Very comfortable and excellent location
It was very close to the seafront, opposite a small park.
When we entered the room it smelt musty and we were unable to open the windows to get any fresh air.
Breakfast and food was good and genrral location.
Book a superior room but got a shower over a bath instead of walk-in shower. when I queried this with staf they said that the former were the superior rooms. not good for us 80 year olds stepping into a bath where you can't stand with two feet together because of the narrow width of the bath.
The quirky individual style and old photos of Worthing decorating the interior.
Lovely breakfast staff. Hotel so comfy. Loved the lounge. Great location.
Good restaurant
No lift
Great location and friendly staff
The room was cramped and outdated and smelt a bit musty. Despite advertising that it is wheelchair accessible, it was not.
I liked that it was clean I liked the breakfast. It was cooked fresh. The staff were very very helpful, including helping us park the car. The room was lovely. The bathroom was nice. Everything about it was nice. Location was brilliant also
I would say the only downside to this property is it’s not accessible we have a disabled daughter that uses a wheelchair that we couldn’t stay there with but other than that there was nothing I could dislike about the place
Great location. Older, character filled hotel. Friendly, helpful staff.
Very good Breakfast.Excellent location..
My single room was a little basic,No air con & small but adequate en- suite.
Good room, good breakfast. Very helpful reception staff.
Staff are super friendly. The hotel is excellent value for money, it has retained all of the Edwardian/Victorian charms but it is trendy too.
I wish they had vegetarian sausages on the breakfast buffet, but I guess they could go to waste if they did. I am also sure they could make some if I asked them.

It was in a great location
The room smelt fusty
The breakfast was good and the food generally very good.
It was very hot and the air conditioning was not very effective. Also there was a lot of trouble with the television and the Wi-Fi was not that great either.
Very nice, clean room overlooking The Steyne. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Good variety of food for breakfast and food from Indigo was also excellent.
Nothing
The location is excellent, between seafront and town centre. Very good choice at breakfast and friendly staff.
We stayed during a heatwave so, with no air conditioning, the choice was opening the window for air and all-night traffic on a busy road, or keeping the noise out and roasting. An upright fan was provided but only moved hot air around. The pillows were all hard.
Location
No aircon in single rooms.
Everything
Nothing not to like
Friendliness of staff, cleanliness, comfort food and location.
bedrooms comfortable and communal areas clean and welcoming. Breakfast had lots of choice and service good
The bathroom in my room was tired and could do with a refresh
Excellent position, lovely staff. Good food. Comfortable bed
Bathroom needed updating. Bedroom was clean but a bit shabby.
Very good location Quiet room All staff efficient and helpful
On street parking only available; no vouchers provided; difficult to get parking close to hotel
Breakfast was okay. Location was excellent for exploring. Staff were helpful and seemed happy. Lots of local pubs and restaurants were nearby.
Had to park and pay across the road. This could have been made clearer in the description. It was okay however. Bathroom was not wonderful but again okay. People shouting woke me up during the night but that could happen anywhere.
The hotel was clean and comfortable with a lovely bedroom
It was incredibly overpriced
Good quality and choice of breakfast . Great location very close to the beach and town centre . Interesting collection of photos of old worthing and elsewhere .
Nothing springs to mind
Location. Breakfast room and buffet choices. Evening drinks in the bar, and they kindly put the world cup football on for the England game for us.
Too many stairs and random narrow corridors. It was abnormally hot outside but there was no AC anywhere only small electric fans. Couldn't open windows as was noisy. The room key was attached to a super heavy key ring which was uncomfortable to carry around. We had booked to stay for our wedding anniversary and the reception staff did not acknowledge this and each person we dealt with was grumpy as if we had interrupted them. If it was one person you could put it down to a bad day, but this was two or three different people at different times of our stay. My husband jumped in to assist a very elderly couple that were trying to get their suitcases down the many stairs as nobody from reception bothered.
Excellent bar and proactive staff. Although one or two were a bit severe? Hotel very convenient for the sea and shops.
Apart from 'severe' staff, the double room was absolutely baking and the single room was too small.
Very very clean food was lovely the breakfast is really good and by he staff are helpful and really nice
Nothing to say it was all good
What a great hotel . The best in the area. Lovely clean room with great size bathroom. Great staff that are very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast. Having stayed in the other local hotels this one is by far the best. Had a great weekend. Thank you to all of the hardworking staff.
