafes, restaurants, shops, the lakefront and cultural district. The room was huge, clean and comfortable and the bed in the king room was MASSIVE! We went to the restaurant for happy hour oysters and I was extremely pleased with the quality of the Fanny Bay oysters and the prep skills of the raw bar staff. Their seafood cold chain is on point and the shucks were impeccably clean! 10/10 would go again
Nothing negative to report at all, just one suggestion: There were really interesting and beautiful historical photos on the hallway walls of rowing teams, passenger vessels and structures on the lake that I would have loved to have had some interpretation panels below to know what and who I was looking at. I feel like that would be a great opportunity to communicate the heritage of the area through storytelling. Maybe something to think about partnering with the heritage center or history department students at UBCO to create in the future!
There was a lovely lady at the check-in desk on August 31. She was very pleasant and very helpful.
The rest of the staff never acknowledged my existence. The beds were well used. The location was noisy lots of homelessness.. My room was not very clean. There was some substance below the toilet tissue dispensers that looked quite suspicious and the pictures certainly didn’t depict what the rooms actually look like. It was kind of gross to be honest.
Room was clean
Hard to get a hold of staff. Restaurant very understaffed
The hotel was close to the beach and we requested a room in the back to avoid the hwy noise.
That I was charged for an early check in of an hour.
I loved the location! Right across from the park and boardwalk! Just a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops.
We had about 20 tiny ants in our bathroom and in front of the kitchenette. Didn’t really care but someone who is scared of bugs might. Didn’t tell front desk but didn’t hear anything further.
Room was large, great location and staff were friendly

Location is very close to beach, city park, bernard avenue. Staff are nice and welcoming. Room is clean. Free coffee, tea in the morning. Cold water was helpful to beat summer heat.
Hotel structure can use a few renovs like in the other reviews. If you are sensitive to road noise, it can be loud.

Location was great. Megan at the front desk was a delight to deal with!
Traffic noise next to the busy street
Nice room but on main road and very busy. Good location despite this, opposite City Park.
Noisy road. Dirty jacuzzi, and sticking bathroom door.
Location
Lots of road noise
The location wasn't great in terms of being on the corner of a very busy intersection. The staff was rude and lacking customer service. She didn't seem interested in making customers feel comfortable and welcome. There were issues with my room, and she didn't offer much help, if any. Will never come back and would not recommend it. We left halfway through our stay, knowing we wouldn't get a refund because of how uncomfortable the stay was, and stayed elsewhere.
We were warmly greeted by Santana at the Front Desk, and upon hearing that it was a special birthday weekend, she upgraded our room to the top floor. We were so impressed with our room! Two balconies (one overlooking the city park), a large soaker tub with bathrobes and slippers, a beautiful bathroom, and with just a nice beachy vibe overall. But what made my stay even more special was answering the door after settling in and being greeted by housekeeping staff singing Happy Birthday to me with a complimentary bottle of wine and a handwritten note wishing me a very Happy Birthday. And indeed it was, in no small part to the incredible stay we had at Prestige Beach House. Thank you to the staff for helping to make our stay in beautiful Kelowna so memorable and special!
Traffic noise
The staff was excellent. Breakfeast was very good and so was Happy Hour in Lounge 27.
Noisy room right beside the road. Also a 2 queen bedroom only had 1 chair inside. No where to sit except on the bed. The deck off the room was too noisy due to traffic that was 24/7. Didn't expect to pay $15 a day to park and we had two cars. Also had to pay $35 early check in because we arrived at noon. Wasn't the room ready anyhow? seems pricy for that one time privilege.
Comfortable with a great restaurant.
The restaurant was wonderful!! I would go there again even if I don't stay at the hotel. It is right downtown in Kelowna so the location is great!! The room required some detail. Another room (occupied by co-travellers) had no issues.
For the cost, I would shop around next time to see what else I can get for accommodation by comparison. The location is great and the room was generally okay but there were several details which required addressing. For the amount paid I would see what else is available.
The location and cleanliness
Would have liked more options at the restaurants that weren’t seafood
Excellent location.
No bath robes that makes going to a swimming pool uncomfortable. Small towels at the pool, you can not wrap it around your body to get warm. The hot tub was out of service and wasn’t working during all period of our stay. Very disappointing
Specifically phoned to see if pool was working. Told it was but not informed that the hottub was not.
