Very nice. Good variety
Deluxe corner king room was nice and spacious
Host failed to provide me with the room I had reserved and failed to communicate that she was assigning me a substantially lower value room while still charging me for the deluxe room. This stay was for my wedding night, and the host completely failed to be transparent with the changes. I had follow up and demand a room change for the second night of our stay, it was then corrected, and I still had to pay the higher price for first night.
Rooms were nice kinda pricey but breakfast was included and it was a great food. staff not so much ive been trying to get a hold of someone for a week because i was booked twice by accident i called the day of check n and also cancelled on my end and sent a email to staff the day I mistakenly double booked i was reassured by manager they would wave the fee. But i was still charged a portion of the price 2 room are still shown on my account under active. 1 allows me to request a invoice and the other one does not so i dont know how what exactly i was charged for i just see it on my account. Basically they are not very great on customer service and customer satisfaction
Alfonso from the main lobby upgraded us for our wedding weekend and were so grateful that he did something so special for us. Thank you Alfonso!!

A lovely hotel but a lot to pay considering there was no breakfast or pool etc.
More facilities or slightly cheaper.
Clean.
The location is very good and the breakfast was very good too. They provided two twin/queen beds.
The hotel is very big and every evening, I would see big queues at all the check-in desks? On our check-in day, not even all the desks were manned. The hotel should fix this, it was very very disappointing. Very dirty and dusty closet, mini fridge also dirty with food from previous stays. Even the coffee maker was so dirty that I could not make early morning coffee in the room and had to buy at the pantry. I don't know why these things cannot be taken care of by the Hotel management.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Probably just the city. San Francisco is dirty
Veloce check in e check out
Molto caos
The staff was very friendly, even though we checked in late. The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable while it was squeaky? We loved the breakfast buffet that was included in our stay!
The valet parking fee of $92 was very excessive! We paid to park in a garage nearby (10 minute walk).
Rooms are small and dark. No pool. Staff is very nice. Check in was easy and efficient. Not a great selection of TV channels or apps. I definitely would not stay here again.
This is perhaps the coolest Marriott property in all of the Bay Area. I stayed here a long time ago for work travel and with some very fond memories. Upon returning, I found this place is even cooler and more of a luxury hotel than I remembered it being. They have a real and fully functioning M Club lounge which does close pretty late, but it was late enough in the day where me and my coworkers could escape to for a quiet evening chat. The View bar upstairs is also a pretty cool area to check out also! Valet parking is outrageously expensive, but not surprising considering this is the 2nd most expensive real estate area in the USA. The location is pretty convenient with easy access to Moscone Center and several restaurants in the area.
It’s hard to imagine that you could feel “at home” in a large hotel in the middle of a huge city but that’s the feeling I had from the very beginning of my experience at the Marriott Marquis Union Square. I’m not kidding when I say every single employee I interacted with was so kind and welcoming, from the valet to the check-in to the bellman to the waitresses at the View Lounge on the 39th floor, to the security guy out front who tutored us on how to schedule a Weymo pick-up. We also asked him how far Mel’s Diner was from the hotel and he literally walked us 50 ft down the block and pointed to Mel’s Diner, on the corner! I have to mention the beds were very comfortable, clean and fresh! Overall 10 out of 10 experience for me, I’ll definitely stay there again!
Honestly I can’t think of anything!
Don’t even know where to begin when we checked in we saw that there was a lap in our reservation that they had us checking out on a Thursday and checking back in on a Friday and checking back out on a Saturday. Obviously that was a mistake we wouldn’t check out for one and check back in the next. The lady at the front desk caught it, which was great and she was super nicewas super nice and said she fix it for us. Even upgraded us because we’re platinum members. We were staying a total of five nights. Overall, hotel was very nice. The security and the bellhop were superb. So we drive down to Carmel on thr night the night that was originally messed up. We had made reservations six months ahead at a very nice restaurant. We got a phone call at 7 that we needed to come get our stuff out of the room I said what are you talking about we don’t check out until Friday. They saidno we have you checking out tonight. I said there is a mistake. The lady fixed it for us. We’re not checking out till Friday. They said sorry we’re sold out there there’s nothing we can. Do you need to come get your stuff now we need that room. We did not get to have our dinner reservations. We had to come back . We were basically homeless we had nowhere to go. They would not help us find a place at all. We even spoke with the manager, whichwas a man at that time. Thank God, the Marriott courtyard manager at the fisherman’s wharf got us a room, even though they were sold out also we had to spin triple them out, but she took care of us. She was a real lifesaver. If not, we would’ve had nowhere to go. I personally called and asked to speak to the manager and she helped us. She couldn’t believe what they were doing to us either. They could’ve at least helpedus find someplace to go, but they didn’t. They did not care at all. They did try calling us three times afterwards after I called Marriott we were still on our vacation and our service was really bad. I called them back three other times and left messages and they would not return my phone calls at all no compensation we were out triple the price plus losing our dinner reservations at a restaurant I had made six months ahead. They were very unprofessional. The bell Hopkins security could not believe what they were doing to us they even had security escort as our room to make sure we were getting all of our stuff out. We felt like criminals. It was awful. I would never ever recommend this hotel due to the management. The hotel self great the other employees, great management awful and we got no kind of compensation at It was very heartbreaking specially since this is the first trip, we have taken by ourselves and several years and after my dad‘s death. In fact, the courtyard fisherman’s even opened up their kitchen to make us food since it was so late and we had not eaten plus, we were out all the money on a Uber to get over there. They didn’t even offer to pay for that..