The staff were excellent. So friendly and helpful.
Nothing really.
Comfortable clean hotel. Good location. Friendly helpful staff.
All an old-school seaside resort hotel should be! Welcoming, charming and accommodating are the three adjectives that come to mind. I booked a single room for a two night stay in early July; as soon as Richard became aware that I was on a business trip, he put a meeting room at my disposal free of charge. I returned earlier this week and held an all-day meeting in another larger room. The facilities were ideal for my purposes and an excellent sandwich lunch was provided, all at an extremely reasonable price. I felt better having stayed at The Ardington, not a sensation I often experience after working away from home for a few days…
We celebrated the life of my brother at The Ardington. It was a lovely venue with a private room and really tasty food. A big thankyou to all the team.
Clean handy as in central
Noise after midnight, gulls noisy in early morning but it’s by the sea so standard
Its location and helpful staff a great breakfast
Not a lot
Excellent staff, nothing too much trouble. High quality food and great location, 2 minutes jo the sea and 5 minutes to shopping centre
Faultless
The room was well appointed, clean & comfortable. Staff very friendly & helpful. Good location for the seafront and the centre of Worthing. Generous breakfast with a very nice pot of tea.
The noise from an event in Steyne Gardens across the road, though the hotel responded very well and moved us to a back room. Parking was a bit tricky at around 6pm as parking bays near the hotel were full, though we managed to move the car late evening. The property itself was great.
Beds were comfortable but the room was very hot and we couldn’t open the windows. Staff helped us with that though. Nice lounge and dining areas
Bathroom could do with updating. It’s a bit institutional in terms of its style.
The breakfast was lovely the bed was very comfortable room was clean and tidy, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nothing
The bedroom was clean and decorated nicely. The bathroom is in need of an update. The pillows were hard but the bed was comfortable. Apart from the windows, the ventilation was poor, however there was a tower fan in the room.
The hot breakfast buffet could have been hotter but the selection of both hot and cold and what you are able to order is plentiful.
Stunning and so clean.
Nothing
Great breakfast, comfortable bed, nice room
1970's Bathroom and shower over the bath, albeit spotlessly clean
It was a very original looking hotel really welcoming and comfortable the receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
Nothing at all
Nice building good location
Way over prised for the room even with my level 3 booking discount
Comfortable, relaxed place to stay with helpful, friendly staff and the breakfast was first class! Superb location, central but quiet. Near/on the coastal bus route, so easy to get to Shoreham etc. which was helpful for us. We would definitely stay again.
There's nothing we didn't like.
Breakfast was delicious, especially the poached haddock, room was clean and comfy, the hotel has old school charm and the staff are very friendly❤️
Good location, welcoming and modern
The receptionist called out my room number when handing over the key and there was at least 2 people behind me who I didn’t know. Just felt wrong. Premier Inn’s never do this for safety reasons.
The big windows made it light, especially on sunny days. Nice size room and a decent size bathroom.
The hotel was a friendly atmosphere and a more traditional and comfortable feeling. Was nicely decorated throughout.
We held our 50th wedding anniversary celebration at the Arlington Hotel last Saturday, 6 June 2026, with our whole family and many friends in attendance. The hotel delivered a function beyond our wildest dreams, and we will be forever grateful for the outstanding attention, service, and quality of the three-course meal. All 30 guests were united in their praise for the hotel’s facilities, service, and food. This special day was transformed into an unforgettable occasion that we will treasure forever, thanks to the Arlington’s close attention to every detail
Location and great breakfast
Our room was quite outdated and although advertised on booking.com, parking is not included. Rather challenging to find a parking place on the street.
Great breakfast and service
It would be good to be able to open the bathroom window
Great location. Clean good sized room. Fab breakfast and helpful staff.
Advertised as having hotel parking included in the price but it was only on street parking when a space could be found and which required the purchase of a parking ticket. Pillows were too hard for my liking but that’s personal preference.
Amazing location, 2-minutes walking distance to Marine Parade. Gorgeous Victorian style of the hotel. Comfortable mattress and lovely snacks in the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice hot breakfast with plenty of food and really good coffee.
We've requested a cot for our 3-months old son, didn't expect it to look more as a playpen
Breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive.Bed was large, comfortable and bedding was good.