Fantastic location, stayed here for a Birthday night, and the wonderful staff left a lovely bottle of local wine and snacks!
I liked the location and the meal we had there at the restaurant inside was amazing. We went for breakfast
I did not like the location of our room. It was right along the main highway so it was very loud. Although they provide ear plugs which is very thoughtful, it's still loud
Comfortable, clean, good location
Check in was slow, pillows were really large, coffee (espresso) in room very tiny, patio door very difficult to lock and unlock
Clean rooms, friendly check in/out.
Pool was a little cold, hot tub was mediocre warm, saw some tiny ants crawling around near hot tub.
The front desk and staff overall were soooo wonderful! They went above and beyond, ensuring our stay was just lovely. The jacuzzi room was a great price for such a cool room!! Great location too right downtown. 10/10 reccomend!
The room was great, easy location to walk from.
Location and some of the staff , food in the 27 bar was great as was our server
Small room , charged for parking , noisy , breakfast was not good
The hotel is simple but very comfortable and clean with great amenities: a small but well-equipped gym, a pool and hot tub. Happily, there is a terrific restaurant attached where you can get breakfast and dinner. What made the experience so great was the staff. They were so lovely to deal with: kind, helpful and really welcoming.
Great location 👌
Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms
Nothing it was great
Location
The beds have more springs than a trampoline and not worth the price for the age of the building ($312) per night at the end of October.
The food at the restaurant was very good as well as the serving staff. Delicious food and lovely ambiance. The hotel staff was lovely.
The bed was hammocking in the middle and it smelled a little damp from the tub in the room. We were mainly disappointed about the fact that on our booking through booking.com we were promised the Beverly Hills Suite and we did not get it. It was our honey moon night and I had booked that suite especially. We were told it was an error on Booking.coms part. If so that was a misrepresentation. We did not want to argue that night as it was late and we were tired. The staff gave us a bottle of wine as compensation which was kind, but really I should have called the next day and asked them to sort out a better discount on the room as we were there two nights and had expected a much nicer suite. Lesson learned.
No breakfast offered/provided. Took a terrible tumble on main floor lobby area - there was something gelatinous on the floor that caused the fall - i have pictures - ambulance was called (a couple staying there had passed by me & turned around when they heard (?) me go down). 5 hours in emerg, spinal compression fracture, injured left thumb (still swollen) & tendon strain (?) right knee (2 weeks into 6-8 week healing there). Looking 4 commensurate compensation (pics taken of the ‘liquid’ possibly from the cleaning cart (this accident occurred near the storage room/kitchen
Floor cleanliness - i saw another spill the next day, 2nd floor, outside the elevator - went down & reported 2 (skeptical) front desk clerk (female) who did follow me up - as we exited the elevator 2 couples were waiting & one of them stepped into the ‘goo’ (?) spill (have a pic b4 that, when i 1st saw it)
Staff at the front desk were friendly. The best Jacuzzi tub EVER in our suite.
Nothing it was a great stay
great location right downtown, comfortable rooms, and the staff was very friendly and helpful
Clean convenient location
Hotel is old and revamped, but looks and feels tired beyond the lipstick. Rooms look at old buildings and it is noisy. Pool was not clean. Definitely not worth $266.00 for a night. If you admire the “what once was then” this hotel offers you something to admire as it definitely has seen its golden years come and go.
Gym was closed when I wanted to use it as doesn’t open until 7 which I think it should be 6 at least. Didn’t use pool or hot tub. Looked okay. My room fridge didn’t work and stuff spoiled. Cleanliness just alright. Beds pretty comfy. If sensitive to noise - there was loud intermittent noise and I was unsure what it was. Provides ear plugs
For the price compared to other hotels in the area, I expected much more. The beds were probably the worst I have ever slept in. Felt like a water bed, although they weren't and with my husband next to me I was rolling into him all night. I am still sore days later. The property was run down and outdated. Lights in the covered parking lots were burned out and flashing and cameras or surveillance were non existent. Considering the hotel is right downtown next to the worst block, this was a huge concern for our safety coming and going at night. Especially seeing as it's 15$/ night extra for parking. Arrived and wanted a shower, but all the towels were oddly wet. Rooms have ZERO sound proofing and you can hear every word of your neighbors and people in the hallway. Next time stay at the Royal or the Eldorado for a better experience if you are looking for a nice hotel in the same price range. The staff were great and friendly. That was the ONE thing that was appreciated.