Excellent hotel, a little slow on checkin, very good and helpful staff in all departments, top floor view is not to be missed. Street around the hotel can be a scene with wandering homeless but otherwise a 5 star property.
Nice Marriott with excellent facilities. Gym is exceptional as is the bar(s). Only critiques would be breakfast buffet is expensive (~$45 without tip). It close to a rough area of town (tenderloin) so I'd only advise staying here if it's near things you need to be close to e.g. Moscone centre but otherwise not many complaints.
Great location!
The breakfast buffet was great, but unfortunately understaffed. The food kept running out and there were dishes all over.

Valet had a 40 minute wait and stretched across mission. The lounge is effectively not open on Fridays and Saturdays except for the early morning and breakfast service on a Sunday is wrapped up at 9am. Valet is also $91 per day. Also no real benefits if you are titanium.
Titanium Elite, 8th hotel in two weeks. Have stayed here numerous times. We started in Room 3539, a luxury two bath suite as booked with a view of Alcatraz. The suite is right next to a major electrical room and you can clearly hear the gears in the electrical room as the elevators go up and down. Even if you are a sound sleeper, you would hear the gears. Manager Max suggested room 3639 which is also near an electrical room albeit slightly less noisy. Room 3337: Smaller suite, one bath, with a noisy fan in the shower. Called the engineer to put a cardboard box over the fan which helped. I cannot recall which room we stayed at in February but I believe it was in the 34 stack and that was a much better suite. Excellent gym on the 4th floor. Jessie Square parking garage is close, easy to navigate to, and use. M Lounge is basic. Breakfast is scrambled eggs, two kinds of sausage, The usual pastries and oatmeal with fruit.
During the Charlie Puth concert not too long ago, it was hard to get parking around the place. Parking is almost $100/night and you can't even get basic guidance to the venue and got sent in circles and told to speak with the front desk. When asked for directions from the front desk staff, the lady katie pointed to some one else to ask for help like it was the wrong department to ask if you live here and don't know where something is, how do you expect a person that's not from here to know? its a business hotel, and sure were not very well dressed like other people, but it felt discrimatory just to get simple directions.
Location and facilities great
Suprise destination fee on top of booking
Todo, el servicio, la habitación de lujo, limpieza, el desayuno, etcétera.
La ubicación del parqueo y que nadie hable español
Its impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone at night for some toothpaste and towels, coming down to the front desk and everyone is standing around chatting.
The reception area was cool
Restaurant closed early in my opinion
Up to date, unkept, clean, polite staff, the amenities it offers.
Parking is madness. Food felt like they can have a better selection of the menu.
I am finishing up a three night stay here and a Lifetime Titanium Elite Member. For $300/night, I don't think it is asking too much to have your room serviced. I did not have a Do Not Disturb sign out at anytime but housekeeping did not clean my room at all on the last day. When I came back to my room at 430 PM after being gone all afternoon, I called down to the front desk to request service. They acknowledged my request and said it would be taken care of. I went down to the front desk at 7 PM when nobody came and they said housekeeping had already left for the day. Someone came by an hour later and left towels but did not clean the room at all. This is not satisfactory for a full-service Marriott in a major city. In the future I will spend my valuable company business funds at a location that takes care of its guests and values its lifetime status members.

Camera silenziosa,posizione dell’hotel ottima,colazione buona e varia
The room name said it's a suite. So I was expecting there to be two rooms, i.e. there's a door in between the bedroom part and the living part of that room, but there wasn't a door. It was very open. It would have been better if there was a separate room with a wall and door.
