Hotel Zed Kelowna

It’s a fun accommodation. Brings back the nostalgia of my childhood. The kitschy 70’s themed room and check-in area. Loved the fine details like the rotary phone and free yo-yo and comic book. The amenities (pool/hottub/deck/ping pong table room) were great. Free bike rental. Walking distance to the the lake and lakefront park.

It felt a bit rundown from the outside. The location of the hotel felt a little bit sketchy (groups of homeless people in the area). It definitely has a motel feel despite being a hotel.

So cute and kitchy. Nice to be right downtown and the free rollerskates, bikes, stickers, yoyo's and ping pong/video game room was top notch. My 10 year old said it reminded her of Mexico. Colorful and fun but kinda rough.

The pool and hot tub seemed old and not really maintained well. The stucco on the bottom of the pool was pokey and entrances to the pool was not very accessible and the hot tub jets were not working. But it was not the main reason we were there so not a deal breaker. Also a micowave/kettle would have been nice in the room so we could make snacks.

Fun family and pet friendly facilities. Lots for kids to do on site as well. Fabulous location for walking and so much to see do and eat close by. Very friendly helpful staff.

I would prefer to make coffee in room, but they do have coffee, wonderful tea selections and hot chocolate at front desk. I do feel quite a bit more attention should be taken to cleanliness of the whole site.

We had a great stay at Hotel Zed Kelowna! Our family of five (2 adults and 3 kids) felt very comfortable here. The location is awesome. The beach, park, and playground are all just a short walk away, which was super convenient with the kids. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our room was always cleaned on time. We especially loved the lounge area with the BBQs, as well as the pool and hot tub. It was a great place to relax after a day out. Overall, our 6-night stay flew by! We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Hotel Zed Kelowna to families. We’d happily stay here again!

Our stay at the hotel was great, the location is perfect, close to so many restaurants, the beach and waterfront. The hotel has a very cool and playful vibe and plus they provide us bikes. I will definitely come back!

Rooms are too small with no facilities and staff are inexperienced unable to deal with problems. All rooms have had pets so not suitable for anyone with allergies

We love how the Zed keeps the old-school feel and design of this 1960s-style "Travelodge-like" hotel like I grew up with, but updates the plumbing, electrical, and decor. The bathroom was well-caulked and plumbing worked well. We really appreciated having bikes to borrow, and riding south to Pandosy and the beaches was great. The pool was small but a nice gift on the hot days.

You can't really talk about view when your window faces the parking lot, but that's also part of the charm - seeing other folks on their benches (and swinging chairs). While there isn't enough parking spots in the inner courtyard, the access through the gate worked fine.

Die Wände sind sehr hellhörig und das Fenster kann man nicht aufmachen.

I love Zed so much, have stayed before and would always stay again. The rooms have everything you could need for a stay, including being able to plan an iron etc from the front desk. The vibes are so fun, they have a cute merch store, and it's easy walking distance to so many food and drink venues. Easy to meet new friends onsite at the pool or deck and share a drink at the end of the night.

Funky little place at the edge of downtown Kelowna by the lake and all amenities. Staff all absolutely charming, room well equipped and comfy and a great price for what you get. Loved the decor and the art, someone has great imagination!

De locatie was top, aan het meer en dichtbij winkels en restaurants, en de kamer keurig en schoon. Door het kleurgebruik in het hotel word je automatisch vrolijk.

Kamers zijn wel wat gehorig, echter oordoppen lagen al klaar op de kamer.

Leuk hotel in retrostijl. Leuke accessoires op de kamer. Fijn zwembad met jacouzi. Auto parkeren voor de deur van de kamer (begane grond) Goede ligging, makkelijk te voet naar het centrum en aan een park

This is a very 'quirky' hotel, in a great way! This is an old motel that has been stylishly renovated, making great use of what it had. There were several private (from the public) outdoor seating areas including a BBQ deck with all necessary equipment available at reception. There is a small pool and hot tub, and a very nice sauna. It is very central, everywhere was walkable. The bed was very comfortable with excellent white cotton sheeting and hotel quality toweling. Car parking was right outside our door and we were able to leave the car there after check-out time. All staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Fantastic location, walking distance to the park, the lakeside boardwalk, shops and restaurants on Bernard Street.

My only request is for better blackout blinds. Since the outdoor lights stay on all night (likely for security) it would be nice to have better blinds so the room is darker.

Ping pong, games, location, small touches like rotary phone, friendly staff, lobby, hot tub, being on the ground floor, being a walk away from many amenities and destinations, etc.

The shower water was not very hot and the hot tub Jets did not work. The room was a touch small and had a view of the parking lot.

Loved the colour and personality of Zed, and the accessibility to our room ( seems it is a converted motel) with no lift or stairs. Rooms not large but all we needed for one night. Location fantastic, close to central city, restaurants, cafes and just across park from waterfront. Loved the staff's resident dog!

it was close to the hospital, clean and reasonably priced. My only concern was that my wife coughed non stop when the heater was on, that clicked in every 20 minutes. Perhaps the heater needs to be occasionally taken apart ( cover removed and cleaned and filters cleaned ) When I mentioned something to the staff the say the cleaner vaccums heater when he cleans, but a good cleaning inside would help.

I waited 2.5 hours for my second room was told I would receive a discount but its was not the case at check out. Unfortunate because the hotel is super cool. Would love to stay again but a little worried todo so.

The staff member who checked us in was unwelcoming. This tainted our first impression which was unfortunate as we did like the room. He didn’t provide an overview of the facilities and only answered questions we asked as opposed to offering helpful information about the hotel or area. In short, he seemed sour and disinterested.

Super funky decor, very laid back and much cooler than me. Great location in downtown Kelowna, within walking distance of parks and rests. I had a ground floor room so loading and unloading the car was a breeze.

Not enough electrical outlets.. I had to unplug the refrigerator to plug in my computer. Toilets were very low for my arthritic knees

This hotel is next to the Cheetah Lounge and if you stay on a weekend, you can feel the vibrations of the bass in the hotel room until the club closes.

The entire hotel, inside and out, is painted in bright and colourful colours which instantly bring a sense of cheerfulness to anyone visiting. The room (also brightly coloured) had all the amenities we needed although it was on the small side, the bathroom could be a bit cleaner, and the walls were quite thin. Parking was free, which was great, but the spaces can be a very tight fit. We loved the free hot drinks station in reception and the shared guest amenities (hot tub, games room, etc.) looked really cool although we didn't have the time to try any of those. We also loved the small touches like the Archie magazine left in the room.