Our bedroom was VERY warm, and this was not helped by the bathroom towel rail being on full for the duration of our stay with no means of controlling it or turning it off. The view from our window was awful just a flat roof and large pipes. Not what we were expecting at all and probably contributed to the room being so hot.
Everything was great, the staff were helpful and happy!
Nothing!
This hotel is in the heart of Worthing, just across the road from the main high street and just down the road from the sea front. It is friendly to all and the food was lovely, especially the breakfast. Definitely would go here again
Friendly, location
Quilt was very thick - too warm given the hot weather
Overnight stay to see show at the Pavillion Theatre, for which it's in easy walking distance. After phoning for parking advice it was suggested drive around the square a couple of times to look for on-road parking, and this worked a treat. Parking charges stop at 6.00pm and any time paid for beyond then carries over to 9.00am the next morning and for £8 we had overnight parking from around 4.00pm to 11.00am. The hotel looks unprepossessing from the front but it's actually quite big. First impressions on arrival are a dated feel, however it's in good decorative order, well maintained and unbelievably clean. From check-in to restaurant to departure all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was a standard double. It had a fairly small bed and no air conditioning and in the midst of an unusual 30°C heatwave in May this did not make for a comfortable night's sleep. There was a fan in the room which helped and was thankfully quiet enough to leave on over night on a low setting. Small, fairly dated bathroom with walk-in shower but everything worked and was very clean. We had dinner and breakfast in the 'Indigo' restaurant . It's open to the public and has a semi-separate identity. Dinner was really pretty good and service excellent. Breakfast is from a hot and cold buffet with items like Eggs Benedict available to order. Couldn't find fault and the service was as good as in the evening, my only complaint was that the breakfast service stops at 9.15am midweek (though I read that it extends later in June onwards). This is a bit early for leisure travellers in my opinion, and the only people we saw having breakfast were leisure travellers. If I was rating on room and sleep quality alone it would be a lower score but other aspects have lifted my score. All-in-all would be happy to go back but would probably book a larger room with air conditioning next time.
Location
Very run down Furniture tatty very old Checking was late Overpriced Given another room that was not what I booked No walk in shower , tiny tv which I couldn’t see from my side of bed Chips in bath tub Ceiling tiles hanging down in corridor Garden view was litteraly someone’s garden which was not pleasant
Staff was pleasant and professional. Location was good. Restaurant served good food in a pleasant atmosphere with attentive waitstaff. Large, clean bathroom. The room was clean and the staff cleaned it each day.
I developed a cold and found the room to be too stuffy, even after completely turning off the heat. The windows were painted shut and there were additional soundproofing windows, so it was impossible to get fresh air. We decided to cut our stay short by one day, and depart on the morning of May 17th, instead of the 18th. I called the hotel from a restaurant midday on the 16th to advise them that we would be checking out on the 17th. When we were checking out, I asked if we could get a refund for the one night. They informed me that Booking.com "had already grabbed the full three night charge." The hotel staff had been very nice, so I did not dispute it. When I got home and saw my American Express bill, I see that Booking.com did indeed post the charge on May 12th, and we didn't arrive until May 15th. I would be willing to split the difference with Booking.com, but we got no value for the third night for which we were billed.
Top Lage und freundliches Personal
Great location for Le Shuttle
Was expensive for what you got and had to pay additional for parking
Faultless staff, service and overall stay, on 2 occasions in May
Super location. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable bed. Responsive reception.
The restaurant wasn’t open that night.
Location
No car parking, but I know in advance and was able to get street parking.
A very comfortable room clean and tidy hotel great staff only stayed one night so didn't get the chance to try the restaurant or bar did have a very good breakfast before leaving.
Nothing.
Was really cozy, lovely staff, and breakfast was good in the morning! Parking outside the hotel was nice too!
The Staff at the hotel we're all extremely polite, curtious and helpful in anything required very friendly atmosphere.

Second visit to this hotel. We come for the Worthing Surf Music Festival. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is gorgeous with lots of choices. But the best thing is the friendliness and service all the staff give. Really top notch service!
Above and beyond service
Single rooms at the back need a little attention but my son was upgraded and his room was comfortable and the staff were super kind.