For a large hotel, in the heart of a touristy area, it was very quiet. The elevators were efficient even when my convention let out 1000 people at once. Having water stations and a small market with a microwave was really helpful when we didn't have time for a full meal. And being across the street from a grocery was super helpful also. Additionally, when I requested foam pillows because of an allergy to feathers, they initially said they were out of them, but 30 minutes later I received 2. This saved my night (and money as I would have had to go purchase a pillow for the rest of my stay).
One of the two beds was a little worn in; dipped in the middle. However, I really have no other complaints. I have been travelling a lot recently and this was a very comfortable stay.
I strongly advise against considering this hotel for your stay. The staff is terrible and deceitful. We made and paid for a reservation for a room with two beds, but when we arrived after a long journey with two children, our room was not available. The receptionist, Max, insisted that we cancel the reservation ourselves. After a brief conversation, he told us he would take care of it and assured us that we would get a full refund. However, he misled us, as he canceled the reservation citing that we didn’t show up, and now we only received 50% of the room cost back from http://Booking.com. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible… Stay away from this hotel!

We are a family traveling with kids, and we had reached out to the front desk inquiring on the pet policy for the hotel; one of our kids has severe pet hair allergy. The female receptionist at the front desk was beyond rude with her tone and verbiage during the inquiry call. She basically verbalized that our concern was obsolete, and the hotel cannot accommodate this request. Mind you we were not insisting to have a pet-free accommodation arrangement, we were simply requesting info because it was a health necessity. It was so unnecessary and unprofessional on her part. She behaved in a very dismissive way, and did not care for the health hazard it could present to the potential guests. Too bad that we had previously stayed this hotel before, and never had this poor of guest experience. To be disregarded and disrespected (even just over the phone) was a clear sign that the customer service presented was not what we valued and wished for. Despite its ideal location and amenities, we will no longer be guests here. If you have any pet allergy, just know that your needs matter. Don't be miserable and experience a health hazard while you are on vacation away from home.
Excellent accommodations in a central location. Marriott at its best. Friendly staff. large clean rooms.
It was a very nice place.
It was expensive. It was also too far from the Pier 39 to walk back and forth.
Eva in the View Lounge was absolutely fantastic, she was extremely friendly and helpful during a large convention rush and the rush after a Giants game. She was attentive and has great detail and remembered personal touches she remembered through our the short trip we had to the bar. I would come back 10/10 times just for her service and attentiveness.
Very smooth valet parking experience. Efficient early check in. The View had a relaxing atmosphere with friendly service.
Nice hotel and friendly staff
Pricey
San Francisco Marriott Marquis is what I will call your typical huge convention hotel that you can find in prime locations in most major US cities. The hotel is huge but to be fair, service is pretty good. As a Platinum member, I was treated fairly well and got access to an executive lounge, which is decent. Drinks and snacks are available at all times and there is a decent continental breakfast spread in the mornings. The room is what you expect from a typical Marriott and the internet worked well. As a Platinum member, I have free premium WiFi. There is a destination fee which include various food & beverage credits but honestly it is just a scam that needs to be eliminated soon. US government and state government need to step up and to curb this really annoying practice. If I don't need to stay in this location, I will select a lower grade Marriott hotel just to avoid this annoying charge. In terms of safety, I feel fairly safe at this location. While I will not recommend walking alone at night, it is fairly safe with plenty of car rides available within a reasonable wait. I was able to walk to various spots during daytime too. BTW, it has a nice gym too, as it doubles as a membership gym during daytime.
The hotel is excellent. Everything was great.
We had a beautiful corner room with a beautiful view. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. My room was ready when I checked in which was very appreciated as we were traveling with my 87 year old mom. I felt very safe as The Marriott had security and you needed you hotel key in the elevator to get to your floor. Overall, we had a very good experience. The bell man was very helpful with directions and showing us how to get to the Warriors game on public transit.
The $100 dollar fee for parking my car was ridiculous. I feel like if you are paying for a room, parking should be free or at least at a reduced rate.