Location location location. Wonderful staff.
My room was fine but the bathroom was in very run down condition. Areas around corners and baseboards very worn and looked dirty. The rest of the room was fine. I slept well, and the coffee was good.
Old
It’s right at the corner of busy traffic and it’s very noise . It’s said Parker but it’s you barely can see anything There were still somebody’s hair, a lot of hair in the shower
Pretty pricey for what it was. Plus $31 for parking and it was tight! Bed was somewhat comfy and although we were road side, we didn’t hear much of traffic. Prob wont stay again as there are other hotels we stayed at that are newer, with breakfast and less expensive. AND you don’t need to pay extra for parking. Guess depends on what you’re looking for.
With it being right on highway 97 and our room balcony facing the highway it was very busy and super noisy. They did supply ear plugs which we sleep with most nights anyways, but we could not sit on the balcony and enjoy the afternoon sun, it was just too noisy. The "Speakeasy" pub that was in the hotel was fantastic, We went for a few pops and snacks every night. The location made the hotel a must as we walked everywhere and even used the scooters one afternoon to zoom around to check out further locations. The hotel can use an upgrade and the bed was the softest (not comfortable soft) I have ever slept in. The only downside and this is a real pet peeve for me is I checked my CC when we got home and there was a S68 charge on there for no reason. I had to email the hotel to ask about it and they removed it but that just picks my a** when companies put those charges on and don't even let me know what it was for??? If I didn't email them it probably would have went through and would have been out of the $$$.
The property is beautiful, close to lake. The front desk personnel was fantastic, very friendly and helpful.
We’ve stayed here before, and it’s starting to show its age a little the shower was crapy and not great pillows. It’s also next to a major road so it’s louder then some places (ear plugs in rooms) awesome hotel coffee in room!
The room was stunning, beautifully decorated but was so loud with cars and trucks driving by in the night, the whole building shook, the bed and pillows were soooo uncomfortable it was hard to sleep. I would not recommend, it was very disappointing because the pictures made it look soo nice and it was expensive.
Nespresso coffee.
Noise from road
Excellent staff, clean and reasonable hotel. It shows its age, needs a refresh and improved hours of operation of their lounge. I’ll stay here again. Proximity to the boardwalk is ideal.
Central located for our weekend for marathon Lovely hotel and staff Would highly recommend
.
So convenient to City Park and great little eateries! Nice staff and comfy rooms!
Hotel was in a central location with a park and lake across the street. Rooms were updated. Bathroom had a door that didn't work well. It turned into shower area. Made the space difficult. But l stay again, location was great. Thank you
Location was excellent
Great location and quiet.
La proximité du parc et du downtown et culture district.
Le fait que des itinérants soient très près de l'établissement et fume du crack
My room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.
Clean, very friendly staff, great location
The staff were exceptional.
Nice!
Every time great!
The place was clean, comfortable and an excellent location with the exception that it’s located on a major highway so the traffic is very loud. They have ear plugs by the bedside tables. Barring that it’s across the street from the waterfront, city park and beach. Two minute walk to Bernard street with tons of restaurants and shopping.
Good location near downtown and a park.
Pet fee was extremely high. $30/day for a 7lb hypoallergenic dog is a lot.
The hotel is well located to restaurants and the lake etc. it is a nice lobby and the room was clean and renovated. The pool and hot tub were not so desirable. They both looked very cloudy. They need to be cleaned especially the tiles in the hot tub. The floors in the pool area were dirty and needed to be mopped. This was the same in the main hallways as well. We stayed two days and it was never cleaned. Disappointing as it is a nice hotel otherwise.
Location was good BUT way too expensive for what you got
Pet friendly
We looked out onto highway 97 which is quite busy and noisy. Windows did an ok job reducing noise. Pool was pretty green.
Great location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Neighbourhood is a bit sketchy. Road noise is signficant (they do provide ear plugs which is a nice touch).
Gross
You should renovate the whole thing City should involved Very dirty Everything
Close to water and bars and shops
Smelly, dirty. Apart from one waitress, the staff treated us like an inconvenience.
Hotel with large rooms, large shower, clean, no smell in the room or in the hallway as in other places. Great location across the park and the beach. I would rate it as Excellent, I think it was under rated as only Good when I looked it up. Great experience, will stay there next time in Kelowna.
It was all great Great location Great people Great room 👍