Lovely clean hotel lovely staff location excellent breakfast wonderful
Hotel should give out temporary Car parking permit while staying at hotel otherwise parking is very expensive in the road
Location Transportation Good food and service Friendly and efficient staff.
Lack of accessibility, most rooms are upstairs, esp if you want a good view, and there is not a lift. Steps to get in everywhere, lack of railings.
Brightly decorated welcoming hotel with superb food and generous bfast. Great value.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and hosted our roadshow in the meeting room on the 25th-26th April with our team. From start to finish, everything was excellent. The entire process was smooth and well organised. I would especially like to thank Richard and Suzanne from our very first email communication to the warm welcome on arrival and making sure everything was perfectly arranged throughout our stay. Their professionalism and support made a real difference. The hotel’s location is also fantastic and very convenient. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel for both business events and accommodation.
It was comfortable and in a convenient location . Lovely receptionist
No bar staff
A very friendly welcome and the softest towels i have ever used.
Welcoming, nicely furnished, relaxed vibe, nicely laid out. Location was good. All staff were very friendly and welcoming helping and giving good advice when asked. They very kindly started breakfast extra early at 7 am so Brighton marathon runners could have whatever they liked before leaving and looked after bags all day. This was very much appreciated. Breakfast was very good too!
Nothing to not like.
We celebrated a significant anniversary dinner last night at the Indigo. It was amazing. The service was outstanding and lovely, the food and the choices were superb and the fixed price menu was incredible value for money. We were given a complementary glass of bubbles! If you want to celebrate an event in relative luxury and don't want to break the bank this is the place to go.
Breakfast was excellent in all respects
Nothing
Easy to find and public transport
Noisy
Lovely green location near the seafront and close to shops and facilities. My single room was the size you expect from a single and perfect for me. Breakfast-well, what can I say? Not only the usual large buffet with cooked items but also a selection of courses cooked to order. It would be worth staying a week to sample them all. I had the smoked salmon with scrambled egg. Delicious.
No complaints.
Simon and his team were terrific. They gave us a wonderfully warm welcome and went out of their way to make our ‘family weekend’ feel like we were with family. Genuine old school hospitality at its best. Genius. Keep it up. Thank you. Terence.
Lovely hotel in a great location. The staff can’t do enough to make sure you’re enjoying your stay. Fantastic breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nice location. Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Spacious room
Parking was a challenge. Room rate twice as much on the Saturday.
Big bed and lots of coffee and tea
Huge heavy key fobs, dodgy lock on door and inconsistent hot water
We had our 65th wedding anniversary at the Ardington. Private room for 15 of us and 3 course dinner. Superb food and service. Could stay in room as long as we liked. Had use of projector and large screen which we used for family photos. We could not think of any way it could have been better.
My family and I arranged an 80th and 90th afternoon Birthday tea for both our Father and his wife. Can thoroughly recommend the Ardington for special functions etc. Very nice venue, delicious food especially the scones (!), all very nicely presented. The hosts Richard and Simon were very friendly and helpful. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed with the attentiveness and capacity to offer a variety of food to my little nice who has an egg allergy. Thank you so much. We all had a marvellous afternoon tea!!
Location, breakfast, room facilities
Room very cold during the day but ok evening and night.
A good breakfast and we also enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant on our second night in Worthing. The room was clean and perfectly acceptable
The hotel advertises parking available but that is in fact on a meter on the street outside and not in a dedicated car park
Staff friendly and helpful Breakfast was tasty and good value
First class hospitality!! Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to Richard and his team at the hotel , they are all amazing. I had my retirement party/meal here and from first enquiring about it to the actual evening itself. It was seamless, any questions answered promptly, he explained everything aboutthe function room, menu choices, decoration, times - fabulous support and service! We had a set meal with 3 choices, amazing value for the quality of the food served. On the evening itself, all the staff from barman to waiters and the supervisor were so friendly and efficient and accommodating to our needs. They were discreet but efficient. I cannot thank them enough. The hotel itself was lovely, the bar was modern and comfy. The restaurant served an excellent breakfast, there was a buffet breakfast but also a cooked to order menu, which had a number of fish choices including; Finnan haddock but also kippers along with egg royal, eggs Benedict etc. The room was clean and ensuite huge. The bed was a four poster and so comfy and bedding luxurious. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant, well worth a try. They also have themed events throughout the year. Apologies for having no photos as enjoying the moment,😊😊