I liked the location, kind of close to the convention center. Got a floor upgrade but not room type upgrade as titanium. Bed was comfy, the lack of water bottles situation needs to be explained. Great shower. Club lounge needs better hours and to remain open more frequently with more varied food. Fast elevators
This hotel is definitely crowded but it’s fantastic! It’s clean, and the staff is second to none. The front desk manager Brianna is as good as it gets! I am a titanium elite member and she makes me feel ambassador every time I check in! REY at the Bonvoy elite counter, the other REY at the bellman desk, Kyle and Katie at the front desk! Devante, Elena, and Roberto in the M Lounge— thank you!!!! THE WOMEN MAKING YOUR LATTES IN THE PANTRY MARKET GREET YOU WITH SMILES ALL DAY LONG. I’m pretty sure the hotel food and drink is more expensive than any Ritz-Carlton, so I suggest you head out for meals. A latte is $10 minimum. Other than the expensive offerings of granola bars and chips, I love it here because of the team. The staff. SEE YOU ALL SOON!!!
Cleaners of bed and bed sheets
No drinking water Nortroomservice
Great location nice staff but few minor issues, daily housekeeping requested and not provided, windows extremely dirty, toiletries empty on arrival. Much better hotels in San Francisco that at least manage to get the basics right
Room, amenities, bed, view were impeccable!
Parked across the street because the parking fee is ridiculous! Trying to find a way to drive into the front part of the hotel feels like walking into a death trap. I’ll just uber in next time.
I liked how the hotel was clean from inside and smelled very good.
I don’t like how people already pay a good amount of money for the stay and we still had to pay EXTRA for parking this hotel has 0 parking unless it’s valet parking and for people who have big cars like us the charge for valet was 200 a night which is ridiculous. This hotel should have a parking lot for all of its guest . Not just valet parking .
The location was good as we were able to walk to the Giant's game and to SFMOMA. The room was fine. It was an average room that you would expect if you were staying at a chain hotel.
I booked through Booking.com and was given a rate inclusive of taxes and resort fees. When checking in, the front desk added a required $30 "hotel food and beverage credit" to our room rate and said we could spend $20 of it a the hotel restaurants. The prices at the in-hotel "Grag & Go-Mission St. Pantry" were high- $9 yogurt, $12 sparkling water, $10 still water. So the $20 didn't go far. Additionally, if you want "enhanced wifi" the hotel charges $19.95/day Valet parking is $95/day. I recommend parking across the street from the hotel instead. We paid $35 for overnight parking.
Absolutely nothing
Filthy dirty room and the manager didn’t care
No room service.
The property's nice, location's a standout - super convenient! 👍 Value for money, I'd say. One thing though - the restaurant could be better. The food shop near reception is a lifesaver, got everything for breakfast and more. Plus, it's super connected to all the viewpoints 🚀 Overall, a solid choice for SF!
Location
They were rude and tried charging me again I had to be the one to be like I already paid why am I paying again it just was suspicious to me I would not stay here again and the trash was full when we got there so I question how clean it really is
Parking, staff
I stayed at this hotel and while the room itself was fine, the valet and customer service were extremely disappointing. At 3:30 AM, during an emergency, it took over an hour for valet to retrieve my car. Throughout the process, the staff had a very poor attitude and showed no urgency or empathy for the situation. This was by far the worst valet and customer service experience I’ve had and seriously impacted what should have been a smooth stay.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Location is right in the heart of things. The lobby had suitably Christmas vibes, while my room had a great bed and great views. Special mention for Asher on reception, who went out of his way to make the stay even better — great service from Asher, and a warm welcome in general.
Well planned and executed
Lack of water, slippers and gowns
Great hotel, awesome staff, very clean quiet rooms. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s close to everything in the city
We stayed at the Marriott Marquis for a summit. As diamond members, we received a suite upgrade. It was an unexpectedly beautiful, large suite with a living room and plenty of storage. A wonderful surprise after a very long flight.
Clean and good amenities
Pricy
I am having such a good time at San Francisco Marriott Marquis! The room is awesome compared to the other Marriott's within the area, the location is great and not only that the best part about this whole place is the service! I wish to name the front desk Sabina which provided me exceptional service from the moment me and my wife went to enquire about the hotel till helping me check in at every step of the way I feel welcomed and enjoyed the thoughtfulness, attention to detail and interaction. She ensured I had everything I needed from the moment me and my wife checked in. Being a Marriott Platinum member I’ve stayed at many marriotts across the world and her service is one of the best I’ve came across. Such great customer service deserves many accolades and I definitely will be coming back to the same hotel for the room, the location and more importantly looking forward to her service again if I ever visit San Francisco. It’s rare to find such a dedicated, thoughtful and outstanding service staff. 11/10.
A proper conference hotel, it has all of the amenities you could wish for.
It is pricey and very busy with events in the evenings.

Clean and well located
No real problems ... maybe the layout is a bit confusing
